5-0 out of 5 stars Quality Home Office Phone
Hard to find a quality phone these days. This Panasonic does all the basics required for a home office, including a decent speakerphone. Note that the speakerphone uses AA batteries, not an AC adaptor. Phone does NOT need batteries to work as basic phone. Recommended, but only appears to be sold online.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Corded Speaker Phone
I've been searching for a corded phone for a while and came across this one.The speaker phone is definitely a bonus, however, it won't really work properly unless you put the batteries in it. Without the batteries, you can't dial and press the speaker phone right afterward. You have to wait until the person you're calling answers the phone. So don't forget to put the batteries in if you want the speaker phone to work properly.Overall, the phone is clear and crisp. The size of the dial buttons is a good size.Definitely a good corded phone to have.

4-0 out of 5 stars Conference... in style
I needed a simple solution for my office. I wanted to be able to use the phone, but not get tied down by the handset, or the headset. Here was my solution, Since the TS105B has the 2.5mm port for a headset, I purchased a Jabra A210 Bluetooth adapter along with this phone and used one of my spare bluetooth headset to stay on conference calls and yet be able to move around my office. So far... WOW!!! its worked out great. The phone is also good by itself, plus it was inexpensive through AMAZON. For anyone interested in going the route I took... you will not be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I have a job as a PSO and this is the best phone to use so you can do everything around the house and be ready when you get a call. It's an awesome phone. If there are any other PSO'sout there get this phone!

5-0 out of 5 stars I will never again buy a non-plantronics cordless phone
I bought this phone to replace a similar Uniden model that I'd had to replace twice in as many years.Plantronics has a good reputation so I figured I'd give this one a try.I find it utterly convenient and high-quality.The sound quality is better than my older and larger cordless in the house -- the one that doesn't even have a headset! It's tiny, so I can slip it into a pocket or clip it onto my belt.I walk around with it all the time because I forget it's on.Yesterday, I put it down on the kitchen counter, and accidentally knocked it into water, totally immersing it.I opened it up and let it dry out as best as I could.Today I called Plantronics's tech support and said that, while the display worked, the phone rings, and the voicemail light still operates, the actual buttons don't.I was hoping they could tell me whether I needed to let it dry out more or if they recommended simply buying a new one.Instead, and to my surprise and delight, as it was still under warrantee, they politely and pleasantly informed me are sending me a new one, no questions asked! They didn't even care that it was my fault! That's what I call good service.Even if I hadn't been a fan of the product already, this would have made me a convert.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good reception, easy to use
I really enjoy being able to walk around and talk on the phone hands free. The little ear piece isn't the best design, but over all I really like this phone and the quality of the reception that I get. I highly recommend this phone for anybody looking for a hands free unit. ... Read more

This phone is almost perfect. Perfect functioning, perfect quality of hearing and sound. Good price, not expensive.
4-0 out of 5 stars Challenging keys
This phone set works perfectly and is a good value, but the compact handsets have small buttons.Their size and the hard-to-read, yellowish labels make it challening to find the desired buttons.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good product.. Worth the price!!
This is my second purchase of the same phone. I am having the first piece for more than 4 months now and it is working pretty fine. The reception (with my vonage connection) is very good. Also, the price is decent in amazon.com.

5-0 out of 5 stars So far excellent
We bought this phone to replace a very poor pair of DXI 986 phones from Uniden (see my review). When choosing the Vtech, we also wanted to avoid purchasing from Uniden because of a couple of bad customer service experiences with them.
1-0 out of 5 stars 0 stars - Battery issues
As you'll see from other reviewers, there is definitely a battery issue here. There should be a lemon law in effect for this - time to look for consumer protection laws against this product.

