Unrealiable; Don't trust with important files.
I had this drive for a few months and one day it decides to stop working.Windows recoginizes it, but when I try to open it, Windows tells me to insert a disk in the drive.It appears the flash drive is dead with tons of imformation on it.Luckily I had the insight to back up the most important file earlier today, so all is not lost, but I don't even remember the other files I had on there.I have an earlier backup and hopefully I can recover most of my files.
Washable
This is a nice flash drive. It comes with security software already on it. The best part is that I accidently left it in my pocket and it went through Washer and Dryer. It survived and it still functions.

Very slim and useful for a cool user
I've had this drive over a year and have used it continuously to store notes and documents both at school and at work.This device is slender enough to fit in a laptop USB slot and allow the slot beneath it to be available for another device (Mouse, Thumb drive, etc).Also, I've accidentally sent this baby through the washer a couple of times.I don't think it's been in the dryer (yet), but the fact that it's been in water twice and still works makes me glad that I purchased the device I did. By the way, I use my drive to transfer files from every computer I work on, which includes my Mac Mini, my Dell at work, my Macbook Pro at school, and my Linux box serving my web site.
Great piece at a great price
When I was shopping for a flash drive, I saw that someone complained about the slow speed of this drive. It almost scared me away from buying it, but now I'm glad I don't believe everything I hear. This is the fastest media I've ever used, and if someone has one that doesn't run fast, the problem is with their own system or files. A hundred megs in the blink of an eye is plenty fast enough for me. I'm a hands down believer in the SanDisk Cruzer Mini 2GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive. Stop looking, cause you just found the best buy.

Tough little bugger...
I use my Cruzer Mini constantly at work.It's great for quick data transfers, small utilities, drivers or patching systems that are off the network.It's slim and lightweight enough that I tend to drop it in my shirt pocket and forget about it.You probably see where this is going...but yes, it's been run through the washing machine at least four times.What may be even more impressive is that it's been run through the dryer three times (once I did catch it after being washed and saved it from the dryer, allowing it to air dry instead).It still works as well as the day I took it out of the package, never missing a beat. ... Great product!
I've been using this product for about a month, and I haven't had any problems with it. It is truly plug 'n play--it has installed itself flawlessly on several laptops and desktops (all running Windows XP SP2) with no work at all. It works pretty fast, too--transferring 700MB to it takes a little under a minute.
problems connecting with computer
I too saw that my kingston had problems connecting to my pc and mac. It's pretty much 50/50, on whether the computer will detect it or not. I have to then take it out and plug it back in and then usually it will work. Recently, it died on me, and because It was only about a year old, I figured I probably had a bad item. Whether or not it was shotty workmanship or I just got unlucky, I don't know.

Cruzer Mini 256 MB Flash Drive
It's little. It holds a bunch of data. It's so easy to use even my copilot can understand it. It's the perfect way to transport lots of data in a really small package. Throw those floppy disks away forever! If North Korea could make missiles the way SanDisk makes flash drives, we'd all be in deep kimchee.

Pretty Good Overall
This is overall a pretty good flash drive.It is affordable and has one gigabyte of memory.That is probably enough for someone who doesn't want to keep every little thing they've ever saved on it.It takes a little bit for it to transfer the data, but no biggie unless your really short on time.Comes with a cap to put on the top (some flash drives don't).It also comes with a string to tie around your neck.Overall an economic choice for a person who needs to carry around data without carrying a bulky diskette.

PNY Attache
I bought a PNY Attache flash drive about 3 months ago.I was happy with it until it failed.I have tried it on several computers, and the light does not come on and it does not activate.

small and compact
I really do think this is a great product that they have made.
Love it!
I love this little thing and now that I've had one, I couldn't live without one. I back up files from my laptop, copy stuff off my computer at work at take home to work on. I even share music files with it. In my work, I use a lot of audio files that are just too large to fit onto a CD and therefore are difficult to transfer between computers. (They're like 20 to 35 MB). So this works great for that.

unexpected performance
carry with me everywhere...thought i lost it then found it in a pair ofshorts that was put through the wash and dry. plugged it in after a short prayer- pulses with that blue light with no loss of data.

Great with great customer service
This is the second SanDisk USB flash drive I've owned. I never had a problem with the first one; I just needed more space. I love that this one does not have a cap (that thing never stays on the old one) and the blue light is nice to let you know that the unit is functioning.

it really is mac compatible
I just got this a week ago, and it's been great. Using this drive on my macbok, it tells me how much space is left. Also, the eject arrow shows up so it's simple to disconnect. My geek squad drive doesn't do that. The size is great too. I used it to transfer a dozen large tiffs, and had room to spare.

Died after three weeks
This 4GB Cruzer Mini Drive just died on me after less than a month. I won't even bother with customer service because of their bad reputation, I'll switch brands.
Reliable product with lots of storage space

I Own 5
I own five of these.The first one I bought at least a year and a half ago, maybe two.Not a problem with any of them, ever.They're fast and at a good price point.If you do any kind of action photography where your camera's buffer comes into play it's worth the extra money to buy a card that will read and write faster.

This card worked flawlessly - with great capture speed.I recently went on vacation and took in excess of 400 fine Jpeg shots.No need to bring a computer to download to.

