4-0 out of 5 stars Nice basic mouse, once you get it on.
I have been using this mouse for over a year now and it runs pretty smoothly. Normally the mouse is within a feet of the sensor and sometimes I enjoy sitting back and using the mouse scroll about 2 feet away, scrolling down webpages.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good mice like Jerry !!!
It performs very well. Best value for your money.
3-0 out of 5 stars Could be better
This mouse is actually about 2/3 normal size, which makes it more portable than a normal mouse but fits my hand reasonably well. Once the battery is fitted in, the mouse is significantly heavier than a normal mouse which takes some taking used to but is not a problem for every day use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good but not great...
which is a disappointment. I had waited anxiously for this mouse as I had waited for the MX1000 Laser mouse that I absolutely loved but found a tad heavy.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best mouse you can buy
This mouse is incredible. This mouse is incredibly adjustable. You can change pointer speed, horizontal scroll speed, vertical scroll speed and acceleration.Being it a laser, it is fast and precise. The side scroll allows you to toggle between all of the applications you have open in a blink, a must for multi taskers. My favorite part of this mouse is the scroll wheel. This just blew me away. This is a "smart" mouse in every sense of the word. You can change to what they call free scrolling with just a click. And that means no clicking in the scrolling.Scroll to the bottom of a ridiculously long document in a few seconds, no joke. The one thing that has always got my goat on mice is the scrolling. Most of them do no scroll smoothly.Half of them end up getting caught somehow while you're scrolling and the page jumps either up or down.Either way, when you're scrolling slowly with other mice, there's no such thing as keeping a rhythm in scrolling. With this mouse, one click on the scroll is one click on the page, period.Maybe this doesn't bother many people, but that drove me up the wall.Sometimes you would scroll a couple times and the page wouldn't even move. This is all related to how the scroll wheel is built. The scroll on this is built very solidly as you know on this one. Finally, the countoured design of this mouse fits perfectly in your hand. The foward and back buttons on the side make for browsing a breeze.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best mouse I've owned
This is hands down a fantastic mouse. It's an investment in ergonomics, which for some people may be overkill. However, if you rely on a precise, comfortable mouse for hours a day, then this is really a sound purchase. If you're looking for a decent basic mouse, then this pricetag is going to be a bit much for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great mouse choice
If you have a laptop with bluetooth, you need this mouse. It works flawlessly; just like a regular wireless mouse. The advantage of a bluetooth mouse over a regular wireless mouse is that one doesn't need to plug anything into the laptop. Not only does that save a USB port, but it's one less thing to carry (or to lose). The batteries last for months, and it comes with a nice little pouch.

2-0 out of 5 stars NEVER install Logitech's SETPOINT software.
I will keep it simple. :) I am using a dell notebook with WINXP and it has bluetooth s/w (Dell's supplied widcomm) already installed for my pda. The mouse got recognised and works right a way using Winxp's default driver. I kept the existing Widcomm bluetooth stack (or hub - as in logitech literature)without installing any logitech driver/sw from the included CD. Mouse can be turned it off at night, and turned back on in the morning, it has never been failed to reconnect. All is well until 1 day I want to assign the wheel button for keystroke assignment. So I d/l & installed "setpointxxx_v270"from logitech driver section. "setpointxxx_v270" is a bloated s/w contains 2 parts. 1st part is "setpoint" which customizes your mouse behaviour. 2nd part islogitech's own bluetooth stack & services & GUI which are supposed to install only when your pc doesnt contain any Bluetooth stack/hub. However after installing setpoinxxx_v270 & reboot & check update & reboot, bad things started to happen. V270 mouse will fail to reconnect after being turned off & on. It will also fail to reconnect when PC is resuming from standby. No matter what I do, the mouse refuses to reconnect. So I uninstall Setpointxxx_V270. Still it can be detected but failed to reconnect. I end up fixing it by manually remove all logitech residue craps & delete "Bluetooth Virtual HID mouse" under "Human Interface Devices" in "Device manager".(u have to "show hidden devices" to see it)Then reconnect the mouse again. Its clear that Logitech's setpointxxx_V270 will screw up the mouse BT driver. Now It works well without d Logitech's stupid s/w. In terms of hardware, I will rate 4 stars. Logitech loses 2 stars not providing a proper supporting s/w driver.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best tracking for bluetooth
I have used a lot of bluetooth mice, and this one has the best tracking of ony of them. Be aware that bluetooth has some limitations, though. Almost any high quality wired mouse will perform better, and many RF mice will too. If you are a tricking maniac, or a gamer, don't use bluetooth, period. If you want bluetooth, either because you don't want an extra dongle, you need all your USB ports, or you need the long wireless range (for controlling presentations in a big lecture hall), this is one of the best mice you can buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT Good Long Term
I have had my mouse for about 8 months and it is broken. The "L" shaped design for the thing you hook to the computer is the problem. I will call it a receiver. It you stow the receiver too many times into the mouse it starts to break. Over time the receiver doesn't receive.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great response, compact size
Overall, I really like this mouse. I hated having wires tangled at my desk, so I went ahead and purchased this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Comfy
This is absolutely the most comfortable mouse I have ever used.I have the Logitech MX518 on one puter, and MS wireless 6000 on the other. I love the Logitech 1000 more than the other two mice's.
5-0 out of 5 stars I really like this mouse.
This is the first mouse that I have acutally gone out and bought. All other mice that I have owned (since they came into inception ~20 yrs?) were the ones that came with the current system I owned.

