4-0 out of 5 stars Value for money.
I bought this TV as a second TV for our house.First we had to use an aerial for a while because there was a delay on the cable and I have to say that I was impressed with the picture the TV gave and the sound quality.Since the cable was installed I would say that things have only improved.Having to plug your DVD player etc from the front is annoying which is why I took a star away. But I would say this is a great TV for the money with a good picture and sound. As they always say you get what you pay for and this is worth every cent.

3-0 out of 5 stars Gets the Job Done
Honestly....HONESTLY, it isn't the greatest. When playing video games, graphics are slightly blurry and it's hard to adjust color/contrast/etc. to look nice. But, it gets the job done.Got it for my younger siblings and they don't even care about the graphics as long as they can play the game on a screen bigger than 13".I would recommend if you're on a really tight budget and just want a tv to watch, regardless of quality of screen. But if you're picky...forget this one.
4-0 out of 5 stars Decent TV
After 13+ years with my old RCA Television, I decided to pick up this television, since it was at a great price I couldn't pass up.

Editorial Review

Mitsubishi amps up your home theater viewing experience with the 57-inch WD-57731 1080p digital light projection (DLP) television, which combines the TurboLight150 lamp system and the latest 1080p DLP chip to produce a big, bright and bold picture with unsurpassed detail. Because 1080p provides twice the resolution of the high definition 720p or 1080i displays found in most HDTVs today, you'll get more vivid pictures--no matter the scene or content. It delivers stunningly detailed images thanks to the high-speed Plush1080p video processor (with a 6-segment, 10,800 RPM color wheel), which up-converts 1080i signals to 1080p producing four times the resolution of traditional line doublers. The WD-57731 also features a cabinet with a simple, clean design with a compact footprint that will fit virtually any home theater furnishings without taking up a lot of space.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Great picture, poor design details
I love this TV's picture quality when it has a nice hi-def source.Simply awesome picture when viewing my local PBS station using my cable's non-HD signal.Amazing difference when viewing a stations SD source vs its HD source.Picture with an external antennae isn't bad.Sound is good.Price is really cheap compared to the competition.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Picture
I investigated TV's (Plasma vs LCD vs DLP),extensively before upgrading to HDTV. It paid off, because I couldn't be more happy. I'm still using a POS cable company, with the usual poor signal and no HD, but am getting an HD satillite next week. But even with the poor signal, the color is intense and the picture fantanstic. The "free shipping" though falls under the catagory of "You get what you pay for". It took a week to get it delivered, (two day lay over in Sacramento and a three day layover in Portland), and I had to hand truck the TV and the stand the 400 feet from the neighboring intersection.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cable Card
This TV has a great picture, sound looks, you name it.However there is one problem with the cable card.I have had the cable company replace the cable card twice because it will not hold high difinition stations after several hours of use.Afterwards, I contacted the company where I bought the TV and they decided to replace it.Will see how the cable card works in the new one. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars STUPENDOUS DEAL FOR $9.99
I bought six of these tv's solely to use for myself and to give to friends for blackouts/hurricane evacuation. All operate fine except that I couldn't get a picture on one set. I returned that one and the replacement works just fine.Due to my present location, I can't get reception on just battery or via the AC adapter.Maybe if I get some rabbit ears to supplement the present antenna???Works great with cable tho.My biggest complaint is that the knobs to control brightness, contrast and vertical are small and hard to turn, but that's what pliers are for!:)I only paid $9.99 for each TV.Hard to beat that price. One friend of mine got his TV from me already. He says his reception is great on just the adapter.Says it's a little tough to install the batteries in the battery compartment tho. He's checking it out right now to see if it charges his NICAD batteries. For my purposes this is a great deal, but I wouldn't buy it if you plan on using it as a "prime" household, daily use TV.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do you feel lucky?
If you do, go ahead and take a chance.I did and got burned.Tv didn't work right out of the box. Will return soon.

3-0 out of 5 stars good enough for the purpose . . .
I bought this TV because I needed a cheap monitor for recording videotape to CD, and it has RCA inputs (unlike the Coby that costs a buck or two less, if the product descriptions are to be believed). The picture quality is primitive, and the reception, from what little experimentation that I've done, appears to be miserable--but the unit does what I want it to do. I haven't used it much, though, so it remains to be seen whether the TV's reliability is as bad as many other users seem to have found. For $16, I don't expect much! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice tv
Overall a very nice tv.It did have a small dent on top of tv like most of the other reviews stated.Definitely a manufacturers packaging problem. One thing I was really disappointed about was there was no memory card slot like the description said. This is one of the reason I decided to purchase. It does have a USB port though in front of the tv which is why I decided to keep.Amazon had best price for this tv online, plus no tax and free shipping.

