5-0 out of 5 stars Does it all well. With document feeder!
Very happy with mine. Tried other brand, but it was terrible. This HP is great so far (few months of use). What is really nice is the document feeder....when you fax multiple sheets, you can do it in one quick call.
4-0 out of 5 stars Very good all-in-one for average home user!
I bought this printer for use at home. We are average (and environmentally friendly) users who print just a few pages per day and several photographs a month (4x6 and 8x10) since we have a toddler. This machine is used mostly for scanning and printing; and occasionally for fax.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not Good with a MAC
I thought the actual print quality was very good, but that's not why I bought this unit.I need to be able to scan directly to my word processing program and this machine cannot do that.Despite what it says on the box about OCR capabilities, and ability to work with Mac OS X, it NO LONGER includes the OCR software with the machine. There is a READIRIS software registration form included in the packaging, but according to the HP Tech line they don't offer it any longer. The software would cost an additional $129 online, or $129 plus tax/shipping etc.I returned the machine. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent - very happy
After reading reviews here I hesitated but happened to see the same machine (but without duplex capability) at a work site and that clinched it for me.
2-0 out of 5 stars Watch Out for Power Consumption
Great Printer with lots of neat features.HOWEVER, the printer uses 1024 WATTS or 9.1 Amps when it powers up to print a page or make a copy. This has caused me alot of problems.
4-0 out of 5 stars Fatal Flaw
I have had several Brother MFC's throughout the years. All of them have had a by-pass where one could feed either an envelope or a sheet of labels through the front of the machine, open a door in the back of the machine and then print with a straight paper path so the envelope doesn't get rinkled and the labels don't start to come off the carrier sheet, which is especially important if one uses Stamp.com's labels where the same sheet of labels may be printed on up to 10 or more times as one uses up the each label. Other than the foregoing DESIGN FLAW, its a good machine but for me, this is a FATAL FLAW so I took it back to Office Depot. It was interesting to get the reaction of a couple of techs at Brother as they too couldn't believe the engineers forgot this critical function! I will just have to be satisfied with my MFC-8440 until they come out with a new 30 page per minute duplexing machine with the old by-pass capability. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars BROTHER DOES IT ALL FOR LITTLE $$
I HAVE OWNED EVERY TYPE OF ALL-IN-ONES OR MFCS OUT THERE AND BROTHER IS THE BEST. ALL PRINTERS ARE GOING TO HAVE PAPER JAMS OR SMALL HICK-UPS HERE AND THERE, NEVER HAD A PRINTER THAT HASN'T. BROTHER IS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE AND DOES THE BEST FOR MY SMALL OFFICE. I WILL NEVER USE HP OR CANON AGAIN! BROTHER IS THE BEST AND SO IS THE PRICE OF TONER!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer for the Price
I have had the MFC-7420 now for 6 months.I have bee nothing but pleased with the performance of this machine.I have used the copy function frequently and the fax function about 6 times.I like that the fax machine portion of it can recognize and accept an incoming fax or just act normal if it is a regular phone call.It prints very quickly and printouts are crisp and clear.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good, But...
i won't duplicate what others have said in previous reviews.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very happy Techno Challenged
I am the queen of the techno challenged.I found this printer extremely easy to install and use.I am ordering my 3rd one.I originally purchased one for myself, then one for my daughter and now one for my new showroom.I am a kitchen designer and use it to print up my CAD designs as well as my before and after pictures.I must admit that I haven't used the machine to its full potential, but for what I have done it is super. One of the things I like the most is the individual ink cartridges. Some colors I use fairly quickly and would have to replace all of the colors in other units instead of just the ones I need. This is a major cost savings.I can not give this a higher rating. If you want a machine that is easy to install and use, with lots of versitility...this one is for you!

1-0 out of 5 stars Paper Feeder Issue...still unresolved
I bought the HP Photosmart 3210 about 6 months ago. The print quality, scanning function, and copy funtion all passed with flying colors. However, those qualities come second to actually having the printer function as expected.I too started having a paper feed problem (as you can see from many, many of the reviews).I am now on my THIRD replacement (remanufactured) printer...and still having the same "out of paper" error when the paper tray is full. It takes me about 30-90 seconds to print one page, if the printer decides to accept the paper you put in the paper tray.I have come to the conclusion that the HP front loading paper technology has some apparent flaws.I just gave up on getting the FOURTH replacement printer offered by HP and bought a comparable Epson.I am sticking with the top-loading paper technology that I know actually works.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buy an extended warranty from someone OTHER than HP
I bought the HP3210 to replace an HP all-in-one printer-scanner-copier-fax that died after only 2 years. The scanner head on my orignal printer would hang up and "click" on startup - an issue I have since read is not uncommon with that particular model. After numerous calls with HP support, they offered me the typical sell for an exchanged reconditioned unit, but I wan't interested in buying someone else's broken printer, so I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a new one.I had been really happy with the print quality of my first HP, so I decided to give them another chance.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific Printer for the Money; Handles the Basics Well
I also did plenty of research and bottom line ... I was looking for a multi-function (printer, fax, copy, scan) that did wireless out of the box without any added print server hardware and so forth. I purchased it for slightly over $200 from Amazon. This unit worked great out of the box. The wireless config was a breeze and the color screen made configuration especially easy. It prints well, copies well, and the software for the PC seems to work nicely and simply. This is not a top of the line multi-function ... but if you need quick and easy wireless printing, decent print quality, and don't print huge volume ... this is a nice choice.

