2-0 out of 5 stars After Six Months: Persistent Complaint
I have had this phone for over six months and I agree with much positive that has been said. The sound that I hear when others speak if very strong, but over time I have had to change phones (to a non-cordless) countless times when people have said they could not hear me or that I should "speak up."When I do change phones, the response is that it is "much better!"I know that cordless and corded have different technologies, but one should not need to shout into a phone, ever. There are several settings on this Panasonic that make what I hear crisp, boosted, "improved," but nothing to help others hear me (I speak to groups every day for my work and my voice is good).I am actually in the market for a replacement set of phones---and would greatly appreciate someone telling me of any cordless, Panasonic or other, that transmits a voice loud and clear.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific phone, terrific features, terrific value
This phone does pretty much everything I'd need.Positive surprises is that the handsets have speakerphones built in, and the handsets can all access the anwering machine.I've had pretty bad luck with reception with other wirelesses in my house, the only phone that worked OK was the expensive and finicky engenius brand. This Pana works great and the 3-handset system costs less than any of the single handset versions I've had in the past. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars For 79 Bucks this phone is awesome.
I've seen the biggest complaints by the negative reviewers are lack of extra features. Well, considering that the phones that have those features are up to 3 times more expensive but that this phone gives you all the quality and a lot of other great features, I can live with it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely wonderful phone
In past I have used a variety of cordless phones. But, I always had an issue with the life of the phone. None of the phones lasted me for more than 1 year and few months. Last time I bought a Panasonic phone. I'm extensively using this phone for over 3 years and no degradation in performance. No stuck keys, no faded voice and not even the weakened battery or non responsive battery contacts (which is a problem with most of the rechargable cordless phones). Best of all is the speaker phone on the handset. This made me fan of Panasonic. This is phone is still working beautifully after 3 years of extensive use.
5-0 out of 5 stars Just confirming previous reviews
Like anybody these days, we have plowed through the gamut of corded and wireless phones. I put a little time into research before I bought this Panasonic phone and it was worth it; the unit is a winner and satisfies it just about all respects. It is easy to use and set up and has performed well. I especially like being able to set up a phone book on one handset and beam it to all the other handsets. The intercom feature also gets a lot of use since we have three floors to cover. I have also made use of the custom ringtones (and even the color of the flashing LED on the antennae) so I know when I don't want to pick up the phone (i.e. when the in-laws call). There is even a speakerphone. The handset is solid and feels good in your hand. The voice quality is good - not as good as a corded phone but much better than the other wireless phones I have tried. In addition, the 5.8 GHz frequency does not interfere with our wireless computer network.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent phone Tons of features
I purchased this phone system as a gift. I set it up and used it extensively. The handsets have features that you are used to finding in a cell phone. Many different ring tones to choose from, the antenna lights up when a call comes in. You can even set special colors and ring tones for specific callers so you'll know when they're calling without picking up the handset.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellant Answering Machine/Phones
I received my answering machine/phone two weeks ago. I had a Uniden which was awful after several months use. My calls no longer break up or fade as they did with the Uniden. The answering machine is simple to use and the functions are very easy to see. The calls are crystal clear and I am very satisfied. My parents bought one based on my recommendation and they love it. Now my sister will purchase one. I do not need the phone to light up as some customers have complained it does not. The overall quality is more important to me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone.Great speakerphone.Talked for five hours on one handset.
I work at home, and attend lots of conference calls.I was on a conference call recently for five hours on one handset, and the battery meter only lost one bar (of three).(I used a headset the whole time, the handset was only a few inches from the base unit, and the whole thing is only two weeks old, so all of these may've contributed to the long talk time / low battery use.But regardless, that's pretty good.)
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Cordless phone for the money!
I have had 5 other cordless phones over the years and this one is by far the best. I have not experienced any problems with interference (the range is excellent - even two floors down in the basement!), sound quality is very good, and the system is easy to use and expand (I have 4 extensions).
5-0 out of 5 stars The best cordless phone I've ever owned ...
I normally am a "Review Lurker" - meaning I read them when I'm looking to purchase, but rarely if ever write them.So when began looking for a new cordless home phone, I started hitting the reviews.I've owned Uniden phones before, so maybe I was a little biased, but I've tried many other brands that various friends have owned and found them lacking. So, I finally settled on the Uniden TRU9485-2.Not only is this the best cordless phone I've ever owned, it's so good that I felt compelled to write a review.

