Fast, Darned Fast
I am used to faster network printers in the 30ppm range (which makes home printers seem slow). Then, this thing spits out at 45ppm. When it's dead, it's dead for good.
It is an OK printer while it is working. But when all three control lights start blinking (without any reasonable introduction), you should pretty much give up all your trouble shooting efforts. The "Help" section is worthless, just as the "Basics Guide" booklet. The bubble from the utility bar keeps referring to a craddle blockage that is simply not there...Would you wanna waste hours on the phone to get to technical assistance? The only reason I even remotely consider buying another HP printer, because now I am stuck with all the refill cartridges...

The Little-Big Printer!
Received printer as a gift and am I ever so Glad!!This little printer has a big heart.The photo qualities are about 90% compared to larger/laser printers. The slighest grain noticable... HOWEVER... This printer is outstanding...It is light, it is portable to take to picinics, family gatherings, car-trip vacations (perfect for printing photo-postcards!!!)
Good printer, but relatively high costs of consumables
I am happy with the quality of the pictures, but found that the cost of the Print Packs are high.Compared to Epson and Canon photo printers, the Olympus print packs cost a lot more.
Olympus P-10: Avoid it if you care about color
I bought a P-10 from a non-Amazon online seller. I was sold by the glowing reviews, including those on Amazon and in Consumer Reports. I was willing to put up with the very high per print cost for great color and for the durable coating offered by the dye-sub technology.

Nice, Cheap to use CD Printer
It does its job well.Prints simple designs.Allows you to work with fonts and is fairly cheap to use.The ribbons can be bought for $7.00 each (including tax and postage), and since I only print in one "area" (the top) I get close to 50 images from one ribbon.(47 to be exact -- I opened a used ribbon cassette and counted).Comes out to less than 15 cents a CD.Casio is up front about the number of images.The outside of their retail box states: "Each ink cassette allows printing of up to 40 areas".Their manual (which is available online -- so I read it before I bought the printer) states: "Number of Prints Per Ink Ribbon Cassette -- Upper or Lower Label Only; Approximately 40 prints -- Upper and Lower Label; Approximately 20 prints".The seven extra prints is an 18% bonus.When was the last time a company gave you more than they said they would?It does exactly what I bought it to do and does it well.I'm happy with it.

Disappointing
Not easy to set-up.White printable surface CD just doesn't work.Besides broken text printing, the ribbon leaves black smudges on the white surface.I can't find many gauzy surface CD type ready available in store to print on this machine.Most CD with some printing already on and slightly textured surface does not work at all.

Beware the hidden cost
I urge everyone to read N. Caine's review here. The printed discs look great, but this thing devours ink ribbons. Anyone who calls this an economical solution subscribes to a different theory of economics than I do.

USED IT HARD FOR 3 YEARS AND CAN'T KILL IT. :)
This is probably the most incredible & durable piece of electronic equiptment I've ever owned. It's like the Bunny in the battery commercials....keeps going...and going...and going.
5 years later
I bought this almost 5 years ago and it still works.the ink is too expensive, and the paper doesn't always feed right, but I've gone through a lot of other printers in the same period of time and this is the only one I still have and use. I travel with it and it gets banged around and has been dropped several times and otherwise abused.I was recently looking for a replacement--thinking that there should be something as good that is new and cheaper, but I was disappointed in everything I saw and I'm just going to keep using this one.It prints just fine (with some help) and is reliable.

Photo lab quality at home
This cp-220 printer was easy to set up and print photo lab quality pictures right on my kitchen table, without my computer. Only one concern: I wish that the 4x6 paper did not have the post card lines/address/stamp on the back.

My RX700 review
I've had this printer since xmas 2005. all that time I've had no problems what so ever and really have enjoyed owning it. I would call my self a power user as I do everything with this printer, not just photos.It's the first all in one printer on the market to print cd's. it says it does double sided printing but thats a big joke. If you click that button to print on both sides, it just prints it on one side and tells you to reload the paper so it can print on the other side. Ya right, thats double sided printing..Like you can't do that with any other printer... what ever.

the first epson I ever had that was a major problem
Had it for less than 2 weeks[actually had a second replacement from epson in that time too] and it just would not print photos correctly. The color was off. Finally after 3 phone calls, all lasting over an hour each, 3 e mails, epson decided that even though the photos were printing fine on the epson 960 model, the RX700 was so sophisticated that it was putting all the undetected color into the photosand saturating them with red.

