disappointed
I hooked it up, put my cd's in the changer, hit the button to play and heard a clicking noise and saw "Er" displayed.Very disappointed.Everything else was ok, I guess, but I could not listen to my cd's.And to have it repaired by the factory would require me to pay the shipping cost.I went to GPX's website to ask for help.I tried to send them a message using their formand kept seeing "syntax error" . Very disappointed in the product and the factory's support system.

Nice Item, does it all in a compact model
My Aunt bought this for my grandmother about 3-4 years ago. She could listen to her old records, listen to the radio, or play cassettes and CD's. This thing does it all.The sound is Good, fits in the corner of a table, or on a small side table, and is easy for anyone to use.These and similar products are still running for around 69-89 dollars, and pop up more around christmas time. Denon is definitely the best
I previously owned a Yamaha cassette deck before purchasing the DRW -55 from Denon.I have made dozens of tapes for my friends and they all are amazed. I bought my deck at Audio Dimensions in Norman, Oklahoma about four years ago.The Denon deck has performed flawlessly.I have recorded tapes from Lp and CD and other sources.Each tape sounds outstanding!

Pioneer Tape Decks are UNRELIABLE
It took TWO dead ones, including CTW60RS - considerably upscale from this, to realize Pioneer can't make a reliable tape deck. I would never buy anything made by Pioneer that has moving parts again.

Superb Technology!
As a audio-videophile,I have been a fan and purchaser of several Pioneer Elite products.I can say that this tape deck offers the best recording, at any price for the analog format. All Elite products use higher gradecomponents,with high-end looks. This tape deck uses digitalprocessing,using Pioneers Patented Legato-Link Conversion DAC's,to createstunning recordings, that in my opinion are just as goon asmini-disk.!(when using a high grade tape). The features offered on thismodel are extensive,(see pioneers web site for details),and they workflawlessly.Though this is a high price for a tape deck,the performance andlooks of this unit justify its cost.The powered doors are a big plus in atape deck in this price range!Though I have a CD and mini disk recorder,Istill love tapes,and this model will let you record beautiful copies andbring life back into older tapes using Pioneers FLEX system. This uses acomputer chip and digital signal processing to eliminate hiss and tapedegradation in older tapes.I strongly recommend this tape deck!
