4-0 out of 5 stars Great for PowerPoint, but not for Corel
I do a great deal of public speaking, but usually use Corel Presentations instead of PowerPoint (for numerous reasons which I won't describe here!).I have an older and cheaper Targus remote device which has a very simple array of functions, and it works well with both programs. The features and range of the Logitech convinced me to give it a try, hoping it would work with Corel--but it doesn't (and converting from a Corel file to PPT tends to botch the bullet animations). The plus is that it works flawlessly with PowerPoint.Bottom line: for those faithful few who use Corel, this is not the device for you--unless another reviewer out there can tell me how to get this to work!

5-0 out of 5 stars It DO have "Resume" function on button "F5/Esc"
Just bought this wonderful "toy" and played around for few minutes. Unlike other reviewers' complains, I found two things need to point out:
5-0 out of 5 stars The best one by far...
I've owned 3 other remote clickers, and this one is the best by far.For starters, it uses AAA batteries which are easy to procure and replace, whereas other models use those little quarter-size batteries that require a special trip to Radio Shack to buy.Plus, AAA's hold more juice to begin with, AND this clicker has an on/off switch, whereas others turn off on their own after time without use, meaning after they drain the battery! The transmitter on this clicker has plenty of power to reach the back of the computer/USB receiver stub from long distances, whereas others require the presenter to be close to the computer because they transmit a weak signal. The form factor of this one is perfect in your hand and the buttons are easily used, even by people unfamilar with it -- it's very intuitive. It has a very useful timer/clock that allows me to watch how much time I have left to finish my presentation -- it will also vibrate in my hand with 5 minutes to go, 2 minutes to go, and when my time is up.It allows me to add more time on the fly. This remote clicker is absolutely perfect in every way, and I can't tell you how many colleagues have purchased one after they tried mine.Don't waste your money on anything else -- they really got it right in all the human factors/UI aspects and all the engineering aspects when they made this. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars WOrks well.
Works well. SOmetimes, it flakes out and i have to uninstall USB drivers, to get it to work again.
4-0 out of 5 stars Works fine so far
I just got this remote today. I plugged in the RF receiver to my laptop, opened up a powerpoint presentation and it worked! There was not much else to it. The instructions say that if you are a Windows user you need some kind of software and if you are a Mac user then you dont need the software but I think that might be the other way around because I am a windows user and I didnt need any software. I look forward to using it so that I can actually move around while I teach. Be careful... the switch that you use to advance forward is quite sensitive. I get the feeling I will accidentally moving forward more than one slide quite a bit.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great remote - works as advertised
I bought this remote to use both giving PowerPoint presentations and demonstrate other software applications in front of an audience.Having the ability to use the little trackball on the presentation remote, allows me to move away from the computer and walk out in the audience - allowing for a more interactive presentation.

