Awesome Projector
Dont be fooled by the low price of this projector. I have a movie room i just built and got everything but a projector i researched many and for the quality i wanted i was looking at 2000 dollars. I found this and was amazed when hooking it up to my xbox 360 in HD and my Comcast HD cable box. Watching the red sox game is a blast at 150 inches. Even at that big the quality is better than a 6000 dollar plasma. If you are building a entertainment room it is perfect.

Great deal, great projector!
I was looking to upgrade to a newer projector later on in the year but was fortunate enough to receive one of these BenQ MP610 babies as a gift from my father-in-law. He had bought the MP610 (without consulting me first) and discovered how confusing the device can be to setup even for the experienced projector user and more so for the inexperienced user.
FANTASTIC
When I first began searching for projectors, I saw them only as a very distant alternative to a flat-panel.I wanted to save space in my room and spend less than $700, so I figured a flat-panel display would be perfect for me.However, when I went searching for these TV's I realized the biggest screen I was going to get (for my budget) was somewhere between 23"-30" (if I wanted something with half-decent picture).At this point, I started looking for something I had previously only dreamed about, a projector.But I still only wanted to spend under $700.Needless to say, I spent many hours online searching for a projector to match both my price specifications and quality.I narrowed my selection down to 3 or 4, the MP610 eventually won me over.I have had this projector only for this long 4th of July weekend, but I have tried my best to put it through its paces.Currently, I have everything connected to the Mp610, inclding: cable, Ps2, VCR, and my laptop.All look fanastic.The only problem I have with the Mp610 is the lack of connections that came with it.I had a hell of a time connecting the audio (through computer speakers), and spent about $75 on misc. wires and connections.If you know your AV equipment than this item should be a fun challenge (as i thought it was), but if you don't then maybe get a more user friendly projector.Overall, this is a great buy (so far), and I have no real complaints.The projector looks great, runs quiet (but a little hot), and the picture is fantastic for the price.

A Step Back?
The earlier version of this label printer (KL-750) would allow you to print two lines on 9mm tape. This "upgrade" apparently does not. The 750 would automatically reduce the font size when you pressed the carriage return. I can't believe Casio would take away functionality like that. It can print two lines, but only on 12mm tape.
Great Product - Cartridges expensive!
I've used a couple inexpensive label machines - and like this one by far.Full keyboard, pretty common sense function.

Great Wireless Mouse
I'm an IT director at a high school and we have tested over a dozen wireless mice from cheap IR mice to expensive RF mice. This mouse is by far the best at the under $100 price and works fine for all of our applications. Some things we like: 1) It doesn't require any drivers in Windows! Some other mice worked well but the drivers required were awful. 2) It is very nicely designed with the transmitter fitting nicely into the mouse and shutting the mouse off. 3) Great battery life on a single 2025 silver oxide--the fact that the transmitter placed in the unit shuts it off probably helps a lot. 4) Nice button layout with left, right on top, left button on bottom, and right button on top. 5) Has a decent laser pointer. The only negative is that the circular button used to move the mouse is a bit sluggish, but I found this was true with EVERY wireless mouse, even the most expensive.

Worth the cost
I wanted a new presentation device that was plug-and-play, included a mouse controller, could work away from the receiver, and connected via USB. My old Logitech presenter had a traditional mouse port connector, which meant it no longer worked on modern laptops (even with a new connector). I have found the Pilot Pro very good at fulfilling my requirements and highly recommend it. The only concern I have is that the mouse control button moves more slowly that what I have been used to. Thus it will take me more time to get used to it. The Pilot Pro is a great improvement over the older presenters in that you can move much further from the receiver than before and has a built-in previous slide button. I like the fact that the receiver fits inside the Pilot Pro and automatically preserves battery power when inserted. It has a 2.4 GHz RF. I am pleased to say it did not interfere with my DSL modem when I tried it at home. The battery is a coin battery, which costs over a dollar, but is worth the cost if the battery lasts 6 months, as promised. The Pilot Pro also will fit comfortably in anyone's hand. I may revise this review after I use the device several times.

