    1-0 out of 5 stars JUNK !!!
Have had this 7410 for six months. It scans slow. It rarely will scan to Winfax. The software boo boos about every other time scan wise and must unplug replug. Ink is expensive. Software is absolute junk and makes it almost impossible to use your own scanning software. Card reader is OK. Copying is OK.

2-0 out of 5 stars You'll be impressed with this all-in-1 if you have no need for maybe 2/3 of its advertised features
Totally agree with Thomas Wikman's assessment. I've spent 2 days now with HP, MS, and ATT trying to get HP to acknowledge the many problems with their over-reaching, under-performing software. Earnest HP support staff sends you down the primrose lane pursuing every conceivable excuse to deflect blame on HP's software.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great multi-function with a little room for improvement
This is a great multi-function printer/scanner/copier/fax machine for a small office or home business that has a light to moderately light document workload.

    Editorial Review

With the versatile PIXMA MP500 Photo All-In-One on your desktop, you'll ask yourself how you ever got along without it. This amazing machine delivers an impressive resolution of up to 9,600 x 2,400 color dpi, for remarkable detail and clarity. How does it do it? Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a next-generation 1,856-nozzle print head that ejects precise, consistent droplets as small as one picoliter. Further, our Contrast PLUS five-color ink system--four dye-based inks and a pigment-based black ink--produces true-life photos with a wide color palette, along with laser-quality text. You won't have to wait long to see your results; a beautiful photo lab quality 4"x 6" borderless photo takes approximately 51 seconds. Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars just okay
Overall, seems to work well for the price. I've had a few problems though. 1) Often the printer says it doesn't "recognize" an ink cartridge (one that came with the printer originally) and I have to turn it off and on again to get it to work. 2) I haven't figured out how to print on legal size paper... I think maybe it's not possible.3) Color quality is just so-so even on photo paper. I had a better experience with my old Epson that lasted me almost 10 years.
1-0 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE RELIABILITY
Even though I have used my printer (a Pixma 5000) very lightly, it jams regularly on Canon photo paper and then spills ink everywhere. Today it went into "service error 5700" and it doesn't work any more, even after rebooting it five times.
3-0 out of 5 stars NICE PRINTER BUT ONE BOTHERSOME FLAW ...
I recently bought this printer from Amazon, generally like it, but it has one problem: when I have not used printer for a time (1 - 7 days, this problem more likely & severe the longer it has been) colors are often very bad, eg no red at all, sometimes no red and no yellow, on first page or 2 that I print. After 1-2 pages everything works fine until printer is unused for another few-day period. This problem always leaves me the choice of reprinting 1 or 2 pages (spending precious time and draining expensive ink) or accepting a lousy looking printout.Note there may be a fix out there, I am too lazy/busy to hunt it down. And if you are running this printer long and hard, on a daily basis, you will probably not experience this problem. But if you use printer only for small and occasional jobs (say a 4 page job 3 times a week) I think this printer is a bad choice, you can probably get more dependable quality from a less expensive printer. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Good All-In-One!
The HP 4215 has been a good reliable printer/fax/copier for my home office.Software was easy to install and very user friendly. My only complaints are that it does not print well with UPS software/labels.Shipping info is often cut off and printed beyond the label borders. The ink cartridges are very small.Plan on replacing or refilling the black ink once a month with moderate printing/faxing/copying.Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
Bought this as I needed a good cheap printer to print and maybe fax occasionally.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY
I have had this product for about a year and have had no problems. It makes great color prints and is easy to use. This is my third EPSON printer and I have found their quality to be excellant.

4-0 out of 5 stars Mixed review
I have nothing to add regarding the features of this product, except the quality of prints far exceeded my expectations out of the box.I was pleased with this printer until it began to malfunction. After just a couple of months the paper intake roller began to pull harder on one side than the other causing the paper to wrinkle and jam.The good news is, Epson customer service is top notch! After attempting (and failing) to troubleshoot the problem, the very polite tech support guy is sending me a replacement by Fedex.
5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing All In One
This printer has been a pleasant surprise-I was skeptical at first to purchase since the reviews are all over the place.

