5-0 out of 5 stars Best PDA!
I am sad that Sony is no longer in the PDA business. This is one of the best PDAs of its time.I've had it for several years and still use it.It combines all the features I need, plus more. The keyboard is the main reason I purchased it- very easy to use and illuminates.I also love the ability to check email and surf the web, snap quick pictures, read files, and listen to music and audiobooks. The battery life is not the best, but there are lots of accessories and there is an extended battery. It comes loaded with applications and games. The screen is a nice size.I still get questions and compliments on it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Hoorah for the UX50!!!
Finally, a handheld that offers everything built-in that is extra with most other handhelds! Surf the net, take a picture, and play games, as well as a built-in keyboard. I LOVE this Clie.

5-0 out of 5 stars Still doing its job after 3 years!
I have carried this PDA in my front pocket for three years. After numerous collisions with furniture and such, it still works as new. The metal case and folding design keep me from replacing this with a newer PDA. My only complaint would be the lack of Mac support.

5-0 out of 5 stars Long-term fan of CLIE NX70V
I just had to put in a good word for this product. I've had it for 2 and a half years and it keeps me sane. I love all the bells and whistles that go along with it- i'm always able to keep busy during "downtime". From pic and vid capability, to the mp3 player (and voice recording), to email, to scheduling and various Palm related tools- this product has been well worth the investment!

2-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA if the backlight doesn't burn out
I've had my PDA for about a year and never had a major problem however one month after the extended warantee expired my backlight burned out.The color screen is useless without it.This is a chronic problem with the sony Clie's.They offer very little support for this problem if your expensive pda burns out.A know design flaw that cost as much as the pda to fix.Don't buy a sony Clie if you can't afford to replace the unit after a year.

1-0 out of 5 stars Unreliable junk
This is one of the worst products of any kind that I have ever bought in my entire life. My first one lost power after a month, even though it was charged and never came back on. They tried a new battery, but the gizmo was dead. So, I got the replacement. Heck, there can be a bad apple in every barrel.

5-0 out of 5 stars Long Term All Star
I have my Sony Clie PEG SJ22 for about four years now, and it's worked perfectly and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good used or nearly new similar unit.
4-0 out of 5 stars Some durability issues, but still a fair device
At the time this device was new, it was ahead of the game, pricewise and technology wise. Then palm came out with the 505, and now the palm 5.0 software and sony got out of the market quickly after only about 3 years.I have had this handheld for a little over 2 years now, and it has done it's work.It does have a nice bright color display, decent for display of a picture in the photo gallary. It has the capability to run some programs from the memory stick, although I do not recommend getting a memory stick abouve 32mb becuase it takes forever to access programs on my 128mb card, often to were the handheld shuts off before I can open the program. Also, the charger for the battery tends to wear out after a couple years, so the handheld will look like it's charging, but not charge at all. My office had bought about 20 of these, and a few have had problem with Infrared beaming, and mine the on/off button does not work.Unfortunately, these were referbished models at the time, so who knows if the durability issue it the model or the referbished.I do know some people with the fancier models that have had better long term luck. Finally, this handheld has limited internal memory compaired to new models (16mb), this can be difficult to update some applications on (epocrates for one). If their is an online update, I often find myself having to manually erase some of the old files on the handheld to free up enough space for it to accept the updated program. But, for the time it came out, it was king. This item would be good for someone who wants a electronic calendar/datebook, also to carry a couple of pictures with them, but the business professional sould look towards the newer technology.

4-0 out of 5 stars No Handwriting pad
I switched over to the SJ22 after several problems with my Palm III. Palm support gave me grief on replacing it and finally it just died. Only had it 4 months.Warranty was 90 days. So I purchase this Clie.I love it.It has been dependable and and the battery life has improved with age.Hard to believe but it did. The first 6 months I had to charge often. Once I lost all data, because I didn't charge each night. I even purchased a car charger in order to use it on the go. Now It stays charged for 3 days and never gone below 50% and I rarely use the car charger.

5-0 out of 5 stars Maybe I'm Just Lucky
I've carried my TJ35 for about 2 years after my Palm M130 died suddenly. The Sony spends nearly all of its time in my pocket with my change and keys...not a great environment for a high-tech toy.
5-0 out of 5 stars PEG TJ35 is a good PDA
Despite all the reviews I read about this pda being nothing but problems, I went ahead and bought mine.I have not had one ounce of problem out of it.I first started using it at work to keep track of information that I would need on a daily basis and boy did it help a LOT!I love this pda, MP3 playback, fast transfer rate using the supplied USB cable, and it charges very fast!My mom has an older Sony Clie' and I like mine a whole better. So if you are in the market of getting one, I would definately recommend this pda.

