5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent printer!
I also have a DeskJet 6980 and loved it.Very fast, USB, ethernet, bluetooth, and wireless connectivity in a built in print server to boot.I just bought this 6980dt from Amazon because I needed the duplexor and the 250 sheet tray is a bonus. It all installs so easy and the speed is very hard to beat.It is quieter than previous printers I had here and also has a great duty cycle. Everything I need in the best of it's class.I highly recommend it.This is the 2nd one I bought, Mom will get the 6980, and both installed very, very easily.

1-0 out of 5 stars After 4 hours with tech support, it's going back!
We're running a network with 2 desktops and a laptop all running Windows XP.I picked this printer because it was networkable, and the wireless feature was particularly enticing. The paperwork that came with the printer was of no help in setting up the printer on the network. After holding for 30 minutes for tech support, I spent well over 3 hours with a techie trying to get even 1 of the computers printing. I do have to commend the patience and perseverence of the tech I spoke with, but unfortunately he was unable to help me.By the time I gave up, and he was out of suggestions, I had only managed to get the laptop to print by plugging the printer directly into the wireless router, which made it invisible to the desktops, and therefore of no use to me.Upon further investigation, apparently HP printers will only work in a network with "HP-compatible" routers and hardware.I'm not going to replace all the hardware for the sake of a printer, so the printer is going back.I'm very frustrated at this point, and will not be buying another HP printer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Printer: Quality through and through
I absolutely love this printer and it's capabilities...

2-0 out of 5 stars Feeder issues
The feeder on this printer does not work as I expected based on previous experience with HP printers. Printing labels has been the most frustrating. The feeder pulls the label sheet in crooked, or it pulls it too far in, or not far enough in. I have also experienced the problem of the feeder pulling 10 sheets in at once.

1-0 out of 5 stars Jams a lot
It's an ok machine for occasionally printing a few sheets of paper. But the paper feed is really poor, often pulling in a whole bunch of sheets at the same time. And if you need to print envelopes don't bother; very often it jams up. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little printer
This printer is a great inexpensive way to be able to print photos on the go.
4-0 out of 5 stars nothing is perfect!
this is very close. simple to understand...even simpler to operate...and terrific quality prints.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Prints from a Small Package
This is a handy printer, neat and small. You can insert your camera's memory card right into the printer and print out your photos. Of course you can only print out four by six prints, but that's one of the sacrifices because the printer is so small. However, it's size makes it easy to take on trips, after all you can hardly lug around a full size printer when you're taking the family to Disneyland. And there is one big plus and that is that they photo are pretty darned good, especially if you use high quality paper. Convenient and cheap too, what a deal. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price...
For its price, this is a work horse of a printer. Small, compact, space saving design. Fast and quiet as well. Only problem, as one reviewer mentioned earlier, is that it doesn't print well on labels for some reason. So I guess if you're just printing on regular paper, this one will do the trick.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer

Editorial Review

Digital cameras and mobile phones have changed the rules about taking photos. Now, the SELPHY DS810 Compact Photo Printer changes everything about how and where to print them. It's only about 9" x9" x4," much smaller than typical printers. It doesn't have to be connected to your computer, so you can keep it in almost any room and print beautiful photos from there. It features Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE), which uses an innovative print head with nozzles that eject consistent, precise ink droplets as small as two picoliters. This patented technology produces an outstanding resolution of up to 4,800 x 1,200 dpi, for exceptional detail and photo realism. You won't have to wait long; it can print a beautiful photo lab quality 4" x 6" photograph in about 63 seconds--directly from your PictBridge enabled camera. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 4x6 photo printer
Works great and price is amazing for this technology. Could be just a bite faster.

