4-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
We got this TV about a month or so ago and love it. It really shines displaying HD. Nature shows on HD Discovery are unbelievable with out-of-the-box color calibration seeming very good to my eye. I can still picture the vivid snake scales and close ups of Mantises (Mantisi?) days after watching them on this set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great TV so far
Briefly speaking, it's the great TV. I did quite a lot of research before the purchase, and considered several other brands including Samsung, Sony, Philips, and Westinghouse, various sizes from 40 to 46 inches, and various resolution types including 1080p. My goal was to get reasonably priced high quality LCD TV from a reputable manufacturer, and I after about 3 weeks of using the set, I am happy with my choice.

We have had this TV for about 2 weeks now and are really enjoying it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great TV, expecially for the price
This TV is the successor to the 26HF84 and the most obvious change is the black bezel. I'm still waiting for a remote that works with my Comcast HD tuner. Without this I ended up juggling remotes: one for changing channels and another for changing video inputs between TV, DVD, and video camera. In the end I got a Kameleon universal remote which simplified things.
4-0 out of 5 stars Real Quality Can Come Cheap!
I purchased this HDTV after 6 months of debating on which one I should get and I'm extremely pleased thus far.The Toshiba is very attractive, the controls are simple, and the speakers are very good...they provide crisp clean treble & bass.My Xbox 360 never looked so good!I was considering Samsung's TXR3079WH/TXS3082WH because I loved the SlimFit design, but when I saw them on display they both had this purple hue in each of its four corners that fades in and out...IT'S EXTREMELY ANNOYING!I thought that with the newer model TXS3082WH Samsung might have fixed that issue, but they didn't. That really scared me off and I chose Toshiba...HANDS DOWN.I asked the salesman why the Samsung TV's had this problem and he told me that it was something magnetized caused by the trains running underground.I then asked him why it wasn't affecting the Toshiba's?When I saw he didn't have a straight answer...I knew the Toshiba was for me.The picture quality and sharpness is better than the Samsung's too. Take heed to my warnings of the Sammy's or you will be crying later. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars TLT
I am very satisfied with the LF-X11 TV.Set up was easy for E-mail and Wed Brousing.TV reception is excellent.I have had virtually no loss of signal. It is used in the kitchen and out on a screened in porch.I did not purchase this to be used for on the go so I am unable to comment on how these features work.
5-0 out of 5 stars Cool TV
Received the Sony yesterday. Within 20 min I had it receiving TV and had it linked up to our wireless home network -- all without opening a manual which is pretty good for a sixty-year-old! Reception is fabulous, email set up was a snap and it's really a treat. Now Sony needs to make it splash proof so I can use it near my hot tub. What a cool product! I've already forgotten what the price was!

Never buy any products from OLEVIA!!.. unless you want to become like me writing reviews like this at the middle of the night.. guys the price alone is not worth it!!... and dont fall for the 1 yr at home warranty... not worth the head aches dealing with the service folks!!...believe me put in the extra 600$s and go for well known brands...
5-0 out of 5 stars High Quality Product Priced Perfect!
I have never owned a flat screen TV before, so this was my first venture into this technology.I chose the Olevia after comparing the features, quality and price to other well known brandname TVs.Olevia is going to be the brand for the future for these types of TVs because it is light (less than 90 pounds), very easy to set up, provides awesome picture and sound (but definitely hook up surround sound for the full experience) and has a great price just around $1,000.You can hang it on the wall or let it sit, both options look great in the living room. Its black color and shape is very slick and the design is futuristic.Awesome product!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome TV!
I've had this TV for a couple months now and it has performed flawlessly.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice TV
The picture display on this tv looks execellent. The sound is clear and big. The unit is a little bulky but not as big as 5 inch tv use to be about 2 years ago. The product features says the unit runs on 4 AA batteries. The unit I received runs on 4 D batteries. Also on some web sites shows the unit to have a am/fm radio which is not true. The battery life is very good I ran the the unit about 9 hours before changing the batteries. I really don't like the purple knobs but you get use to it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent little tv
I have owned and used the Casio SY30 for a few months now and have had no problems with reception, sound quality or picture quality. I think it's a great little television for the money. The only thing I would like to see changed is the tuner. It scans for best channels every time you turn it on, but that's not a major problem. I've seen some negative reviews and I wanted to add my positive opinion and experience with this excellent little tv.