2-0 out of 5 stars Sony CLIE PEG-TJ35/U from Tech for Less
I recently returned my reboxed Sony CLIE PEG-TJ35/U from Tech for Less.PalmOS 5.1 caused some of my repair tracking programs to not work so I returned it within four days.Tech for Less charges a 20% restocking fee; fair enough but I asked to defer that until I can research which older Palm OS will work.

5-0 out of 5 stars This PDA Is Excellent
I just bought this PDA and it is everything I could hope for.Sony struck a pot of gold with this one.Get a memory card (128 mb maybe) and you have enough memory for thousands of applications.I had trouble with Sonic Stage, but I am assuming I can figure it out. The camera works great. The keyboard is not good with numbers, but you can use the on screen one for that.If you have any further questions e-mail me at ryanj0@belleville.k12.wi.us

5-0 out of 5 stars Super PDA for the Price
My wife bought this for me and I love it! The previous PDAs I have owned were not nearly as high tech. I certainly could not say more about the wonderful camera features than the other reviewer. As for all the other features all I can say is they work great. I have had mine about six months now and I have used them all and I have not had any problems. I mainly use it for my DVD and CD databases and games, but all the capabilities are amazing. I also highly recommend getting the Belkin USB Sync/Charge cable. It sure beats using a Sync/Charge Cradle since it is easy to carry anywhere.

4-0 out of 5 stars Ahead of its time.....
Back when this Clie came out, it was the first with integrated keyboard and a built-in digital camera. Two years later, it is still ahead of many handheld devices! One neat feature: remote controller!MP3 player is another nice feature, so check out the used Clie's. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA!!
This is the best PDA i have ever owned! It is versatile, with its unique jog dial, I can select and scroll thru documents with ease, it has a long battery life - between 7 to 12 days for me, if I do not surf the net. The screen is good sized with great colors and resolution.
3-0 out of 5 stars Good product, problems over time
I have had the PEG-TH55 for almost two years now. I have to say that it is a great product, but over time I have had some very frustrating problems.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best PDA? As close as you can get!
The Sony Clie PEG-TH55/U (otherwise known simply as the TH55) is my third PDA. After upgrading to the TH55 after one year with the Clie PEG-SJ22 and six months before that with the Palm Zire, I am not going to switch anytime soon. All of the features I ever wanted in a PDA are crammed into this thin package. The huge screen, tiny profile, and great memory capacity are only the beginning.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best PDA I've Owned

4-0 out of 5 stars So far so good...but
I bought this refurbished and have been pretty happy with it. It is my first PDA. But I have had a couple of problems - the flimsy cover which keeps coming off...and then this mysterious backlight which everyone keeps talking about. Where is this backlight? I have not been able to find it in any manual. The only thing I know is you can adjust the contrast but that's it. Thanks!

5-0 out of 5 stars this is great!
...Anyway, I love my 415!It is tiny so easy to carry. It's got a good solid feel to it (just heavy enough to feel good but not too heavy). The resolution is awesome, the buttons are great (it is hard to turn on accidentally), the clie programs are good (clie remote is sooo cool!), and it'sgot a jog-wheel.I like my clie a lot better than my palm, plus it looks cooler (!) and is smaller than anything else I've seen.4-0 out of 5 stars Does what I need it to do
The backlighting could be better and if I had to do it again I'd probably buy a color PDA.But overall, I've been pleased with the T415.It does everything I want, it's thin and lightweight, takes a beating (can't tell you how many times I've dropped the thing), and the battery lasts FOREVER.I use it every day and I charge the battery *maybe* once a month. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars I like it...
    Hey ppl
1-0 out of 5 stars Surprised
I purchased a refurbished clie PEG-SJ30 and the keyboard was not working.A month and a half later after different instructions from three different service technicians at SONY, I am still waiting for my Clie to be repaired and returned to me.I would advise you to be cautious before purchasing refurbished products.
4-0 out of 5 stars A good product with a few grievances
I own this PDA and love it.I work as a nurse and this PDA allows me to carry several reference books and nursing "tools" even without an extra memory chip.I also have several games for downtime fun.The screen is capable of displaying high quality graphics. However, sometimes the super sharp graphic version of a game/program might run slower than I would like. The personal organization software that comes with the unit is my favorite part of the whole deal.It turned my laptop into my personal organizer and you can download your whole schedule to your PDA for later reference. Most software runs without problems on the unit.I've only had difficulty with some of the oldest palm programs (most of which you would not want to use anyhow).Once you are ready to expand your memory you can use Sony's generic memory chips....up to 128 megs I believe. So long as Sony keeps using those for their cameras and other products those chips will remain available.