1-0 out of 5 stars Works a few months, then the problems begin
Worked fine for a few months, then started getting the "CHECK BATTERY" error intermittently on either handset.Replaced the AAA NiMH batteries per vtech customer support's recommendation, and the problem went away for about a month then started happening again.Sent it to vtech for replacement under warranty, and new set received uses a proprietary battery pack. Worked OK for 3 weeks, then the "CHECK BATTERY" error started AGAIN!Sent the 2nd set back, and just got yet another replacement after 3 weeks wait. Our 1 year warranty is over in about one week, so I'm guessing this 3rd set will wind up in the trash when (not if) it goes bad in a month or so.It seems the numbskulls at vtech blamed the problems on the battery and switched from AAAs to a special battery pack. However, I am certain the problem lies in the charging circuitry since we've seen the problem with both the old and the newer design handsets. We will never buy another vtech phone again! ... The Philips DECT2252G/37 makes the most of DECT technology with a crystal clear signal that provides the best possible sound quality during calls. Transmitting the signal through a dedicated telephone frequency, this system proves that channel searching and interference with Wi-Fi are a thing of the past. It greatly improves the intelligibility of answering machine messages, and even making it possible for users to record and reproduce music. With polyphonic ringtones, a backlit orange LCD screen and an ergonomic shape, and hands free options from a headset jack and digital speakerphone, the DECT2252G/37 has all the features that make a phone comfortable to use. Just a quick glance at the base station lets you know instantly if you have received any messages. 3-0 out of 5 stars Works with internet but not as high quality as hoped for
This phone, as advertised, works with wireless internet without interrupting service. However, the voice quality is not as high as expected -- there is still some "crackling" on the line. The other big, negative surprise is that there is no headset jack on the telephone, something that I had assumed it would have. For that reason, if you spend a lot of time on the phone, then this is not the model for you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent basic phone
This is a great phone. Memory is easy to progam. The phone has 3 memory keys for emergenies and 9 additional memory keys for personal numbers. It can be used on a desk or hung on the wall. The only thing I don't like about the phone is the buttons on the handset. However, I knew about this feature before purchasing the phone. I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a good basic phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars calling home... good phone!
What you have here is a quality, reliable phone. While it's not like the updated models you see today, it serves its purpose, and serves its purpose quite well. When it comes down to it, no matter what kind of fancy phone you see in the world today, you're still basically typing numbers in *just* to talk to someone. This is why ANY phone will do.The size, comfort and everything else doesn't matter when it comes down to it.Don't even get me started on "ring tones".Geez.

4-0 out of 5 stars Mine is Similar - Good Value
I needed a house phone that didn't look like a cell phone. I needed a big phone with big keys. I needed a lighted keypad. I didn't need a phone I could take two miles down the road with me. I didn't need callerID.I own the older version of this phone, the KX-TG2208; the difference is cosmetic. Panasonic phones have been good for me. I wish it had a hold or mute button, so that if I use the restroom while on the phone, nobody's LISTENING, but I've been pleased with the use I've gotten out of the phone. Mine is about two years old now as of this writing. I've actually gotten the version of this that has the answering machine built in to use in the kitchen, but if you have an external answering machine, this one's just as good and is a cheaper alternative.

3-0 out of 5 stars Hello...Good Phone for the Price
Good quality phone; no caller ID feature; easy to use; good range from base; voice enhancer makes calls clearer; for the price, this is an excellent telephone; large buttons with lighted keypad make dialing easy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Unmemorable performance
The phone has adequate range and performance, but the "voice enhancer" has to be manually activated, and frankly makes little difference in sound quality.Additionally, the phone has no memory for numbers, other than last number dialed.I'm surprised to find a phone with so many features, and so few conveniences. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars speakerphone has problems
I purchased 3 of these for my office back in October.First the speakerphone microphone on the one on my desk stopped working most of the time.I had been planning on exchanging the phone on my desk with a coworkers since I use the speakerphone on a daily basis. My investors were out this week and were on a conference call on another of the phones, that microphone stopped working.Today I had a phone interview and the THIRD phone microphone stopped working! They work for 15 or 20 seconds, then the party on the other end can't hear you. These are gone.I was also hoping for a visual indicator that there were messages waiting when you use Verizon Centrex/voicemail.No go there.

The sound quality is very good and all the functions seem to work properly. Most of the features are very user friendly, easy to figure out. 2-0 out of 5 stars Caller ID Stopped Working on Day 3
Love this phone.....if only the Caller ID would work!It worked fine on day 1, day 2 worked on and off.....day 3 Caller ID not working.Tried moving the phone to different outlets, removing the batteries & putting them back in, tried new wire etc.... The phone works great otherwise.Loved the Caller ID when it was working--much larger than most and easy to read. Oh well!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Cordless Phone
I ordered three GE 5.8 GHZ accessory phones for the GE Base phone. I loved that the GE Phones have features like mute, speaker, conf, and also an intercom so I can call from the phone in the kitchen to upstairs. The reception is great too. With the accessory phones, you do not need a telephone jack to attach to, just plug into the electrical outlet and the phones work off the base phone. Each has it's unique ring tones and I love how light and sleek they are. You can also turn off the ringer from each phone individually or there's a base phone that has a private button that allows you to turn the ringer on/off all the phones all at once. One of the phones I received was non-functional, but the return process was so easy. I had a replacement phone in two days.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice!
Pretty much everything about this phone has been good.Good range, exceptional sound clarity, large screen view, battery longivity, no interference with our computer wireless network, it's design and size, and the easy intercom usage make it an good wireless phone. The speakerphone works very well too.Even assigning the different built-in ringtones to friends and relatives phone numbers (using Caller ID) isn't too difficult and makes it even more functional. It's even got a battery back-up feature in the base station which makes it reliable in power failures - apparently, a general area power failure can render a multi-phone system useless if they don't have battery back-up.We've had 4 of these handsets with the 5831 base station for some 2 years now.Because of this good experience, I would consider any of the 5800 series VTech phone systems if I had to buy another multiple handset phone system.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great accesory handset, no problems!
Excellent quality phone, has been used regularly for over a year with no problems.

