1-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality prints
I recently purchased a refurbished HP Photosmart 335.
5-0 out of 5 stars HPPhotosmart 335 Printer
This printer was purchased for my wife's birthday and arrived
5-0 out of 5 stars A real winner for low cost portability!
Good printer for on the go.Take it with you on vacation, business trips, wherever you might need a photo printed. It is a little slow to print (between 1 and 2 minutes per photo) and sure the paper and ink are a bit pricey, but all photo printers are.If you want cheap get your photos developed at Wal Mart or Target, but if you want convenience, a reasonable price, and the ability to print photos when and where you want then I'd go with this printer. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Not durable...scam artists at customer support
We bought our photosmart printer about eight months ago and it recently started having paper jam problems. We have probably printed about 40 pictures on it total. The problem go so bad it would not print anymore. We called technical support and they said that it was a "software" problem and that the printer's warranty for software issues is only 90 days. They wanted $59 to fix the problem.
5-0 out of 5 stars Nice printer with only a few problems
This is a solid printer with problems typical to HP photo printers.

1-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating Cartridge Problems
This printer was very nice for the first month we owned it - nice pictures with the photo printing cartridge. Then, we had the first cartridge "failure" and it has been downhill since.Nearly brand new cartridges fail, producing horrible prints and wasting large amounts of money. All of our attempts to get help from HP did not solve the problem and now we don't even bother trying to fix the failed print cartridges. They still work, just make awful looking print outs with lines through them.I don't feel like throwing away another 30 bucks just to have the nearly full cartridge fail in a couple of weeks!Remember when HP was a sign of a quality printer?I'm starting to forget too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely flawless!!An Excellent companion to your Digital Camera!!
We have owned HP 7760 printer for over a year, and it has been absolutely flawless!!Very easy to use, with surreal print quality...it works even without your PC!!Great companion to your Digital Camera!!Highly recommended!!
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Printer, Superb Price
This printer was given as a gift two years ago, but would not work with my Windows 95 PC; however, when I upgraded to a new iMac this year I pulled the HP Photosmart 7760 out of the box and gave it a try. Installation was straightforward, though I did have to "modify" the USB cable -- which, inexplicably, you must purchase separately -- to make it fit into the printer side of the connection. Otherwise the printer was up and running within minutes.

1-0 out of 5 stars Crucial pieces broke off
I have had my 7550 printer for 3 years. After the 2 year point the black cartridge stopped working.Replacing it didn't work so I used it in "reserve mode" for a year (only using the other more expensive color cartridges).Today one of the color cartridges stopped working.I found a tiny black piece of plastic at the site, so I checked all three. Lo and behold, the little black pieces that hold the cartridges in place are missing from the two cartridge doors that are not working.I checked the third one and it is hanging by a thread.Three times a charm... sounds like a major design flaw.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Printer I ever owned
I love HP printers, but this one takes the top award. It prints photos, word documents, and whatever else you want it to with ULTRA high quality. The LCD just adds to the design. Ink can be expensive as this model holds ALL 3 (black and white, color and photo) all at once, unlike lower models. Its easier though, and well worth it! This is some printer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great printer
I am not a technophobe, yet I found this printer easy to use and operate.I have printed all the way to 8 X 10 photos with no problems and great clarity.I really like it, and have owned it since they first came out over a year ago with no problems. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars would like to give it 5 stars, but does not work
Unfortunately, this machine does not work yet. Rather than hassle the return centers and all that, I am electing to take it to Olympus, down the street from me, and pay to have it fixed. Hopefully I can then update this review.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing printer
This printer is amazing in its output. It is functionally equivalent to the P-440, which is newer.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing!
Got this printer for $199 new (plus tax). This is the only printer I have ever used that literally is plug and play.No tweaks or fiddling with settings (though the option to do that is available).Right out of the box it prints so good you'd think you were in a Kodak or Fuji lab.I've shot photos with Lumix LC5 and Lumix FZ20 and the prints are spectacular. The trickiest part was loading in the new film, after using up the sample film that came pre-loaded.It took a couple minutes to read the directions.Someone else commented about this and gave the printer a "1" rating.Big deal. After you install the film once, you've got the idea.

5-0 out of 5 stars Canon printers rock!
I bought this in a fit of dispair after yet another battle of errors with my hideously expensive Epson printer-copier-scanner.The print quality on the Canon is just as good, and the function is better, as the Epson would take either no pages or 5 pages at once. And for all that the quality is good, Canon's not a ink-drinker, either.
5-0 out of 5 stars First Class Quality at Low Price
Replaced my Epson Photo Printer.Ink cartridge are readily available and dirt cheap.Epson was not as good.Cons:I find it a bit slow.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!!!!!
I upgraded to this printer, from cannon 4400, was good deal on this printer, only takes 2 brands of ink, color 24 and black, very, very good in pictures, and I dont have to wait to download my pictures anymore, from kodak software that takes forever, and sometimes kodak softweare dosent work right.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good printer ruined by print stickiness problem
I have had this for about a year - great looking results, especially if corrected and printed from a good software package. The stickiness problem seems insurmountable.I have tried several different papers and drying times up to 3 weeks, but they will always stick to photo album transparent material (have tried several brands).I wish HP would sought this problem out - also occurs with prints from other HP printer models. Finally bought a Cannon Selphy dye-sub printer which does not have this problem.