I have had a pda since the early '90's..Casio Boss to all the early palms, but I love my tg50.The keyboard is great..grafitti is slow and hard to learn, especially numerals. You definitely need a memory stick and a sturdy case.
5-0 out of 5 stars Not the best handheld, but it is still my choice.
The TG50 is not the best Clie, but it is my top choice. I bought it when it first came out, and I broke the motherboard by having it in my bag. I loved it so much I ordered another one on ebay for $110.

4-0 out of 5 stars Big screen, keyboard, clamshell, 1.3 mp camera, cool right?
There is no Bluetooth or WiFi built in. So be prepared to pay about $130 for the WiFi card (which takes the Compact Flash slot). The CF slot is a cool feature, and it being retractable saves space, but the slot can't close with a card in it. It doesn't look as good as my TG50, and the keyboard keys are way to flat and small. My fingers rub right over them. The screen is amazing. It looks so crisp and clear. You can see it outside with no problem. The camera looks very good outside also. It looks like it is 3mp sometimes. The "Capture Light" is more like a flash light, and I use it for that :). The IR port is in a bad place, half is on the side, half on the top. It is annoying when using Clie remote, which allows you to control TVs, VCRs, DVD players, and amps from a variety of brands. The jog dial is cool, and it is better than the 5-way navigator on this size device. The size of this Clie is annoying. It is 8 ounces! 3 ounces bigger than my TG50.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best PDAs in the market
I've been using my Sony Clie NX80V since a year, and is still impressive the performance of this palm... the swivel screen allows you to use this like a normal PDA or like a laptop, an even better with its small keyboard, convenient for thumb fingers or small hands. I also found amazing the dual (CF and MemoryStick) card reader, and if you buy the WiFi CF card for Clie, you can do everything with this handheld. Besides, it has a lot of convenient software, like the Picsel viewer and NetFront browser. The only software I added is DocumentsToGo, and I can edit my .doc and .xls files (even simple PowerPoint presentations), and still view it in my PC when I plug my Clie to it. The screen is huge, brillant with its wonderful shrinkable Graffiti area, that allows you to add direct access to many applications you use often. Finally the camera is really great (I haven't seen any PDA with a 1.3M pixels built-in camera... and fast), and Sony knows how to make it look beautiful, including the cradle, and the MP3 player sound great, and much better with the hand controller.
5-0 out of 5 stars Say Goodbye To Sony's US and European PDA Market
I love my Sony Clie, PEG NX80V.I bought it less than a year ago, and the resolution, screensize and vivid display still astound my associates. The performance is quick for PDAs made in 2003, and the product is still superior in technology when compared to most of todays sales.I have to complain that Sony stopped offering online updates (drivers, patches, etc) for this product less than 7 months after releasing it. Now, after current stocks run out, Sony will retreat to ASIA, where they are selling the latest PDA, it's really going to blow you away.