5-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for...
There's an old saying, "you get what you pay for".This cannot be more true than when talking about this Logitech VX Revolution mouse.First, let me say that this is WAY overpriced. Paying $80 for a mouse is RIDICULOUS!
4-0 out of 5 stars Mice basics... Content!
After monitoring this mouse for quite some time, i finally decided to buy it when amazon decreased the price and offered a $10 discount on a future purchase. I had a Microsoft Wireless laser mouse 6000, which was alot bulkier, and inpractical for a laptop user (i use the macbook pro, with windows installed). But my main complaint involved the mouse's sensitivity. Yes, i have toyed around with the tracking and scrolling speed to no avail.
2-0 out of 5 stars For the price this is not good....
Having burned through three standard Microsoft Optical wireless 3000 mice I decided to shell out for something nice with a high res laser and other features... I have to say in almost every way the Microsoft optical mouse (which cost about 1/3 of this mouse) is superior. The feel in the hand, the connectivity, the response time, everything about that product out of the package was perfect. The best feel of any mouse I've touched. The biggest problem with the Microsoft 3000 notebook-optical-wireless is quality of the parts inside. I had two USB recivers just stop working within two months of purchase, so I decided it was time to look elsewhere and unfortunately that led me to this mouse.

5-0 out of 5 stars So much better than a mouse!
I have 2 cordless TrackMan Wheels & 2 corded versions. I can't stand to use a computer that is not eqiped with one. It makes so much more sense to to simply use my thumb to navigate rather than having to keep picking up the mouse and moving it to get to whereever it is you are trying to go and ran out of mousepad before you could get there. The TrackMan is very sensible and reliable. Why they don't quit making mice and make more of these is beyond me. The people who don't like trackballs have just never really used a trackball. They must be same people that have made American cars cushy and buy iPods.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great fit, awful to clean
It fits my hand well and is very responsive to small movements, however the trackball collects gunk and is extremely difficult to clean. You can't simply pop out the trackball and wipe down the contact points; you need a screwdriver and at least a half hour of patience to put the pieces back together.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fits the bill
There is everything positive about this product and nothing negative....

5-0 out of 5 stars Hands down the best mouse you can get for your laptop
This is a very high quality mouse and it's extremely portable.I've had this mouse for over two years without any problems. It's extremely accurate b/c of it's optical light, but it's main strong point is the fact that you can wrap the cord around the mouse for storage.Definitely one of the best investments I made for my Sony VAIO.

5-0 out of 5 stars Accurate, but a little small (it *is* a Notebook mouse)
The best feature in this mouse is the way the cord winds around the base- pure genius. It works as it should, but try getting a mouse pad- I know they call it an all terrain sensor- But it's not. When used with a pad or on a white smooth surface, it works like a dream.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Notebook Mouse
You have to consider that wire mouse is better in all category compare to wireless just name apart. Wireless is freedom but battery takes it back. This mouse is perfect if you have USB port on right side of your laptop (if you are righty or left side for lefty) so short wire isn't a problem. Just love it the way USB wire get wrap around and takes no space in laptop bag. Performance is not mean less compare to my home MX1000 laser mouse. You can't ask for more at low price ($13)..enjoy ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars One flaw, otherwise pretty nice mouse.
I just plugged this mouse in yesterday, so I don't have a long history with it, but my first impressions are these:
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Mouse as expected.
I bought this mouse to replace my previous Microsoft Wireless optical mouse. My old mouse lasted for about 5 years and was still working perfectly. It was just a bit worn down in appearance because I abuse it alot with gaming, etc. I wanted a mouse that was as good as my previous mouse, so I purchased this one which is nearly identical. The only real difference I can see is that the new mouse has the tilt wheel function. It is handy but takes me a little getting used to. I still try to click it and drag pages horizontally.