Works great except when not working!
I purchased this product based on the reviews of this product and others.The unit seemed to work great - at first.However, the battery seems to lose connection with the contacts.This occurred everytime I used the remote.In order to get the remote working again, you have to pull out the little battery tray and re-insert it.I returned the item and purchased a LogiTech Cordless Presenter.It uses AAA batteries which are much easier to come by.The LogiTech remote works great.I've used it several times without any difficulty. ... Well worth it!!
I've been using this projector for 6 months now.Not just for movies but regular tv (also HDTV) and xbox 360.I have about 600 hours on the bulb.A few times the unit didn't want to turn on and I thought the bulb had burned out (see other reviews) but I let it sit for a couple of minutes and it turned on with no problems.In my opinion, DVD's, xbox and the HD channels are projected beautifully!I never knew a projector could look so good.With the price of this projector continually falling, the deal just gets better and better.My neighbor spent $3,500 on a 50" plasma, I don't think his picture (HD) is any better than mine and less than half the size (my screen is a 120" widescreen).I spent a total of $2,400 for my projector, screen and cables.Even if I have to buy 2 bulbs a year it will take over 2 years before I equal what he paid and I've still got twice the screen size!I'll take that anytime!!
excellent construction, so-so image
This is not a noisy unit, that I can tell. Ceiling-installed is completely "invisible" to the audience.The only time I hear the fan is after turning the unit off.
HOME THEATER NIRVANA
The bottom line with this player is that it runs circles around virtually any LCD, Plasma or DLP TV setup you'll ever see at those big-box electronics stores. AND it's cheaper than any of them! It is as good (or bad) as the quality of the signal you feed into it.

Two defective units so far
The first unit had a non-functional control panel.Except the power button, pressing other buttons on the unit had no effect.Pressing the menu key on the remote brought up the menu but nothing could be selected.The picture could be displayed but was in a distorted shape.Nothing could be adjusted.The unit overheated after 10 minutes of use and turned itself completely off without leaving the fan running.
Repeated failures
ViewSonic has replaced my brand new PJ458D model projector three times, and the current one has also failed after 10-30 minutes. In each case, the lamp shuts down and cannot be restarted until it cools. Several times the fan also shut down with the lamp, shortening the life of the bulb. This has been frustrating to the extreme and the company has offered no explanation. I will not accept another of this model, nor recommend it to anyone. ... Read more

Extremely POOR Quality laminates
I would be very wary of the positive reviews on this product.I find it hard to believe that such a piece of garbage could be thought of so highly.First off, you must hold the top down to get the item being laminated through the machine.This would be a minor inconvenience if this was the only problem.The really bad news is that the laminate bubbles horribly, and it is hazy rather than clear.How anyone would use this for photos is beyond me.Next, the magnetic backing doesn't stick at all to whatever your laminating. It just falls right off.There is absolutely nothing worthwhile about this piece of junk.I bought this based on the reviews of the others here.Shame on them for misleading people in this way.If you want to use this as an arts and crafts type of toy for pre-kindergarteners, maybe.For serious use, never.Spend the extra money and get a quality heat laminating machine.

Great for the Kids!
My kids love crafts and this little Backster has been a wonderful addition to our craft project collection.In the past, their paper projects have been thrown out after awhile because the edges get frayed or the entire item gets torn.Not anymore!They simply laminate their finished project and we can keep it forever!The machine is also a great size - very small -so storage is not a problem either.If you have kids who enjoy crafts or photography, you need the Backster!

Lots of uses!
I bought this little multi-finisher to apply adhesive to photos and other items for my scrapbooks.I have since come up with all different uses.There are 5 different cartridges and I use them all.I've made magnets out of photos, special stickers for my children's school projects and I've laminated all my recipe cards. Good product for the price.
It performs adequately for my use. I am trying to laminate single sheet instructions for my wood working tools and guides, so the instructions do not fade or get lost.