5-0 out of 5 stars This one is worth it!!!
Since 2001, I have had a Palm M100, 105, 500, Clie SJ-22, and now the SJ-33.This isn't a pocket pc, but I love mine and would highly recommend it--especially if you don't mind the fact that Sony doesn't make them anymore.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Palm I have ever owned
I am a long time palm user. First the Palm IIIC, then the Palm m500, then the Sony Clie SJ-22 and now the Sony Clie SJ-33.
1-0 out of 5 stars Sony support nonexistant
If sony could get a zero, I would give them a zero.Sony has no concept of giving their customers any after purchase support. The battery on this clie has never held a decent charge.Due to my work, I am not able to leave it plugged in all day; so I tried to find a car charger. No one had one not even sony and their support never emailed me back.I decided to replace the battery and once again no one had a replacement, and sony was non responsive.I guess by halting support of their clies sony believes that everyone will have to buy a psp.NOT ME! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars STILL a great value
The S-360 is a low-level PDA and an excellent value. I got mine in June of 2002, and it still works lik a charm. The SJ360 isn't flashy or colorful like some pocket PC (it's processor and monochrome screen are obviously below the task), but it handles functions like calendar, to-do, e-mail and phone-book, as well as allowing a big area for memos for whatever comes to mind. It's incredibly thin and light - much more so than the Visor Handspring I bought my wife the year before. It comes with 16MB of RAM, though it includes a slot for memory-sticks (which I haven't tried yet). Though using the same operating system as the Palm Pilot, Clies come with something unique, a jog-wheel - a wheel on the side that allows you to scroll through information while holding the unit with one hand. (I keep reaching for the wheel whenever using my wife's Visor.) Like similar PDAs, you can "Hotsync" to your computer - an absolute must (more on that in a sec). Using Hotsync, you can download the contents of your Clie for safekeeping. Hotsync works both ways - and you can download to your Palm information you've updated on your computer (saving you the trouble of having to do the same using the PDA's somewhat annoying interface). Installing the software on my XP computer was effortless, and with a USB cable, a typical Hotsync takes only a few seconds - so fast, you won't even miss that Hotsync cradle. I bought mine for the fun of having a new gadget, and now can't imagine leaving home without it.And again, that was back in 2002.5-0 out of 5 stars Best pda for under 150
I have used other pda's from the time they came out.It always frustrated me that it was hard to easily navigate menus and the stylus wasnt very responsive.Ever since I got this model I have had no problems. The hotsync works very well and never misses any files as I have had before. One of the best features is the large memory allowing me to store my documents and contacts easily and not worrying of going over the limit. If this is your first pda then I would get it because it is reliable and simple to use.

1-0 out of 5 stars Seller Maliciously Falsified Product Information-ON PURPOSE
I ordered a Sony Clie Handheld from this seller and he intentionally didn't list that the item is unusable, irrepairable, and worthless. After purchasing the item the seller stated this: "the sony clie has already been sent. As mentioned, it has not been tested and the screen is fixable by sony. go to sonystyle.com for more info."Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars 4 1/2 Stars- Very Good PDA
This PDA is very functional and easy-to-use. It stores quite a bit of memory, and the features are very nice and useful. The only things that I disliked were that it is black & white (though color PDAs were hardly on the market when I bought it), and that sometimes the font is very small and I couldn't find a way to change that. It provides a great memo pad, Paint program, and photo viewer. You can also add creative touches to your downloaded pics using the paint program, which proved to be entertaining. You can also get great features and downloadables for this PDA, which is a slightly older model. I would definitely reccommend the sony CLIE PEG-SL10 Handheld!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA...Disadvantages though
I bought this PDA a few months after it was released. I was happy with it except a few things. I didn't like that it was B&W or that is was not rechargable. There was alot todo with it until almost all the pda's on the market went Color then the software was limited. I really like the functionality and the features. But now I have updated. I would recomment going for the Song SJ22 for a little more money. Tis color and recharagable and alot more funtional.

4-0 out of 5 stars Combines Basic Organizer Functions With A Hi-Res B/W Display
This is the third PDA I've owned, but my first CLIE. After my Palm Vx's screen broke, I decided to upgrade to the color Palm m130. About 6 months later it stopped functioning and I decided to just forget about returning it and throw it out because I really didn't like it all that much anyway. So I decided to shop for a third PDA. I wanted something small, light, and inexpensive; something to use just as an organizer. I was thinking about a Palm Zire, but while looking on eBay I found the CLIE PEG-SL10 in brand-new condition for half the price. I bought it, and was pleasantly surprised at what I got. I didn't know when I bought it that it used AAA batteries instead of rechargeable batteries. I was a little disappointed at first, but I found later when going on vacation it was much easier to bring an extra set of batteries than a charger cable. The high-resolution display is great. Text comes out clear and easy to read. I sort of miss the color display of my old m130, but the hi-res makes up for that. The included 8MB of RAM is more than enough for storing contacts, memos, and date book entries. I even had enough room left for JPEG pictures I transferred from my computer using the included software. While I never bought a memory stick to expand the memory, that feature would be useful for people who want to store photos, video (with included gMovie software), or games. Wh