2-0 out of 5 stars Quantity not quality
At the time of purchase I was considering a few cameras.I not only considered the individual cost but also the price of paper and ink.At the time I thought that I had made the right choice by selecting the most cost efficient item. The printer is very easy to use and prints quickly. For quick prints where quality is not that important this printer is great. If you want quality pictures this printer does not even come close to its counterparts. My friend bought the Kodak printer the same day.Her printer is slower and runs out of ink faster but the prints are phenomenal. My prints come out more quickly but the quality is just not there even when set to all of the best options.I wish now that I had gone another route. The printer has just one color cartridge for all colors, however if you print a lot of one color (example pictures at the ocean) then other prints look oddly greenish or redish without the cartridge suggesting a change.I also have a problem with stickiness, I have tried both the premium HP paper as well as other brands and it comes out sticky. The pictures stick to my frames and scrapbook covers even after several hours of drying time. For quick pictures to pin on a bulletin board or give to kids this is great, but for memorable lasting photos this isin't the best bet.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in NY
At first I loved this printer, it is simple to use and can be used alone or through your pc.Unfortunately the photos never dry.At first I thought it was because I either framed them or put them in an album before they had a chance to dry.I then printed some and let them sit out to dry for weeks and the photos never dried.Any photos that I have framed eventually stick to the glass, particularily the darker spots of the photo.I even got a new printer from HP and still encountered the same problem...has anyone else had this problem? (Yes I am using the correct HP paper and ink) ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad, bad, bad
I used this printer twice and kept getting "paper jam" although there was no paper in the printer.Had to send the product back.Wouldn't buy another.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good bargain, good pictures
Since I got my digital camera I'd just been saving everything to CD and not printing anything out because printing through a website gets so expensive!I'd rather just have my own little printer, as long as the prints are good. The prints from this are great, and although they smudge if you don't allow them enough time to dry, they are good quality.I can't speak to fading yet, because I've only had it a month, but so far so good!

4-0 out of 5 stars Does the job as described.
I bought both the HP Photosmart 230 and the Sony DPP-EX5 and both produced a high quality picture.About 98% as good as developed from a service on kodak paper. The 2% represents the finish (which is a bit sticky till it dries) and some pictures come out a hair light (which is actually a good thing if your pics come out dark).Either printer would do the job, I settled on the HP for the name and choices of paper and easy access to many accessories. You won't be disappointed with the results of the printer. It is worth the money. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Little Printing Machine
I bought the Sony Digital Photo Printer (DPP-SV77) about a year ago with the intention of using it for all my 3-0 out of 5 stars worth the money if you don't want to mess with a PC
We bought the DPP-SV77 because we recently had twins and wanted to make photos available immediately for friends and family. Our printer for our PC just wasn't up to the job. This printer has some legitimate problems but does a credible job if you don't mind some oversaturation on your color prints. The machine tends to put way too much red in photographs especially caucasian skin tones. Where the machine really shines is the black and white mode. Beautiful pictures! Great contrast, and an accurate grey scale. I also really like the ability to make wallet size prints. The manual is pretty exhaustive, to be honest I never read it. We use a sony digital camera with memory stick so compatibility is smooth and effortless. The controls are very intuitive and I found that while the flip up monitor wasn't terribly bright and often misleading (some menus are difficult to read, the colors on the monitor don't reflect your end result) it was still nice not needing to be hooked up to a PC. Overall, it was worth the money for us, it does what we wanted it to do. However, because of the color "problem" and the fact that there is a finite size you can make a print (4 X 6) if I take some really good color pictures that I want to blow up or frame I'll be taking my business to a professional printer.

4-0 out of 5 stars Glorious prints, implementation a bit clunky
I bought the DPP-SV77 because I wanted a way to take my digicam media (CompactFlash) directly from the camera and make prints without using a PC. While the DPP can be connected to a computer, the built-in LCD makes this really unnecessary.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Ink Hog and Printhead clogger
This printer, I have had two of them, is an ink hog.Fortunately there are many firms supplying refilled cartridges or comaptibles for under $9.The problems lie in (1) the print head clogs (2) the printhead does not readily clean (3) you can't clean the black and color printheads separately or by color ... so you waste a lot of ink.
1-0 out of 5 stars Ink Guzzler
I'm constantly having to run the cleaning maintenance which sucks up ink (you have to waste both color and black inks even if only one is leaving gaps in your printouts). After multiple back-to-back cleanings it still leaves white lines. I give up after awhile and have my husband print things out for me at work. And the on-screen gauge of how much ink remains showed up once and never appeared again! It won't print black text if you're out of color ink and vice versa. I get very few prints out of each cartridge. The ink cartridges are very small besides being very wasteful.

1-0 out of 5 stars Hated it...
We were talked into this thing by an enthusiastic salesperson, and where stuck with it for two years. It cost easily 10X + it's sale price in wasted ink. Only about 10% of ALL attempts to print photos and documents actually have produced usable products!!! That's not an exaggeration 1 in 10 print attempts will be excellent, or something you would even consider to put in a frame or send to someone, the rest look like creatures from black lagoons to amateur screen printing mishaps.
