Athena As-C1.2 Center is a great and secure buy!! Clear dialogue
I had been looking to replace my B&W center speaker for 2 reasons: 1. It was too big, and 2. it did not perform as well as i had hoped. I have 2 athena F2s for my fronts and 2 athena B2.2s for my rears. I have an Athena P-4000 subwoofer and now the C1.2 for my center channel and i could not be more pleased. Not only does it outperform speakers that are 10 times more expensive it plaYS FANTASTIC CLEAR DIALOGUE!! I have heard complaints and worries from consumers who are unsure if this will perform up to standards with the F2s or F2.2s. WELL IT WILL AND MORE!! Dont hesitate, you will be satisfied and it matches up so well with all of the other athena speakers.And once you reach the suggested 50 hour break-in point, it sounds even better!! I bought these speakers for my portable DVD.Kids could not hear the DVD player in my van with the road and air conditioner noise.These speakers work great.Well worth the money.

Sure they rattle, but they're the lightest speakers around for the price
these are cheap speakers, not doubt about that. the plastic is cheap, the connections, everything. BUT! they do have pretty good sound for how light they are, come with a nice carry case, can be powered by a usb cord (very handy for computer users), and if you don't like the rattle, it generally doesn't actually come from the speaker itself, but rather the really cheap housing on the main speaker, so just put a book on top of it or something, because the reason main speaker rattles is that these things are so light, they literally jump around if you turn the base up (which sounds alright if you get rid of the rattling), and the speakers aren't maxed out. hope this helps- ... Boom with the big boys
When I first plugged up the woofer and turned it on, I thought I had been "HAD".Boy was I wrong.This sub does the trick and more. It did not sound very good when I first started playing it but after a short but very important break in period, this things will rattle pictures off the walls.I look all over for a replacement sub after my 500.00 dollar Polk died after only 4 mild years. The Athena in my opion is worth every bit of the selling price.Trust me you will have to keep this thing turned down, because it does BOOM.

first off, this thing is huge, but to go along with its huge size is its huge sound. this thing gave me everything i was looking for. and the lows are awsome.this thing truly delivers and you wont be dissapointed

My living room is about 450 sq.ft so I chose to get the ASP6000 instead of the ASP4000. IMO, for a 100 dollars more, you are getting more power (200W RMS, 800W peak) and a much better amplifier (BASH Amp - BASH amps are also used in the SVS series subwoofers and are highly acclaimed).

Great Speakers!
Klipsch is the best manufacturer of speakers ever... period. Anyway, these speakers are absolutely amazing. They produce perfect, clean sound through all volumes and most frequencies. They work very well with a entire system, but would also work well just by themselves. They produce quite a bit of bass for their size, but also can produce very high, clear frequencies. These are the best speakers for the money... hands down!

Little Klipsch Big Sound
I've owned Klipsches in the past and have been quite happy with them except that the older Heritage series: the big Forte's and the small Heresy 'end table' like floors did not like the big bright amps that I was using the idea being that when these were developed most of the decent equipment out there was low-power tubes. A friend of mine also had the same brightness problem with his Forte's and got rid of his which is what I reluctantly did too and it was another 10 years before I ventured rather successfully back into the realm of horn speakers with this model. I do miss my Forte's though.
