1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible Tech Support; Bad Software
Upon installing the software, a "Runtime Error" occurred with XP that will not allow the QuickCam 10.0 software to run. When I called "Tech Support," I kept getting an out-sourced answering machine. Neither would they reply by email. I would Strongly urge anyone Against purchasing from Logitech until they get their act together.

3-0 out of 5 stars Another average webcam
I'm somewhat new to web cams, but so far I am not very impressed. My last web cam cost a whopping $10 new on ebay. I use a web cam for live conversations only so take my review as you will, but after trying a few web cams I think the technology isn't quite there just yet. So far I've tried the Logitech Communicate STX and the Microsoft $110 3 megapixel webcam (sorry, forgot the model). It's quickly apparant that no matter the quality of the camera the image quality is almost identical from the cheapest to the most expensive of cameras.
4-0 out of 5 stars Very good

While i hear all teh best about this camera my very first impression is that upon opening its its already missing Parts Mainly the stereo headset. if i cmpany cant get it correct at the plant than im not interested it.

4-0 out of 5 stars A bit of a disappointment...
In the interest of full disclosure, this is my first webcam.Given that, I was mildly disappointed that the framerate was not the 30fps advertised (smooth motion, like watching TV or a video camcorder), but closer to 20fps (my system is better than the "recommended" system on the box).Acceptable, but not spectacular, especially at the price.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good webcam...with severe support issues
The webcam works as advertised - with really crappy lighting, it still managed to show my face comfortably, and worked well with various messaging software. The bad - on my Windows XP machine, with not much software installed and generally well-maintained, the software failed to install the drivers properly. Twice. I called the tech support (paying long distance charges), and after 20 minutes of waiting, got through. It took twenty more minutes for the support rep to get all my information - 20, I kid you not. And after that, she did not even bother to try out anything on my computer. Her advice straightaway - try to install it in another machine, if it does not work, call us back so that we can authorize a replacement. How could you not even try do get it to work on my current machine after spending so much time to get all the information out of me, I asked? Sorry, that's the policy. And I have to call you back on long-distance, and then wait forever to the muzak and then hope that you might authorize a replacement, I asked. Yes, she replied curtly and hung up. I had wasted too much time to try to just give up right then, so I tried a manual install of the drivers. Luck decided to favor me, and after indicating XP to look for the drivers in C:\Program Files\Logitech\QuickCam10WebInstall, I was at last home. After the installation, it has worked like a charm, but you just have to pray that you never ever have to contact Logitech for their "support".

4-0 out of 5 stars Great price - quality balance
I did not want to spend too much money on my first webcam as technology improves continuously and my needs/interests change rapidly.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best I have owned
I have owned three other web cams. This is the best. It works first time, everytime.I call it "my little angel." I am ordering another for my daughter who lives 1000 miles away, So I can see her. Her webcam just doesn't hold a candle to this one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sweet Webcam
I've owned a few webcams and nothing compares to this one. Software installed without a hitch and camera was up and working in 15 minutes. Right light technology even works as stated. Takes such clear snapshots you wish you could take it with you as a digital camera. Very happy and Amazon shipped overnight.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice cam - software has issues
Like many folks out there, I just don't understand in this day and age, why can't multi-million dollar companies come out with a decent peoduct that actually works?I've used several other webcams, mostly all with the same results.Grainy picture, lousy lighting, slow response - the list goes on.Logitech started advertising this thing several months ago, and pushed back the release date for whatever reason.I really wanted to believe the hype and get a decent webcam.
5-0 out of 5 stars Superb visual and audio clarity from a webcam. Best on the market.
Logitech promises vastly improved image quality in this webcam because of its new lens, which is all glass. They aren't kdding. The image quality is superb, approaching that of Hi-8 videotape up to 960 x 720 video resolution and the interpolated 4 Megapixel still image size of 2304 x 1708 pixels.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good deal for the price!!
I did quite a bit of research about webcams...which one might be a good enough tradeoff between quality and price. I must say I made a pretty good decision. This ones worth its price tag (got it for $32); it wont give you awesome quality; but its quite decent. Hassle-free setup, no software problems (actually I never use the software...just start video chats in MSN/Yahoo) and got decent enough quality without any real adjustments. The built-in mic is very satisfactory too. All in all, if you are looking for a medium-range priced webcam (and you dont have a mic either) which wont show shoddy and crappy images, this ones for you!!

1-0 out of 5 stars pathetic low ligh performance
Got this one for the sleek looks and thought it would be great product.. unfortunately i'm shattered with its performance. the images are too grainy, dark and you will look like a ghost unless you are in daylight...or maybe in floodlights.
4-0 out of 5 stars So so webcam
Ok, the deal with this webcam is not the picture, the image is great and has a fast response. The thing is that the software that comes with needs some work, every time you want to use it you have to unplug it, connect it, wait for it to setup, THEN, if you are lucky, you are good to go, but sometimes you have to repeat the process a couple of times. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Software issues
Dont microsoft ever send their software thru Quality Assurance checking? They asked me to install a windows update (KB something or the other) saying that it prevented the software from running at 100% CPU usage. Lo and behold, it still gets stuck!! Task Manager dutifully reports that it is after all consuming all resources.

