KODAK Easy Share Printer Dock CX/DX 3000/4000
It is 03/10/2004 A.D. now and thismagnificent machine is working well still and not a flaw. Ease, usages, portability, working with Windows 98 First Editon on a 266 MHZ work horse were contibuting factors. Better than the 2400 in many ways.
I am a serious amateur photographer who has displayed his work in corporate galleries and sells at art shows and online. I have used the Epson printers (2200, 1280) in the past to make my prints. While these printers do make excellent prints, the frustration I have always experienced has been in the color management end of printing. I've spent upwards of $80 a piece for professionally created icc profiles and even bought the ImagePrint RIP program in my attempts to obtain the perfect prints. While these solutions did work out to my satisfaction, they were an extra cost over and above the cost of the printer price. I always felt that if I was going to pay $600+ for a printer, that it should produce a great print right out of the box.
Not worth the money!
The Photosmart 8750 printer seems to be very well made with some nice features and is easy to setup.However my "test" photos were very disappointing. Using HP Premium Plus Glossy photo paper and the printer set to "best quality" a band would appear across the printout spoiling the print. The banding runs parallel to the print head path and starts around the last 1.25" of the print. The band varies in width and intensity somewhat but and is typically .125" to .50" wide.I increased the print quality to the MAX DPI "Highest quality" and more banding appeared in the print. I then tried printing directly from the compact flash card using the same image and I still had visible banding. I then exchanged the printer for another 8750 a couple of days later with no luck. This time the banding was typically fainter but almost always present to some degree. When image printing from one of its card slots or even from the PC, the rhythm of the print head sudden slows pauses at one side of the page. It then moves to the other side and again pauses and this is repeated for about 9 times around the time the banding happens. The print head will again go back to its normal rhythm and finish printing the image. I removed each ink cartridge and printed the image to see if one of the cartridges was causing the problem. None of seemed to be as there was always banding visible. Also when printing a B&W image the band was present there too. At any rate the print quality would be excellent except for the banding that keeps appearing. I retuned the printer for a refund after speaking to the support technicians.

Wow, what a printer!
After researching for weeks I finally bought this printer and I can say after one day withit that I am amazed at the quality it delivers. Better than anything I've ever received from a lab, but then I've never used a lab that gave me what I would call amazing results.

don't buy this
Every time I go to print something this machine makes it an adventure. Right now the printer will only print an entire document rather than select pages from it. The error light comes on for no reason. This is the tip of the iceberg...needless to say I'm shopping around for a new printer.

Don't buy this refurbished
I bought this refurbished off a respectable dealer off of eBay,but I didn't realize that his guarantee was only for 7 days until it was too late.The USB port on the printer was dead on arrival, and I could not establish a connection to my computer.It was about 1 month after receiving the item that I attempted to install this on my computer, so I could not return this to the eBay dealer.Tried 2 different USB cables, 2 PC's and multiple USB ports, but still no connection.I'm sure this is a great printer for light to medium usuage, but my advice is to buy one of these new.

I'd give it a zero if possible.
I have not one, two, but three of these pieces of junk and have finally learned my lesson.The first one was DOA out of the box.The second one developed a USB connection problem within one month.And now the third one flashes continuously "check cartridges" and I have put brand new ones in there.It won't even scan or copy when it thinks you have printing issues.You're just locked up with a bunch of flashing lights.Don't waste your time with this thing.I'm definitely going to try a canon next. ... Give away the razor, sell the blades
I purchased this printer for my office at work. Once in a while I need to print a single page or two and don't want to bother walkingto the other side of the building to pick it up from the shared printer. The printer is small and fits into my desk space well. One thing I like is that the output tray and the input tray are the same, the paper just rolls around through the printer and comes out on top of the input stack which allows for a very low profile unit. Print quality is good. It is not very fast. Its kind of noisy. The input tray holds only about 50 sheets. I already had a spare USB cable but if I hadn't then I would have been irritated that it didn't come with one.
Prints well but noisy
A nice inexpensive printer that prints documents well. Have not tried photos as I do not have that need. The only drawback is that the paper feed system/motor is very noisy compared to other HP printers that I have had.

To Big for a portable printer
I purchased this printer for my laptop and to have on the go capability of being able to print out in the field or at job sites. The reviews stated that it was a great printer for a laptop computer. I never opended the box, when I saw its size

Not as great as they say, but still very good
I will start by saying I buy cheap ink for my printer.And I will follow that by saying HOLY COW can you get some SUPER CHEAP INK for this printer!!!(generic, of course).The photos that print look good and I don't mind the quality, but they certainly aren't comparable to real photos from a lab. But it works for what I need it to, it prints normal text really quick, and I couldn't be happier (mostly b/c the ink is soooooo cheap!)

This printer stinks - at least the one that I received.
useless
My version of this printer was pretty much useless because everytime I went to print, the paper would get jammed. This happened over and over and over and over and over again. I was not doing anything fancy, simply printing black/white documents. This is why I rank this product as utterly useless. Runs well
I've had the HP DeskJet 5150 for a couple of years, and it runs very well as a plug and play device in my Linux system. The black and white printing is sharp, and the colors and vibrant.
Dissapointed with Deskjet 5150
After approximately a year after purchasing my Deskjet 5150 I started receiving error messages for "unknown printer cartridges" even though the cartridges were genuine factor HP cartridges. Reinstalling the cartridges made the messages go away the first couple times, but the third time all power seemed to be cut off, which the HP customer service blamed on the defective (HP) power cord. This is my second HP printer that has given me problems, and it will be my last HP purchase.

This printer came in a package i got about a year and a half ago and i just started using it in november of this year. it prints out good quality on BEST mode. on normal mode its really bad. my ink just ran out so 3 months or so the ink lasts. its time for me to upgrade but being a teenager i dont have the money. ... Excellent Printing
This was my first photo printer and I still tend to compare other models to this one. The print quality and speed on Canon Photo Paper is excellent. Having individual tanks has been a blessing. I've actually run into situations where the yellow runs out while all other colors are still usable. Even regular printing jobs are done admirably well.

worked for just about 15 months
The printer head has to be replaced, it worked for almost 15 months. Also bought a Canon G3 digital camera for $600 that quit working at 13 months, conveniently when just out of warranty. Canon wants $185 to just look at the camera- repairs possibly more $. Canon has horrible customer service- buyer beware!

excellent low-price printer
I have this printer for one and a half year. I've never had a single paper jam or other problem and I've printed thousands of pages. It's a fast printer; in standard print quality it prints about 10 pages of text & color diagrams per minute. The canon software is full of options for resizing, printing multiple slides-pages per page, photo printing (with canon photo paper),duplex printing, auto or manual color adjustment etc. The different ink cartridges are not expensive and they are compatible with many other canon printers.
