5-0 out of 5 stars So much better than a mouse!
I have 2 cordless TrackMan Wheels & 2 corded versions. I can't stand to use a computer that is not eqiped with one. It makes so much more sense to to simply use my thumb to navigate rather than having to keep picking up the mouse and moving it to get to whereever it is you are trying to go and ran out of mousepad before you could get there. The TrackMan is very sensible and reliable. Why they don't quit making mice and make more of these is beyond me. The people who don't like trackballs have just never really used a trackball. They must be same people that have made American cars cushy and buy iPods.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great fit, awful to clean
It fits my hand well and is very responsive to small movements, however the trackball collects gunk and is extremely difficult to clean. You can't simply pop out the trackball and wipe down the contact points; you need a screwdriver and at least a half hour of patience to put the pieces back together.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fits the bill
There is everything positive about this product and nothing negative....

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Trackball Ever!
I have always been a fan of Kensington trackball products, and I thought they had cornered the market with their previous gray and blue model.I was skeptical about replacing that one; but after four years of use, the moving parts were no longer in prestine condition.Fortunately, I had the opportunity of using the new model at work, and I was convinced that this optical K Mouse was well worth owning. Its smooth movement made computer use more enjoyable, and its contour design reduces my wrist stress factor to zero. This input device is awesome!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not broken in - Heavy ball
I bought two of these and have only used them a couple days. What I dislike most about it is the weight of the trackball. It is too massive to expect to be able to use delicate movements of one finger. It looks like a pool (table) ball that is especially painted.I have a little arthritis and at first I thought I would have to return it.It was annoying to see that the three little red balls that hold up the trackball were so stiff it made the trackball hard to turn.Turning it upside down and rolling it around helped but the stiffness was noticeable for hours. Not what I expect in a quality product. I use the ball with two fingers. The weight of the ball makes the whole thing topheavy so it is difficult to balance on my lap (where I usually use it). I did not like the size and placement of the buttons because there is no really comfortable position for my large hand.I think if Kensington kept the radial design of the buttons but made more of them and if the buttons extended further then I could use their programmabiltiy to get a good fit.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great, but DON"T WASH THE BALL...
The advice to wash the ball is wrong. I did, and the ball would barely move... friction. Untill Irubbed a little skin oil on it... then it flew! Continues to spin with the slightest toch. It's great. I laughed, I cried. I'll never go back to a regular mouse ever! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it...
This is my first trackball mouse, and I am so happy that I discovered it. This mouse is the perfect size for my hand and has become even more natural over the past few months than a regular mouse...
5-0 out of 5 stars Trackball a must!!
I have always sworn by Logitech Trackballs, and this one did not disappoint.Very comfortable, easy to use, and a great price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solved my RSI issues
I was very reluctant to try a ball instead of a mouse, but my IH ergonomist said she would stop nagging me if I tried this for a week and if I did not like it she'd switch me back. After two days I told her she was not getting the Trackman Wheel back. That was five years ago and since then I have insisted on these on my computers at work and bought them for my computers at home, all told I've acquired about six of these little guys. I love them.

1-0 out of 5 stars My hand is numb.
My work place recently bought these for our workstations. It has caused about 30% drop in speed of service. Most of this is due to anesthetize effect of long term use. The other problem that has occurred is lack of fine control. After dealing with these trackballs I have come to the conclusion that they must be designed for gamers that use it for two hours or less.

2-0 out of 5 stars blugggh!
all i can tell you is i tried to save money by purchasing this mouse. my boyfriend lost partial mobility of his hand a week into using this THING.... and seriously he could not move his hand without it hurting. i found it very uncomfortable and difficult to master using myself... i say forget saving money and save your hands! spare the extra ten bucks and buy a better mouse. stick with logitech, they have awesome mice USUALLY- just don't buy this particular design. it is awkward!

1-0 out of 5 stars Not the trackball I was searching for.
I'm a lefty, and I've been searching for a trackball mouse I could use on a CAD program. This isn't it.Though it is similar to the Logitech Trackman wheel (for right hands), the scroll functions are put into two seperate buttons, instead of one wheel. So for any of you who have programs with functions built into pressing the scroll wheel, it just doesn't work. Also, the track ball in the center is not as ergonimic as it should be, as you use fingers instead of thumb to control. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Another GREAT Logitech product
I upgraded from a Logitech Marble (which still works perfectly after a year, I just wanted to go wireless). This is slightly bigger and has a larger ball. Your hand position is also a little different, which, to me, seemed very akward and uncomfortable at first. However, after about a day, this one became second nature and I couldn't imagine it being any different. I LOVE IT!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good buy, some button programming required.
I'm really enjoying this device. It has made many tasks easier. One thing I will note is that the right mouse button is difficult to use where it is positioned. The button layout is flawed in this regard. However, I was able to reprogram one of the other mouse buttons under the thumb to function acceptably in this role. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable
This is the most comfortable mouse-type input device I've ever used. Of course, that's only out of a few other trackballs and a whole lot of mice. But it allows me to keep my wrist more neutral. It tracks very well. If it gets gummy, the ball is easy to pop out and clean on my shirt. After several years of use, I've lost one of it's little rubber feet and the nonslip coating on the surface of the dark gray area in the center is starting to peel away.