    1-0 out of 5 stars works great...until it doesn't
Like others, I was happy with the printer. But then after changing the black ink one time...no more black ink. This is the second Epson we have owned that had this problem. Both times about 1-1/2 years after purchase (you guessed it--out of warranty). The first time they offered us this printer at a big discount. But it's not worth the hassle.
1-0 out of 5 stars Works well for a while...then stops completely!
I will not longer buy an Epson printer. This is the 4th Epson printer I have owned and had problems with.Maybe I should have stopped buying them a long time ago, but I didn't.In any case, I always thought that Epson's had great great print quality and they do.The only problem with them all is that the print heads stop working and there is no way that you can get them to start working again. No amount of cleaning the print heads, while using all of your ink during the cleaning, will make the printer print again. So, after buying multiple cartridges because of multiple cleanings, and replacing my printer four times in five years, I am completely fed up with Epson.Your best bet, and mine, will be to buy a Canon printer because with each new ink cartridge you replace, you also replace the print head, so it does not suck (all of your ink and money) like an Epson.Don't spend too much money on garbage.

1-0 out of 5 stars Never buy an Epson Stylus again.:0(
I bought the Epson Stylus CX6600 all in one printer a little over a year ago.I thought I liked the fact of the DuraBrite ink and that was a big seller for me along with the copying function.I didn't use the printer much only had to change the ink cartridges a couple of times. The print quality declined drastically with lines on the pages. No matter what I did, they didn't disappear.Epson said to keep your printer turned off when not using. Then I went to print this weekend and my yellow ink was low.I changed it and it would only print blue.I changed ALL of my ink cartrides (which isn't cheap) and tried everything and the printer just died.Nothing would print.I tried service but it has just passed the year mark and I tried all of their "fixes" but they said that it would have to be serviced.Well, first of all, I never liked the print quality after about the first week and second of all the printer died for no reason. It is now just a big paper weight.I am looking at an HP Photosmart.I currently have NO printer because of the horrible quality of the Epson. For the amount of money you pay, you would expect the product to last past 2 or three ink changes!I have always had an HP printer and now I know why.:0) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Please College Student
I bought this all-in-one after my old HP D135 died after 3 heavy years of use and this thing couldn't be better.I have not had any of the problems others claim with the installation. It took me about 5 or 10 minutes to set up!Although many complain about the cost of the ink, I just changed mine from the original that it shipped with last week. The trick is to print it just under normal settings, the black still comes out great and it lasts way longer. The other thing I do to keep the cost of ink down is order third party ink, there are quite a few sellers and I've never been disappointed.
4-0 out of 5 stars I like this all in one.
I've had my 6210 for a while and I'm very happy with it.The only negative is the high cost of black ink per page.
1-0 out of 5 stars Simply Awful
After years of buying HP products, the 6210 has cured me forever from buying HP again. The software is horrible, the printer jams after just a few sheets, the cartriges are expensive and wear out quickly, and tech support is inaccessible.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good in many ways but also disappointing picture printing
I switched from an Epson when it stopped printing color properly, and I wanted a multi function inkjet for home use. Although I have liked my previous 2 Epsons, I decided against Epson because of a ribbon problem that occurs in various models (which happened to my husband's machine.) I also decided against HP because many consumer reviews mentioned paper jamming. Canon has very good reviews with Consumer Reports and on Amazon, and the price is very good.
5-0 out of 5 stars Canon PIXMA MP170 All-In-One Photo Printer Excellent
Easy setup, fast text printing, reasonable scanning/copying ... for the price, way exceeded my expectations for photo printing ... on good paper photos are very high quality!A great, bargain printer!