4-0 out of 5 stars I really like this phone!
I've had this phone for a few weeks and really like it.It has a lot of features, is easy to program and figure out, and the sound quality is quite good.I wanted a separate key pad on the base, but I didn't need a land-line phone attached to it - so the universe I was looking at was somewhat reduced. I bought and returned a GE-25841GE3, which had bad sound quality. I have no complaints about this phone at all. I'm rating it 4 rather than 5 only because I don't use Caller ID, and it appears from other reviews that there may be some issues there. Otherwise, I think this phone rocks!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great phone, but beware of *incorrect* TRU9460 recommendation

4-0 out of 5 stars Not blue but green...
In the product desciption it states that the antenna lights up in three colors: blue, amber and red, or multicolor, but in reality its not blue, but green. (Happen to love blue, so that's the reason of the review.)

2-0 out of 5 stars Microphone stopped working after 1 year in use
Very dissappointed with this unit. We liked it features and the sound quality. However we have been using it for just over the year and the microphone just stopped working. I would have expected a higher quality product from Panasonic!

3-0 out of 5 stars seemed like a good idea
I am hearing impared and us a headphone..i was having a harder and harder time hear with my old headphone so I thought I' get a new headphone AND new phone....I teste the headphone with my old panasonic Kx-tc1457band with the volume control it was plenty of volume for me to hear better....then I hooked up the kx-tg5621s with high hopes because I liked the look and feel and features, unfortunatlywith the headphone volume all the way up, the volume on the phone all the way up and with or without the voice enhancer I couldn't hear very well...it's very clear but not enough volume....for those who arent impaired, you can imagine how deaf I am...any way I tested it for a couple of days thinking I need to get used to the noise canceling, etc.....but problem is if the voice on the other end isn't loud enough...I'm out of options.....I went back to the old 900 mhz with three volume settings on the phone and volume control on the headset..and can hear now with volume to spare...

With a complete set of high performance features and expandable functionality, the Uniden TRU9485 offers a full set of convenient options for busy homes. This set includes three handsets; the system is expandable to a total of ten but only requires a single phone jack. Call Waiting Caller ID includes a 100-station memory (with subscription to local service) that allows names and numbers to be transferred between handsets or moved into the permanent speed dial. DirectLink two-way radio communication is built into each handset, allowing them to function as an in-home intercom system or baby monitor. Redial any of the last three dialed numbers at the touch of a button, activate three-way calls or just enjoy the consistent, clear 5.8 GHz digital signal transmission. You can transfer incoming calls between the handset and base, and make use of the convenient hands-free design by using the included belt clip and built-in headset jack (headsets available separately). Easily adjust handset and ringer volume levels to your comfort, and set the handset LCD menu to one of three menu languages (English, French, or Spanish). A page button lets you quickly locate a handset if it's strayed under the couch cushions. A digital answering system with 15 minutes of message time is built into the base; call screening and recording are available from the handset as well. The base is wall mountable or sits sturdily on a countertop, giving you plenty of display options, and a total of 20 different ring tones (10 tones, 10 melodies) give you a variety of choices. Uniden provides a one-year warranty covering parts and service.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Superb, extensible 5.8 GHz cordless phone system
The introduction of 2.4GHz-based 802.11b/g wireless computer networks will spell the end of many 2.4GHz-based cordless phone systems. Though one can continue to use the phones, the interference they cause with wireless computer networks is a nagging problem. The solution is to either upgrade your cordless phones or your wireless computer network to 5.8GHz. For most, upgrading the phone will be simpler and cheaper than upgrading the network.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Cordless Phone System
This is the best phone I have ever had!The best part of this 5.4 GHz phone, other than the quality of voice without interruption through 2.4 GHz LAN network or microwave, is that it can mute ringer sound but you know you are recieving call by flushing light from the antenna. This is great if you have babies(no more awake by annoying ringer sound while they are taking a nap). All the necessary functions are included (answering machine, caller ID, storing telephone numbers, and etc.I highly recommend this phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars great phone
I bought this to replace a horrible GE cordless phone system. Crystal clear reception, the people I talk to have no problems hearing me either. The only have two complaints I have is that the voice mail memory doesn't store enough digits to put my password in. However, the normal memory entried for my call directory does have enough. Strange, but no biggie. I love the ability to copy the memory over to the expansion sets I bought. However, the special rings for memory entries do not copy. Again, no big deal it would just be nice. Completely happy with this phone and I highly recommend it to others.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent phone
Best phone I've ever had. Good clear signal everywhere in the house. Lots of nice features. Up to 100 memory locations for storing frequently called numbers (I only need 20). Programmable ringtones so you know who is calling as soon as you hear the ring.