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS IS A GREAT TV/COMBO! EVERYTHING WORKS JUST RIGHT! NO COMPLAINTS!
I consider this the best purchase I've ever made in a TV! I was a little skeptical as to whether it would be a 'good one' at such a low price (had wondered if it might not be "as good as it sounds" since it was so inexpensive)! But after thinking it over, I decided that since it was a Toshiba just to "go for it," and I'm so glad I did!
1-0 out of 5 stars had to return
Product came with a bad picture tube.It had purple clouds on it.The TV may have been damaged in shipment. We decided to return it because Toshiba would not provide at home service and the unit weighed 86 pounds. The service center was also 15 miles away. Amazon paid for a UPS pick up and the TV was tracked as returned but we have yet to get a refund.Amazon was than out of stock of this item or stopped carrying it and could not provide a replacement.Other partners in their system had it a higher price with very high shipping prices so we bought a different brand from Wal-Mart. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars SMALL COLOR TV
Excellent for kitchen or guest room, good quality picture with remote control.

4-0 out of 5 stars Being nitpicky... my apologies
This is a great all around small tv for the price. My only complaint will not matter to most people, it is a cheap, small tv after all.
2-0 out of 5 stars Basic acceptable TV, but in my opinion, a possibly dangerous omission.
In my opinion:Well, I have no quarrel with the looks and operation of a 13" TV that costs about $75. It performs all the basics, and the sound and picture quality are adequate for a child's room, playroom, or workshop (where I use it).

Polaroid's PDV-1002A portable DVD player is small enough for travel and--with its 10.2-inch, widescreen TFT LCD--broad enough to render vivid, detailed, easily viewable images from DVDs and digital photos in hotels or bedrooms. Its screen offers uncommon positioning options with its rotational design: pivot the LCD left or right and, at 180 degrees you can even tilt it back upon itself for, effectively, "closed-lid" viewing.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Quick Delivery
The DVD player is great. It is easy to use and the picture quality and sound is great. Amazon delivered the product on time. I would reccommend this DVD to anyone.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great picture; poor sound
I have had this for over a year now. I haven't used the battery, and I don't "travel" with it. I use it in the house & for the backyard. The picture is great. There are times the lid does not catch properly. The biggest problem is the volume does not go high enough. Often I read the subtitles since I cannot get the volume any higher. I use it almost every day and it is pretty reliable. I have been pleased with the product except for the sound.

4-0 out of 5 stars Polaroid PDV-1002A Portable DVD Player
I bought this product to take with us on a family trip. Pro's: It is compact, and easily portable. The rotating screen can rotate all the way around and then fold flat against the DVD player, allowing it to be hung from/between car seats for easy viewing. Picture quality is great! Drawbacks: The battery did not last as long as the three hours it boasted, so my son was not able to watch his entire DVD on the plane ride. Also, it needs a protective case to avoid being dropped, scratched, or damaged in transit. Sound volume is not loud enough unless headphones are used. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great TV, great price!!
This is a great TV, I went on to buy a new tube TV but since it's going in an entertainment center there was no need for a plasma or LCD screen, so I opted to save the money and this TV turned out great! I got the 4:9 ratio due to space (width) but wish I had enough space for the 16:9, if width is not an issue for you, widescreen is the way to go with HD, the TV has it all, all kinds of inputs, but most importantly HDMI!! I had no problem with tickers as others had mentioned, for me this TV perfectly meets and exceed my expectations!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not too bad at all - This is a TV for my Kitchen wall !
Hey. In Brazil, everybody had a little and cheap TV set on their kitchens. Mainly are cheat CRT (5' Tubes), with a boxed body. So. This Coby TV is a PERFECT replacement for this kind of aplication. I bought one today, to put it on my Kitchen Wall and i will have a tiny and thin LCD Widescreen TV set on my kitchens wall, to watch Cable TV channels while Breakfasting. :) So. This is perfect for me. I can even put it near my computer with PS2 pluged in to play some games on my spare times...

5-0 out of 5 stars Spectacular HDTV from basic cable without a box!
I got this set because of the spectacular picture quality, and had planned to pay more to the cable company to add HDTV to my "basic cable" connection.I decided to plug it in and see how it does with normal TV, and I put it on AutoChannel to scan for the channels that are available. After about 10 minutes, it was done scanning, and much to my surprise, the HDTV channels of the major networks and PBS are all available on this TV, because it has a built-in QAM tuner that decodes the unscrambled local channels, without renting a box from the cable company for $6.50/month!!(This is not true for premium content channels that are scrambled.)

1-0 out of 5 stars BEWARE! Syntax Warranty!
Syntax clearly states that their warranty is only good for the origninal purchaser. I got my daughter one as a gift, gave it to her bran new, in the factory sealed box and Syntax refuses to honor the warranty, (and yes I calld everywere and tried everything).

Tote it to the office, take it in the car--the Axion AXN-7080 LCD television and DVD player combo unit puts a world of entertainment at your fingertips. The toaster-like top-loading DVD slot helps the set maintain its portrait-thin profile--just 2 inches thick without its table stand. A remote control simplifies operation from your desk or couch.
