Editorial Review

A well-designed system for home offices or talkative family members, the Motorola MD7081 is built to handle two separate phone lines. Expandable to a total of eight handsets, the system includes a 30-minute digital answering system with two mailboxes. The base system is the only part that requires a phone jack, allowing you to add extra handsets wherever you like. Each handset can operate as part of an in-house intercom system, access conference calls and even function as a baby monitor; each also includes a headset jack and belt clip for hands-free operation. 1-0 out of 5 stars S-l-o-o-o-w
Others have commented on the major weaknesses of this phone, but I'll add my own pet peeve: everything is so bl**dy SLOW! To scroll down through the phone book feels like click-pause-click-pause-click-pause.... Each handset defaults to private phone book use, so to switch to the shared phone book involves a couple of button-pushes, each of which takes ages to respond. And don't try getting ahead of it: your button pushes may or may not be recognized.
2-0 out of 5 stars Needs Significant Improvement
I replaced a Siemens 8825 with the Motorola 7081 and was, unfortunately, really disappointed. The 8825 while rich in function, is quite lacking in quality. So what's good about the 7081 is:
4-0 out of 5 stars Great system, with just a few issues
I replaced all of the 'phones in my home with one base unit and 4 handsets. I love the fact that I can place a fully functional 'phone with access to both of my 'phone lines anywhere there's a electrical outlet. My 2nd 'phone line is wired only to my home office, so I placed the base unit there and now I can pick up the 2nd line anywhere in my home.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor reception!
I've had this phone for 2 weeks and it gets poor reception, crackles all the time and doesn't have very good range. People say they can't hear me on the other end either. I bought it so it didn't interfere w/ my wireless connection, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Honestly, I just don't like this phone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor Sound Quality
I bought this phone because Consumer Reports rated it "excellent" for voice quality. Not! There was a lot of echo and a tinny quality, which changing channels only helped somewhat. I didn't have a problem with distance from the base, but I may have returned it too quickly to discover that. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a very good printer/copier/scanner
I've been through about 5 printers in the past 9 years. My last printer was a multifunction Canon MP370 which lasted about 2 years, but it finally clogged up out of warranty. The MP600 is kind of big, very heavy (which I kind of liked that for a change) but is extremely fast, produces high quality output and easy to use.I've had it for 2 weeks and both my wife and I use it daily. She copies lots of stuff for her artwork, scrap-booking and card-making.The color reproduction has improved a lot. It also scans fast and accurately.Best of all, it is very quiet and so fast in B&W text mode that it doesn't seem possible. The setup had one problem that I've never encountered. The instructions made a big deal out of not connecting the USB cable before the software was installed, the wording was incorrect which led to me connecting it up incorrectly anyway(and I knew better from experience). You can't go wrong with this printer, except the ink is a little hard to find and very expensive. One complete set of cartridges will cost you at least $75.I'll be looking for after market ink soon.Canon would make more money if they simply cut the ink costs by about 40 or 50%. This is a very good multi-function, much better than my past experiences with Epson and HP.

5-0 out of 5 stars Impressive Machine
I've had this printer for about a month, and so far found it excellent at everything. I had been using an Epson printer and scanner and both turned into nightmares, I find this machine to be light years ahead, especially in speed and ease of use.
5-0 out of 5 stars Looks like a great all-in-one printer for the price!
Slight caveat: I hadn't invested in a new printer for a very long time, so the MP600 is the first modern inkjet, multifuction, or photo printer I've owned.Prior to this purchase I've had monochrome laser printers, both at home and at work.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great successor of PT-65
Brother follows its successful tradition of cheap but effective personal label maker. PT-80 is a new label maker following the footsteps of highly regarded PT-65. This model features three updates over PT-65. You require only 4 AAA batteries. The LCD accommodates more characters and the addition of a compressed font. The downside is that the resolution decreases from 240 to 230 DPI. The 10 DPI resolution decrease does not affect the quality of the print. The problem of excess labels on either side of the printed part remains. Overall, it is a great personal labelmaker.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Label Printer, Great Value
I just picked this label printer up (at Office Depot, since it was on special at nearly half the current amazon price) and am very pleased with the purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for middle school level math
I have the original TI34 calculator and bought it back in the 6th grade for Pre-Algebra.I'm now a college sophomore and still use it occasionally. This calculator was perfect for Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry and I couldn't have imagined using any other calculator. There was no need for anything more advanced (such as a graphing calculator) in those classes. It is very simple to use and doesn't have too many buttons. In fact, I've never even used half of the buttons that are on it.It is very durable as it has lasted me 9 years of dropping it and spilling drinks on it.It is a must have for any middle school math student.

