4-0 out of 5 stars great printer
affordable printer that prints a very good quality shot.i have particularly enjoyed working with black and white cartridges.a good buy indeed

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Printer
I got this printer not too long ago, and it has preformed pretty well so far.The pictures are good and it does not use too much ink, or so it appears.Again, the pictures are good quality, but they do take some time to dry. This might be because of the photo paper.I would suggest buying a usb cable as one is not included with the package. All in all, the cheap price and good pictures makes this a good photo printer.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice design... but the photo quality is strongly lacking
I was strongly considering buying this printer - until I saw my friend's prints she made with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars VERY PLEASED WITH PRINTER
Very happy with this printer. I am, always, concerned with quality performance. But, also with price. I wanted a photo printer that I could print right here at my computer and not have to go to some store to print out. So, the price of paper and printing film was a concern, too, but not to important for the low quantity I print. This printer was less than half price to purchase from Amazon.com, and the paper and film less than half price, too. So, I feel I am getting what I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. Can't beat that! Plus, the most important part, the prints are absolutely beautiful, every time. I recommend this printer and Amazon.com price and service.

5-0 out of 5 stars printers for dummies
This is the printer that I have been waiting for.It does exactly what I hoped for.The color is rich. The pics look as good or better than a processing house would do...and much quicker. Very simple to use, even I couldn't screw it up. Highly recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars Indistinguishable from photo lab prints
I was amazed at the quality of the prints from this little machine. The glossy coating makes it looks and feel like a print from a lab.The footprint is exceptionally small, the unit is fairly quiet, and the prints come out at roughly the 33 seconds the manufacturer said it would. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Epson RX580
This is my third Epson all-in-one.The first died due to a permanent ink clog. The second one died due to a permanent paper jam that caused the print head to bend the paper guide metal. Both Epson AIOs lasted less than two years.
3-0 out of 5 stars As advertised, but the colors are off
Yesterday I was so excited, I felt like a kid at Christmas!Today I'm not so happy. My previous printer was an Epson Stylus Photo 1280 which still sorta works some days when it feels like it.Loved that printer until it decided that it didn't like printing with black (yes, I did all the maint stuff a zillion times).Anyway... So far this printer prints photos that won't scratch, smear, or smudge. My 3 and 5 year olds made serious attempts at it and I must say the photos are very impressive that way.The printer is fast and not horribly loud.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great photos, but software too slow
We bought this printer several months back. It prints beautiful photos, generally well-balanced colors and of a good quality. The final layer is waterproof and fingerprintproof, so it is great for making prints to share with friends and family (especially kids)
4-0 out of 5 stars Amazing, fast results though not exactly Macintosh friendly
Everything about this printer is great, including the packaging.Though I am not one to be hung up on something as small as packaging, I would have to say they did an elegant job with this product. It even reminded me of similar packaging you would find in Apple brand products.Anyhow, setting this printer up on a Macintosh can be difficult. If you are running Mac OS X 10.4 you may need to download and install an updated version of the Common Unix Printing System, better known as Cups.Otherwise, you may be stuck with a "printer not responding" message. After I learned how to fix the printing issue everything was smooth sailing. For one, it's a dye thermal printer so you don't have any inkjet cartridges to become clogged resulting in bad prints. After sending the print command, It quickly sucks the paper back and forth four times, each time laying down a different layer of dye until your left with a final print which is indistinguishable from a lab quality print. One other issue is the fact that you have to set up your document using the Page Setup dialog box or your printer will somehow think you are printing on 8.5x11 or some other size that it doesn't accept.Be sure to set it to "Postcard" or "Poscard Borderless" AND set the page orientation.Anyhow, besides the couple small issues I am more than happy with this product. You can produce beautiful prints quickly and easily that will wow yourself and friends.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent for the price
This is great for families and amatuer photogs who want a quick way to see their work.As good as drug store prints and right when you want them.Software is easy to setup and use.Printer is quick and so far dependable.Be aware that when hooked to an xp pc, for some reason, the software switches the samsung to the default printer. So after a printing session check to make sure you're usual printer is on line again.Other than that small quirk, no problems at all. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Good printer
This is a good printer for the price.Print quality for normal print jobs is good, it has a small footprint, easy to use interface via a web browser, a dust cover over the paper tray, and the network connection is a lot better than having to connect directly to the PC (although you can do that if you wish). If you have more than one computer on a network at home, I would recommend this printer. The only thing I don't like about it is that you cannot specify custom paper sizes. This means you have to do some trial and error and arithmatic in your application to get it to print the way you want on non-standard paper. For $125, I can live with that. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome printer
The 2420dn is a great printer and meets every need I have in a mono laser. It's very, very fast, the first page is out in less than 10 seconds. The built-in networking is fast and works great.I was previously using an Intel Netport print server with an HP 1320, and it was just too slow. The integrated networking in the 2420dn is really fast.Duplexing works great, the Tray 1 manual feeder works great with envelopes.I can not find a single bad thing to say about the 2420dn, it has everything I wanted in a laser for my home office.I know HP is a different company than they were years ago, but I still trust their laser printers as the industry standard.I had a model 4P b/w laser printer for 10 years, never had a single problem with it.But look at how far things have come.I spent $925 on that 4P back in 1995, it printed 600dpi at 4 pages/minute and came with I think 2MB onboard memory. This 2420dn does 1200dpi at 30ppm, and comes with 64MB memory onboard.Sounds like a bargain...