5-0 out of 5 stars awesome!
I was about to purchase the Kensington 33062 (released in 2003) since the customer reviews were well above average and I knew the brand was pretty reliable. I called Circuit City for a price check, and if they had any special deals. Fortuntately the Representative informed me they were out of stock (discontinued item) but kensington's newest remote was available.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a steal - get yours
The picture is great even at daylight. You can hook it up to your DVD player and enjoy a real movie experience right at home. The repalcement bulbs are cheaper than other brands. This is a great buy.
5-0 out of 5 stars This projecter Is AWSOME
First things first this projector will give you the same picture quality of a $1500.00 - $2000.00 projector. It is durable and looks great in my living room. I get an awesome picture in the day time and even better at night. The fact that the picture is good in the daylight makes this a wonderful buy. Any projector you find with 2000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2000:1 that is under $800.00 is a steal. Acer is an off brand but they deliver top quality. The best part is you HD TV and movies at a fraction of the cost. My wife and I love playing Xbox 360 on 9-foot screen there is nothing like HD video games. Most HD TV's start at $800.00 for a 27 inch which will burn out or get dead pixels in 2 -3 years with a projector like this one you start with a low cost with great value and if the bulb goes out after about 4,000 hours /166 days of straight use with out cutting it off replace the bulb for $150.00 - $200.00 bucks and you still save over a HD TV. Once again my Xbox 360 games look better with this projector than any HD TV I have ever seen them on. All I can say is WOW. HD up to 1080i 1080p (grapes to grape juice) is over rated any way. It also comes with a cool carrying case and all of the adaptors you need but hdmi.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great entry-level projector
I have been using my H31 for a month and can honestly say that I am completely satisfiedI use it in a room with high ambient light.Out of the box the projector was less that dazzling.Calibrating with an AVIA calibration disk and then constructing my own screen (plastic wallboard painted with Behr Silverscreen paint) gives me a projected image which is very good in high ambient light and phenomenal in a darkened room. For the price ($699-Visual Apex) this 480p unit can't be beat. Those who are unsatisfied in well lit rooms need to calibrate and consider alternate screens.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great bargain in the home theater projector maze
I did a lot of research before buying a projector and DVD player for our basement theater. I have run 16mm and 8mm films for 30 years and was leary of video projection. I finally decided on the H31 because most of what we watch are old 3:4 black and white movies on DVD. I don't like TV and have no interest in watching HD programming. I did purchase the upscaling Oppo 971 DVD player to get the film-like look.
3-0 out of 5 stars decent price but not very impressed with picture
This is a entry level projector, not suitable for prime time cinema experience. I bought it at VisualApex but did not like the picture quality. Picture with HDMI looks better but it is not very good with component video input. We are not very satisfied with this product but could not return it due to 20% restocking fee on VisualApex.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great buy for any reason!
I used to buy those cheap $[...] red laser pointers at gun shows and flea markets, just to have some fun, but the batteries didn't last long enough and the beam wasn't bright at all, not to mention that it made more of an oval dot than round.I bought this one thinking that it would be really cool because it was green.I thought the high price tag was pushing it just for a little green dot, but it is much more than I thought it would be.The beam is clearly visible in the dark and you can even see the dot on the blackest street in the middle of a sunny day.The range is incredible and makes street signs reflect hreen shimmers!I love it!A much better buy than those crappy red ones, and the AAA batteries are easy to replace and last much longer!

