4-0 out of 5 stars Decent Combo Phone System for the Money
I bought mine at the local discount warehouse for around $[...] with a rebate. The package included the corded base and 3 handsets.I've looked into a lot of different phones and read almost every review. When that wasn't enough, I went to the manufacturers' websites and read the manuals.I was looking for a 5.8 GHz with the same features as my old Siemens 2420 2.4GHz and this phone is closest I could come to matching it.The features are current with the exception of two:
4-0 out of 5 stars Perhaps the best of its kind -- at this price
I feel I owe readers this assessment, given how much wasted energy went into trying to find a suitable digital answering machine w/caller ID at a price under $80.I'm very happy with this machine and feel it has only a few flaws.
5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONE SYSTEM
I would have rated 4 1/2 stars, just for the minor Cons below, but couldn't, so rated the full 5. Can't attest to the interference with a wireless network, because I'm not there yet but....

4-0 out of 5 stars Great phones, but length of phone lines matters
We replaced an aged Merlin system with these phones, and in general we're quite satisfied. The only limitation we found was that we can't use all eight phones at once in our 13-room, 4-story house. Evidently, the total length of all the phone lines -- probably several hundred feet -- is just too long. With a bit of fiddling, we got seven working solidly, and they make for a terrific phone system that meets all our needs. We expect to use all eight instruments in time, as two or three separate systems, so I can forgive this one problem.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Phone
This review should really be 4-1/2 stars but that's not an option, so...
2-0 out of 5 stars No speed dial or answering machine
The phone has excellent sound quality but I was very disappointed that it only has three speed dial numbers - It has 8 extension buttons that I will never use since it is for my home office. They should have reversed the buttons, 10 speed dials and 3 extensions.

4-0 out of 5 stars 7 new speaker phones
At first, I was unable to conference from room to room, one of the features that I had chosen the phone and spent extra money for and it turned out that the problem had a simple solution, reversing the plugs in the phone jacks. Changing the plug to jack arrangement also got the lines ringing in the proper order (line 1 appearing as line 1). I hope that this tip is helpful to another user. The hold button has a low visibility profile and when I first went to put a call on hold, I was searching frantically and I am tempted to paint that button a bright color. I still can't figure out what the phone means when it tells me that I have 35 (etc.) new calls. I set the phone to roll over to an answering service when I leave the office and I am uneasy that I should be doing something about these new calls. I think that my unease will dissipate over time, but now, I feel like the phone has the upper hand!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Options for Small Business or Large Home
I'm shopped around for a good phone system for a few months until I landed on this unit.
5-0 out of 5 stars It's great when they get it right!
I've been looking for a high-quality multi-line office phone for several months, and have had a few bad experiences. It seemed that I got what I paid for, which was low-price, low-quality, and I just couldn't find a good solution for less than several hundred (or thousand)dollars. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Phone
I bought this phone to replace a 10+ year old Panasonic model KX-T3175.This phone is equal in all features carried forward, and has attractive new features like built-in caller ID, intercom, and headset capabilities that make it superior. My LCD display is plenty bright, and contains more information than my previous set.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed
The LCD display sucks. The display does not seem to have any kind of backlight. All the extension flash until you assign them a number even if you have no extensions. According to Panasonic the phone should have a backlight. This is the second phone I am going to return.

3-0 out of 5 stars Lesson Learned
It was one of limited few that meet all my criteria for the home office.
3-0 out of 5 stars Good except for the outgoing message quality
I have just started using this phone today, and while it mostly lives up to my expectations, I have run into a major problem with the answering system:when I record the outgoing message on either line, the audio quality is extremely poor.I did just as the manual described - spoke at normal volume 9 in. from the unit - with poor results every time.I was also amazed that one is forced to record the announcement through the speakerphone, not the handset, making it sound as if it were recorded... well, over a speakerphone (but with an extra dose of poor audio quality). One worksaround is to record from the cordless handset, which allows you to use a headset.Still, bad quality even with the cordless handset.
3-0 out of 5 stars Problem on outgoing calls
I bought this phone as soon as it came out because it had the features I wanted. I have been generally pleased with it except for one major issue: every so often I will make a call and the party on the other end hears nothing. This is particularly frustrating since I can think I'm leaving a message on the other party's voicemail but nothing is recorded because my voice doesn't come through. While AT&T's Customer Service is virtually useless, they did replace the unit. Unfortunately the new phone has exactly the same problem. After trying endlessly to talk to a technical person, I was told that they have never had this complaint before. I can't believe that I just got two phones with exactly the same defect. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Panasonic - terrible customer service
After two months, this phone stopped working. It was returned to Panasonic Repair and we received a notice thirty days later saying that the phone was back ordered and delivery would be in 6-8 weeks. This is not customer service. Panasonic should have refunded the purchase price or offered a comparable or better phone. When called today to check on status of order, answer was basically "tough luck." Never again, Panasonic. Amazon should discontinue this brand.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Value!
I bought this telephone for the church of which I am the treasurer. We needed a new 2 line phone for our pastor's office so I checked here at Amazon.com and found this model. It is perfect. Not fancy and easy to use.

