4-0 out of 5 stars Good printer for Linux
My home network has a mix of Windows and Linux PCs. Like some of the other reviewers, I agree that the Windows setup instructions are a bit murky, but I had no problems. Also, the HP Solution Center application is fairly unhelpful, if you need help. One demerit for weak documentation and software.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great printer
I've had this printer for about 4 months now and it works great. The network setup was easy.I have 4 computers in my home printing to this computer, all are hooked up using a Linksys 54g router.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great printer but...
the documentation and installation manual should be abandoned immediately. Also, the supplied ethernet cable did not work.It was a combination of the extra plastic gaurding over the clips on each end of the cable, which thoroughly prevented either end from being plugged into either the printer or the router. Also, I was only able to use the third installation option where you have to set up the printer via the ethernet cable.Nowhere does it inform you of the most important step of the installation process. After the WPA information is transferred to the printer, you actually have to remove the ethernet cable from the printer in order for it to connect to the network. You will receive the Network Status: Not Connected, until it's removed.

3-0 out of 5 stars Problem with Borders
This printer literally sits on the same shelf as an Epson 3810 and Canon ip6600D.I also have a Epson RX500 somewhere else. So, I'm making direct comparisons here.
2-0 out of 5 stars Dismal service
Had to return replacement unit as it was clear it was dropped in shipping and would not feed paper. After many hours running tests and sitting on the phone they agreed to send a 2nd replacement. One area of disappointment was that the number to call for a UPS pickup was for a phone service call-girl. I tried to explain this to HP to no avail. All in all I found the experience disappointing.

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor Reliability
While I agree the photo quality is outstanding with this printer, mine failed after fewer than a dozen uses. The photo tray stopped feeding 4x6 paper, even after spending $25 on an HP paper feed cleaner designed for this model. To make matters worse, the replacement offer from HP is slightly worse than buying a brand-new HP 8250 printer direct from Amazon. On the plus side, HP customer service was extremely patient while I hunted for my misplaced receipt to prove warranty eligibility (which I couldn't). Ouch! UPDATE: The next day I finally located my receipt, but the 1-year warranty had expired by 10 days. HP would not honor the elapsed warranty and charged me the full replacement amount ($99) for another printer. Pretty chintzy. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Great quality when it actually prints!!!
I've had this printer for a few months now.I intially installed it using the Ethernet port connected to my router.I was constantly plagued with error messages from it, so I switched to a regular USB connection. The problems didn't go away.Every time I go to print, I can expect to spend ten minutes playing with the paper loader hoping that the printer will recognize that there actually IS paper in it. When it actually does print, the quality is outstanding but it is so unreliable that its hard to pleased with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars High quality inkjet with built in ethernet!
Just an overall high quality color inkjet printer with built in ethernet!!About time for an affordable built in ethernet solution.Us customers know it only takes a couple of dollars to add an ethernet port, THANKS for finally doing it to a home inkjet printer!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing deskjet
I've been in the computer world for many years.I am a die-hard HP fan but the past few Deskjets have not really had the WOW factor to them.Until this one.I just recently purchased it and it was hooked up in no time on my network, all 5 computers can print to it simultaneously and it doesn't have any problem handling the spooling.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great price for a decent printer...
I researched for a while trying to find a reasonably priced, reliable printer that works well and I think I've found it. The HP D4160 got pretty good reviews on various sites I looked at (including Amazon) and so I decided to purchase it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great!
This is a good printer.I have had no problems. It comes with color and black ink, power cord, it works without fuss, prints fast, clean.Reccomended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Price
I picked up this printer for $48.99 including shipping... this printer prints extremely fast and the ink isn't an sticker shocker around $21 and change at most locations. If you're looking for something reliable and cheap this is the printer for you.I print around 2000 pages per day because of my job 5 days anda week.I haven't had any problems at all crosses finger. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Short and Sweet
I just bought this at my local store. It prints great pictures...it so easy to set up.Most of the comments below I agree with.I'll leave it to that!!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best gifts I've ever received
I received the printer as a Xmas gift from my mother and brother in 2005. I love love love this photo printer.I was blown away by the print quality when I saw the very first picture that I printed. They look like they were developed in a photo lab. I've printed more than 300 photos and the quality of the print is the same as the very first picture.I love all the features of the printer especially the Disney borders.Since the printer is portable and does not require a PC, I have taken it to special events and printed photos to give to friends and family. Most of them have also been amazed at the quality of the photos. No more photo labs for me.I would highly recommend this printer to anyone and everyone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great Pictures - Poor Hardware Quality
I purchased this printer 10 months ago after reading the reviews which all seemed great.I've always been an HP fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer
I love the feature for printing CD/DVD's labels....it's not necessary to buy special discs...just put a blank label on your disc and it will printer it perfectly. Colors are beautiful and less costly since you only need to replace the colors as you use them. plus they last really long. Great little machine...............