3-0 out of 5 stars Funky functions & sticky buttons
I was looking for a calculator that featured fairly complex function capabilites, but wasn't too bulky or pricey. Having had a good experience with Texas Instruments' TI-34 model several years back, I decided to give the sequel a shot. Aside from having the complex function calculating capabilities I was looking for, the TI-34-II's main attraction is the ability to backtrack through previous calculations (up to seventy-some-odd calculations back). This is a most welcome feature for someone who's never really figured out the memory storage/recall thingy. It's also a great way to check and see if I entered a previous calculation correctly if I come up with a weird or undesirable result. But not only can I scroll up and down through previous entries, I can also scroll right and left to check out off-screen portions of calculations.
5-0 out of 5 stars First class
The TI calculator has been a big hit with my daughter. She loves using it and it has really helped with her math homework. ... Read more

The Uniden TRU9466 is thoughtfully designed for small businesses or homes that find two separate phone lines to be one of life's necessities. The system is expandable to include a total of 10 handsets with charging cradles (available separately). 4-0 out of 5 stars Uniden phone
We just purchased a set of 4 Uniden DCT 646 phones. We are very happy with their performance and our purchase.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good phones....a little bit of a tin-can sound, though
These phones are great. To have three bases around the house where we can pick one up and drop the other is great. They have good range...the only downside is that sometimes you hear your echo back and sound like you're talking through a tin can.If you readjust the phone and hold it a different way, it's fine.Just takes a little getting used to.Also, these are very hard to hold on your shoulder when you need both hands. They're a little small.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a deal!
Inexpensive multi handset system.Packed with features, we especially like the room monitor, speaker phone on each handset, and direct connect feature (lets you use the phones as walkie-talkies away from your home.)

1-0 out of 5 stars A lot of hype, but it quickly fizzled
Bought this product recently based on recommendations for an advanced math/ scientific calculator.Apparently, TI has almost all the schools eating out of their hands by having classrooms make these calculators mandatory in many classes.
5-0 out of 5 stars The last claculator you will ever need!
I didn't have to have this calculator until 9th grade when I took Algebra 2.It has been the most reliable thing I have ever bought in my life. It's not needed for any level of math under Algebra 2.I'm now a college sophomore and am still using this calculator.I've been through trig., calculus, and stats. and it has been a lifesaver in all of them.I couldn't imagine taking those classes without the calculator. It is extremely durable.I don't know how many times I've dropped mine and it is still working. My one very important suggestion is that after purchasing your claculator, you should engrave your name or initials on it because a lot of them get stolen in school because they are so expensive.

3-0 out of 5 stars TI T183 Graphic Calculator...school required waste of money!

5-0 out of 5 stars After 6 months fo use
I threw my Panasonic system in the trash when after 4 years I tried to replace a handset only to find out it was no longer available. The Uniden systems have handsets that will work with current and older Uniden systems, so if I need a replacement handset 4 years from now they will have a handset that will work with my system. That is good customer service.
5-0 out of 5 stars Lives up to expectations
Bought two of these to go with the CLX 485 in our house.Works great as a total system. The middle-aged adults in our house love the simple and large buttons, as well as the color display (easier to see).Great to be able to both get alerted to messages on the answering machine (alert light) and to check the messages from this unit without having to walk to the base station where the message machine is...Sound quality is superior and we like being able to set up distinct ringers for different callers.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good multi-handset system, only fair on range
I previously had a pair of 900 MHz phones but wanted a multihandset system using one base/phone jack when we bought our new house.I bought the Uniden mostly because I could get 3 handsets and a base for $130 after all the rebates.Next closest with a decent feature set would have been $200+.