1-0 out of 5 stars Let the buyer beware
This phone did not work. I called the Panasonic service center and was told that items bought on Amazon did not have a warranty since Amazon was not an approved retailer. Finally was able to get a return voucher which I did not use since the additional mailing charge would have almost equalled what I had already paid for the phone. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice product!
It is excellent! Well designed. Works perfectly and no any problem. I am happy with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars So so.
I was looking for a coreded phone that I could plug my standard headset into.I went to Staples to see which phones had this capability, and the Panasonic KX-TSC14B did, and at a reasonable price. Please note that I did not require a 2-line phone; it seems that all phones with a headset jack (at least at Staples) were 2-line phones.
2-0 out of 5 stars What has happened to telephones recently?
So corded phones have now joined the ranks of junk "consumable" electronics along with hair driers and toaster ovens? In my search for a decent 2 line corded phone with caller ID, I purchased and with great disappointment returned 2 AT&T models (once the gold standard of all phones!)and finally, several months into the process, exhausted and desparate, settled on this Panasonic. Unlike the AT&Ts, all of the features work, but there is no mute, no reserve power supply (for shame!)and the LED screen is impossible to read from any angle except from directly above. I do not recommend this or any other two line phone. The situation is pathetic! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good for the price
I've been using this phone for about a month now, and overall it's pretty good.
1-0 out of 5 stars Junk
Here is why it is junk.1.creates a buzz on the line2.Not enough room in back of phone for the cord if you wall mount 3.The LCD is pathetic. Can't see it in a normally lit room.THis should be back lit, and numbers should be bigger.4.All in all, a real dissappointment and it is going back.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
As others have said, this is good for the price, but lacks the features you'd want out of a $200 phone. Two other notable drawbacks - the headphone jack didn't work with two different types of headsets I tried - the volume level was all wrong, even after adjusting it on the headsets. Also, sometimes the CallerID text just says "Incoming Caller" (It almost always gets the number correct). The fax machine I have next to it properly displays the text. I would have gladly paid $10 more for a phone like this with a mute button, a message waiting light, and a usable headphone jack and I think Panasonic cut a few too many corners here to get the price down.Personally I have no use for storing an address book on the phone - that's what my computer's for.Despite these drawbacks, it works and I'm not spending $200 on a phone. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars RCA 25202 RE3-B- The Best 2 Line Small Office Phone Available!
I have purchased some of the most expensive multi line small business/office phones and have always been disappointed by lack of features or poor performance, until now.
2-0 out of 5 stars Nice features - abysmal audio quality
I'm satisfied with the feature set of this phone, but the audio quality is very poor.I put up with it initially since the feature set matched what I needed, but the audio quality has gone steadily worse. There's a permanent hiss on the line with many pops and breaks which are audible to both parties.I'll be getting rid of this as soon as I find a new phone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with SpeakerPhone quality
The speakerphone stinks. Calling into a conference bridge, words dropped about every 30 seconds as I listened, and apparently every few words I spoke were not heard by the others on the call. One-on-one calls were no different. I took it back to Office Depot and told them I was as disappointed.

