great product
I have now used my logitect quickcam for almost three years and I am just as pleased with it now as when I first bought it. It was the first webcam I purcased and without knowing much about computers I found it very easy to install the webcam and get started. I use it regulary (3-4 times a week) both the video conferencing (using netmeeting) and the picture captures using the quick cam pro software that comes with the webcam. I have had no problems with the video conferencing, the picture and speed is very great. I have checked the speed of the video conferencing by talking on a regular phone at the same time and found that the movements of the lips fits with the sound over the phone. I am also very pleased with the quality of the pictures and they are very easy to email. A great product that has helped me keeping my longdistance relationship last. retain your printer
You can either use an A-B switch on a single parallel port, or do as I do and install a second parallel port.A "Hi-IRQ" card is best, so you can use an IRQ of say 10 or 11; most cards only offer IRQs of 7(already used by the printer port) and 5 (usually used by a sound card).

VERY DISAPOINTED in logitech
I receantly purchased 2 quick Cams from Logitech because of the brand name and affortable price, I sent one Cam to New York for the Video Conferance feature I installed the softwear acording to the directions and the Camwouldn't work so I went onto the Logitech web sight for tech support, theinformation there was very confusing and hard to follow - but I tried itanyway.After failing again I then had to call a long distance phonenumbernot a 800 number like most tech support ) and the person helping mewasn't interested in helping me , wanted to regester me for the mailinglist. He then told me to reinstall the software and call him back if anyproblems. Well again I had to call but this time I got someone else, aftertring to get help for him the time was 5PM and the line just went dead.Ithen tried to call back but got a recording saying the office is closed - I will be returning both Cams now and make sure I or any of my friends buysanything from Logitech agan. ... You MUST have aol for this product!
I am an actual customer of the Micro Innovations 1c50C basic webcam. I found that although it is compatible with my windows 98 you must have aol in order to use the services. So for those persons who are having bad luck with their cam please think if that could be the reason why your cam is not working properly. I was only looking at the price cause that's what friends told me i should pay. No more than $20 bucks so I assumed cause it said windows 98 it would work. never looked to see if it worked with yahoo. I am returning mine if the store allows me to.

Where is the XP driver
No XP driver is included.Google for IC150C and you'll find "Where is the driver" as the top search.Its bad.Avoid this camera until you have an XP driver in your hands for it. Logitech ones just work out of the box for me. ... Read more

The Kodak DC120 produces very good images for a 1M pixel camera.Compressed image format (approx 300k/photo) does not seriously degrade the image and it speeds up downloading.Slow speed serial port is a bummer; use a card reader.CF media is very common and inexpensive.It eats battery fairly quickly, especially when stored.Be prepared to load fresh batteries every time you take it off the shelf.3x optical zoom is great.12 inch macro focus is adaquate, and it can take some add on lenses to get closer.It can also take adapters to convert it to a microscope digital camera c-mount.Physically large but easy to hold and use.Approx 2 sec shutter lag and 6 sec recycle time. ... Lie about 1 Mega Pixel photos
the Camcorder Box and Spec says it is good for 1 MegaPixel photos.It is a lie.The image quality is like magnifying a 640 x 480 to 1 Megapixel.The result is coarse pixelation of the photo... I called the Sony customer support and they told me, "if it looks good on the view finder, then Sony's job is done."What [a lie].Sony, wake up and don't tell lies!

nice but expensive
The Sony digital camcorder records excellant video images and sound, but most TV set fail to reproduce the image quality and conventional VHS recorders lose the video quality when copying.The still image quality is poor compared to stand alone 1 mega pixel cameras and cannot be used at the same time you are video taping. It's simply great.
I've been looking at DV cameras for a while now, and finally settled on the DCR-PC100. I couldn't be happier about my decision. I've made some great movies with it, but I think the best example of the flexibility of this camera came when I went to a wedding last week. Every control on the camera is placed in such a manner that one handed operation of the camera is a snap, and I was able to get the ceremony on video, while easily switching over to capture some stills as well. I had a 64MB memory stick, so I had about 120 hi-res pictures by the end of the reception.It was a snap to dump all of the pictures to a CD and send them to the wedding party to print at their leisure(they were thrilled to have some wedding pictures that they could share with folks that quickly after the wedding). I've used the camera in a wide range of lighting conditions, from super bright sunny days to inside the Monterey Bay Aquarium to a lightning storm in Colorado, and all of the footage turns out great. The video images are super crisp and the colors are nothing short of fantastic.I can't recommend the camera highly enough, and most people who check mine out while I'm using it want one of their own. ... Handy pocket cam.
I bought mine because I can keep it in a tiny side pocket of my purse, and it is virtually weightless.I have dropped it (lots), SAT on it, forgot and left it in the hot car, and had it banging around in the bottom of a pack.It always survives and takes beautiful scenic pics.Not much on action (no surprise), but when you wish you had something for that great sunset, there it is.Lower your expectations a little, and it's a nice little cam for the money.And never a dead battery!