3-0 out of 5 stars OK Photo printer but be warned of ink cartridge costs.
This inexpensive printer does a nice job of printing photos and on CDs. My complaint with Epson printers is with their "intelligent" chip embedded ink cartridges that monitor ink usage based on page yeilds rather than true ink volume. In short, this means the cartridge will show the same usage of ink whether you are printing pages and photos in draft mode or in high quality mode. The printer software stops the printer from printing if one of the six color cartridges is percieved as "close to empty". Epson engineered it this way to ensure that the ink doesn't run out and causes a clogged printerhead. The problem is that I'm constantly replacing ink cartridges that still have about 25 percent ink remaining. I know because I have opened the spent cartridges and have measured the remaining ink. Also, you cannot refill the cartridges with after-market ink because the chip in each catridge renders it "empty" even if you refill it. This ink cartridge design has caused a class action suit to be brought against Epson. Do a Google search and you'll find the website. In fairness to Epson I must state this printer does a nice job printing photos and onto CDs which is a nice feature. If ink costs aren't a problem (about $60 for a complete 6 color set) than get this printer. In the meantime, I'm steering clear of future Epson printers until they re-engineer the ink cartridges to reflect the true ink volume usage.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ideal for basic use
It seems from reading some of the other reviews that this product doesn't stand up to being pushed to the limit. But for your basic home use I've found it reliable, simple to use and a good all-rounder. Having more catridges to replace seems a bit daunting at first but you soon realise this saves you money. The cost of new catridges is a major factor when deciding to buy a printer and Epson's are pretty reasonably priced.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad for your blood pressure
I was all excited when my boss decided to get one of these to replace our typewriter labeling system. I remained excited until the first time I swtiched form one kind of label to another. After loading a diffrent label type I tried to print and nothing happened. Nothing happened the next 417 times I tried to print, either. Nothing happened after I tried all of the website's troubleshooting techniques. Then I called customer support. I put the phone on speaker and listed to hold music and promotional pitches for 1.5 hours before giving up. I hope they didn't throw away my typewriter...

2-0 out of 5 stars Beware reliability of power supply (based on earlier model 330)
I have two of the similar, earlier model 330, one at home and one at work. They have both suffered power supply failures, having survived through the warranty period but not much longer.Dymo's price for out-of-warranty repair is $75 each, which is a large fraction of the purchase price.
5-0 out of 5 stars Handy Little Gizmo
It sits there quietly until you need to print a label and there is where it shows how useful it is.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent - very happy
After reading reviews here I hesitated but happened to see the same machine (but without duplex capability) at a work site and that clinched it for me.
2-0 out of 5 stars Watch Out for Power Consumption
Great Printer with lots of neat features.HOWEVER, the printer uses 1024 WATTS or 9.1 Amps when it powers up to print a page or make a copy. This has caused me alot of problems.
4-0 out of 5 stars Fatal Flaw
I have had several Brother MFC's throughout the years. All of them have had a by-pass where one could feed either an envelope or a sheet of labels through the front of the machine, open a door in the back of the machine and then print with a straight paper path so the envelope doesn't get rinkled and the labels don't start to come off the carrier sheet, which is especially important if one uses Stamp.com's labels where the same sheet of labels may be printed on up to 10 or more times as one uses up the each label. Other than the foregoing DESIGN FLAW, its a good machine but for me, this is a FATAL FLAW so I took it back to Office Depot. It was interesting to get the reaction of a couple of techs at Brother as they too couldn't believe the engineers forgot this critical function! I will just have to be satisfied with my MFC-8440 until they come out with a new 30 page per minute duplexing machine with the old by-pass capability. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So far so good
Past experience and reviews here have me wary of the quality control on Samsung laser printers, but I bought the ML-2010 anyway because it was cheap. My misgivings continued when I unpacked the printer - the front swing-down panels are really flimsy (an extra penny or two on thicker plastic would have helped) and the design of the paper tray is not good - it works OK, but loading paper is unnecessarily clumsy because you have to bend the stack of paper paper so it fits over the paper stop when loading. No problem once you're used to it, but an unnecessary pain.OTOH, getting this printer set up to run in Windows XP was child's play; Samsung's Windows installation software is as good as it gets.
1-0 out of 5 stars Just Plain Cheesy!
Puchased this printer recently since it is networkable and I wanted to replace my old Brother printer.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great performing, great value laster printer.
The thing that confuses me about some of these reviews is that people are disappointed that this printer doesn't do some stuff that it's really not designed nor meant to do. If you want the bells and whistles of a $500 printer, buy a $500 printer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Printer for the Money; Handles the Basics Well
I also did plenty of research and bottom line ... I was looking for a multi-function (printer, fax, copy, scan) that did wireless out of the box without any added print server hardware and so forth. I purchased it for slightly over $200 from Amazon. This unit worked great out of the box. The wireless config was a breeze and the color screen made configuration especially easy. It prints well, copies well, and the software for the PC seems to work nicely and simply. This is not a top of the line multi-function ... but if you need quick and easy wireless printing, decent print quality, and don't print huge volume ... this is a nice choice.