5-0 out of 5 stars review for optical trackball
I've been working with a trackball for eons.Had to replace the one I was using because hey...evolution means USB!This trackball is fantastic. It's so smooooth in it's movement.I had already bought one for home... and bought another for work.Go for it. you'll love it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Kensington trackball mouse
The placement of the right button is esthetically pleasing but physically uncomfortable as it interferes with the holding of the mouse and negotiating the trackball. I continuously have to reset the menu that pops up when I accidentally touch the right button. It needs to be moved so the hand doesn't rest on it or have to be held up off the mouse to keep from hitting it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wireless Trackball
Superb product.I have used other Kensington mouses prior to this one and this one is the very BEST yet.I had to use a wireless mouse for a couple of months and my wrist bothered me so much that I had to put in a request for a new trackball.I love this mouse.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kensington Expert Mouse Review
I bought this for my 7 year-old grandson who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy which severely limits the movements of his limbs. In fact, he can literally only use his left hand. The mouse works perfectly and provides him with the freedom to be creative on the computer.

3-0 out of 5 stars Trigger button stopped working in 6 months...
I absolutely loved this mouse until today when the very important, left-click trigger button gave out.I used it every single day, but wasn't rough with it.I came here today to buy another, but now I'm seeing the same exact button problem in other reviews.I really need (want) another one, but they really need to improve them first.

1-0 out of 5 stars How quickly can I get this back to the store...
Can't seem to get any support from Kensington! In the booklet it says to download some award-winning software to make the Orbit Trackball enhanced.I go to the website and start to down load the software.but the software says it won't work on PS2 connected trackball and it won't work on the two button trackballs.... Other than that the booklet is great! So here they make a PS2 trackball with two buttons but their software, of course doesn't support their hardware. In fact I can't find this model on their website. The only one I can find is an optical trackball.... Go figure!I'm beginning to think this is a USA company run by foreign incompentents. To end this pathetic diatribe, I am unable to scroll text, or at least figure a way to do that function. You would figure a I/O device made today would support that important scroll function.Sorry I am unhappy with it, I tried to accept it into my computer family, but because of its non-support of functions I think I need, I'll make it go to the back of my mouse pad and stay there while I get a more capable trackball that will be accepted into my warm productive computer family.I hope this will teach the little bugger to come better prepared!

I'm not completely crazy about the little punch buttons, since it's too hard to remember which button does what, but the jog/shuttle wheel is great.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Interface Device Even If Construction Quality isn't Perfect
Easy to set up, and intuitive to use, the Contour Design ShuttlePRO V.2 is a must have for video editors, digital music composers, or others who need to do a lot of shuttle and jog work. The driver software provides application-sensitive control that switches input functions depending on the program in use (Photoshop, Excel, etc.) as well as allowing global control settings.Reconfiguring the buttons and dials is both straightforward and simple to do: launch the configuration program, and click or move the control that you want to reassign; the ShuttlePRO configuration program automatically selects the right input, and you enter the keystroke and modifiers (shift, control, alt).

1-0 out of 5 stars Awful!!
In the past, I've always used Logitech trackballs.I should have gone with my instinct and purchased the Logitech Optical Marble Mouse that I originally looked at. However, I did not listen to my gut and I decided to go with this Kensington trackball instead, because it had the one thing the Logitech did not:a scroll wheel. Big mistake.
2-0 out of 5 stars good for 3 weeks until it broke (2 items, same part broke)
I bought two of these at the same time - one for work, one for home.Within 3 weeks, the same bearing ball on both items broke!(from a top down view, it was the white bearing that is closest to the mouse wheel and on the right side)Also, the mouse itself got very dirty internally very quickly....i soon found myself whishing for my old optical trackball......I returned both of the turbo balls since they were defective.

5-0 out of 5 stars A dozen years, and ticking...
I've been using this trackball for 12yrs, and loving it. It fits my hand perfectly. The programmable-button functions I use most are (for browsers) previous-page, and (for all applications) close-window, scroll-to-top. It drives me batty to be on a computer where I have to go to the keyboard for these! I have to shift my palm to use the scroll wheel, but I don't mind that much: if I'm scrolling, I'm usually reading closely and not trying to use other mouse functions.

5-0 out of 5 stars The ONLY one I will use.
I love this mouse. No picking up and moving a mouse anymore. This is actually my second one.The first one finally wore out after several years.I used a "normal" mouse as a temporary while waiting for my new one.Imissed my Trackball, and I couldn't belive how annoying the old style mouse was. With this one you can go back forward up and down.. wow.. it improves cruising the internet!
2-0 out of 5 stars Not too smooth!

5-0 out of 5 stars Just about the perfect mouse
If you like trackball style mice, this is the perfect one to get. I already have one for the house and at work, but I have two computers at work so I just ordered a third one to take to work. Amazon doesn't have them, but there are still sites that have new ones. I love them, and have never had any problems from them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for browsing
There is not much you can say about it other than it is great. It is great for browsing and, after a bit of getting used to, my wrist feels so much better. If you have wrist problems, I highly recommend this product.

1-0 out of 5 stars Could not keep it working
Within a month of getting this. It stopped working. After dealing with Tech Support, they sent me a second one. It also stopped working after about a month. I tried to convince the woman in India (Kensington customer service) to replace it with a less expensive, wired trackball that worked, and they refused.5-0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST TRACKBALL'S AVAILABLE
I have used almost every trackball produced. This is my favorite when it works. For some reason, the pointer becomes difficult to control and only cure isnonuse. The Logitech Marble Trackball is equal to the Kensington except in one area.