    4-0 out of 5 stars Good All-In-One!
The HP 4215 has been a good reliable printer/fax/copier for my home office.Software was easy to install and very user friendly. My only complaints are that it does not print well with UPS software/labels.Shipping info is often cut off and printed beyond the label borders. The ink cartridges are very small.Plan on replacing or refilling the black ink once a month with moderate printing/faxing/copying.Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
Bought this as I needed a good cheap printer to print and maybe fax occasionally.

1-0 out of 5 stars Tough to operate
I want to express my frustration with the HP OfficeJet people. You sould all be fired.
4-0 out of 5 stars A HOME or SMALL office all in one printer
An all in one printer tries to be something to everyone. This one does have a wealth of features which in a home environment are quite a bit beyond what one would have got a few years ago. And when attached via the USB using the latest software, I have found them all to work.
1-0 out of 5 stars HP OfficeJet 7310 is an Expensive Piece of Garbage
I have had this printer for a couple of years.I don't know why.I bought it elsewhere. The automatic feeder does not feed properly.Never did.The software that came with it deletes pages scanned if it runs into a problem (which it often does), so if you have been scanning a document for 20 minutes (improbable but it happens once in a while) and the scanner runs into a problem - bye bye pages and you have to start all over again.

4-0 out of 5 stars The (almost) perfect Multi-function printer!
This was my third Brother MFC printer. I was trying to replace my current MFC9600 that has been been excellent for more than 5 years. I wanted the duplex functionality, the better print quality, as well as the some of the additional features.
3-0 out of 5 stars No warnings on the box - but good enough!
Oh how I wanted this, I like brother printers - and a wireless one that supports OS9 OSX, and Windows too, USB, wireless, or ethernet - wowee! Then I opened the box, does not do wireless with OS9. Oh well, then I plugged it in and every UPS in my office chimed and the lights flickered when I turn it on. Yep, even plugged straight into the wall, this room heater uses 9.1 Amps, and I bet 11 when it first powers up. So, this just won't work in an average home office - we have 15 amp lines - a few computers, a TV, a radio, a light, and that can add up to 7 amps - add this fax machine and pop a breaker. I never got a chance to test it, but it sure sounds good. If you have a 20-amp circuit, or can dedicate a 15-amp circuit to it, I'm sure it's a great machine.

2-0 out of 5 stars outof paper
This printer is SO frustrating. I've been fighting the error "out of paper" for several weeks. Office Depot told me i needed to clean the rollers. Seems to be a common problem. Don't buy this printer.

    5-0 out of 5 stars Great All-In-One
This printer works great!I have not had any problems with this printer.Text and photos are excellent quality.Copies and scans are good.I really like the ability to copy, scan and fax without having to turn on my computer.
3-0 out of 5 stars Generally excellent but some problems with Mac software
After 6 months of experience with the 3310 running in a Macintosh environment, I am delighted with some of its features.Photo prints are magnificent.Document printing, scanning, copying, and faxing all work perfectly.Wireless communication is great. But a friend and I have noted the same two problems with three 3310 printers shipped from different vendors, i.e., these are design problems.1) The OCR feature listed in the specifications worked with the original software but not with the last two updates. The workaround described on the HP website doesn't fix the problem. 2) Scanning of negatives produces worthless results despite some improvement with the last software upgrade. This appears to be a software problem because negative scanning worked OK when the same printer was running on a Windows computer.HP Support tried to help, but disappeared when it became apparent their help didn't solve the problems. If HP could fix these two problems, I'd give this printer 10 stars. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Brother MFC-5440CN
Incredibly poor user's Manual.Nothing on how to use the scanner function (refers you the CD -- most multi-use machines have a very easy to use scanning function -- NOT this one!
1-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this printer
I bought this printer less than a month ago and its already not working right. The paper keeps jamming. The paper tray is jammed and won't come out of the printer. I tried using the other paper feed and I get the same response that the paper is jammed. I wish I had paid attention to the amazon reviewer who mentioned the paper jam problem. This is my first and last time buying Brother.