The Job Laminator
The 3M LS950-E Laminating System by 3M, is great and saves time. I have used this item for over a year, I have completed programs, and made a book for my pastors family with memoriable pictures of his wife and their mother before she passed away. It was unexpected and she had 12 living children. We took so many pictures during church activities, to where I had picutures they did not, and they had pictures they wanted to share with other family members. I was so busy trying to complete these books before family members left town, but with this great machine and continuous lamination paper, I had no problem. I could tell by looking before it ran out without messing up paper and valuable time. This machine is good for quick, small and big jobs. I use it for my daugheters certificates and my own. I have also talked my job into purchasing two for the office we have 450 employees and they love to have things given to them to show we appreciate their hard work, lamination help your memories last forever. Cool
I have a different laser pointer than this one. But I cant seem to find anything that resembles mine. My laser comes with 4 extra heads witch feature: a lady in a dress.(?) A UFO looking thing, some dude that looks like a clown or the gingerbread man or something, and a bunch of swirly lines. this thing is really cool and I got it at the Butler Fair. It came with all that I have mentioned for only 2 dollars! Thats a bargain! I really want everyone to have this awesome product.

Inconsistent quality
I just bought three laser pointers from two different sources through Amazon, and the quality is not the same. Two from performancepda_com were ok ($14.95) and one place that did not come with 42 head which cost <$9.50 was useless. Terrible quality of the laser beam. Cannot see far at all and the beam was narrow. Overall, very poor quality for presentation purpose. If you use for fun, then it is ok.

Great price....Great unit........
I've owned an Infocus X1 for 3 or 4 years now. Besides the color wheel noise that happened last year, it was always a great projector. Infocus repaired the unit under warranty and even upgraded my firmware so I had more features. Recently I decided that I'd like to buy something new since the extended warranty period was up on the X1.
Good for business, bad for home
I purchased this projector to watch movies at home and have not been pleased with its performance.Our DVD inventory includes both 4x3 and 16x9 formats.As this is a dedicated 3x4 projector, DVDs that are 16x9 will have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.If you have a dedicated 16x9 screen, like I have, this will not work if you like a clean image at the edge of the screen.If I mount the projector to fill the screen, then the 4x3 DVD image is projected above and below the screen.Perhaps I don't have it setup correctly, but that was the best I could do.Specs say this projector has component video inputs, which it does.However, they are part of the monitor input jack and you have to spend another $20.00 for an adapter to connect to them.Our family room is 12 X 23 and the fan is too loud when you have the bulb in high setting - you do get a great picture, though.We could barely hear the fan in low setting but the room has to be VERY dark to get a decent picture.Projector comes with a CD that has the manual and a neat screen size calculator that figures the distance from the screen the projector should be located.

So far this has been a good buy. I am Mark Tucker, the assistant pastor at Old Orchard Church in St. Louis, MO. This DP was a great find because it does exactly what we need it too. We don't need the extreme high definition images, but we want something that looks good and enlarges well. It does get a bit hot after 2 hours of straight use, but I am not sure that this is a problem. Not Durable
My wife used hers no more than 4 times and it burned up.She was not using very heavy at one time.This unit was just not up to standards we set, but for the money, I guess you get what you pay for.

I am in the process of looking to return.The seal is not so good, so you have to run it through the machine a couple of times.In addition, the lamination has ridges in it.It isn't a smoothe finish (and it isn't air pockets??) ... Read more

Great Projector!
I purchased this projector about three months ago, and I have to say I LOVE IT! I read many reviews before making my purchase, and I read a lot about fan noise, and a lot of technical jargon that I didn't understand. The bottom line is, this projector is GREAT, for the price. I run all my video through it, sattelite tv, DVD, etc., and the only thing I have to say is that, as long as you put a good, clean signal into it, you will NOT be disappointed. It is very unforgiving of a bad signal, I assume because of how incredibly large the image is. For example, I ran my son's PS2 through the VCR (yes I still have one)and played a game on it, and it looked HORRIBLE! But watching sports, or a good DVD, it looks awesome. I would recommend this projector to anyone looking to break into the projector market. Sure there are more expensive ones, with more features, etc., but you can't beat this one for the price!

Great Picture- Not so good for the long haul
I just returned my second projector in 6 months. I replaced my TV with this projector & have loved the larger than life images and great quality. Unfortunately, the DLP light only lasts about 3 months of 2-3 hours of TV a day. The replacement bulbs are expensive at over $300.00 each on-line. DO NOT BUY THIS LAMINATOR. The first one I bought broke and the replacement broke the first time I used it. Waste of time and money.