1-0 out of 5 stars Crappy software, crappy support
I thought I'd take a chance on this cam since- as one other reviewer stated- it SHOULD be compatible with Window XP. I'm running Win XP media center edition on a BRAND NEW Gateway 825 GM. 3400+ cpu, 1GB main memory. Essentially no other software installed and no other peripherals installed. Shouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong!
2-0 out of 5 stars Great webcam, but...
The image is great, the extra bells-and-whistles are cool, the microphone is very sensitive and the noise-cancelling feature really works.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Quality
I just upgraded my webcam (logitech 5 yrs old) to this, the difference is day and night, quality is very good; Even during the night time the quality is much better than my day time logitech (5 yrs old) webcam. I am a very satistified customers, would recommend to anyone....

    4-0 out of 5 stars It's a webcam!
I think this little guy is great for what he is supposed to be: a webcam!Doesn't take fabulous pictures, doesn't have the most stunning resolution, and the sound via the microphone attachment is less than adequate. However, it does provide a decent realtime image for online chatting or web video conferencing.

4-0 out of 5 stars I'm not returning this.
At first when I received this webcam I was a little disappointed. It seemed a bit blurry and I wasn't sure why. After adjusting the lens a little bit I could finally see everything clearly.
4-0 out of 5 stars This is quite nice
The quality is good and conveniently fits laptops of various thichness screen sizes

5-0 out of 5 stars It all depends on your computer and the parameters chosen
For those who blamed it for blurred or jumpy motion - make sure you have a high-end computer and a USB 2 port for this webcam. I used it on my T60 and it worked great: true 30fps, as clear as what you see in movies. The color quality has room for improvement, but for this price, I will not ask more. For lighting issues, fine tune all the parameters and usually after a few minutes of trying you can get good results under both incandescent or fluorescent lights. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars images heavily out of focus despite adjustment - returning
Just got this camera in the mail as a birthday present. Installing the software was easy, but unfortunately the camera is essentially broken. It is only (somewhat) in-focus for items about 1 inch away. Adjusting the focus ring doesn't help, so this camera's build seems to be defective. My brother bought the same camera and it doesn't seem to have the same problem. Anyway, returning mine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Cam, and its not expensive!
I saw the other reviews and was hoping I would have the same experience as the happy reviewers. Well, I got the cam and it was easy to install like they say. It just takes a little tinkering, with the PC options before you use it. With the mic and software it comes with, you get a lot for your money! If I bought a cam in the store, I would have been mad to lose out on this PC camera. It is SWEET!

5-0 out of 5 stars Does NOT work with MAC at all.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good CAM
Overall I like the device. The sound quality is not as good as a headset, but it's clear enough for what I'm using it for (Skype). The mount is really geared to flat panels or laptops, I had to tape in down to my monitor. Other than that it's a good CAM, works well enough.

4-0 out of 5 stars Super easy setup
I bought this webcam after first trying an older one (a different brand) I had laying around the house. The older one was difficult to install & get working properly, & required a registry edit to get the IM program to see it, & also the use of a separate microphone.I went to a local retailer (sorry Amazon, but you don't sell this one yet) to see what options were out there, & figured I'd give this one a try.Cost was a little under $60 before tax. There were others that appear to have the same or very similar specs & cost a little less, but I chose this one because I've been happy with every Logitech product I've used in the past.Setup was quick, easy, & completely painless.Installation was done in about 5 minutes & it worked flawlessly right away.I'm now going back out to buy another one to send to my son, who's out of the country.I can hardly wait until he gets it so we can talk to each other face to face. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Nice camera for the price.Works great on a Mac
I compared the feature sets of a number of cameras and only the Panasonic had the wireless + pan/tilt for under $300.Video quality is good with decent lighting, but expect to see "Christmas light" pixels in poor lighting. As some of the other reviewers have said, don't be fooled by the documentation that states "Windows Required".It will work fine on your Mac OS X.Here are step-by-step instructions for setting it up using a Mac (don't worry, the steps go by quickly!):
4-0 out of 5 stars Happy until I changed routers
The camera is as advertised; the wireless and web-functionality is great; and it's compatible with WEP & MAC filtering security (802.11g).That was fine until I changed routers, and I now use WPA security ... which this camera cannot handle. So, until there is a firmware upgrade, or I decide to run wires (not likely), it's just on a shelf.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good but not secured
This BL-C30 is very easy to set up because it has the auto-configuration.The Dynamic DNS service is very handy too. While my wife and I were away from home for a month last time, I used it to monitor my home once in a while. However, there are 2 things you may need to consider:

4-0 out of 5 stars good camera..... serves it's purpose
Works fine....pictures are a bit grainy. Better if there is light behind the camera. I can hear and see the person I am talking to and so can they.
3-0 out of 5 stars If it worked, it would be great....
I thought that the camera (while working) is really good. I was very impressed with the images and the way that it sat nicely on the top of my laptop. There's no need for a headset when talking to friends and family, as you can play their voice over the computer speakers and the built in microphone picks up your own voice effortlessly.
1-0 out of 5 stars Can I give it zero stars?
There is something nasty about the driver for this camera. On 2 different machines, the driver for this camera creates faults at shutdown--something about not releasing control and being forced to quit by Windows XP.Install at your own peril.NOT recommended. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars awesome resolution
i have a notebook webcam from creative. i love it because it's so small that it fits on top of the screen and the resolution is very good. but this new product is better in terms of resolution. awesome quality with respect to a webcam. it has got the advantage that it can be used both with desktop and laptop (mine only fits with a laptop). if you have both types of computer, buy this one. creative deserves credit. i paid amazon $25.54 (which included S&H).

