Boy scouts, get a real compass
I bought this thing for about $20 plus shipping from Homeland. It has a 12/24 digital display, which is easy to see, it tells yopu what day it is, and that part is easy to read. It has an alarm that has never failed to wake me up, and a light you can press to see what time it is at night. think againbefore you buy it
My wife bought this watch in Feb 2003. I liked it at the first sight. However, the alarm kept ringing till the battery was running out. And then I opened te case and changed it. The inside looked pretty bad. Moreover, the alarm doesn't work anymore and the casin g is easy to peel off . The last thing I want to mention is that the warranty is only 90 days. (I guess there will be something wrong in you watch after that time). This compass watch is lost!
I scanned a host of web sites looking for an economical compass watch.This watch looked great on the web site and I liked the options so I ordered.Well, Oregon Scientific sent the wrong one.We started over.As another reviewer noted, the chrome effect wore off fairly quickly.I was frustrated because the LED was nearly impossible to read without turning my wrist for a 'straight-on' reading.To my chagrin, while changing the watch band the LED went flat and disappeared altogether.So much for a watch that lasted less than a year.Get a real compass and find another watch. ... Inexpensive sports watch
Exactly what I was looking for.Three buttons instead of four to control the functions.Alarm and lap timer are easy to get to, and the time/date are a snap to set.I swim every day and use the lap timer, not a hint of a leak.I paid $9.95 plus $5.00 S&H and still got it $10 cheaper than either Walmart or Target.

The Perfect Case for All Purposes
The perfect little black nylon case for my Olympus C765.It's not too big or too small. It's only slightly larger than the camera itself.It easily holds the camera and strap. It has about a 1/2 inch thick insulated sides to kind of cushion the camera.The strap on the case is just the right length to hang over your shoulder, or it has a belt loop on the back side.You can slide the memory card holder down inside the case with the camera, and you can put extra camera batteries in a small zippered pouch on top.The only thing that won't fit in the case is the battery charger if you have one. It also has an easily opened velcro closing top.

Good watch with lots of options, but bad documentation.
I bought my Timex Ironman datalink watch on Amazon, had a great experience with the purchase. The watch arrived on time and in pristine condition.
Off to a great start!
I purchased this watch from Pro Sport Watches via Amazon to replace a Watchminder2 that didn't work out (see review for details).I ordered the watch on 9/12 with ground shipping.It was sent out on 9/13 and was delivered 9/15.One point for speedy delivery!
What a pain
My wife bought me this watch when my previous Timex with a compass broke (cheap plastic...). At first I was excited about the features. I'm a technology savvy guy and having my watch hooked up to my computer with a USB cable seemed to be very cool. When I opened included software I got a bit concerned. Timex app is very simplistic and it seems to be the only way to add contacts, notes etc. Maintaining another schedule and contact database just for a watch in addition to the one I use seems to be too much (For instance, my cell phone syncs with Lotus Notes calendar without any problems).

why spend $400 for an iPod? if you have the right model Palm purchase expansion cards, get the appropriate software, and load all the music you want!!! if i would have had more cash at the time, i would have gotten a greater capacity. the sky is the limit!

Great for beginning runners
The single-button controlled countdown function with alarm is the reason that I purchased this watch.I believe this feature is unique.This allows you to time an interval by pressing a button, without having to look at the watch.If you press the button once it counts down from 1 minute, if you press it twice from 3 mins, three times from 5 mins and so on up to 30 mins.These times are preset. This is great for beginning runners who may time intervals of walking and running.

Great watch
This watch is great because the countdown is so easy to use.Whenever I need to remember to check the dryer or the stove, all I have to do is push one button to the number of minutes I want to wait.Its the only watch I wear and I never take it off.I even swim with it on.The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it is so plain.I wish Casio would make it in a pretty color.

you'll be bumping into walls.
this is seriously one of the coolest gadgets ever! the image is really crisp, I live in LA and I could get almost all the local channels (depending on the location I'm in) Some channels are look better than others. The earphones work as an antenna which means I need to take care of them. There is no car charger which sucks for a portable device not to have. And the tv lasts only for an hour and a half, and with commercials it won't last through a movie.
Very Cool Gadget
Just got this yesterday and it really is cool. Reception here where i'm vacationing isn't the greatest as the nearest station is 20 miles away but can get a 'decent' picture noneoftheless. The pixels are very small so the scrolling words on the bottom on the news stations are very clear and you could even read them most of the time and if they were too small you could get a magnifying glass and probably read them.

The MSN Direct service is still "a work in progress".
The Abacus smart watches are definitely sleek, stylish and durable. However, as I learned, smart watches are only as good as their service provider. And MSN Direct still hasn't worked out all the bugs. The minor problems include lack of local movie showtimes and lack a local events calendar (as you might imagine, this will vary by location). But it is still a PAY subscription service, so it is NOT OKAY that this information is not available as advertised. The one major problem (that was the deal-breaker) is that the MSN Direct message service does not work with the current version of Windows Live Messenger. Tech support will ask you to download and install the older MSN Messenger 7.5 and anyone who wants to send you an MSN Direct message will also need to install the older version. Also FYI, you can't install both versions of Messenger on the same computer. Tech support admits that they still have to work out some problems with Windows Live. My question, "why don't they work out the problems first, then market it?" In my opinion, MSN Direct is still 12 to 18 months from providing an acceptable quality of service. ... Read more

silent and small
This winder is truely portable.Unfortunately, it does not have an AC adaptor.That is the only reason I do not give it a 5 star rating.It is very quiet, I do not even know when it is running.It is not really small but it is small enouph to pack with you on a trip.Alittle pricey but worth it.

Good value so far...
I had just recieved an Omega Sea Master Automatic Chronograph as a gift, now I needed a winder!(I already own an Omega Deville, but it is a quartz, wife has an Auto also.My wife picked this up for me on sale, and so far, so good.It can be set to go every hour for 4 seperate chosen times, I find the 6 minute setting to be fine for my watch.Everything works as it should--my watch is pretty heavy, yet one can barely hear the device when it starts up every hour.I've had it since Feb 05, no problems--I just don't know how long it will run (it takes 4 C batteries, too bad it does not have an A/C adapter).Anyway, I have seen some less expensive winders, but according to some, they are junk---and most other winders start at $150 (single) and go up and up in price.Once again, it's a good value so far. ... Simple is Better
I have always needed a sports watch that can withstand the rigors of the beach, jogging, basketball and just plain sweat.