    2-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRICE-GOOD COPIES-POOR QUALITY
Purchased this machine about 6 months ago. It worked great until about 2 weeks ago. The red ink stopped printing. The Brother repair shop thinks it's either a bad print head or a faulty circuit board- he's unsure as to which...Yes, it's covered under warranty, but I'm reluctant to keep it after repairs. I probably printed less than 2 reams of paper before the problem started. Fax works very good; Scanner works OK but the paper port software is mickey mouse. B&W copy speed on best quality is slow, on normal quality it's slightly better. I will probably sell on Ebay at a loss, count my blessings and buy the Canon Pixma that I debated on before the Brother purchase. ... Read more

We use it as a network printer connected to a wireless ethernet. My partners also agree it is a great machine that delivers outstanding color and B&W high-quality documents simply and quick. The automatic document-feeder saves much time and let users copy multi-pages documents without attendance. Only one complain: there is no possible to receive faxes if the machine is off given that it has no "stand-by" mode. On the other hand, we are already dealing with the copy legal-size documents issue. Our HP-7210 is +1,800 copyes as far and still doing well. We are very satisfied.

    5-0 out of 5 stars Best 5 in 1 I've every owned
Easy to use, Easy Setup, Fast printing, Faxing, Photocopying - I love it!Best electronic purchase I've boughten in a long time!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great printer/copier/fax--weak color scanner
I got a great deal on this refurbished multifunction laser printer and am mostly very happy with it after a few weeks light use. It has the features I wanted (except duplexing which was another price jump up), but I honestly can't say I've put it to a real test yet.
4-0 out of 5 stars Incorrectly configured from the factory
I had to a replacement MFC shipped because the first one would not answer fax calls. When the second one arrived, it had the same problem!

1-0 out of 5 stars GARBAGE is NOW DEFINED as THIS PRINTER
PLEASE this is a warning! Do not buy this printer!!! Avoid at all costs!! HP tech support is useless and clueless. I had it for 3 days when it started jamming 100% of the time. PLUS, as a graphic designer I need my output to be tru to scale, this junk prints a 4 inch square as a 4.125 inch square! It does NOTHING good, plus it ran out of color ink after 40 pages!!
1-0 out of 5 stars Very Aggravating
I've had one of these printers for 6 months, and the paper feed problems have grown to the point where nothing will print without jams, feeding problems and more grey hairs.I spent 30 minutes online with HP's chat technician which were utterly worthless, and decided to return this today and get a new and different printer.I've had many printers in the past, and always been very happy with HP products before, but this one has been a disastor. There is apparently a paper feeder cleaning kit that HP will send that may or may not fix the problem, but after 30 minutes of trying to get the tech to send me one, I have given up on it!I have tried two different brands of good quality paper, and had the same problems with both.Buyer beware!

1-0 out of 5 stars PAPER JAMS
This printer is awful. I have researched complaints about the 2575 and found tons of consumers with the same paper feed/jam problems. Not only does it take forever getting something printed because of the thing not grabbing the paper, but once it finally decides to feed it chews it up, causing almost half of the pages to be ruined. Great, more money for hp- paper.

5-0 out of 5 stars Champion
This device might seem older to you than some of the fancier network multifunction printers; but I must say that the drivers are simple and don't take space in your ram.The HP software is enormous and is always wanting you to update it.Sorry too messy for me.Brother is the CHAMPION of the small to large office multifunction printers. For the price these can't be beat.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Truck Stop Fax Machine!
Our HP 4-in-one unit kept jamming and we were losing business. We asked out local computer repairman to replace the HP with a unit that provide better service and he brought us this Brother MFC-8220.What difference! This is a workhorse. The straight paper path is the main benefit as we have had no jams. These truckers bring all kinds of paperwork in to be faxed and this is important to us.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Printer
This Printer is Great for the Price. I have had it for nearly a month now and I share this printer between 2 comps and it keep on printing perfect. The first paper you print itl take about 30 sec to warm up but once thats done itll start throwing papers at you

2-0 out of 5 stars Good but Ink Eater
Works good with all features, but usage of Ink is aweful.I bought it 6 months ago, and printed like 50 pages max, and it ran out of INK.INK is very expensive compared to the actual printer price.Dont buy it.

1-0 out of 5 stars piece of ****
Broke in less than a year. brother customer service is a joke. wont replace machine, give you the run around, pathetic. buy anything else

1-0 out of 5 stars Software glitch
We initially bought this for scanning purposes (and not as a fax machine or copier or printer). The scanner when it works, works like a champ. But if you develop a problem with it, no matter how many computer you switch this to..the product has a problem with the 'feeder' as i was told by Office depot. They have received a few back from customers. I'd invest in another brother product. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars The worst printer I've ever owned.
Do not purchase this printer! I have only owned this printer for a year, and here is a list of the problems I have had with it in this short time:
2-0 out of 5 stars SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH AN EPSON!
Purchased from Apple store and wouldn't recommend. Can't get fax function to work automatically because of answering machine and therefore still have to switch on and off to receive faxes.Scanning ability is not user friendly as far as switching quality of scan and then editing image.Copy function is fine for 1 page.Sound's harsh I know and it prints fine, just so many better/more user friendly options out there.

1-0 out of 5 stars HP makes me SAD. Here is a Pro/Cons List.
I have had the 2610 for about a year now. To communicate my experience/opinion of the HP 2610, I will make a Pro/Cons list. I realize my review may be one-sided, but I am only speaking from experience.
