Combining a traditional corded handset with a 5.8 GHz cordless handset, the Uniden CEZAI998 offers cordless convenience when you want it, but will continue to provide basic phone service in the event of a power outage. The design also makes it an ideal choice for people with visual or hearing impairments: backlit, oversize keypad buttons on both the base and the cordless handset, an LED visual ring indicator and complete hearing aid compatibility work together to improve functionality. The base includes a fully digital answering system with up to 15 minutes of recording time. Additional features include an audible message alert, toll saver, remote message retrieval and a choice between personalized or prerecorded outgoing messages. With subscription to local service, the phone is compatible with Call Waiting Caller ID, and will display the name, number and date and time of each call on the oversize, backlit LCD, and will store up to 50 names and numbers so you can return calls at the touch of a button. Even without Caller ID service, a phonebook stores 10 of your most frequently-dialed numbers. What's in the Box: Base, two AC adapters, telephone line cord, corded handset, charging cradle, battery cover, handset battery, belt clip, user's guide, warranty card ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Exceeds ALL expectations!!!
In this day and age of the marketing machine, many products abound in the market place that promises much more than they deliver.I am aware of this marketing machine that hypes up products, and have been extremely cautious as a consumer. That being said, I am extremely happy with this printer.
5-0 out of 5 stars premium performance (@ premium price)
I've been using the Epson R2400 for about 6 weeks now.I am extremely impressed and very satisfied with the quality of output from this printer. My work has been both (mostly) color and B&W.Output has ranged from 4x6 to 13x19.Borderless & not over this range.I have been using Moab Entrada 190 Natural paper almost exclusively with the printer.I've been using Epson K3 inks.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent printer
Absolutelybeautiful prints! Ink is a bit expensive but there are ways around that. I like being able to print in large sizes with such clarity and accuracy. I've always liked Epson printers; I just wish they'd make a removable print head for easier cleaning. If the print head becomes clogged; that's it! I'd suggest printing a least once every other day to keep it up to snuff. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A lot of hype, but it quickly fizzled
Bought this product recently based on recommendations for an advanced math/ scientific calculator.Apparently, TI has almost all the schools eating out of their hands by having classrooms make these calculators mandatory in many classes.
3-0 out of 5 stars Handy Calculator, It's Too Bad That it Doesn't Last
I bought my TI-86 two and half years ago. It took a little while to get used to - most of the useful functions are buried in submenus or submenus of submenus. Also, the manual that came with it was fairly useless; it's poorly indexed and does not do a good job of introducing the user to the calculator's functions.
5-0 out of 5 stars Strong, Sturdy, and Robust
I used my TI-86 from high school through a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering.I still use the TI-86 today, and it works perfectly.

1-0 out of 5 stars Speakerphone does not work
I bought this phone brand new. Unless your mouth is within a foot of the mic, the other party will not be able to hear you while you are on speakerphone.

1-0 out of 5 stars worst phone ever! buyer beware
I took back the first model of this to the store because if the phone was moved at all when the speaker was on, then it would hang up. But at least people could hear you.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good phone - short battery life
Overall, a good phone. Low cost. Well built. Many features.Speaker works OK for the price.Features such as caller ID and the speaker phone are powered by batteries. As stated by another reviewer a set of batteries only lasts a few months, even if you do not use the battery-powered speaker phone often. This phone would be a great phone (for the price) if it did not use batteries, but was a plug-in model. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars What a piece of Junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This unit simply does not work! Sometimes it even does not get tone, sometimes decides to stop transmitting, cutting the mic. all of a sudden, sometimes I have to set it 6 or 7 times in the craddle to reset it. I need a unit with 2.4Ghz Cordless / Call ID / AMFM digitally tuned receiver/ and alarm clock; You would think by the year 2006 this could be acomplished by a "relative newcomer" to home appliances and electronics like GE, evidently not. Im returning this clunker, definitively!
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Little All In One Unit
This is a great little alarm clock/cordless phone unit. The display is large and easy to read. There are three different brightness levels, so the display is easy to read during the day, but can be dimmed so it doesn't prevent you from falling asleep when the lights are off. When the phone rings, the caller's name and number are displayed both on the cordless handset and the base unit. If another phone is in use somewhere in the house, the base unit displays 'Line In Use', which is also nice. The ringer can also be turned off. Setting the alarm and time are not intuitive- you'll have to crack open the manual to learn how to do this, but it's pretty straightforward once you've learned which button combinations to push. Two independent alarms can be set- one can be set to 'buzzer', and the other can be set to 'radio'. One nice feature is that the unit allows you to preset the radio alarm volume independently of the volume when the radio is turned on manually. Alarm length can also be set. The design is aesthetically pleasing- when the phone is placed in the charging cradle on top of the phone, it all appears as one, nice unit, albeit a bit large. There are jacks on the side for connecting an external audio source, as well as headphones. Overall, a highly recommended addition to your nightstand, but be prepared to give up some valuable real estate to accomodate this unit. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars speaks for itself
when used correcly and with its MD71 primary cordless phone, no problems.