1-0 out of 5 stars scans/prints of photos turn out reddish
If you're picky about how your photos turn out, I don't recommend the MP460.Scanned photos show up reddish in hue (I even tested a photo with a green rug--it turned out reddish as well) and the colors are a bit washed-out.Printing directly from a digital photo does not solve the problem, as those prints have the same red problem.I know it's not a problem with my particular printer, since I tested out the MP460 at the store as well after returning mine, and it had the same issue.

4-0 out of 5 stars great printer, but not as cheap per page as I hoped
I've had this about a month. It's easy to use, and prints GREAT photos--really impressive to me (though I'm admittedly no pro). Better than the HP I was using before, though that was at least a couple years old. Copies are fine. I haven't tried the scanner yet. Doesn't take up a ton of room on my desk (budget a little less than 2 feet by 2 feet). Not too noisy, reasonably quick. My only complaint is that it doesn't get the low price/page of B/W printing I was hoping for. I read somewhere (CNET I think) that it could get as low as $0.04/page, and that's way off. I'd say it gets about $0.08/page at best, maybe $0.10. So if mass black and white printing is your task, you might want to invest in a laser. But if you're like me and also want colour (including for photos), I think it's a good choice. The price for the printer itself seems pretty good to me.

2-0 out of 5 stars A Sneaky Printer
I bought this printer solely for the bluetooth functionality. I figured it was a little more expensive than some of the other similar models but the bluetooth would make up for the difference in price that I wouldn't have to spend on a USB cable. Bluetooth, however, is not built into the printer and requires a $50+ optional external device. This is a total bait and switch on behalf of canon. Don't let this happen to you. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone
I bought this phone over 6 months ago and absolutely love it!It has great sound quality.I love the features it has such as speakerphone, caller ID, and it's phone directory. The only thing that is not great about this phone is that the base and the headset each have their own memory and you will need to enter people twice-into both directories.Oher than that, this is a GREAT phone.I have owned panasonic and GE cordless phones in the past and had problems.I even bought and returned 2 phones before trying and keeping this phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars AT&T E5965C 5.8 GHZ Cordless Phone is Best on Market
I've owned Uniden (great technical support), Panasonic and other brands of cordless phones. The AT&T E5965C is the BEST cordless I've owned since my old AT&T cordless from 1991. Quality, quality, quality. Absolutely no interference with my wireless network, great sound quality and volume control. Also, AT&T is the only brand I could find that has DSS technology for more security. Uniden no longer makes 5.8 GHz phones with DSS. I need the 5.8 GHZ because of my wireless network, and I want the DSS for privacy. Each handset has volume control (a necessity for us older folks), and I can retrieve messages from any handset. Also, each handset has intercom. This is a great feature if you fall down and can't get up, etc. You can page anyone in the house for help.

5-0 out of 5 stars How to deregister phone
The phone works great!. I have three of these and a base. The best phones I have had. The other phones I have are the TCX800 model (previous version), equally good.
5-0 out of 5 stars TCX805 Accessory Handset
A very much improved product over the original TRU-8885 that came with my base unit.It follows more of a universal cell phone format.I would highly recommend it for anyone adding to the Uniden 10 hanset system or just replacing the old handsets.

Editorial Review

An additional handset for expandable 5.8 GHz Panasonic systems, the KX-TGA570S is compatible with both the KX-TG5771S and the KX-TG5761S system models. Like the base systems, the cordless handset utilizes 5.8 GHz Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum technology, meaning that it operates on a different wavelength with much less traffic than the 2.4 GHz technology while maintaining the great security, incredible clarity and long range. Have a wireless computer network, or thinking about getting one? 5.8 GHz technology will not interfere with wireless networks such as 802.11b or 802.11g WiFi.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good All-In-One!
The HP 4215 has been a good reliable printer/fax/copier for my home office.Software was easy to install and very user friendly. My only complaints are that it does not print well with UPS software/labels.Shipping info is often cut off and printed beyond the label borders. The ink cartridges are very small.Plan on replacing or refilling the black ink once a month with moderate printing/faxing/copying.Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
Bought this as I needed a good cheap printer to print and maybe fax occasionally.
4-0 out of 5 stars Works fine
This is my second 4215.The first was fried by a lightening strike through the telephone (fax) connection.I've always perferred HP printers and this one is no exception. ... Read more
