excellent product
I went to Best Buy to test all the outdoor speakers in person, and these did better than the BOSE and other high end brands. These are the best speakers for the money. They have great high and mid range sound, but lack much bass, which is to be expected with most outdoor speakers with speakers smaller than 4". If you have the money ($400+) go with the Klipsch speakers. These are the best alternative.

JBL Northridge speakers

Excellent Speakers.
I had a chance to listen to these little speakers at a friend's house and I liked them very much. They had distinctive high ends that could only be found from JBL speakers. The midrange was pretty smooth and clear but obviously there was not much bass from the small 4" drivers. Because of their flexible on-wall mounting/positioning and since each of them also has a 3/4" Titanium-laminate tweeter as the E-series speakers, I planned to buy a pair of them to use as surround back speakers in my 7.1 speaker system which consists of all E-series speakers. However, when I contacted JBL's technical supports, I was told that the N24AWII's were very close timbre-match but not perfect match for the E-series speakers and that I would better use the E10's instead if I wanted perfect tonal match for my speaker system. I think I will get the E10's but the E10's can't be mounted on the wall as easily and as flexibly as the N24AWII. ... Read more

Works Great
I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm using them with a Pioneer receiver and after figuring out where all the cords go, the speakers are fantastic. For their size and price they are outstanding. I ran into a little trouble when I began assembling the stands (also Athena) and found that a few screws and a clamp were not the right size or such. I emailed Athena and they mailed the proper parts out right away (for free).

After spending about one month researching various audiophile review sites I took the plunge on a very low priced system which includes a Panasonic XR55 Receiver and the Athena Micra speaker package.[...]

These speakers work great!If you need neither absolute top of the line nor an array of speakers surrounding you, these are the best.Great highs and midrange and surprizing bass, even from the satellites.And they look oh, so classy...

I had read a favorable online review of this satellite - sub combo and made the purchase since the price was a real attraction. I have not been disappointed. At this time, I have this set up both at home with a laptop base station for everyday satellite radio/Itunes listening and also at my work station. With the sub hidden under the desk and two small satellites flanking my PC, I can fade in and out of reality during my stressful work day while listening to XM Radio- I get comments from nearly everyone that comes in - it just sounds that good at low to medium volume. When prices are this competitive, you can't go wrong. Gone are the days of my big cabinet speakers.

If you're looking for a nice set of computer speakers that will give you great bass and great overall sound, then definitely get these. WOW... a value plus extreme proformance!!
Okay, I know the name brand isn't well known in the industry but here is some high quality stuff. The sub can handle up to 750 watts. This package is one of the best. I went to Circuit city to get a sub plus an amp installed. Then I found out that needed the wires and the power supply and a whole mess of other stuff. They wanted 350 for an 8" sub with a wimpy built in amp and that's w/o installation. Total waste. I went on Amazon and got this package and had it professional installed for only 180!! Music to my ears
I bought these from FRYS hence paid a bit more - but beleive me its worth every cent and now at less than $250, its a steal. I have paired the Infinity speaker system with the ONKYO TX-SR603X receiver and together they produce incredible sound. And is great for CDs too, i use the "unplugged" setting on the receiver to get clear, crisp sound for music. Get this pair and treat your ears to sound!

Great Bass, Great Package
I paired the TSS 450 with the new Harman/Kardon AVR230 (Which I highly reccommend, even though Amazon is not offering it yet).They provide great (and plentiful) wiring, which is atypical of $400 speakers.They come with adjustable mounting brackets, another plus that most other systems dont have.They are tiny surrounds (think soup can, though wider) and sound very crisp.I've only had them a little while, but they sound perfect listening to Lords of the Rings or playing PS2! The center channel is powerful and super-clear.This is my first surround system, so i'm shocked at how much better I can here voices during movies!The other thing I like is the Center has two-midranges and is positioned horizontally, which makes it fit much better on top of my WEGA :-) ... Polk SurroundBar vs Yamaha YSP-1000
My Home Theatre was a reasonable system by any measure and better than most. However, my wife re-arranged the living room furniture and in one stroke my cherished system was made redundant. My two rear wall mounted speakers were now on my left and with no possibility to be mounted somewhere else.

Purchased the surround bar about 3 weeks ago. Very nice sounds.. I'm happy with it - with one reservation.

Good system for the price
Sound is very good for the price, especially after replacing the worthless speaker wires with some decent 12 gauge ones.The sound difference is very audible.

great value!!
I have had this for about a month now and let mesay that I am verry pleases with the performance of this product. The surround speakers are pushed nicely by my Harman Kardon AVR 135. The self powwered sub is my favorite part of the set up because i just love loud bass!!! It has its own volume control so you can actually set it for your prefference. This system sounds great and you will be greatly pleased with this purchase.

Great Sound from HK
What could be better than quality sound from a major audio brand name. These speakers offer plenty of sound, clean sound, and can take lots of power from a high power reciever. These speakers can take between 10-80 watts based on the HK fact sheet, and the sub is 100 watts, powered, 10 inches, which plugs into it's own electrical outlet. The speakers are sleak, not too large in terms of the satelites, but the sub is larger than it looks in the photo. This is not going to fit NEXT to your TV as the smaller HTIB system subs might, it needs it's own corner of the room.
Awesome set of Speakers
I have never bought Home Theater Speaker's before so my opinion might not matter much.These speakers sound very crisp and clear. The subwoofer that comes with this system has a lot of bass and rattles the whole house.The wall mounts are perfect but I upgraded my speaker wire to 12 gauge and I had difficulty getting the wire through the wall mounts.Other than that the speakers are excellent.If your live with someone, be prepared for them to complain that the speakers are to loud

I bought this system because I have a H/K 235 receiver which I love and I am on a budget.Overall, this system is very crisp compared to most satellite systems I've heard.The subwoofer is also excellent, producing booming sound for most users.If you're set on a satellite system, this is very good system worth your consideration - likely much better than most of the mass-market brands (Sony, Panasonic, etc). ...