5-0 out of 5 stars great laser pointer, but not for kids
Before I say anything else, let me say that this is not for kids.I would not recommend to anybody that they let a kid handle one of these, unless under strict supervision.
5-0 out of 5 stars MUCH brighter than a red pointer!
I ordered this laser mainly for star parties and because I had heard that green lasers were so much brighter than red ones, it's VERY true! This laser puts all my other pointers to shame. The dot is clearly visible in bright sunlight on buildings as far as a mile away and the beam is very visible in the night sky. True, it's not as bright as commercial laser light shows but it certainly fills my needs. Very Satisfied! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A superb unit.
I have owned an Optoma EP 719 XGA projector for about a year and find it an impressive unit for the price. However, when Optoma released the HD 70, a full 720p projector, for under $1000, I had to buy it. The projector is light, but substantially-constructed with a sturdy gloss white case.I was immediately impressed with the quality of the build.
5-0 out of 5 stars Wrong Photo
I'm not sure what projector is being shown but as of 10-16-06, the preview image is not the hd70. Hopefully this will be fixed by the time you read this. ;-)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Projector!
The Epson Powerlite 76C LCD Projector is awesome, and working perfectly and easily for what I need.I project my laptop on the wall for various demos of software, and everybody loves the clarity and crispness of this projector.I've even watched about 4 movies on it, some for my kids, and it's better than I ever imagined.
5-0 out of 5 stars Super Road Warrior Gear
PROS: This light weight projector is no lightweight in the conference room. As an independent trainer, this projector has proven invaluable in ease of setup, use and transport. I was drawn to it by the price but I just get more pleased with it every time I use it. Not only has this been great on the job, it has transformed my living room wall into a giant theater. For its cost, this machine has great specs.
4-0 out of 5 stars Nice projector
Of all the LCD projectors this one gives the most bang for the buck, and I definitely would rather have the slight screen door effect than the rainbow effect on the DLP type. The only complaint I have so far, after a week of use, is that the fan on high speed, needed here due to the altitude, is much louder than I would have expected. I can run the projector in the low light mode, but the 7,500' altitude requires high speed fan operation. No one ever cited that in reviews. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works very well, burns batteries
If you want a simple, straightforward presenter to click through Powerpoint slides, this one works very well.I bought it at Staples after my old presenter died.Installation is very simple, completely plug and play, and it worked right away. Buttons for advancing slides, for going backward, blanking screen, for the laser pointer, and another I haven't used so I can't remember what it is for. I have not tried to use it for anything besides Powerpoint, on a Windows XP laptop. I use it for large lecture classes, where I want to control when I change the slide, so it doesn't matter that there is no timer.Laser works fine.Takes 1 AAA battery, so it's easy to replace. The big problem, though, is that you'll be replacing the battery a lot.One week after classes started, I've replaced the battery once already, and I'm about to replace it again.Part of the problem is that I keep forgetting to turn off the on/off switch at the side, which is very inconspicuous; but also there is no battery indicator, and, really, it just burns batteries pretty fast. If you want a simple presenter for occasional use, this may be it.But I will eventually replace it for one that doesn't use batteries so fast. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great price + stunning picture and sound!
I have been interested in upgrading to a larger screen for many years, but reluctant due to high pricing, reliability, competing technologies (LCD, projector, DLP, plasma, tube, etc.) and space concerns. I've had my eye on a projector-based solution for a while, but they too were on the pricy side. Along comes the Optoma DV10.
1-0 out of 5 stars If you're use to HD or looking for HD try something else
-I bought the DV10 recently as a supplement to my current setup - Phillips 42 HDTV and the OPPO upconverting DVD player, The DV10 did not perform as well as I had anticipated and I quickly noticed the difference in image quality. Both the DVD and HDTV display performance for the DV10 paled in comparison to the Phillips and OPPO setup.
5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Value
I had been looking at DLP projectors for a while, but hesitated to make a purchase because of my unfamiliarity with the technology and the cost of higher end projectors ($5000+).I decided to purchase the MovieTime because it allowed me to dip my toe in the projector pool at a very low price.Shopping around I paid $865, and this included a free 92" screen (a $200 value).

3-0 out of 5 stars Almost Great
I present to large groups all the time and have had remotes like this one for a long time. This one disappointed me for two reasons, one of which may just be an individual glitch. First, it was bigger than I thought it would be.I'm 6'4", and it was pretty big in my hand.I preferred smaller ones that practically disappear in my hand. Its shape didn't help... just felt bulkier than I thought it would.Second, it had an annoying habit of advancing or reversing slides when I used the laser button, which is between the two slide controls. It was so delicately sensitive I couldn't get it to just laser point unless I was exceptionally careful, which defeats the purpose.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best I ever Used.
This mouse has the scroll ball,USB, and lazar pointer. I teach in large halls and it has no problem going the distance. Only con is you need a small screwdriver to change the battery. Other than that, It truly is one of a kind. I have used in it in over 100 computers and it always works.
2-0 out of 5 stars Great idea, but...
It is an excellent device for power point presentations... But after ONE MONTH of use, it did not want to work anymore. Only the laser still works, but, who wants that huge pointer without the mouse...?

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value, Great picture!!!
I've had my Powerlite S1+ for a little over a year now, and I have virtually no complaints.Through some creative shopping, (ie. pricematching and mail in rebates) I only paid about $350 for this projector.I have it permanently mounted in the ceiling of my basement and have a screen that is about 113" diagonal. It has over 1000 hours of use now, and everybody that has been over to watch a movie on it has been totally blown away and they all want one.As far as the $100 component video cable from epson, I was worried about this too until I found a local company that makes custom data cables.I paid $13 for a 15 foot cable that works beautifully.Initially I thought maybe when my bulb wore out I would upgrade to a higher end projector, but now that I've had so much enjoyment out of this over the last year, I'm planning on sticking with it and just buying a new bulb or two.