1-0 out of 5 stars EDTV is NOT High Definition by any standard.`
If you think 480p (EDTV) is High Definition you are VERY mistaken.By "DEFINITION" the term "High Definition" (HDTV) refers to 1,080 scan lines of resolution.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Plasma! Watch out for the description!!!
We bought this TV a month before we moved in to a new house and it just sat in the box during that time. It was killing me. When we finally set it up I was let down by the description on AMAZON. It said that there a SD CARD reader and that there were S-VIDEO inputs(1) on the front of the unit. Neither one was there. If it would not have been a huge hassle boxing it up to return I would have. Aside from that it is the best picture I have ever had. The detail and the colors are amazing. Real easy to set up out of the box and Crutchfield has great support. Great looking unit up the mantle. Would recomend it to a friend but make sure you know what you are buying before dropping the plastic. If there is the slightest doubt go buy it at an electronics store you trust.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Set
I have had mine since January 2006.No problems at all.We had planned to buy an HD Plasma, but when I saw this one I was blown away. This set is EDTV, not HDTV.In the store this set was on the same channel as the HD's were on.The Signal was in HD (must point that out) and this EDTV dominated the room.I could not see spending more money on a smaller TV with a less impressive picture. For the hose heads out there, 480p IS considered HD.Can you recieve 480p on a standard def tv? No, you cannot.480p displays twice the detail as 480i (standard).

Editorial Review

The electronic equivalent of a Swiss army knife or Leatherman multipurpose tool, the GPX TVWB534SP packs as many goodies as it can into its stylish, durable housing. The device centers around a 5-inch black-and-white TV--with vertical hold, contrast, and brightness controls--that's great for catching ballgames at a tailgater or keeping kids entertained in the back seat. That's certainly not all, however. The unit also comes with an analog AM/FM radio for listening to music or news reports, an instant weather band receiver that picks up weather alerts and storm warnings, a flashlight and a lantern for lighting up a dreary campsite, and a thermometer that keeps you informed of the outdoor temperature. And is if that's not enough, it even includes an emergency siren and a compass--a couple of handy items should you get lost in the mountains or the countryside. Users who want to pare down their supplies while going on sundown hikes can remove the flashlight from the plastic housing, which makes the light source far more portable. The housing charges the flashlight independently, though the light does require two rechargeable ni-cad batteries (not included). As a lantern, meanwhile, the unit offers a two-way adjustable fluorescent beam that's ideal for reading, eating, or as a general background light.Read more

Features

  • Portable device with 5-inch black-and-white TV, AM/FM tuner, and instant weather band receiver
  • Ideal for tailgating, backyard use, camping, and home/vehicle emergencies
  • Extras include removable flashlight, dual lantern, siren, compass, and thermometer
  • Plugs into AC wall outlet or DC cigarette lighter, or runs portably on 9 C-size batteries
  • Includes molded carrying handle and removable shoulder strap; 90-day warranty

The dual purpose pedestal stand can also be used as an articulating wall mount when itÕs folded back. Additionally, the stand can be removed for wall-mounting via optional VESA compatible hardware. Designated as an EDTV, the LN-R1550 displays signals in 480-line progressive (480p) mode, and can also accept 480p signals from video sources such as progressive-scan DVD players. While an EDTV doesn't have enough pixels for a true high-definition resolution, the difference is surprisingly small.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not too SHARP...
I originally purchased the LN-R1550 because I liked the fact that it could perform the functions of a tv AND a monitor.Right out of the box, however, my first impression was that it looked too much like a monitor rather than a tv.It's hard to tell from the web pictures, but this "tv" is just a Samsung monitor with an awkward speaker panel attached to the back and sides - not the look I was going for when I purchased for the kitchen.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good value
I bought the unit for a guest room of our bed and breakfast inn, so the features I got for the relative cost was the driving factor. The picture is good and the remote control is relatively simple. I feel I got good value for my money, and I would buy one again for one of our guest rooms. If it were for myself, I probably would spend more for a higher-end model. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great little television
This tiny television works well, has amazingly clear picture, good sound, and picks up local stations better than my big TV.It does rip through batteries, so you'll wantto get two sets of rechargeable batteries and keep rotating them.My set has one pixel that is frequently white (when it should be in color), so I cannot give it give stars, but I would give it 4.5, if I could.

2-0 out of 5 stars Headache inducer!
This works just fine but the picture is so small that it gave me a headache after 45 minutes of viewing. Not for those susceptible to migraines. Also, it goes through batteries like a rabid raccoon goes through a dumpster. Mine lasted 2 hours. This may only be good for kids or sports nuts who can't be away from their tvs.
