First Rate Product!!
I borrowed a friend's Foretrex 201 on a vacation and was immediately impressed with the ease of use and flexibility in being able to customize the unit to your particular needs.I immediately bought one when I returned!!I preferred the 101 over the 201 due to the fact that since I was camping, recharging was an issue.It is certainly easy enough to carry a few spare AAA's with you.

Discontinued But Still Nice
GPS technology changes so fast, it can be mind-boggling keeping up.When this unit was first released around four years ago, it was ahead of its time.Its ruggedness, integrated compass, altimeter, and barometer made it an excellent navigational tool.
MNS For Mountain Hiking
I have used the MNS for about a year hiking in the mountains of Colorado. I decided I needed a GPS because I started climbing mountains without well-defined trails; I climbed the wrong mountain several times. Good but poor documentation
We been using this GPS unit to measure our horse rides.The display is a bit difficult to read while riding.The documentation clarifies very little and is not in depth at all.Scrolling through the various modes can be tedious.It does keep track of avg speed and max speed.We've yet to figure out how to easily start a new lap.
Absolutely wonderful
Folks, if there's anybody out there thinking of getting fit, breathing in some good air and maybe lose a pound or two, one of the best ways is to get out on your 2 pins.The problem i've always had is a little lack of motivation.With this gadget, everything changes.Knowing down to the exact yard what kind of progress you're making does wonders for your motivation.....you'll even be getting those training shoes on when it's minus 2 and snowing a blizzard!I can't recommend this device enough, go out and get one.

Boy scouts, get a real compass
I bought this thing for about $20 plus shipping from Homeland. It has a 12/24 digital display, which is easy to see, it tells yopu what day it is, and that part is easy to read. It has an alarm that has never failed to wake me up, and a light you can press to see what time it is at night. think againbefore you buy it
My wife bought this watch in Feb 2003. I liked it at the first sight. However, the alarm kept ringing till the battery was running out. And then I opened te case and changed it. The inside looked pretty bad. Moreover, the alarm doesn't work anymore and the casin g is easy to peel off . The last thing I want to mention is that the warranty is only 90 days. (I guess there will be something wrong in you watch after that time). This compass watch is lost!
I scanned a host of web sites looking for an economical compass watch.This watch looked great on the web site and I liked the options so I ordered.Well, Oregon Scientific sent the wrong one.We started over.As another reviewer noted, the chrome effect wore off fairly quickly.I was frustrated because the LED was nearly impossible to read without turning my wrist for a 'straight-on' reading.To my chagrin, while changing the watch band the LED went flat and disappeared altogether.So much for a watch that lasted less than a year.Get a real compass and find another watch. ... Another AT-65 substitution
Unfortunately, I too received a switched item (at-65)in a sealed Magellan box today.Jennifer in Customer service assured me that they will refund the purchase and that they will investigate the stock they have.She was very apologetic and helpful.