3-0 out of 5 stars On their way out
I have the previous model that is the same but without the wallpaper. I have had for 2 years. I have noticed that they are losing quality of reception in certain areas of my home and that some buttons on the keypads I am not able to push.I too am having problems with the charger bases.I have two handsets and both will not fully charge and nor sit correctly in the base. Also in going to the vtech website I noticed that htese are on their way out and they are no longer making the additional handsets.I love the style though and wish I could find a similair style with the blue backlighting.I say find a more recent model. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Works great
If you are looking for a simple phone with almost all features, and a good speaker phone, this is the one for you.I use this phone mainly with speaker on...theres no problem till now..I am satisfied with the purchase.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works Just Fine
The phone works fine but is a little complicated to navigate through the phone book.I could not figure out a way to add caller id numbers to the phone book automatically like I can on my cell phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Phone
The features and clarity of this phone are excellent. It replaced an 8 year old 1st generation 2.4GHz phone and the difference was amazing. The phone features Caller ID on Call Waiting and Call Waiting Deluxe which give you flexibility in answering incoming calls.According to Uniden Customer Support, this phone features Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) as opposed to the older Digital Spread Spectrum (DSS) for better security and clarity. One of the features is you can add up to 3 more DCX 750 or the older DCT640 handsets to the base if you need them. The phone is an adequate size, similar to Nokia cellphones of about 6 years ago.I haven't had any problems with interference from the home wireless network either. If you need a basic cordless phone then this is for you. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Can you hear me now?
Amazingly poor sound quality. My calls were breaking up in the next room!I have the base unit set up next to my computer (no wi-fi though) so I might be getting some interference from all the electronics nearby, but still, the reception is worse than my cell phone.I'm giving this unit away (I don't want to go through the hassle of packing it up and shipping it back) and looking for a highly rated 5.8 GHz unit.
2-0 out of 5 stars Very Unsatisfied!
After thoroughly researching different models and styles, we ordered this one. Unpacked it from the box and set it up. We liked the larger view screen on the handsets, but one of them would not work. Talked to Uniden's support line- VERY UNHELPFUL! Basically, we had to pack the whole thing up and send the whole unit back when all we needed was just one replacement handset. I told them if I had to send the whole thing back, I just wanted a refund and would buy another product!

2-0 out of 5 stars Uniden DCT758-4
Somewhat disappointed. After going through the unpacking excercise and installing all batteries etc. Noticed that the antenna on the base unit was broken.Although the antenna is designed to move both horizontally and vertically, the antenna was completed disconntected from the unit.If you intend on using the base unit as a wall mount, make sure that you have ample room to accomodate the antenna and the phone. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Uniden 8866's area code problem easily solved, and other comments
Uniden 8866 has a Global setting option called "Area Code".If you leave OUT the area code, it will automatically insert it into CID.This is true even if you had programmed area code previously, but now delete it.I learned this after reading the other reviews on the page.I have the Uniden 8866 and am debating returning it to Sam's Club where I bought it at $40 more than Amazon sells (so you should buy it here);possibly returning it in favor of, Panasonic's KX 5480S 2-line phone, which Amazon has just shipped me (so I don't know if the KX is better yet).I love Panasonic phones. This is my first Uniden phone.
4-0 out of 5 stars Easy fix for problem with Caller ID call backs
Yes, it is true the phone does not save a "1" in front of the CID area code. However, all you need to do when you pull up the CID number you want to dial is press "*". That will force a "1" before the area code. Presto!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone.
Have never owned a better phone. The gentleman that wrote the review with 1 star had a valid point though, you can't call back callers in the CID menu with an area code outside of yours (no option to put a "1" in front of the number). However his other point of not being able to turn off the answering machine is funny, because this model does NOT HAVE an answering machine! Wow. Its only an additional keypad folks, no answering machine. That would stand to reason why you can't turn off your "imaginary" answering machine. Also, I purchased three additional TCX905 handsets... also work great. All the features I need.Another small feature lacking, is being able to change the ringtone on the base.Overall though, you'll love it over ATT, GE, and Panasonic.I've had them all. ...
