Creative MP3 Player
I just got my player today, and I haven't been able to put it down. It's fairly easy to install, as well.
NO NECK STRAP in the package
Despite Amazon's description, the package contents listing, and Creative's own website description, there is no neck strap in the package of the Zen Nano Plus.
Excellent little unit.
I've been using this player for nearly and month now and truly LOVE this unit. It's physically very small (in many ways it's smaller than the iPod Nano!) and the sound quality is quite good even with the headphones Creative provides with the unit. The inclusion of a built-in display is very useful, especially when you configure the internal features of the unit. Because it is a device that works under Microsoft's "Play for Sure" specifications, you can also play back DRM-protected .WMA files downloaded from many commercial music web sites such as the ones offered by Wal-Mart and Yahoo! Music.

Editorial Review Take your music on the go with the feather-light SanDisk Sansa M260 4 GB flash memory digital audio player, which is bulked up with a surprising amount of features for such a small device. In addition to playing both MP3 and WMA audio files, it also sports an FM radio and digital voice recorder. It supports the Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 and features PlaysForSure support for portable music downloads. And it's powered by a single AAA battery, which will provide up to 19 hours of battery life. Read more

Great for Unlimited Song Downloading Subscriptions!
Died After 6 Hours
I was attracted to the M260 as I could Drag&Drop my wma files. That was easy.I also liked the use of rechargable AAA bateries.Unfortunately, my M260 went into a "reformating disk" mode, then a "rebuilding library" mode for a couple of hours then DIED.I had used it for aobut 6 hours total. I returned it to the POP and will research iPods!
love/hate relationship
I, a 40 year old, finally got with the times and got an MP3 player. After doing the necessary research and asking advice of others I bought the Sansa 260. What I do not uderstand is the complete lack of a "how to" guide with this products. Maybe it's my age (wow, that sounded "old") but to me, this technology is not intuitive...in other words, I don't know what to do nor how to do it. The website is no help, and the "quick start" included is worthless. I've had lots of learnings that are trial and error and hit and miss...if there was a way to troubleshoot this thing -- either online or through a manual, I would be less tempted to throw it out the window.Right now I'm listening to it; I tried to switch songs and selected one, but instead the CD that I downloaded started playing over...but the song I selected is showing as "now playing." Argh! So, yes it's great for convenience, but from a practical standpoint it's a pain in the....

All's well....until last week.
My parents bought me the Philips GoGear last Christmas. The player was wonderful. Everything I wanted on it, I had space for, and it didn't cost much. The screen wasn't as big as the Toshiba I had been wanting, but when I got my hands on it, I really enjoyed it.
Happy with it
Right the battery life is short and there is a lag when a button is pressed, but other than that I'm glad to not have any problems.Unfortunately I DID pay over $200 for this product and cannot find any accessories for it.I've had it for at least 1/2 a year now and enjoy every function of it!
an amazing mp3 player
The philips gogear is sleek, reliable, and just plain awesome! It holds 3 times more than the 2 GB ipod nano, has fm radio, radio and voice recording, and better sound quality for the same price. occasionally the screen freezes, but simply restart it and it works fine after that. I like how the buttons light up when you touch them.

Big and a Bit Tinny
This boombox was larger than I expected and the sound quality is disappointing. You either have a tinny sound or a muffled bass sound (with megabass on), no territory in-between.I plugged it in and did a side-by-side comparison with my old boombox (which the Sony was to replace) and was surprised to find that my decade-old, off-brand boombox with the analog tuner and equalizer adjustments still sounds better to me than the Sony. Sigh - the CD player on my old one doesn't work, I can't preset radio stations on it, and I was really sure this Sony box would be a huge step up.Well, it takes up more space on the kitchen counter, but I'll probably end up keeping it anyway because eating the shipping costs to return it is too big a pill to swallow.I wish I had tried to find this unit locally to check it out before purchasing it from Amazon.(Still love Amazon tho!)
Good Sound
This is exactly what I was looking for.The sound is great. My only complaint is that the digital window is difficult to read since it is small and dark.I am very pleased with the sound, though.
This one has Cassette but doesn't have MP3 Capability
This is a good CD and Cassette player. But, it doesn't play Mp3 CD's. Mp3 CD's are the current technology that permits about 10 hours of music on ONE CD! The Mp3's are especially useful for books on tape as you can have an entire book on one or sometimes 2 CD's! My suggestion is to find the Sony (Model ZSSN10PS) that has capability for regular AND Mp3 CD--- unless you play alot of cassettes---in which case get this one. Or better yet, by this one AND the ZSSN10PS...if you're rich that is! :o)Email:boland7214@aol.