1-0 out of 5 stars POOR RESOLUTION AND SPEED
THIS PRODUCT IS GOOD IN THEORY ONLY!! EVEN AT THE HIGHEST PHOTO QUALITY, THE PRINTED IMAGES ARE VERY GRAINY (USING A 6MP CAMERA).
2-0 out of 5 stars Very unhappy with this
The printing quality is good, but that's the only positive thing I can say. There's no place to leave paper in the printer, the indicator about which side of the paper to have in the "up" position is misleading, leading two a complete mess as you waste ink printing the wrong side of the paper.Even worse, it only allows you to plug in proprietary devices: Try to plug your USB storage device or any non-Canon device into it and it tells you it's incompatible.I got a $[...] rebate and it's still not worth it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars It's Been An Excellent Printer
We have two C86's (and a C66, which uses the same ink cartridges) in our real estate office. The older one has been in use 2-3 years. We've printed thousands of pages with no problems with any of them, except for the very occasional "bad cartridge".Perhaps the constant use explains the difference between my and the other reviewers' experiences with this model. I don't think the C86 is still manufactured but if I can, I'll replace two other office printers (Epson Color 880 and HP Deskjet 952c) just to simplify ink cartridge orders.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nothing But Trouble ...
I had to exchange my C86 w/Epson within 9 months. No matter what they had me do to try and 'fix' my problem, it still wouldn't print correctly.I've had the replacement for less than 6 months and the heads are clogged!On-line support sent me an email with a lot of instructions that I followed to the 'T', but the replacement printer doesn't print at all now.I threw away 4 good color/B&W cartridges (half-used) and put in new ones and it still doesn't print!I've paid for this printer about 5x's over now in ink $$$.I plan on using it as a dingy anchor ...

1-0 out of 5 stars Epson C86 - decent while it works
I've had a C86 for a little over year.It had great print quality and was fairly quick for about a year. Then an invitation card misfed. It wasn't a serious misfeed (I didn't force anything to remove the card), but the printer quickly went downhill after that.It printed a few pages with horizontal bands of normal print alternating with bands of very light print, then the pages were completely blank.I assume the print heads are clogged, but I've also read about the C86's tendency to get a clogged tube.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good printer but ink doesn't last
I agree with the first review but the ink cartridge does runs out quickly. I like the idea of one cartridge and the cartridge cost is ok but make sure you have plenty on hand if you do a lot of printing. I have noticed that the printer prints well in some cases but is shotty when printing Fedex labels. I don't know if it's a setting issue or what but it does print regular pages just fine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good!!! I'm Surprised!!!
I had a Epson CX6600 big and bulky and I had to use 4 different inks but it died on me. I think it was the print heads (I used generic ink to save some money and it stop printing). So I had to get another "All In One Printer" quickly and I didn't want to spend alot of money.

2-0 out of 5 stars Slow and unreliable
I have had this printer for almost four years now, and while it has saved my bacon on the road a number of times, it has also really let me down at some crucial moments. First, like a lot of older Canon printers, it is noisy and slow. It takes forever to get started on a page. But also like a lot of canons, when it is working right the output is beautiful.
1-0 out of 5 stars Nice Paper Weight. Now where's my printer i ordered!
This would be a nice printer. If only I could get it to print! Not to mention when I turn it on it makes a god awful sound like some thing is jammed.I've tried over and over to try to print something.I've checked my options, turned it on and off and still it sits there not printing. If your looking for a portible printer you have other options and I suggest using them.

3-0 out of 5 stars Poor paper feed
I have owned BJC 70 and BJC 80.Both have difficulty feeding automatically. I have had to guide each single piece of paper in order for the feed to catch.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars outof paper
This printer is SO frustrating. I've been fighting the error "out of paper" for several weeks. Office Depot told me i needed to clean the rollers. Seems to be a common problem. Don't buy this printer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great All-In-One
This printer works great!I have not had any problems with this printer.Text and photos are excellent quality.Copies and scans are good.I really like the ability to copy, scan and fax without having to turn on my computer.
3-0 out of 5 stars Generally excellent but some problems with Mac software
After 6 months of experience with the 3310 running in a Macintosh environment, I am delighted with some of its features.Photo prints are magnificent.Document printing, scanning, copying, and faxing all work perfectly.Wireless communication is great. But a friend and I have noted the same two problems with three 3310 printers shipped from different vendors, i.e., these are design problems.1) The OCR feature listed in the specifications worked with the original software but not with the last two updates. The workaround described on the HP website doesn't fix the problem. 2) Scanning of negatives produces worthless results despite some improvement with the last software upgrade. This appears to be a software problem because negative scanning worked OK when the same printer was running on a Windows computer.HP Support tried to help, but disappeared when it became apparent their help didn't solve the problems. If HP could fix these two problems, I'd give this printer 10 stars. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars paper gobbler
Having tossed my ink drinking Canon out the window, I thought I would return to HP.Reliable, not superb print quality like a good Epson, but fast.Unfortunately, the paper feeding device of this HP is clumsy and apparently pretty backward.I have more misfeeds than I used to have on earlier printers. The paper feed is not easy to use nor to change for sizes other than letter size. The ink disappears pretty quickly as well. So whatever I have made up on speed, I lose having to rerun documents to get them to print each page on only one sheet of paper. What has happened that we cannot even produce a better printer than what we used to have?I will probably not buy another HP printer after this.