5-0 out of 5 stars canon printer
I am really happy with this printer.I have now had it for about 6 weeks. No problems so far.I think the printing quality for photos is great.I read the other reviews, which said that the photo quality left something to be desired, and I disagree. My only criticism is that it uses ink fast, so if you buy it, buy some ink refills at the same time.It seems to use up the color ink more quickly than the black.I also love the fact that it has a copier, which works great. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible reliability, horrible support
When this printer actually works, the output is beautiful. The problem is, you'll spend hours trying to get it to clear errors and print, not to mention tons of money on cartridges (because the only way we've found to clear one error is to put in new cartridges). We've tried the patches & fixes on HP's website, to no avail, and when we called tech support, they said they won't help us because we're out of warranty (printer slightly over 1 year old). We've always bought HP printers, but never again.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointment
We have had many good HP products and this one was a big disappointment. First of all, neither the copier or the scanner work, because of that you get frequent errors and it makes it difficult to even print things, so this printer has become an expencive book end.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Machine For the Money
I've had this printer for over a year now and I would recommend it to everyone. The only complaint I have is that the image zone software sucks and it always ends non responsive. I just use my other editing software. This printer has been dependable through two Christmas card printings (200 cards per year) Graduation announcements (200) and several other community projects I've been involved with. All of which have been at least 500 documents printed at once. I also use it for my everyday printing. It's actually my third HP, the 1200 series is a fine machine for the money it costs as well, I paid the top price for it when it was new and was still satisfied with the quality and ease of use. The first HP I had lasted 12 years, it would have lasted longer except for an unfortunate leaking incident which I caused. This is a great brand and a great machine for a beginner and a more experienced person. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars solid, working, and not expensive
I've had this printer hooked up to both my old iMac and my new MacBook. In the year so far that I've had it, I have been little to no problems with it and i have nothing but good things to say about it. It's solid and does what I need it to do.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible software
The software that comes with this printer is AWFUL.It hangs up for no reason and I have to reboot my PC to clear the print queue. It has annoying behavior, for example when you print double sided it immediately presents a popup window telling you to flip the pages when the first set it finished. The problem is you can't minimize this window and do something else on your pc.You have to wait until all pages finish printing. Extremely annoying.I have had to throw away two cartridges due to the "cartridge not intended" issue.I know I installed HPs patch after the first time, but it did not work. This is absolutely the last HP product I will ever buy.

1-0 out of 5 stars Paper Jams and Unrecognized Color Cartridge
Within a month of owning this printer the paper would not feed any longer and indicated a paper jam. After researching this problem I found out that it is common with this printer. As I really don't do that much printing so I decided to manually feed the paper as others have suggested until the ink cartridges ran out and then just get a new printer. The problem is that this printer was affected by the other common complaint another month later in that the color print cartridge was suddenly not recognized and the printer became stuck in error mode.So I threw the printer away and am trying another brand.Save yourself the trouble and try another brand also. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars OK but.....
I thought my old Epson all in one was slow but I think this is a close second....It goes thru all these gyrations just to print a page when I have printed a page just seconds before. It appears to be charging the ink but why this has to happen on almost every page is beyond me. And to copy you have to wait and wait also. I have to push the black "OK" button numerous times to get 1 page to print. AND....unless I use "fast print" there is so much ink on the paper that it smudges terribly. I'm still looking for a printer that was as reliable and fast as my old, old, old Epson 660 and I haven't found it yet. And HP is not the answer as I've discovered either.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Quality

I'm a college student who prints mostly text.Nevertheless, after seeing the convenience of having an All-in-One, I'd recommend investing a little more in a printer with more functions.I purchased this printer after my Epson C84 clogged. After looking at some inkjets, I decided to order this Canon based on price and reliability.

It used to be that you needed a separate machine for each of your needs. Thank goodness that's no longer the case. With multifunction machines like the SCX-4100 from Samsung, you can still get the high-quality results you have come to expect from separate peripherals, while saving both space and money. The SCX-4100 can print, copy, and scan, all in one easy-to-use machine.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Champion
This device might seem older to you than some of the fancier network multifunction printers; but I must say that the drivers are simple and don't take space in your ram.The HP software is enormous and is always wanting you to update it.Sorry too messy for me.Brother is the CHAMPION of the small to large office multifunction printers. For the price these can't be beat.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Truck Stop Fax Machine!
Our HP 4-in-one unit kept jamming and we were losing business. We asked out local computer repairman to replace the HP with a unit that provide better service and he brought us this Brother MFC-8220.What difference! This is a workhorse. The straight paper path is the main benefit as we have had no jams. These truckers bring all kinds of paperwork in to be faxed and this is important to us.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer
This Printer is Great for the Price. I have had it for nearly a month now and I share this printer between 2 comps and it keep on printing perfect. The first paper you print itl take about 30 sec to warm up but once thats done itll start throwing papers at you

1-0 out of 5 stars printer SUCKS!
I have two of these bought at the same time.... BOTH of these pieces of s@#$%t don't feed right and I've taken them back to Best Buy to fix them/replace them only to get them back doing the same thing... and it's too late for a refund.I feel like HP and Best Buy have my b@#$s in a vise!Don't buy it.