Archos AV 700 40 GB Mobile Digital Video Recorder
This is a great item, liek a mini tivo for on the go people, recoreds from tv, computer, dvd directly, awesome item.....
I like this item very much
I download movies and mp3 to take with me when I travel. I also load my audio books onto it. To load a video(avi) you use the sync tab on your window's media player. I also use a neat program called Pocket DVD wizard which can change my video to Archos compatible and I can drag and drop them into my video file. I like the bookmark feature for my audio books.
I love this thing!
I am a flight attendant and for years I saw my international passengers using this device. I kept looking at all the stores in the US and could not find it. I bought mine the first month they were out here and LOVE it!!

great MP3 Player, shoddy battery cover
I love this player. The sound is fantastic and the convenience of having to use only one AAA battery is one of the main features that prompted me to purchase one.

Olympus has NO quality control!!!!
I bought this Olympus recorder at a local electronics store (circuit city) and had to return the first one, since the record/playback head had a problem staying in physical contact with the tape. The playback volume would drop down in volume since the head was not snug against the tape during playback conditions.
Does what I want it to!That's all that matters!
I am a musician, and I own an eight track digital recorder for completed musical ideas, but sometimes i wake up at night with a vocal or lyrical idea that i just don't want to forget.I can keep this handy little recorder by my bed, that way i won't forget my great ideas. This product does what i want it to do, it helps me get my ideas out so that I don't forget them the next day.I heard that the idea for the opening riff for "Satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones was recorded as Keith Richards awoke with an idea in his head.It has been said that all that could be heard on the rest of the tape is Keith snoring! lol!! this may not be that very recorder, but it'll do fine by me.
Great bargain even if 'old' technology!
If you are a student and just need a cheap, good quality recorder for classes- like I did- this is a real gem. Its just a plain old fashioned tape recorder- but compared to digital, the sound of this recording is excellent. For techno-freaks, be aware: It doesn't hook up to your computer to translate from recorder to printed notes via voice recognition software, it isn't the size of a pen (although it IS pretty small and lightweight), and it won't stand up on your desk and tap dance. It'll just make recording your lectures a cheap and easy proposition. As an aside: you will need a little adaptor ($2 on Olympus website)in order to use standard headphones with it (it has a mini-mini plug port, which is not standard) or else you will have to listen to it out loud.At this price, I think its worth grabbing these up while they last and while Olympus hasn't discontinued them yet (assuming that digital will eventually cause them to discontinue all 'tape recording' machines). So, even though I like computer stuff and have lots of gadgets and gizmos myself, I ignored 'image' and was very happy with this inexpensive little purchase!Footnote: I would have given it 5 stars IF it had a tape counter (this model doesn't) and IF it included the adaptor for standard headphone plug OR had a standard size port so you wouldn't need their own brand headset or adaptor.

Radio Your Way - Everything I hoped it would be
This item is great.I find that the AM antenna does not work too well in the parking garage, but otherwise the radio does everything I need it to do.Buy a 1 GB Sandisk memory chip for $30 and this is like a 1GB I-pod only it has radio which allows you to do time shifting.I record talk radio while I am at work and listen to it at night. Also, I record FM radio at 3:00 AM when the commercials are not quite as prevalent (I have not actually run any experiments on this but it seems to be true).I was afraid that all the menus would be too complicated and it would be difficult to figure out all the features, but I find that I use the thing enough to remember how to do the things I want to do.Once you get into the routine of doing the timed recordings it is easy.It is also not that difficult to figure out the menu path to take if you want to do things like recording with the microphone like an old cassette player/recorder.I would recommend this if you are looking for an ipod that also lets you timeshift AM and FM.
Great radio!
I bought this for my son and he really loves it.The only negative is that you have to buy a case separately, and there are no wonderful styles & accessories to choose from (like the ipod).I plan to eventually buy one of these for myself. If you are an am radio junkie, this is the item for you.
Radio Your Way
Have tried other mp3/FM recorders but got rid of them because of they were physically too small to be useful(i.e. hard to read displays, buttons difficult to access). Radio Your Way has an easy to read display, and easy to use buttons. The added benefits of recording to internal or external(SD card) memory, AM and FM radio(with external antenna if you want), plus lots of other extras make it a great buy!!!

good things come in small packages
This is a great little player. I got this player as sort of a back up and did expect much cause the price was low and I have been burned by low priced mp3 players before. I go this thing and loaded a bunch of music on it (about 10 or so hours worth) and it sounds great. There are diferent EQ settings or you can go in and sett the EQ your self. Runs off of one aaa battery for about 15 to 20 hours. It is very lite. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing. You can forget it's in your pocket and I almost washed it in my jeans once. I also don't like to have many things in my pockets and you don't even know it's there. I wish it was a little bigger casue the display is small and sometimes it's hard to read but other than that it's a great little player.