1-0 out of 5 stars Looks good - But thats all...
Very disappointed with the performance of this phone from ATT. Speed dial is useless, you need to press so many keys it is easier to look up the number. Caller ID only works on one line at a time. The keypad locks up once in awhile and requires pulling power from the phone to make it work again. Sometimes the phone "senses" a call waiting and mutes out the caller's voice for a few seconds at a time. And the last is the best; when answering a line, the phone will sometimes (not often) conference another line in and I get to speak to my customer on one line, and we both listen (at the same time) to a loud dial tone from another.
1-0 out of 5 stars Flat out....these phones suck!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I can't kill this phone...
I've had this model, plus the predecessor for about 14 (!) years and we now have 6 phones hooked altogether...both the earlier version and this version all work together & work perfectly...
5-0 out of 5 stars Superior multi-function multi-line speakerphone
This is one of the best consumer products I've purchased.I bought a large number of the previous version/model in 1995, and have upgraded to the 29451, which has the LCD/liquid crystal display, a better speakerphone, and a few extra functions. The amazing characteristic was its remarkable intercom function - just plug in the power and the phone line jack, and you have an instant intercom. There is also a "paging" system, or broadcasting function.Quick-dialing programming, redialing, conference calling, and call transferring ( to another phone within the office) all work flawlessly. The speakerphone is excellent, although you have to allow for the fact that reasonably-priced speakerphones are not "two-way" -- the microphone transmits speech only one direction at a time; if more than one participant speaks, the sound is blocked.

1-0 out of 5 stars Intercom problems
I own four, all on "Do Not Disturb" because the intercoms ring constantly.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONE
I LOVE THIS PHONE!!! It has "old" handset styling, phonebook,a screen and multible lines. Reminds me of the Toshiba DKT-2020 Strata series telephone.

1-0 out of 5 stars Want your business to sound like it cares about quality?
Then don't buy this phone! We bought five, and every last one is a piece of junk.Callers began telling us we sounded like we were talking through a pillow or from the bottom of a garbage can.We have surely lost customers as a result. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Intercom doesn't work on my wiring
One of the nice concepts of this phone was the idea of using it as an intercom. I have a huge house, and it's nice to be able to intercom someone in their room instead of going all the way over there each time.
1-0 out of 5 stars The Worst Phone on the Planet
Everything wrong cited in the earlier reviews is true. The poorest quality at the highest price--shame on you AT&T.Based on my experience with this product, I will never purchase an AT&T branded anything.

1-0 out of 5 stars Typical cheap Asian electronics
In other words, lots of claimed features, many of which are unnecessary, conflict with one another and are poorly documented. Additionally, we found that this unit (although not the 944 slave) is subject to RFI (static), which required us to relocate it to another room.

5-0 out of 5 stars No Caller ID.... But A GREAT Telephone!
What I Like About It-
3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Home Office Phone
This phone is working very well as my home office phone, and it is getting a lot of use. After trying a really cheap phone and being unhappy with it, I spent a little more for this and have been very pleased. 1-0 out of 5 stars Worthless phone!
Decent looking phone however the ringers are so whisper quiet---even on the HI setting---that you cannot hear the phone ring! I first bought this phone at Best Buy, returned it for this reason. A week later I found it a little cheaper at Staples so I thought I'd give it another shot in case the first one was defective. No dice---same inaudible rings. Definitely avoid this phone! ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Good for listening, not for talking.
I've used Plantronics headsets for years.I was surprised that there was no volume adjustment for the Mic -- every other Plantronics headset I've used had one.I must have had a dozen people tell me they could hardly hear me in 3 days of use.No amount of adjusting the headset position on my head solved the problem..I had to pull the mic nearly into my mouth for people to hear me easily.
1-0 out of 5 stars Headset only Plantronics T20 -- Choose Another
I've had this phone for about a year and have been unhappy with it from day one. I should have returned it when I realized that the flash button didn't work but now I'm back to buy another phone that actually works. The listening sound quality is okay, however, callers often tell me they can't hear me unless I jockey the headset microphone right to my lips and speak loudly.Having to locate the headset to answer a call is a real pain.I don't think the description adequately explains the fact that you cannot answer the phone without locating the headset, untangling it and putting it on your head first to speak. Also, the dialing tones hurt your ears when you dial with the headset on.Other than that, it's great.:)

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent telephone, headset needs improvement.
You should be aware that this phone is "headset only".It is a simple hookup that allows for two lines using either an "expanded" modular plug to a single wall jack or two separate plugs to two wall jacks. There are handy volume and tone adjustments. The buttons are large and convenient. You can initiate a conference call if you have two lines. The only pitfall is the boom microphone which tends to pop off of the headset. It snaps back in, but it can be an annoyance.Plantronics offers headset upgrades (available at Staples, etc), or you can go with a competitor's headset that uses a standard 3.5mm single jack. ...
