the price went up
In case you are wondering, this card(info not given) is the Philips Seismic Edge 5.1.It has 96 3d voices and 256 direct sound voices(not 64-3d, 128 voices as in the discription.)I ordered it just to take a chance on it being the card I suspected it to be.It is.It is a 5.1 sound card, but the info is incorrect, it should say 96-3d voices and 256 d3d.Read more

Very good value
I have not used very expensive cards like the audigy.A sound card needs to really only make decent sound and allow for decent mic recording.This card goes above and beyond.For a price less than a basic sound blaster 16, you get surround sound, very high sound quality and numerous other features all in a working package.I bought this becuase I was having problems with the sound that came with my comp, and it solved every one of them.I don't use surround sound, but judging by how the rest of this card functions, im sure it works very well.Read more

Best Soundcard EVER!!
When I first used this soundcard under Win98, it was difficult to install at first, but after downloading the latest driver, it worked fine. I was really impressed with the sound quality of this card and the games packaged with it(especially Unreal Tournament). The sound from playing my DVD movies on my computer is outstanding! This card works great under WINDOWS XP Professional because you do not have to install any drivers for it since XP sets it up automatically and painlessly! Overall, I think this soundcard was a great purchase. Well worth the money spent. Decent but better choices exist. Incompatibility problems!
The X-Gamer is a very decent card.Pretty good sound quality.DVD's play okay, games are okay, the only thing that's really great about the card is the sound quality in DOS but not a lot of people have applications in DOS.For the same price, there are many better choices out there currently which have much better sound quality in recording and playback. Must have for games or DVD
Wire this baby into your stereo, and you'll definitely notice the difference between good sound cards and the bad ones.This card is excellent although it is a little expensive due to the market strength of sound blaster.The included games give this package a little more value.The digital output is great if you have the equipment for it.At maximum volume, I don't even notice distortions (of course you need your speakers to perform too). ... Check your turntable before you buy this
I bought the XP201 to use as a preamp for converting my vinyl records to CDs. Initially this requires connecting the turntable to the XP201. However, the unit WILL NOT WORK if your TT already has a pre amp built in and you cannot turn the pre amp in the TT off. I learned this the hard way.

It simply doesn't work
Spent 2 hours one day on my own installing, and then 2 hours the next day with Motorola on the phone, changed all settings, downloaded updates, tried everything.It simply doesn't work.The Motorola tech support said "this product is not user friendly!

Hot Stuff
But when the rubber "hit's the road",the Kima, at $40 does the job equally well. The Kima transmits in analog of course, but you'd be suprised how little the difference is noticed.

Some flaws, but does what it is supposed to do
Does what it is supposed to do: Allows you to listen to mp3's and streaming internet radio on your stereo. The interface is not perfect, mostly because it is a pain to page through every single artist or album (in alphabetic order) to get to the one you want. Read more

Cheap card for the really budget conscious
Wake up guys, all this card can output is two stereo, that is to explain simply left & right signal at your front jack and left & right signal at your rear jack. No point in using any fancy dvd decoder software with this card, it will only burst your bubble. I sold mines and bought the Fortissimo II, it does the real thing.

Passes DTS and AC3 from Toslink
I had a hercules game theater, but it had trouble passing AC3 and did not pass DTS at all. I got this sound card and find it to be great. No more annoying pops, and it passes the DTS signal using PowerDVD

Don't Plan On Using This For Games
When I first put this card in I was impressed with the sound quality. If your buying this for music or just to plug it into your stereo, it does a good job. If you wish to install and play games go elsewhere. It likes to lock up on most games. ... Read more

you get what you pay for
i saw this being sold for 20 bucks and i was a little skeptical cause of the low price.so i went home did a little research on it and decided to buy and try it out.initially i thought i thought i was pretty good.Installation was easy.I didn't have problems with replacing my previous sound card, and there were windows ME drivers on the cd provided.The sound kinda sounded choppy but the surround sound actually worked when i played CS.But I realized i couldn't get two sounds at once anymore.Before i could listen to winamp and play another wav file at the same time.. but it didn't work anymore.Muse also drained my cpu.if i tried loading up a program, while playing a mp3, the song would get choppy.i downloaded the most recent directx drives and i still had all the problems.Running a pentium 3 666 i didn't think i'd have the problems, but i was wrong.After removing the sound card and using my old one, i didn't have anymore problems.I figure if you have a super computer this would work fine.But for me, i returned it.Try it out though, it may work for your computer.

The Card is great, but what's up with Guillemot
This card is great.For the price you can't be it.Granted it isn't a Dolby 5.1 card, but for everyday multimedia you cannot get a better card for the money. Great value