I bought this camera to monitor my dog's actions when I'm at work.I don't need the picture quality to be great, as long as I can see what she's doing, so that was not important to me.The best part about this webcam is the software that came with it.It has various modes... the one I was most interested in was the motion detection mode that will send an email to alert you and also broadcast a video over Yahoo Messenger.Only problem with that is I can't use Yahoo Messenger at work, so I set it up instead for the remote monitoring mode which sends still pictures to an FTP site every 10 seconds (or whatever time interval you set it for). For some reason, this triggers some Trojan horse alert in Norton Anitvirus, and when this happens, it stops updating the web image.I haven't figured out what to do about that yet or why it's happening. But it seems to right itself after a couple seconds or a minute.
5-0 out of 5 stars Value for money
Its a nice cam, you probably wont expect anything more than this for this much money. The quality sometimes depends on the internet speed. Didn't try the photo feature.

3-0 out of 5 stars It works with Mac OS 10.4.6
It works with OS10.4.6 without buying anything else, although you need install an attached driver in your computer. To the best of my knowledge, this is the most reasonable webcam for Mac users. The design of the webcam and the image quality are not that great, but I find it satisfactory to show your family/friends how well you look.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Option for OS X 10.4
You only have two choices if you're running OS X 10.4.You can get the Isight for $150.00 or you can get the Macally Icecam for about $30.00.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great for the price!
I use this with Yahoo Messenger and my Powerbook. The video quality is far from perfect, and its a little annoying that you have to buy extra software to use the camera with iChat, but I don't really need to do professional video conferencing or anything like that, so it gets the job done for me.

2-0 out of 5 stars In a word: disappointing
The camera itself it not that bad. The design is ok. It's about like most typical Linksys products: ok documentation (but not great), so-so user interface but generally gets the job done. Initial setup is only mildly frustrating (the camera could not initially communicate with my Linksys router, which you'd think they might test back at the lab...) The fatal flaw with this camera is the SoloLink DDNS service. If you're not familiar with DDNS, it basically allows you to hook up the camera to your router and then assigns a domain name so that you can view the camera from any location by typing in an easy-to-remember domain name in a browser. I bought this camera to watch my house while on vacation. The service worked for about five minutes on the first day of the trip and then never worked again. Perhaps they will fix the service (is it a bandwidth issue?) but as of 9/06, it's horrible and I would stay away. On top of all that, you have to pay for this service. The box doesn't mention this, except if you read the small print where it says something like "free trial of SoloLink DDNS". You cannot use any other DDNS service...
5-0 out of 5 stars HOW TO VIEW THE VIDEO UNDER MAC OS !!!
this is very easy, just write the camera's IP address, add /img/video.asf and thats all !! works great with VLC for Mac OS !!... example: if your camera is on192.168.1.101, then use whatever video program like quicktime, VLC, windows media...etc and open the following address: 192.168.1.101:1024/img/video.asf
1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible quality and lacks key features, but includes so many cool ones--darn!
Without being in a well lit place (like outside) this product is practically useless if not bearly tolerable. It would not work at all in my apartment. I could bearly see even see me and that was close up. I was not pleased with the Linksys interface to boot because it didn't seem easy enough for family and friends to connect to from their browser.

1-0 out of 5 stars poor camera.very poor software
The webcam is just like any other ordinary Logitech webcam.Nothing new or great about it.The description given by the manufacturer seems to claim that this is the best webcam in the world.Don't believe any word from the manufacturer. If you already have a webcam, don't re-invest in this.
2-0 out of 5 stars Very Expensive and it is not worth to buy!!
I am not satisfied with this Creative Webcam Live! Motion- Titanium. I bought this even of the higher cost because I thought it should be the best. However, the authomatic sensor is junk and the headphone is broken. The tracking device is not very good because each time I moved the captured picture would blur and freeze. The pant and tilt control is a pain. Although it works well with Yahoo messenger, as a buyer, you should consider spending time reading other reviews of a procuct that you are interested. Higher price does not mean good product.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Giant Leap Forward, A Few Steps Backward
The Creative WebCam Live! Motion takes some huge steps forward with it's wide angle lens, pan and tilt capability, remote capability, and image tracking capability.

3-0 out of 5 stars good
the web cam is very good but the head set is not good at all. there is no control over the sound and cant hear properly. that is only the draw back. i dont know about the pictures taken from it as i only use the web cam for chatting purpose.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good value
For a cheaper cam this does the job!I found the image quality was very good.Only complaint is when it is darker. There is a low light boost but unless you have on some background lighting, it is too dark.