Cute, but not Competent
First of all, any mention of 1.3 megapixel on the box is effective lying. Sure, the camera can produce 1.3 mp images, but only by internally transforming 640x480 to 1280x960. lemme repeat this, this camera only takes 640x480 (350kpixel) pictures. I was not satisfied with the quality of the upsampled pictures. Also forget about using this indoors. The slow shutter speed and lack of a flash will make every picture a dark, blurry mess. On the good side, the Pocket Digital is truly slim and light, andeasily rides in any pocket. The aluminum case protects the lens and electronics well. After deciding I didn't want to deal with the poor performance of this camera, I returned it and bought a Pocket digital 130.

hmm... I wonder if the factory settings are off.
I was pleasantly surprised with quality of this camera. Picture quality is awesome. also display perfect skin tone. I've used quickcam, quickcamVC, logitechs,and Veo in the past. this one is the best one so far.I clicked on camera default button and picture turned all red and dark. but I went to advanced setting; set "AWB Speed" to "medium" and "Light Source" to "Overall". It's now back to normal. (give it 10 seconds to auto balance to work if you are using it with yahoo messenger) Magically Hopeless
- Very poor Image quality ..infact no image ..you need be very intutive to understand that it's your image. Do not even bother considering this camera.
I bought this camera primarily as an inexpensive security device for my apartment, and secondarily to take snapshots to send to various people. The camera is a complete disappointment.Read more

Excellent webcam
Coupled with Logitech's version 10 of its software, the QuickCam Pro 5000 is an excellent webcam. The angle of view is slightly wider than the earlier QuickCam Pro 4000. However, it is not so wide that you will need to use the digital zoom when you're doing a solo appearance. The image is crisp and sharp, though the newer Logitech UltraVision with its all-glass lens is far sharper - and almost twice as expensive.
Good camera overall
In just a few months I have purchased three of these cameras; the first camera was for ourselves, and then I purchased two more, one for one set of grandparents and another for the other grandma. The main use of this camera is with web conferencing (via Skype). It is a great camera with a little wider angle than most other webcams I have used, so you get to share more of what is happening on your end. The driver/software for the camera (I downloaded the latest version) is very complete and complements the camera nicely to provide echo-free communication as well as automatic color balancing and lighting.
The best webcam
I was pretty desperate for a good webcam and was willing to pay alittle extra for good quality stuff. I was so dissapointed that the intel webcams were no longer being manufactured(I still feel they were the best), so I had to hunt for another manufacturer. I tried the Pro4000 which I like but it was too pricey, so I returned that because I already knew by then that the pro5000 was coming out. I had to return the first pro5000 since it was defective(a thick horizontal black line across the image), but Amazon replaced it with a good one and I've never been happier. I have been using this webcam for 5 months now and I love it. The image quality is much superior than some of the other logitech and creative webcams that I have tried. The mic quality is too goo as well. I can walk all over the house and people can still here me as if it were a speakerfone. All in all a good buy. ... Read more

Really good webcam...
I find the image quality to be very good...yes this camera does heat up a bit but it works very very well, even in dim light.
Good camera for travel
I purchased this camera to use when traveling. I also have and use a Logitech QuickCam 5000 Pro (see my review for that camera), so I take this camera (the Notebook Pro) with me on trips.

Great Picture but Software & Robotics is Poor
I purchased this item to have a high end webcam. All my clients raved about the quality of the picture while using skype. However, when I used the face tracking features it did not work. Also, I think the software is not up to par considering the cost of this item. The software is not easily accessible, easy to use and has limited features. Neverthless, if the quality of the picture is your thing, it is one of the best on the market currently.