I bought this in April for my new Canon 30D and it worked great until several months ago. When I would go back to scroll through the recently taken pictures on my camera it would start saying "Data Corrupted".It started out slowly then it would lose every third picture.I tried to reformat the card and got an error message.Now my camera does not recognize it nor does the camera software on my computer.It was a wonderful card while it lasted but I too am hesitate to get another one.Hopefully mine was a lemon too.....but then again. ... Great Device with Free Security Program
I purchased this based onprice and the included PortableVault security program (included on the drive).It has performed flawlessly for a couple of months now.I carry around sensitive data on this drive - so I needed a program to secure it.The PortableVault program tht is included is not only already installed on the drive, but it is extremely easy to use (just drag and drop files, entire directories, etc).Select your file or directory on the graphic display, and simply click "Unprotect" to access and "Protect" to re-encode it.

weak body
The USB serves its purpose, but it's body is real weak. When pulled, the plastic wrapper comes out easily. Also, the cap comes off easily when hangs around your neck. I don't recommand you carry this device around your neck. Weak body, other than that, just an usb drive.

Good for the price
I bought this 512 MB drive for $6 after the $15 rebate.So I cannot knock it too much. The only glich I've seen is that both gray ends can be pulled off.One is the cover, so that is fine; however, the first time I pulled the drive out of the PC's usb port, all I got in my hand was the gray outer cover.The drive (green part) stayed attached.You just have to grasp it tighter to get the drive out.

Not your father's floppy drive
Remember floppies (like the ones from 16 Candles?), yeah, even the harder ones that you still see today gathering dust in your best friend's home office?They were easy weren't they?You pop it in, you drag and drop some files onto it, or save to it, you yank it out of the PC, and away you go.Well that ain't what flash drives are like.Flash drives seem easy, but are really more complicated than your mother-in-laws feelings.
Best Thumb Drive I've Ever Had, Literally.
I've been buying thumb drives for quite a while what with the increasing capacity, upgrades, styles, features, etc.This is the first one I actually care about keeping.I got the 2GB version which, finally, seems to provide space for everything I want but not everyone has a use for that much space so 1GB may be just fine.The fact that it is capless is worth its weight in gold, or in this case titanium.I always lost the caps within the first week.They are riduculous to keep track of because they're so tiny and quickly get loose and come off on their own when you're not watching.
Unfriendly to me
My current flash drive is only 256 Mb and I decided to get one with more capacity so I bought the SanDisk SDCZ3 1GB. With my current flash drive I simply plug it into the the USB port and drag and drop files. It acts like another drive. I thought this new one would be the same. It isn't. After fooling around with the new Sandisk 1GB drive for about 15 minutes I could not transfer a single file. I even spent time on their user guide which was no help. First flash drive and I'm loving it
Like the title say's this is my first flash drive and it's very easy to use.Now I'm only using it for Codebreaker but who knows I might use it for something else since it's so easy to use.I did have a problem dl'ing the hardware but I fixed the problem and now WinME is recognizing it just fine.
Great portability
I've used this Jumpdrive Sport for two years now, and it has worked flawlessly.As a computer instructor, I carry data to and from classes and continually use this drive to reinstall or add items to student PC's.The cap is secure, dirt proof, has withstood sprinkler-wet pockets, and the grind of being attached to my keychain all this time.Yesterday, the attachment loop finally wore through, but Lexar's site itself offered a batch of 5 new caps for about four bucks.These should get me through another several years...

I'm not at all impressed with the product, ease of installation, performance or tech support.Granted, I have Win98 but I still can't recommend the product.It took two hrs to install it using a chat link with tech support.Instructions on web address given on product are worthless.English was so poor on tech support instructions I had to study them closely to figure out what they meant.Now that it is installed, when I try to open it about every other time I get the message no such drive exists.Today I was told it needed to be formatted.When this happens I have to reboot.If I tried to reformat it said I'd lose all data.It is a nuisance and when i do get new computer I'll get new flash drive, too.Don't recommend it!!!!! ... Caution!
The drive is speedy - no doubt about it. It had good features such as ability to create a secure and unsecure partition.

Its FAST, and 100% reliable.In the sixish months that I've owned it I've had zero-problems with it.The lexar functions as a boot device in modern bios motherboards.I've imaged it with a boot CD and experienced considerably FASTER load times than booting the CD itself (obviously).Transfering TV avi episodes is super fast.I bought my first from Dell for 6 less than the first three digit number, and I bought one from amazon.
Broke after two weeks

I had to practice using the flash drive as a desk top PC backup. I found that I was unsure how to save the important stuff. The drive worked well and after I "practiced" a while I found what to save.

Pretty much good for archiving only...
Saw this for sale recently and picked it up despite already having a couple 1GB SanDisk micros as well as a 2GB one. I pretty much just got it since it was TINY. I figured it'd be slower than my others.
Awesome flash drive
This is tiny, extremely tiny. It makes every other drive on the US market look bloated in comparison, and it's (at least now) the smallest available 2 GB drive on the market. Look at your USB port. It's half that thickness. I keep mine in my wallet, and it's just about the thickness of two credit cards.