5-0 out of 5 stars Silent and Fast
We used an HP LaserJet 4M plus for years. The 2420 warms up quicker and prints much faster.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor installation, Pictbridge nonsense, rattly scanner
Installed exactly as instructioned.Drivers installed fine.Lexmark software would not install. After an hour of uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling, I found a way to manually install the software.(Lexmark's site was absolutely no help.) I was able to print and scan using Windows' utilities, but Lexmark's own sofware wouldn't detect the machine. When scanning, it made an unusual rattling noise and the scans came out with horizontal lines. When using Pictbridge to print photos directly from the camera, it doesn't automatically print at the highest quality setting. You have to go into the printer's default settings in Windows, set the quality to the highest setting first. After you're done, you have to go back into the settings and change it back to your preference. This sort of kills the whole purpose of Pictbridge if you're looking to quickly print a few photos directly from the camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lexmark 7350 All in all a great buy!
I purchased this machine through staples.com (I had a 30 dollar off coupon and it was cheaper than amazon, plus staples shipping is free and the machine comes the next business day(I've had problems with amazon shipping - But thats a whole different story) On to the review:
4-0 out of 5 stars This my favorite Lexmark
I setup my Lexmark 7350 [...] today that I purchased from QVC as a Today's special. This is my fourth Lexmark ink jet and by far the best. As advertised it is indeed about 30% smaller in footprint and height than my old Lexmark x83 All in One, and 3 times faster. It does not have a card reader or color photo preview LCD window like the more expensive Lexmark 8350, however I do not miss not having those items at all because my other Lexmark, a 915,has those features.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not so happy with mine
This printer is fast.Toner cartridges are way overpriced and will be a huge cost over the years. Also, I have had problems printing envelopes- they sometime go through crooked. And after printing the fan sounds noisy and rattles. This is not the HP of the 1990's

4-0 out of 5 stars Mixed thoughts about this printer
The HP 2420 is a decent printer with some nice features but also some worrisome aspects. Let me hit the good points first:
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer Except for Mac 10.4 Driver
Bought the HP2420 to go with a new Mac G5. Great printer. Worked fine with Mac OS 10.3 where the driver software was provided by HP. Upgraded to the new OS Tiger 10.4.x where, unfortunately, the driver is now provided embedded in the Mac OS. Printer works fine, except that the Mac Safari browser cannot print to the 2420. When one attempts to print the printer generates an 0049 memory exception message. HP documentation says to turn the printer off to clear the memory. HP online says no driver is available for the Mac OS 10.4 since it is embedded in the OS. Catch 22--currently there is no fix available. Neither HP or Apple have responded to my complaints. Foxfire and Internet Explorer print just fine. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars As a network printer it works great, but...
I also have a problem with the printer creasing envelopes. It appears to shift the flap of the envelope slightly while feeding it through the fuser and the heat and pressure causes another crease about 1/8" offset from the original one.
3-0 out of 5 stars The Brother MFC 8460N creases envelopes
I have been unable to get this machine to stop creasing envelopes. It looks quite sloppy and affects the print in places. At times it is better than others but usually I get a big crease across the bottom left corner and a smaller crease across the return address.

5-0 out of 5 stars OK price, nice speed, not many problems
I'll keep this short...
2-0 out of 5 stars 16 months and it's crapped out !
I purchase a lot of PC's and peripherals for my job.
2-0 out of 5 stars Horrible paper handling
I bought this printer for a few reasons. First was the print head cartridge combination. I had gotten tired of the innefective print head cleaning of my Espon c-80 (soon to head to the junk pile since I can't get the print head to print reliably anymore) and wanted to avoid that issue alltogether. The second reason I bought it was its footprint, which is great for a small desk (or under the desk in this case). Lastly was price.

