1-0 out of 5 stars YUK!
Ive come to find out that the age old saying "you get what you pay for" is true in turntables more than anything else in the world...if your serious about djing your gonna have to buy the technics...sorry, ive coughed up more money trying to get by with cheaper decks like these than I would of buying a brand new pair of sl-1200's. the pitch control on here is pretty good for a numark (most of them wobble about like crazy!) but the motor sucks! It speeds up when you try to slow it! My gosh! ...also...Ive had a problem with both where they'll just stop sometimes...I'll have to turn the power off & on to get it back to working...then last week, BAM! It wont spin at all! I could be at home slamming it out on the decks right now! Instead im writeing this bad review for these horrid little turntables, AVOID!

4-0 out of 5 stars Gerbil exercise mat turns in circles
This Gerbil exercise mat turns in circles, allowing enough calorie consumption from fat gerbils to lose weight in about a month.Has dual speed control and a soft padding for sensitive feet, also has easy clean up for expected gerbil waste. At night can be used as a spinning wheel to clean dirty grapes or eye sockets in monkey skulls.

1-0 out of 5 stars Well, it can play a record...
That's about it.Oh, and it's pretty. My TT-200's have been such an enormous hassle to own.I don't like that the tone arm is so high up that if you use a low profile cart with the strait arm that the needle won't touch the record without that thick neoprene mat.I don't like how the power supply creates so much interference that Stanton 680 and Grado DJ200i will pick up EM hum from it.The Average Wow & Flutter is rated at better than 0.2%, but that is right at the margin of what is audible. There is no rating for Peak W&F, and from the slightly smeared highs on every cart you try (except for the harshest and brightest ones) I'd guess it's much worse than 0.2%.How much?I have no idea and I'd bet money that Numark doesn't know either.

1-0 out of 5 stars dont forget the amp
nowhere in the description does it say that you have to perchase an amp seratly but you do i was under the inpretion that for 150 bucks it would be good to go as soon as i plugged it into some speekers but boy was i wronge amazon was helpfull but the other company was willing to offer me $15 off the perchase price if i would keep it and not return it. what does that tell you i did keep it but only because they wanted me to pay return shipping costs and would not refund my original shipping so in the long run i would have ended up paying about $30 to return it. i was very dissapointed with their service but i still have a turntable to play my records.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dissappointing Product
I was execting a better product than what I received since it is a NUMARK product made in the U.K.. The Price was so tempting approx. $66, probably that's what you get when you pay cheap. But regarding the service of amazon, I have no complain about it, everything was smooth till I returned the product. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Perfectly Matched Set..
This cartride arrived as Original Equipment with the Audio-Technica AT-PL120 Professional Direct-Drive Turntable from Amazon.I purchased an additional cartridge due to past experiences with reductions in sound quality over time. The recommended Tracking Force of 3-5 grams appeared to be for those who DJ.My preference at 1.5 grams continues to provide accurate tracing of groove modulations. The .4 x .7-mil elliptical tip does provide outstanding performance without the extra mass improving the tracking ability of the stylus assembly, and extends frequency response.Essentially, it is tough as nails, and yet provides a well-balancefeminine touch on the vinyl.

Editorial Review

Crosley Radio founder Powel Crosley was the first U.S. manufacturer to build a production model sports car several decades back, and now the company pays tribute to its founder's grand ambitions with the CR711 Autorama turntable. Housed in a streamlined red chassis that looks like the front grill of a classic '50s roadster, the turntable is designed for vintage car fans, retro freaks, and anyone else who wants an alternative to the soulless, high-tech look. The Autorama is no slouch from a playback perspective, either, with a belt-drive motor that plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm records, giving you access to both full-length LPs and classic singles collections. The device even comes with an analog AM/FM radio that picks up your favorite music and news stations, complemented by a striking illuminated center dial. And thanks to the external FM antenna, you'll receive consistently good reception everywhere in the house.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A Real Disappointment!
I had been shopping around for a record player for a long time and finally settled on the Crosley CR711 retro, red in color.I went with Crosley because I know it was a name I could trust.I was so excited when I received my record player...that is, until I put the first record on.The music sounded like the record was warped, although I knew it wasn't.I kept trying different records, still the same quality. To make a long story short, after multiple e-mails and phone calls, Crosley agreed to have the record player returned to them for repair at their expense.Again, another disappointment. That was two weeks ago. I had to pay for the shipping, I still have not received my record player, and when I sent another e-mail, I was told a part had to be ordered and the record player was still under repair. The whole experience - VERY disappointing! It's not like I can cough up another $130.00 for a record player!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars It is a drag!
Although I received the retro unit expected, it did not work as it was unacceptable in performance. The first LP played sounded as if something was dragging the turn table. The next 3 records also dragged. Very dissapointed in the variable speed of the record and the sound produced. Hi-Fi was not not expected but uniform sound reproduction was expected. I used an electronic timer and taped marks on the turn table and the base to determine the RPM of the turn table. The test was done both with and without a record in place. The results after many measurements: ALL TESTS RESULTED IN READINGS LESS THAN 331/3 RPM AND WERE VARIABLE BETWEEN 3O AND 33 RPM. A real drag!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Plastic Junk
The Turntable on this unit is very cheap and is made of very lightweight plastic. This causes the turntable to be weighed down when you place a record on it, which in turn causes the record to rub against the edges of the unit... resulting in a warped sound output. If you want to spend 150.00 on a old fashion looking radio, go right ahead. But if you want to spin LP records without them sounding warped, don't waste your time and money. Looks cool, sounds and performs lousy. ... Read more

