Great analog radio-beats the competition!
Of all the analog multi band radios out there , this is the best buy . I have compared this to the Sony SW11 and the Sangean Sg 622 which are its equivalents . There is no comparison as far as tuner selectivity goes , especially on SW . The Sangean sounds very good but this radio has an edge . It has FM stereo , a telescoping antenna and a tone switch . In performance tests it clearly was better that the Sony and the Sangean . I have even found this radio to perform better than the Grundig g2000a , the yb 300pe and the Sony SW35 and 40 as far as tuner sensativity and overall performance are concerned ( and these are digital radios!!!) . If you can find it , buy it! You will be surprised and pleased. ... Read more

2 way radio
I think the Kenwood model ubz-gm14 2 way radio is one of the better ones for the money.I just got mine about two weeks ago and its great.It has a good range, has a good weight, and buttons are in a good arangement. It has the NOAA weather chanel option and gives sheet telling all of them in the USA and Canada. The LCD screen is easy to see and the light on it makes it for good night use.Its good for any where were u need to cheap in touch at sport events, malls, or on a skiing mountain. ... Read more

This clock is CHEAP and it has everything I need!
Only reason I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is that the weather alert doesn't work in my location. Other than that, this clock has met my every expectation. I love the days of week feature. On other clocks this has been numbers, on this it is the actual days - so I am never confused as to which day '1' is. I wake to the brooks nature sound and it is just fine for me. When I have had CD/Radio alarm clocks in the past - I can count on one finger the number of times I actually listened to the radio or CD on it. So why pay extra for the feature? I truly believe that this product has gotten such poor reviews because the people that write are normally unhappy people.This clock is cheap AND wonderful!Enjoy...

Not as nice as the large one
I wish I had read the feature list a little more carefully.I already own a pair (one for my wife one for me) of the larger timex clock radios with the analog and digital clock. (T318ST)I am fairly pleased with them.I liked the idea of having on-demand weather, so I ordered one of these.I was shocked at the small size when I opened the box, but because I was interested in the on-demand weather feature I spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out. I couldn't get it to work.While trying to get the on-demand weather to work, I thought I might try to get the radio to tune in.Hey wait a minute, no radio?!?Oops, guess I will look a little harder before ordering next time.

User's Manual
This is a great tool, especially here in Florida.Lots of activity and lots of "HURRICANES."Great to find the user's manual on line as mine was lost in the move to Florida.Would not be without a weather radio with these features.

Great little weather radio
I bought this Weaher radio after hours and hours of trying to find one that had a price that I could afford and the options (S.A.M.E.) that I wanted.I have to say that this radio has worked flawlessly.I went to the NOAA's website to get my county code, programmed it in and now I get nothing but alerts for the county I live in thanks to the S.A.M.E. technology. The NWS runs a Emergency Alert system test on it every Wednesday at 2:00pm in my area which lets me know that they are alive.It does take some playing around with to figure some things out, but nothing too complicated. This is a great weather radio and I highly recommend it.

Poor Quality manufacture
The wall-wart power supply was of poor quality, and on weaker signals there was an audible AC hum.When switching from Wx Radio to FM Broadcast below 93 Mhz I usually got a loud buzzing instead of the radio station.The phase-locked loop (PLL) did not lock.Tuning above 93 Mhz and then down would allow reception but who wants a radio that acts that way.(I mostly listen to NPR at 91.1 Mhz.)The round "selector" dial was rough to operate and felt like a rusty wheel, requiring a little more force than necessary.Side volume control was rough in operation.As far as I can tell there was no way to actually turn it off, so if it were unplugged the batteries would exhaust themselves...Read more