Editorial Review Boasting an acoustically balanced wooden enclosure and an enhanced front-firing 3-inch speaker, the Sangean WR-2 tabletop radio offers the sound and features of a living room system in a cabinet that fits conveniently in a bedroom, kitchen, or garage. Any discussion of the WR-2 begins with its walnut-finished wooden housing, which is rich in both appearance and tone. The cabinet's front surface features the speaker on the left side, a series of intuitively placed control buttons toward the bottom, and a generously sized LCD display in the middle with three brightness levels. More importantly, the cabinet teams with the 7-watt amplifier and the acoustic bass compensation system to add warmth and depth to the audio. Complementing the housing is Sangean's advanced RF/IF electronic circuitry, which picks up distant AM and FM stations and reproduces them with unmatched clarity, making music and even talk programs come alive. Simple elegance.Perfection.
I wanted a simple alarm radio with good sound and MP3 input capability. All of my music is electronic (MP3), so no longer need CD player capability or tape deck.I was looking to replace a desktop stereo with something simple and compact.
Attractive and rich sound
I researched a lot of clock radios, including models from Tivoli, Boston Acoustic, Cambridge Soundworks, Bose, Proton/Sangean, and decided on this unit for the following reasons: stereo headphone jack; line in for MP3; front(vs. top-mounted) 3" speaker; programmable, digital tuning; digital clock. To my mind, it is oxymoronic to expect stereo speakers on a compact clock radio--the unit is on my night table and I am not sure how I can perceive stereo separation giventhat configuration; however, I do desire stereo headphone capability, which the unit delivers. When I lived in New Hampshire, I had very few stations to listen to, owing to poor reception, in spite of the external FM antenna. Now that I am in the metro Boston area, I do not find reception to be an issue. I have never been able to set my clock automatically with the RDS, but the other features, i.e. song title, artist, radio station work satisfactorily. I think the sound of the unit is superb, but it would be interesting to do a side by side aural compare with some of the above-mentioned units.
Absolutely Fabulous!This radio rocks!
Over the past few months I have tried table radio's from Sony, Tivoli, Bose, Boston Acoustics and now this Sangean.Of those brands I purchased the Bose Wave Radio, Sony ICF-M1000 and the Tivoli Model Two.I returned the Tivoli because it would drift off station frequently no matter what station or type of antenna used.Of all the radio's that I have purchased I'm left with only two, the Sony and the Sangean.Between the Sangean and the Sony I prefer the Sangean.

When you factor in the price, it's the best deal on any mp3, movie, text, game, karoke player around!
Fantastic MP-3 player
I have had this MP-3 player for about 3 months, and I am extremely satisfied with it. I like it's small size and many features. It it broke tomorrow, I would immediately order another one.
Don't be a SUCKER!
This is a great unit with a MAJOR design flaw that nobody talks about. The BATTERY IS IRREPLACEABLE!!!!!It is a lithium ion so if you made the mistake of buying one don't let the battery drain completely--it prematurely ages it.I'm appalled I made the mistake of buying one!!It is virtually a disposable mp3 player!!!

A sure 1.5 to 2.0 star rating, I had hoped for more.
Trusting to insightful reviewers here, I purchased a Grundig G4000A with a few clicks. I supposed that my Dad's Grundig of the 50's wouldn't be dupiclated in a G4000A; but, all I wanted was quality reception and a nice sound. My radio provides neither.Yes, it's a nicely finished set and all it's options work. That's about the best of it. My night stand holds a $10 Sony clock radio that puts the Grundig's reception and sound quality to shame. A standby battery operated radio is a must in South Florida and this set will do that job nicely. I had hoped for more.
GRUNDIG G400a great radio
Been a licensed ham for 15 yrs and i am amazed at what this little radio can do !! Very sensitive reciever with nice quality sounding audio on fm. SSB is not the greatest but useable. Big value for a smalll price.
did not perform to expectations
I purchased this as a gift for my father, it played well as an AM FM radio, but not as a shortwave radio. My father was disappointed, so I returned the radio. The radio is presently enroute back to amazon (the first item I ever returned!). I have been a loyal amazon customer, so hopefully my reimbursement will come back to me with ease.