Editorial Review

A unique solution for DJs who love the feel of vinyl but want to use their CDs for mixing and scratching, the Numark CDX CD turntable literally combines the best of both worlds. Unlike other CD turntables, which merely mimic the construction of traditional record players, the CDX uses a genuine 12-inch record as the controlling interface. In other words, the CDX not only looks like a turntable, but it actually feels like one as well. The CD responds to each movement of the 12-inch record whether you're scratching, battling, or looping, resulting in a DJ experience that harnesses modern digital formats while feeling as smooth and tangible as classic vinyl.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Reall Turntablist Review
Ive had these for a while now. They are excelent quality better then the Denon's Dns-5000. The sound quality is clear, the interface is easy to get used to, and the effects are great. It plays both regular cd's, burned cd's and Mp3 cd's. The platter is extremely smooth and accurate so mixing is easy and has 4 diffrent scratch modes. The BPM counter respons right when you put the track and it has the capability to automatically interlock beats between one cdx and another for those who are just starting out. The search wheel is used for both effects(wet\dry) and super fast search.

3-0 out of 5 stars OK starter carts
These are definitely meant to only get a DJ off the ground. They are very dull in the highs and do not possess the greatest clarity. After hearing some Shure carts, I thought my Stanton's were mono, lol.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for beginners and bedroom DJs
this is a DJ cartridge designed for backcueing and scratching. They are very affordable and have a reputation for lasting a long time and low record wear. Perfect for new DJs and practice.
3-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
Not the best cartridge to get.The sound isn't that clear and crisp & the first one I got I had to take back because it simply didn't work out of one channel.Best advice - listen to the audiophile's warning. This really was made to be played at a loud venue where the intricacies and details of the tune's/sounds aren't being concentrated on, and this is a good stylus to scratch if you're into it.

1-0 out of 5 stars I got This Giant Box for Xmas and Now I Have to Return it?
The faultlines of poorly manufactured overseas products and the Ancient Continent of Quality have rubbed together a lot in my life. They have let go and slipped with this product, so it gets about a 6.5 on my scale of disgust. The cabinet is p-board.The turntable, radio and tape work.So far the CD has never worked. If you lose the remote for this baby, nothing will work. And my Sis spent a lot of $$ for this product. But I'll have to take vacation and my money to repack the nonworker in its monster box, then go to Fedex or UPS and stand in line, and spend money to send it back and get another????.And all I see is a tsunami of more of this kind of stuff washing over me.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not so great...
The system, even though it looks great, has a very "tinny" sound. You can get better sound from an older Fisher Price child's system! There are no extra audio auxillary connections to connect it with a better sound system. My advice? Save your $$$ and invest in better equipment. I received this as a Xmas gift & after listening to it have not since turned it on.If you are looking for a "nostalgic" looking system check out the Crosley products.Same looks and better sound with the extra audio connection option on most. Thanks Santa, but you goofed. Glad I didn't spend my money on it.You would think RCA would have a better sounding product. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Turntable
I had been studing this turntable for almost two years testing it against other tables in it's class and using it side by side with the Technics 1200. It has proven itself to me a very powerful piece of equipment. The torque instantly improved my skills as a turntablist. The stabilty amazed me, as I'm been scratching for about a combined 10 hours and it hasn't skipped yet. The 680Hp cartridges are excellent at holding their groove and the sound quality is also beautiful. The only two things that I foundas a downside were the weight (36 pounds) and the Hyper White LED light is plug in and not pop-up. Being a mobile Dj it is a good thing to have a lot of weight when you are playing but bad when you are moving.

1-0 out of 5 stars Are they all duds?

5-0 out of 5 stars Great turntable for the price
