Just bought this for my bedroom.The picture looks great! The sound is a little lacking, especially when I am running on my treadmill the same time, but if you turn it up, you can still hear it.It's light weight and easy to hook up.Overall a great product.
Great picture and great sound
Picture, of course, is great, and the way the connections are hidden in the back under a cover panel is a very good feature.I have it in the bedroom and it is very loud.I have it on 30-40% of max.

Get more for the buck
I wanted a 25 + inch LCD TV on tight budget and this was the obvious choice. I am happy with the TV. The colors and sound is good. I connected it with my Windows XP MCE and it's awesome. This is the LCD to buy!!!
I held off buying an LCD TV for a few reasons.The main one was that whenever I looked at them in the store motion scenes appeared to blur.Another negative was that I heard repeatedly that standard signals looked weak.When I saw this Toshiba I was intrigued by the 8 ms fast response time.I have also had good experiences with other Toshiba products.The bad thing was that there are no reviews of this TV on the internet yet!Well, as to my first concern...there is no problem with fast motion on this TV, it is as smooth as a tube.The standard definition programming watched through digital cable is almost as good as my tube TV but a hair worse.VCR tapes look pretty good but don't try to stretch the image, it shows the weakness of the format.DVD's look really good through a standard DVD player without any upconversion.Where this TV shines is with HD programming.The picture is absolutely breathtaking.I highly recommend this TV. ... A viable option for kitchen/office, etc and a PC monitor too
Overall, it's a good deal for what you get compared to what you spend.Although, the lowest volume is too high, the remote is way too small (can get frustrating), and the on screen channel display is way too small...but if you can overlook these minor infractions, then this is a good buy...makes a great 2nd tv for the kitchen, office, bedroom...probably not the best choice for the living room/great room...I purchased because it was the lowest priced flat panal that also served as a PC monitor and had a good image when viewing it in the store.I would probably purchase again...

Buying from Amazon
My first TV would not always turn on when started. I contacted Phillips for an exchange and was told that it would need to to be shipped to them for repairs and would take 15-20 business days, which is not very helpful when you have just purchased a brand new TV. I contacted Amazon direct who exchanged the unit for me within days, they were extremely helpful.

Stand doesn't swivel
There's a lot to like about this TV.Unfortunately, the stand doesn't swivel (side to side) - if that matters to you, be sure to factor that into your decision.

Love it...
I love this one...Started with a Samsung 32".Moved to a Vizio 37" Now, have this set.It is like night and day, the higher contrast and brightness.Dual HDMI inputs, built in tuners. Great football machine, with no ghosting.
Not as good a panasonic plasma
I own both this Aquous and a 37 inch Panasonic plasma TV. As good as the Sharp is, it is not as brilliant and exciting as the Panasonic, which looks almost 3d sometimes.I have waited about three months to make my final decision but the Plasma wins.. ... Read more

Please don't bother!
One star is too many!(It should be negative one).This sad excuse for a television/radio has to be the worst piece of lame crud I have ever bought in my entire life.Picture fades into black, terrible reception which fades in and out as you move about the room, smells like burning plastic after a half-hour, and so on.Please, Amazon shoppers, don't waste any money on this!You might just as well throw the $15 out the window.Step up to something more reliable from a better manufacturer.

BRAVIA = BRAVO!!!
There's an intimidating amount of HTDVs out there, so hopefully this review will help you narrow your choice down. I'll list the pros first, then the cons, but first I want to comment that if you live in an apartment like I do, a 26" is really the way to go. It's probably an upgrade from what you currently have and it's not too big that you have to rearrange your living room to accomodate your new TV.
Not made in Japan
I am a firm believer that electronics actually made in Japan are better and usually costlier than other eastern countries.SONY usually makes their upper tier of products in Japan but this TV is not.It is made in Mexico.
Great All Around Flat Panel TV
First, regarding the reviewer who is complaining that his TV was made in Mexico. Actually, this is false, they are just assembled in Mexico. The actual LCD is made in a factory jointly owned by Samsung and Sony. I believe the idea that Mexican labor is inferior is a position founded more in racial prejudice than anything else. This isn't Sony Mexico, its just a Sony factory using Mexican labor. Get used to it, Japan and the US arn't assembling electronics anymore---but the engineering is still top notch Sony---and its the engineering that you buy a Sony for.

Great TV for the price
I got a wonderful deal (i.e. <2k) for this TV at Amazon. Having been enamored by the high definition images on plasma TVs at local stores, and being a huge sports fan, I decided to bite the bullet and get an HDTV for myself.
Great Plasma for under two grand
Had the TV over a month now and am really pleased. I've always wanted a plasma but of course, the prices were way out of reach. Once they hit two grand and below I decided to take the plunge. People were telling me to go with the EDTV as they are a bit cheaper but its not high def. I decided with this one. I got it at Fry's Electronics. The tv has a very big wow factor in my middle sized apartment and I find myself watching more of my DVDs. The picture quality is excellent. I got comcast HD cable box with DVR for only 9.95 more a month so I cancelled my Tivo as they don't have HD (yet) on their drives. The sound is also excellent, much better than my sony trinitron that weighs a ton (over 100 pounds). The tv weighs somewhere around 80 pounds and is less than 5 inches thick. Panasonic makes the panels for Toshiba so you know the quality will be good as Panasonic's plasmas are always on the top of lists of best plasmas. Hope this helps. ... Read more

This model exceeded my expectations. My Sony of almost 20 years developed wavy lines on the screen and i figured after 4 moves, it was telling me that i'd be viewing the World Cup on someone else.