5-0 out of 5 stars These are great phones getting a bad rap! Ours work well - here's why...
People complain of bad battery life, and we had this problem at first. I think what happens is that the batteries get old on the store shelf. Ours wouldn't hold a charge very long, so we called Motorola, and they cheerfully & quickly sent us new batteries. After that, everything was great. Like any NiCad product, I think you have to 1) follow the directions for the initial charge and 2) keep them on the base as much as you can. Our family has trouble returning them to the base, but they still are holding charges well after about 8 months.

4-0 out of 5 stars TI Voyage 200
This calculator offers a comprehensive set of mathemeatical and statisitcal features suitable for advanced students or professionals. If you have work which demands this kind of flexibility and computing power it is a must. The package is comprehenise and supplies all of the compents needed to get started. One review I read suggested that the usb cable was not included; it is.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Calculator - Terrible Software
I have owned my Voyage 200 for several years now and use it for all sorts of things, from managing my investment portfolio to analyzing engineering data. This is a great calculator until the daycomes that you have to update the operating system. I have been forced to update each time I have added a new application to the calculator, as new applications won't run without the latest version of the operating system. The update involves wiping out everything you happen to have saved in memory: programs, data, applications - everything. TI supplies an archaic software program to load the operating system and applications. It brings back memories ofthe 1980's when using a computer really did require a computer scientist. With enough time, effort and preplanning, it is possible to save your data and actually get it back onto the calculator close to the way it was to start with, but make sure you have plenty of time and patience pills.

The Uniden TRU9496 is thoughtfully designed for small businesses or homes that find two separate phone lines to be one of life's necessities. The system is expandable to include a total of 10 handsets with charging cradles (available separately). I have had the MFC-7420 now for 6 months.I have bee nothing but pleased with the performance of this machine.I have used the copy function frequently and the fax function about 6 times.I like that the fax machine portion of it can recognize and accept an incoming fax or just act normal if it is a regular phone call.It prints very quickly and printouts are crisp and clear.

5-0 out of 5 stars Motorola SD 7581 2 in the same model family.
I purchased this phone, but in a slightly different model. My model has a base with digital answering machine, but no speakerphone or CID window on it.It is merely a differnt model of the same phone.Mine also came with an additional handset that you can place anywhere. The phone works great. It has Good quality reception and both handset speakerphones have good volume. The only flaws we have found are the distance you can be away from the handset when in speakerphone mode is limited because the person you are talking with will begin to have trouble hearing you the farther away you are. Also the CID has to be deleted from each handset separately. The phonebook can be shared if you enter the number in the shared as opposed to private log that is in each handset. The backlight is pleasant to read and all the buttons on the handset light up when you press one so you can see everything clearly.Best feature is that the name you program for a given number is what will appear as the CID when that number calls you.Especially usefull when a cell phone calls you. Overall good purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent cordless upgrade
I needed to add extra handsets to my 3 yr. old Motorola cordless, but the model had been discontinued and used handsets were commanding a huge premium. A local store had a two-'fer sale on these handsets, so I took the plunge. I love this new Motorola. It's smaller & sleeker than my old MD681. Here are some of the main features that make this an excellent phone:
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Cordless Phone Feature Set
I want to use a cordless phone system as an intercom system and for monitoring our two girls as they wander around our 1-acre property.Motorola seems to be the only system that allows a handset to open 2-way communication with another handset without the callee having to push any button. The sad thing is that all cordless phones seem to limit intercoms to two handsets -- even when the product brags that up to three handsets can conference in to a phone call. I'm so desperate to have 3-way intercom'ing I've even considered finding a phone number to call that won't hang up just so I can conference more than 2 handsets into the call. ... Read more

I needed a machine to scan my collection of transparencies and color negatives. This model seemed to have what was needed. After loading the software, I began with Monaco EZ color and ran the calibrations and created the profiles for transparencies and reflective prints; this was fast and fun. I was surprised with the closely matching results.