1-0 out of 5 stars extremely unreliable
The first problem with this printer is the hp software that comes with it.You must install a program that always runs in the background called the "digigal imaging monitor"this program causes our computer to run slowly and refuses to end itself about 50% of the time, causing the computer to freeze. Also, the printer itself always misfeeds or jams or feeds all the paper through, and you must constantly stand next to it and make sure the paper feeds correctly.Don't be fooled if it works well for the first few days, it will eventually break like it did for everyone else who wrote a review. It amazes me that a brand like HP would sell a piece of s*** like this.

1-0 out of 5 stars The most frustrating printer ever
This printer absolutely refuses to operate with any consistency. It either pulls a dozen sheets of paper from the tray and clogs itself up, or only one sheet about halfway, clogging itself again. Even babying it, trying to feed it one sheet at a time proves to be an exercise in frustration.

    Editorial Review

If you work at home or in a small office environment, the cost in both money and space of buying single-use machines can be prohibitively expensive. The MFC-210C from Brother delivers printing, copying, scanning, and faxing capabilities, allowing you to free up office space and combine all your important office tasks into one effective machine. With its small 3-picoliter droplet size, the MFC-210C delivers print resolutions of up to 6,000 x 1,200 dpi and print speeds of up to 20 ppm for black and up to 15 ppm for color. The easy-to-use, 100-page, front-loading paper tray accommodates sizes up to 8.5 by 14.0 inches, while a 25-sheet output paper tray accommodates most print jobs easily. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars I thought it was a great deal..
I bought this printer @ officemax for $53, checked 8-pack inks for $20 on ebay and I printed couple of maps and it worked really nicely. Until one day, I realized it couldnt handle powerpoint of large size (~100mb). I reduced the size into 4mb but it still couldnt handle this job. It is so important to me since I need color slides for my class. I am a bit disapointed despite of the price of it and it's inks.

5-0 out of 5 stars It's the ink that's the true cost not the printer - Brother is a good deal
Please read the complete review -- Printers are sold at or near the cost of making them -- the profits are in the ink. This Brother will run on cheap ( $2 ) aftermarket ink cartridges. That is the true cost of a printer. The cartridges that it takes are just clear plastic containers with ink in them, no foam inside to dry out or logic chips to lock them up when you run out of ink and try to refill them. You can also reset the ink level in software. If you understand about technical end of things you will understand how nice this is. Before you complain about the price of gasoline think about how much you pay for the few teaspoons of ink in that 20 dollar black ink cartridge and even more for color
2-0 out of 5 stars Oh Brother!
Okay, I'll admit it. I bought this with the idea that it had a lot of functions at a great price. Unfortunately, other than looking kind of cute and being a decent copier/printer (not great, just decent), this machine is a dud! It is nearly impossible to read the panel display unless either you or the MFC-210C are situated at an unusual angle (and I am NOT exaggerating), the fax machine AND the scanner are ridiculously complicated to use and instead of having an easily accessible owner's manual, you're stuck with the cheaper to distribute CD. And when you do access the owner's manual/user's guide it's so darn complicated and hard to understand that you'll wish you'd bought a book on pathology instead. Sure, if you take the time you can figure it all out, but let's face it, in today's fast-paced world, why should you have to?

2-0 out of 5 stars Unhappy with Epson service
I purchased the Epson Stylus Photo RX620 in July 2006. After running less than 200 copies the machine had ink all over the inside and on the paper feeder.
1-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this printer!
Similar to other reviews, the ink usage on this thing is ridiculous.Switching over to lower quality settings does little to help the tremendous drain on ink and my wallet.Print quality is OK, but I would expect it to be much better given the price. This will be my last Epson printer. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Satisfied with this printer.
I have nothing negative to say about this printer. It works perfectly and I have had no problems. It is quiet and much quicker than my last printer so I am happy. My ink runs out fast but thats because my 8 year old seems to think she has to print everything she sees.[...]Just wanted to pass this info because I am sure there is someone out there that appreciates saving money as much as I do! :)

4-0 out of 5 stars Just a quick tip from a full-time computer specialist...
I own this printer and have not had any problems with it.The ink is somewhat short-lived, but the key here (like with any printer) is to set your settings appropriately, which it's clear that some of these reviewers have not done.