1-0 out of 5 stars BUZZ makes 2-line feature completely unusable
This phone has some really fantastic features. As a 1 line phone I highly recommend it. If you add the 2nd line, you CANNOT use both lines. As soon as the 2nd call comes in, the 1st call line is filled with loud buzz and the caller is inaudible.

3-0 out of 5 stars Bye bye Uniden- Hello Panasonic
I really didn't want to return this phone.I loved the idea of a corded base phone with a huge called ID display, and a satellite 5.8 ghz cordless. And the sound was excellent, both on the answering machine and the cordless. So whats not to love?
4-0 out of 5 stars Cordless Phone System
We needed to replace a telephone and answering system, due to age of the old system. The Uniden system has proven to be a very suitable replacement. The instructions are very complete and understandable. The ringer is distinctive and quite loud. Sound quality is quite good. The only drawback is the delay between pressing a number key and the tone associated with it. Overall, we are very pleased with the phone system.

5-0 out of 5 stars Looks good, and sounds good.
Exactly what I wanted, a land line phone in case of power outages, with a cordless extension. The sound quality is good on both phones, the speaker phone is excellent. Best of all is the ease of use of the of the called ID, the answering system and the many other features. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good phone, but headset needs frequent replacement
I've had this phone for about 2 years, and it's worked well. My only complaints:
3-0 out of 5 stars Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone
The sound quality is hissy, and wavy. When we pull the headset off the receiver and plug it into a different phone, the sound quality is better. So the headphones/microphone assembly is top notch. The tiny little receiver unit isn't as good as others. However, for a person with limited use of the hands, the small receiver unit is easier to hold and dial.

5-0 out of 5 stars Everything is relative....
this might seem to be a long review but i believe it would be of help to you =) and i am going to say lots good things about this headset but please be advised that your milage may vary, and more importantly there are cheaper headsets out there, which is probably a concern for many of you.
1-0 out of 5 stars Very poor design
Overall this unit has a very cheap and flimsy feel.Voice quality was OK both in and out. However, the charging case does not hold the unit securely, causing the unit to quit charging.Forget the pocket battery charger because it definitely will disconnect causing the unit, once again, to quit charging. The owners manual is printed so small that I had to use a magnifying glass to read it.In summary, just a very poor design.
4-0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and Sleek
The main reason i went for this one is because it didnt have one of those bulky ear hooks and i wear glasses and it was very uncomfortable with those bulky ear hooks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to integrate... but check compatibility.
Bought this to add a 4th handset to my KX-TG5633. Initially, after reading the technical specs for the 5633 at the Panasonic website, I wasn't certain that the 560 would work with my system; the Pana website says "Multi Handset Compatability: up to 3 handsets". "Did the 3 include the base handset too," I wondered? Yet the amazon info for the 5633 suggested that it could take 4 handsets. After digging out and consulting the 5633's manual, I was satisfied that I could take a 4th handset and ordered.

We purchased this additional phone to add to our 3 phone 5.8 ghz digital Panasonic answering system/phone system. All 4 phones work great with excellent sound.Speaker phone feature on each handset also is nice. Great improvement over our previous GE system (about 3 years old). ... Read more

In a fast moving market, Linksys released this product without all the testing that Linksys is generally known for. I've used many Linksys products before and looked forward to using this one. But this one barely works.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone - good sound quality
ok, so I've been using skype for a while now but through a headset. I recently bought a CIT200 and couldn't be happier. Except for the fact that the base has to be connected to a PC, this is pretty much a full functional phone.