1-0 out of 5 stars Paper Feeding Problems - Stay Away!
I was attracted to this printer by its speed, and the fact that a duplexer can be added.

5-0 out of 5 stars Couldn't ask for more
The picture quality is at least as good as what you'd get with drug store prints. It prints fast too.Great product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great printer
I have a Kodak dock with printer but this Epson is great and so easy to set up and use. My daughter brought hers when she came to visit and after using it I had to buy one. I would buy this one instead of the Kodak (I use both). The quality is much better. You can take it with you and print because you don't need to hook up with a pc. Good job on this one.

2-0 out of 5 stars Save your money
When the printer works, it prints very nice pictures, quite sharp with amazing accurate colors and saturation. However, it's an ink jet printer, with all the evils associated with ink jets.Clogged nozzles, missing lines in the print, and a very small ink supply. If you do frequent nozzle cleanings, you'll restore the print quality, but that is a waste of ink.It has a couple improvements in that the ink ostensibly doesn't fade like normal ink does, and there are six jets, so color mixing is more accurate.Furthermore, the prints are waterproof. When printing through Epson's Film Factory, the printer crops the borders of the photos, so you'll lose the edges of your pics. This may happen if you print directly from the card; I haven't checked. This cropping is really an inexcusable bug in the process. My advice is to save your money and let a store print your photos. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Not network friendly
We chose this printer because of the network capability. The first printer stopped functioning correctly after three weeks. To print, we had to turn the printer off, then back on, and then print. We had to do this every time we wanted to print.HP sent us a replacement printer, and it worked correctly for 4 days. After over an hour on the phone with HP, I was told the printer is not very stable in a network application, and we should use the printer via a USB connection. If HP knows the unit is not stable in a network environment, then HP should correct the problem, or stop selling the unit.

5-0 out of 5 stars HP LaserJet 1022n - another winner from HP
The HP LaserJet printers have been good to me over the years - first a 2, then a 3, then a 4p, a 5, a 6p, a color LaserJet 4500N, and now a 1022n.Out of the box, the 1022n is much faster than the older printers, even after I added memory to many of the older models. It's a bit louder as well, but the additional speed is worth it.The paper tray is much easier to manage in the 1022n.It couldn't have been easier to hook up - good riddance to the parallel port connection.I don't know how you can do better than HP LaserJets!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great HP printer with networking built in.
I had bought a HP 1020 to replace my old HP 895cse. I had run my 895cse through a Netgear USB print server. After buying the 1020 I found out that it was not compatible with USB print servers. I tried it on the Netgear and a Linksys product and both became unavailable after powering up the printer. You could see the print server until the printer was powered up and then the print server was unreachable.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good in many ways but also disappointing picture printing
I switched from an Epson when it stopped printing color properly, and I wanted a multi function inkjet for home use. Although I have liked my previous 2 Epsons, I decided against Epson because of a ribbon problem that occurs in various models (which happened to my husband's machine.) I also decided against HP because many consumer reviews mentioned paper jamming. Canon has very good reviews with Consumer Reports and on Amazon, and the price is very good.
5-0 out of 5 stars Canon PIXMA MP170 All-In-One Photo Printer Excellent
Easy setup, fast text printing, reasonable scanning/copying ... for the price, way exceeded my expectations for photo printing ... on good paper photos are very high quality!A great, bargain printer!

5-0 out of 5 stars canon printer
I am really happy with this printer.I have now had it for about 6 weeks. No problems so far.I think the printing quality for photos is great.I read the other reviews, which said that the photo quality left something to be desired, and I disagree. My only criticism is that it uses ink fast, so if you buy it, buy some ink refills at the same time.It seems to use up the color ink more quickly than the black.I also love the fact that it has a copier, which works great. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty SERIOUS PRINTER for the price of a JOKE PRINTER
A good buddy of mine recommended this style of printer to me years ago. He is in the ink business and calls any printer that uses multi color cartridges or even the tiny single color cartridges "joke printers".
5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful workgroup printer
The only negative thing I can say about this printer is that it is BIG.Everything else is fantastic.