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk!
There is a manufacturing defect in this product that prevents one from opening the battery compartment.Kensington seems to be aware of the problem, since their website offers an alternative to the directions given in the manual.Neither works. My advice: pass on this.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't bother.
Afer 3 months the transmitting unit died! Other cons: 1. it requires new batteries every 2 or 3 weeks, 2. not ergonomic, 3. the cover difficult to open to change the batteries. I guess you get what you paid for!

1-0 out of 5 stars don't buy this
It is a huge pain to replace the batteries-- the best way I have figured out is to use a butter knife and twist it between the button and the battery lid-- very frustrating any other way. Also, it doesn't connect to the USB very well- mine is very wobbly. I would not recommend this mouse. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Another GREAT Logitech product
I upgraded from a Logitech Marble (which still works perfectly after a year, I just wanted to go wireless). This is slightly bigger and has a larger ball. Your hand position is also a little different, which, to me, seemed very akward and uncomfortable at first. However, after about a day, this one became second nature and I couldn't imagine it being any different. I LOVE IT!
2-0 out of 5 stars Optical Trackman Fan

4-0 out of 5 stars Good buy, some button programming required.
I'm really enjoying this device. It has made many tasks easier. One thing I will note is that the right mouse button is difficult to use where it is positioned. The button layout is flawed in this regard. However, I was able to reprogram one of the other mouse buttons under the thumb to function acceptably in this role. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I really like it
This is a pretty good mouse, I can't really expound more than those below me but, It is almost the perfect size, maybe just a tad big but, nothing to cause problems. It, in my opinion, is defenitaly not too heavy, it is actually suprisingly light to me. I installed it and it didn't work, I un-installed it and re-installed it and it worked great so, I am thinking it was just user error. This is a really great mouse, my opinion, buy it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Sluggish scroll wheel and no 'click' feedback, but overall good
A decent mouse.I have used it at work for the past 2 years.I've had to change the batteries about once every 3-4 months which isn't too bad.
2-0 out of 5 stars Flakey and terrible range
I have to have my mouse within a FOOT of the reciever for it to work at all, despite Microsoft's claim that the range is three feet. Perhaps my mouse is defective, but then that speaks to the poor quality control of Microsoft products. These are designed by Microsoft but made in China, and I can honestly say both are obvious from using it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Nice
I bought this mouse about six months ago and I still think its the best mouse I've ever seen. The wireless works up to even 6ft away from the transmiter. It works better by putting the mouse and the transmiter in one level. The scroll is excellent (Right, left, top, and bottom.) I can't tell anything about the battary life because I'm using rechargable battaries. I think it would be still good to use regular battaries. The extra bottoms are usefull. You can change the functions. If you want to use them you have to install a software for it but if you don't its plug and play. I'm happy with my purchase.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor wheel design
I think they really botched the design of this one.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Mouse, Good Value
I'm really impressed and pleasantly surprised with this mouse. It's responsive, comfortable to hold, and the batteries last for months.I love the no-click scroll wheel for office applications and Internet surfing (not so great for scrolling in games), and I really miss the side-to-side scrolling when I'm using a different computer. ... I've been using this mouse for over a year now and on a whole, I'm satisfied. The optical sensor is very effective and accurate on many surface types; the couch cushion is my favorite. My only real gripe is that the button click sensitivity is off.To comfortably operate the mouse, due to it's small foot print, you must use a high arch finger posistion. This places your fingers somewhat in the middle of the mouse buttons. You would think this is the intended location, but the sensitivity of the button is very low in this spot and requires too much force to comfortably use the mouse for a long period of time or when mentally tired. The proper sensitivity is located at the very forward tip of the buttons and really only can be comfortablyactuated by meaty part of your finger between the first and second knuckles. This tends to kill the accuracy of the click point. Moving your finger tips to this point doesn't help, because then the position of your fingers causes their weight to inadvertantly click when trying to rest them on the mouse button. The effort to hold your fingers up off of the buttons is fatiging over time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wireless Trackball
Superb product.I have used other Kensington mouses prior to this one and this one is the very BEST yet.I had to use a wireless mouse for a couple of months and my wrist bothered me so much that I had to put in a request for a new trackball.I love this mouse.

I bought this for my 7 year-old grandson who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy which severely limits the movements of his limbs. In fact, he can literally only use his left hand. The mouse works perfectly and provides him with the freedom to be creative on the computer.

I'm the type who like to tilt the chair a little backwards while I'm surfing the net. I put this trackball on my lap and am very comfortable.