Ideal for small offices or busy roommates, the GE 29869GE2 is a completely digital answering system containing four mailboxes. 3-0 out of 5 stars In search of an acceptable answering machine.
About a year ago I decided that it was time to retire my old Lucent A560 (later changed to a model 1715) answering machine I had on one phone line and a Code-A-Phone tape-type answerer on a second line.Having had very good luck with my Lucent solid-state unit with respect to reliability and absolutely excellent message & record voice quality, I purchased two AT&T 1738 replacements which had nearly the same form factor as the A560.Boy, was I wrong!
4-0 out of 5 stars Best answerer I've had
Works precisely as advertised.None of the complaints in previous reviews hold for my experience. Specifically, battery backup works and sound quality of messages is excellent. Only negative: too many words spoken by the machine and they sometimes seem to overlap.

4-0 out of 5 stars At last, a decent answering machine
Having gone through two crappy digital answering machines (the last one's speaker grew so weak that I had to put my ear up to it when replaying my messages), I scoured the `net looking for just a basic, reliable machine that actually worked and didn't peter out in a year. This one was about the only one that got consistently good reviews. And the price ($31 delivered) on Amazon was, at the time, the best deal I could find (kudos on that free shipping deal, Amazon!).Anyway, I've had it a month and it works fine.I'd give it five stars but my "announcement voice" sounds a bit "digitally warped."I can live with that. But what with all the other technological progress made in other spheres (I've got Dolby 6.1 surround-sound in my upstairs movie theater, for example), I've have thought that this sector of the home electronics industry would at least be able to match the voice quality that I enjoyed for 13 years on my old tape-driven answering machine.Otherwise, this machine's been excellent thus far. I also give 5 stars to Amazon for price, for listing candid reviews about its products, and for its fast (and free!) delivery on most everything I buy from it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good and very versatile cordless phone
I recently purchased this versatile cordless phone system and am very pleased with it. All of the features are convenient and work well and the voice quality is very good. The four handsets may at first seem excessive, but actually they provide convenient access to a phone no matter where one is in one's house. For example, I now have enough handsets to add them to the kitchen and main bathroom, which can be quite handy at times. Also convenient is the fact that only the main unit requires a phone outlet -- the three extension units requires only power outlets for their chargers. Another feature I like is that each handset can store up to 50 names and phone numbers. And, once programmed in one handset, entries can easily be tranferred to the other handsets if desired. Another convenient feature is that the system can be used as an intercom, with each handset capable of calling each of the other handsets. This is the most complete and most convenient phone system I've ever had and I like the quality and reliability of Panasonic products. If you want the features of this versatile phone system with fewer handsets please consider model KX-TG5633 which has two extension units or KX-TG5632 which has only one extension unit. ... This is a very nice phone system.I also bought the camera that works with this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Residential Phone System
This is a great home phone system. It has all the bells and whistles. You can input your own color wallpaper display, name each phone for its location, no obtrusive antenna, great quality, I could go on and on. The voice caller ID is sometimes a little strange, but having owned the previous version of it I'm used to it. You will recognize what it is telling you in very short time. I bought this system (I'm using six phones and a camera)to replace a Meridian (Nortel) system that cost four times the price. The camera monitors the front door from a window in the dining room. I can see who is at the door from anywhere in the house in full color. This is the best one line system available. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this!
This is such a great toy, especially for a phone crazy 16 month old like mine. It has all differant modes, though right now she's only into pushing buttons and making it talk rather then what it is actually saying. I like that it is more like real handhelds then any other phone toy for her age.All I have seen are rotaries and I don't know anyone who still has a rotary phone. Great buy, though you can get it cheaper at the Wal or K.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Toy Phone
My daughter received this phone for Christmas last year when she was 19 months old.Almost a year later, it is still one of her favorite toys.It speaks all the letters of the alphabet and numbers 1-9 in a pleasant, easy-to-understand voice and plays snippets of popular children's and classical songs. There's a simple display that shows block letters in ABC mode, numbers in 123 mode, and animated patterns when the songs are played in Music mode.