Avoid this printer like the Plague!
I, as many others, was wooed by this printer due to its insanely low price. But unfortunately, that age-old saying is true: "you get what you pay for". It was great for a few days, with only the occasional paper jam, but after about a week... I cannot get a page to successfully load into the printer! If there are more than 5 pages in the tray, it takes all of the pages at once - and if there are less than 5 pages, it usually doesn't take anything. I feel deceived by HP!

Very good for the price
This is my first HP printer and i've had it seven months. I especially like the printing software. Unlike other reviewers, I've hadonly a very few paper jams. Other minor problems were easily resolved by reading the manuel or common sense problem solving.

Absolutely Positively the WORSE Printer I have ever owned. I have a feeling these other reviewers...no offense...havent owned and operated the printer long enough to make a valid appraisal. I have been using it (when it works) for 6 months and it sucks. I use it for trivial printing at this point...just to use up the ink ive invested in. After that....its in the trash. If anyone wants it...they can have it for the cost of shipping. I'll put it on amazons used sale list.

SEEMS TO WORK PRETTY GOOD
I bought this printer based on the reviews given below.I was trying to find a printer that was good quality and used lower cost ink cartridges.So it has been pretty good.I have used it since july of 2005 and it has performed well.Ink cartridges are much cheaper than my former HP photosmart printer p1000 i think that's what it was called.The only thing is i wished this printer had a paper exit tray.But anyway it has been very dependable and i like it.I would buy another one.gg

I replaced my Epson RX500 ($245.00) due to $$$ ink replacement and other issues, and I love this little printer!After almost five months of steady printing I'm replacing the black ink tank for the first time (about $7). It's a little rough on the paper feed but cranks documents out quickly. Photo quality is average for the price of this unit.However, compared to the enormous costs of the Epson ink tanks, this Canon has already paid for itself.I've printed out resumes, pictures, spreadsheets, and loads of emails on this machine.Well worth the price! ... Prints fine--uses unk quickly
This is my second ink printer for the current HP computer I own and it prints much quicker than the last printer. However, changing the ink every three months is a little often, in my opinion.

Not Too Bad with This Price
I purchased one recently, after comparing with HP's same level printer. This HL 5280DW has almost all the features of the HP's, yet has better memory and chip speed and lower price (only to have paid more before the new sale price). I followed the instructions on the CD and had no problem at all to have two of my laptops to communicate with the printer via my wireless network. It's been working pretty good so far. HP's is a name brand, but this Brother's product works fine, only with less cost to me.

Electrically unsound printer
We bought & returned this printer 3 times, just to make sure that the problem was really with the printer (and not with us).Turns out it's the printer.There is a SERIOUS ELECTRICAL DEFECT with this printer that we have never encountered with any other laser printer that we have ever owned.(We are in the computer business, and we deal with dozens of laser printers on a regular basis.)Whenever attempting to print from this printer, it creates such a surge of electricity that it causes a brief power outage in our entire office.We've plugged it into uninterruptible power supplies, we've plugged it into regular surge protectors, we've plugged it directly into the wall, we've plugged it into every electrical outlet that we could find. But no matter what we plug it into, we always get the same results.We also have 2 other laser printers in the office (both HP, FWIW) -- those laser printers work perfectly no matter where they are plugged in.Beware of this printer!

good printer - frustrating start-up (at least for me!)
I bought this printer for my wife and I to use. I wanted a fast laser printer with wi-fi connection and this printer fit the bill. My only source of frustration so far (after one month of ownership) was that the using the printer's easy installation and set-up software was a complete bust. The printer simply couldn't find my computer (I'm using a Mac with 10.4.5 OS X.). I followed all the steps repeatedly in the printed instruction manual, both with a wired and wi-fi connection, but to no avail. I thought I might have to send the printer back, but then I started wading through the much longer instruction manual that's included on the CD. Using this, I was able to create a connection with my Airport Extreme terminal using the controls directly on the printer itself. Because it was the weekend and the company's customer service is closed on weekends, it took me a ridiculously long time to figure this out - 6 hours easy. But since I did, the printer's worked like a charm. While my printer needs aren't particularly demanding, I'm happy with the print quality and speed.