This is a magnificent projector, "A lot of bang for the buck" I have been using it since I bought it almost a year ago and have nothing but good comments for the machine. Every one of my neighbors have enquired about it once they see it in action.

5-0 out of 5 stars Practical and versatile
I bought this little projector mostly to attend on-line classes with, and to have a way to play games when my brain was full (which is very often;)). I also wanted a way to watch TV without having a big & ugly TV in my home office. A projector seemed the best solution, so I gave it a go.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Projector for a Low Price
I recently purchased this projector for my room and it is AWESOME!
4-0 out of 5 stars A good home theater projector
I bought the S3 a month or so ago after a lengthy search process. My goal was to get a projector for watching DVDs.The image is bright and clear.1,600 lumens gives you a good picture even with substantial ambient light.I use a 92" high-gain screen, and a projection distance of around 13'.At that distance, 92" is about as small as the image can get.
5-0 out of 5 stars Better than expected
I have used the S3 FOR 70 HRS. AND FOUND IT WORKS FINE. I have played many DVD with no problems. I play 14 local stations thru a digital receiver and then thru the S3. which makes bad news more acceptable. I recommend this projector. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great classroom tool!
This works great for powerpoints and website exploration in the classroom. I work in a 2nd grade class so having the freedom to walk around the room is wonderful. I don't think I could ever be without one again!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Value
This presenter is a good value for the money. It has three modes: 1) mouse, 2) presenter and 3) multimedia. In all modes the laser pointer operates at the pull of a trigger underneath the presenter (transmitter) unit. In the mouse mode it operates as a trackball mouse, in the presenter mode it has a page up a page down and an ESC key function and finally in multimedia mode it has a vlume up, a volume down and a play pause function. It also has three hot buttons -- one for internet access, one for E-Mail access and one that duplicates your Alt-Tab key.
4-0 out of 5 stars Well-designed,expensive wireless presenter for your PC

    Editorial Review

Power Point presenters will love this smoothly curved remote control. Instead of having to stay near the laptop, Atek's Tote-Remote gives you up to 30 feet of roaming room. The dongle-style base uses a radio frequency to communicate with the controller, which means you don't have to worry about maintaining a clear line of sight during your presentation. The wheel built in to the side offers page up/page down functions along with cursor scrolling; a laser pointer allows you to easily highlight specific items on your agenda. The sole button provides you with instant "escape" ability. Atek includes a one-year warranty. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Painless and perfect for me
My remote needs are simple.I want to be able to move my powerpoint presentations forward or backward one slide at a time. And I want a laser pointer to call attention to features on a slide if I choose.Voila! The Atek device does all this painlessly and well.Of course it can do a lot more, but truthfully, I'm just not interested. So I plug the little antenna stick into a USB port on my laptop and I'm ready to go.The remote fits in a pocket or I carry it in my hand or I set it on a table. When I'm ready, a touch causes the slide to do what I want from anywhere in the room.I use the laser less than I thought I would, but it has been nice to have when I've wanted it.I'm completely satisfied.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Item
This item is great for presentations. It is user friendly and easy to install. The mobility of the remote will allow you to deliver PowerPoint presentations with ease. The instructions are easy to understand.I wish I had this item while in graduate school.I would recommend this item to anyone interested in purchasing a presentaion remote.

5-0 out of 5 stars Handy and dependable!
I make frequent presentations using MSPowerPoint. What a drag to keep circling like a moth around my computer to hit the arrow button to move to the next slide. Some setups have had remotes tied to the video projectors, but usually they are big clunky things with no easy way to go back to a previous slide or effect. This sweet little item fits neatly and inobtrusively in the palm of your hand.Simply pop in the little USB receiver to your lap top.My Windows XP reads and sets up the device in seconds and we're set to go. It has an easy up and down switch and uses a radio signal with a nice long reach. It also contains a useful laser pointer and a multifunction button for a few "advanced" actions if you need it. ...