1-0 out of 5 stars I would not buy
I purchased one (from a local store not Amazon.com), brought it home and printed a photograph that I had previously printed on a Kodak EasyShare printer (my mother-in-law's).The resulting photograp was horrible, it had a very green tint to it.I then adjusted the various enhancement controls within the printer, the green tint remained.I checked the troubleshooting section of the manual, checked/cleaned the print heads, and still the problem remained.Given that the product is still on the market, I suspect I had a broken unit.
5-0 out of 5 stars my picturemate
I love my picturemate, i can take pictures and print them soon after. I will say that it is a great product to buy. I have grand children who are on the move. Now with picturemate i can process pictures in my own home. Thank you picturemate.

3-0 out of 5 stars Ink runs out way before the paper
This is a fine little printer for 4x6 prints. And if it actually delivered anywhere near the stated number of prints per pack, it would also be economical. Because I don't print a lot, my ink runs out way before the paper does, leaving me with stacks of useless paper. Epson does not allow you to buy ink without also buying paper, so you are stuck. Other companies selling "compatible" ink cartridges are selling dy based inks, whereas the printer is designed to use a pigment base. So 3rd party ink solutions are not the way to go.

1-0 out of 5 stars Driver and software incompatibilities?
Please Google "Print Queue problem iP5200." Exactly the same problem I experienced is described by some other unfortunate people. The problem is that after printing a job, it stays in Print Queue for several minutes, and the second job cannot be started immediately. Those who reported the problem on internet did not get any solution. Of course, they and I contacted Canon. Those who posted the problem on internet and I used the latest printer driver. I have Windows XP Home with all updates installed. The reviewers here didn't seem to have this serious problem. I don't know why a small number of people experience the problem. One person who reported the problem on internet reinstalled Windows system without solving the problem. I didn't go that far.
3-0 out of 5 stars Canon iP5200 Photo Printer
The printer is well made and functions well. Speed is good for both text and photos, even at high quality. My main complaint is that photos, especially poitraits, have a distinct reddish tint. It's difficult to remove the proper amount of cyan since the photos look perfect on the monitor. I've waisted way to much photo paper and still can't duplicate the image on the monitor. If anyone has an answer to this problem let me know please.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great printer for home office, cross-platform (Mac & PC) printing!
We purchased this printer to replace an aging HP Laserjet 4 that we've had for 12 years. Both our laptops are connected to the Internet in our home office via our wifi Apple Airport Extreme (neither of our laptops are actually wired to the Internet).

1-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating Cartridge Problems
This printer was very nice for the first month we owned it - nice pictures with the photo printing cartridge. Then, we had the first cartridge "failure" and it has been downhill since.Nearly brand new cartridges fail, producing horrible prints and wasting large amounts of money. All of our attempts to get help from HP did not solve the problem and now we don't even bother trying to fix the failed print cartridges. They still work, just make awful looking print outs with lines through them.I don't feel like throwing away another 30 bucks just to have the nearly full cartridge fail in a couple of weeks!Remember when HP was a sign of a quality printer?I'm starting to forget too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely flawless!!An Excellent companion to your Digital Camera!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Printer, Superb Price
This printer was given as a gift two years ago, but would not work with my Windows 95 PC; however, when I upgraded to a new iMac this year I pulled the HP Photosmart 7760 out of the box and gave it a try. Installation was straightforward, though I did have to "modify" the USB cable -- which, inexplicably, you must purchase separately -- to make it fit into the printer side of the connection. Otherwise the printer was up and running within minutes.

2-0 out of 5 stars Stops printing even if one cartridge is out
The real problem with this printer is that if any of its four cartridges is out, it won't print at all. I most of the times use black ink and hardly do any color printing, but during the process of cleaning itself it consumes color cartridges. When any of the color cartridges is out, no more even black printing. So it is really bad. Pinting quality, however, is fine.

1-0 out of 5 stars Expensive printer
I print an average of 5-10 pages/month. Each time I have to clean the heads otherwise the print quality is low. This consumes a lot of ink. BTW, you can't clean the heads if one or more cartriges are low on ink and using the printer w/o one cartrige is not an option.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not a good deal
I purchased this printer, and the ink QUICKLY ran out. Upon trying to replace it, couldnt get the ink to work in it. So I got one round of printing from this printer. Not a good deal. ... Read more