1-0 out of 5 stars Watch out for film deposits under the glass!
My six months old 4990 has a noticeable film deposits under the glass. The glass was clear when I bought it. Apparently other owners of the 4990 have had identicle problems (discussions at howtofixcomputers.com). Epson will clean it for free if the 4990 is still under warranty, but this is not a one time problem, but a continuous one (you have to pay Epson to clean the glass after warranty expires). The film is visible when the 4990 is powered up and the interior light is on. With the lid out of the way, look at the glass at 10 to 30 degrees angle. I hope your glass is clear. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the P-Touch Breed
An idealized P-Touch labeler is close to the PT1950 because from the cheapest to the most expensive models in the P-Touch range, the PT1950 supports the smallest font point size for all labelers: 6 pt; 0.75" wide tape [largest available being 1 inch], all TZ tape types, ships with an AC adapter, supports USB connectivity, includes PC software and performs most options found on the more expensive models.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not great, but best of the bunch
I was having trouble with my old Panasonic 2.4 GHz interfering with my WiFi, so I needed to upgrade to something using 5.8 GHz. Past experience has shown me that there is a big difference between the phone brands not just in clarity, range, etc. but in phone shape and comfort against the ear as well. I purchased from Costco three different multiple-phone 5.8 GHz sets to try-out: The Panasonic KX-TG5673 (3 phones and most expensive), Uniden TRU 8885-3HS (3 phones, mid-priced) and the VTech mi6896 (4 phones and the cheapest of the bunch).
3-0 out of 5 stars Talking Caller ID is Helpful
Since my initial review wasn't very helpful, I thought I'd add to it now that I've had the phone for awhile now.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good sound quality, good battery life
Sound quality is very good, and I haven't run out of battery so far. The base is somewhat smaller than what I expected from the pictures. The handsets are well designed; on my previous phone it happened that the "mute" function became engaged when I kept the phone between my head and my shoulders - this did not happen with these so far. Speakerphone on the base is a nice feature and makes the phone usable even during power outages. Answering machine works well. Easy to copy phonebook entries between phones. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars CanoScan 4400F vs. 8600F
Its difficult to find comparison specs between some of the new CanoScans. After looking at both the 4400F and 8600F, besides the 8600F's ability to scan medium-format negatives and being bundled with a lite version of Photoshop, the 8600 is also simply a more heavy duty machine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent Combo Phone System for the Money
I bought mine at the local discount warehouse for around $[...] with a rebate. The package included the corded base and 3 handsets.I've looked into a lot of different phones and read almost every review. When that wasn't enough, I went to the manufacturers' websites and read the manuals.I was looking for a 5.8 GHz with the same features as my old Siemens 2420 2.4GHz and this phone is closest I could come to matching it.The features are current with the exception of two:
4-0 out of 5 stars Perhaps the best of its kind -- at this price
I feel I owe readers this assessment, given how much wasted energy went into trying to find a suitable digital answering machine w/caller ID at a price under $80.I'm very happy with this machine and feel it has only a few flaws.
5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONE SYSTEM
I would have rated 4 1/2 stars, just for the minor Cons below, but couldn't, so rated the full 5. Can't attest to the interference with a wireless network, because I'm not there yet but....

4-0 out of 5 stars great help for the library !!!!
I needed it to get information from the library. To avoid sitting and copying and to be able to get it fast without spending my valious time there.
1-0 out of 5 stars false advertising claims
The DocuPen holds, at a maximum, 10 pages. When I called customer service about this, I was told that the unit's capacity was being exceeded because I was scanning "high resolution images."Photos?No.Pictures?No.I was scanning printed pages from books.Apparently the DocuPen can only hold around 10 pages of normal text. The 50 page limit described in their advertising apparently refers to pages with a sentence or 2 on them, rather than actual pages in books or journals--very odd considering it's touted as a tool for students.A complete waste of time and money.I returned it and now I'm back to using the photocopier.Don't bother with this one, it's not at all what they claim.

1-0 out of 5 stars More trouble than it's worth
This is a gadget with more promise than delivery. It was a retirement gift to me and I'm sure glad that not a penny from my pocket went toward the purchase. Difficult to operate and the end product is not worth the trouble. You have been warned! ... Read more