5-0 out of 5 stars Exceeds ALL expectations!!!
In this day and age of the marketing machine, many products abound in the market place that promises much more than they deliver.I am aware of this marketing machine that hypes up products, and have been extremely cautious as a consumer. That being said, I am extremely happy with this printer.
5-0 out of 5 stars premium performance (@ premium price)
I've been using the Epson R2400 for about 6 weeks now.I am extremely impressed and very satisfied with the quality of output from this printer. My work has been both (mostly) color and B&W.Output has ranged from 4x6 to 13x19.Borderless & not over this range.I have been using Moab Entrada 190 Natural paper almost exclusively with the printer.I've been using Epson K3 inks.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent printer
Absolutelybeautiful prints! Ink is a bit expensive but there are ways around that. I like being able to print in large sizes with such clarity and accuracy. I've always liked Epson printers; I just wish they'd make a removable print head for easier cleaning. If the print head becomes clogged; that's it! I'd suggest printing a least once every other day to keep it up to snuff. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Works poorly with linux
I was disappointed that the printer does not work properly with linux, which is my primary work platform.I ended up giving it to my daughter to use with her MS windows.

1-0 out of 5 stars faulty product, terrible support
Failed after 3 uses.Amazon cust. serv. kept me on the phone for nearly 1/2 hour while agent, i assume, learned how to parse english sentences. After having to ARGUE with this person about whether or not i actually placed this order, finally, i received help -- the 1800 number for canon. Thanks Amazon!

5-0 out of 5 stars MP950 Printer is incredible!
After some extensive research, I settled on the Canon MP950 printer.Ordering from Amazon gave me a very competitive price and it arrived in less than two days!I haven't even hooked it up to a computer yet, but I used it in the first day to print photos from my digital camera memory card.Impressive quality! The features on this printer are too numerous to mention.I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do yet.Very easy to use. Can't wait to take advantage of all it offers!! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Very happy Techno Challenged
I am the queen of the techno challenged.I found this printer extremely easy to install and use.I am ordering my 3rd one.I originally purchased one for myself, then one for my daughter and now one for my new showroom.I am a kitchen designer and use it to print up my CAD designs as well as my before and after pictures.I must admit that I haven't used the machine to its full potential, but for what I have done it is super. One of the things I like the most is the individual ink cartridges. Some colors I use fairly quickly and would have to replace all of the colors in other units instead of just the ones I need. This is a major cost savings.I can not give this a higher rating. If you want a machine that is easy to install and use, with lots of versitility...this one is for you!

1-0 out of 5 stars Paper Feeder Issue...still unresolved
I bought the HP Photosmart 3210 about 6 months ago. The print quality, scanning function, and copy funtion all passed with flying colors. However, those qualities come second to actually having the printer function as expected.I too started having a paper feed problem (as you can see from many, many of the reviews).I am now on my THIRD replacement (remanufactured) printer...and still having the same "out of paper" error when the paper tray is full. It takes me about 30-90 seconds to print one page, if the printer decides to accept the paper you put in the paper tray.I have come to the conclusion that the HP front loading paper technology has some apparent flaws.I just gave up on getting the FOURTH replacement printer offered by HP and bought a comparable Epson.I am sticking with the top-loading paper technology that I know actually works.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buy an extended warranty from someone OTHER than HP
I bought the HP3210 to replace an HP all-in-one printer-scanner-copier-fax that died after only 2 years. The scanner head on my orignal printer would hang up and "click" on startup - an issue I have since read is not uncommon with that particular model. After numerous calls with HP support, they offered me the typical sell for an exchanged reconditioned unit, but I wan't interested in buying someone else's broken printer, so I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new one.I had been really happy with the print quality of my first HP, so I decided to give them another chance.

Why bother waiting for the photo lab when you can print images that are just as good--or maybe better--at home? 5-0 out of 5 stars Pure great printing!
I've been an HP fan forever except for their horrible software.I installed this Canon IP4200 in less than 10 mintues and was up and printing flawless photos in 1 minute. The photos out of this printer are BETTER than the photo lab! This model has the best resolution (even better than some higher model Canon Pixmas), has a dual paper tray, output tray and is quiet.Even skip the other Canons with the card slots and useless little screen. The resolution on this is perfect.
