The multi-tasking Creative Muvo Mix is both a lightweight, easily pocketable digital audio player as well as a USB flash drive, enabling you to store and transport your most important files. 5-0 out of 5 stars Solid, Simple
I wanted a no nonsense MP3 player to listen to while working outside. This unit stores about 4 hours worth of songs. It is simple, easy to use, and sounds good.It works great for me.Don't get this one if you want anything fancy. This is a bare-bones player.

5-0 out of 5 stars 1000ward
Este reproductor de mp3 es muy bueno si lo que te interesa es tener memoria disponible y ejercitarte.El precio es bastante accesible y definitivamente es mas fuerte que el Ipod shuffle.
2-0 out of 5 stars Weak and outdated
This is Creative's attempt to capitalize on the success of Apple's Ipod Shuffle by producing a flash mp3 player with no display. This is basically the original Nomad MuVo, and two years ago when I reviewed that same product I gave it a great review. But that was two years ago, and an mp3 player without a display just doesn't cut it today. If you want a no thrills mp3 player for exercise, buy the original Nomad Muvo, which you can find brand new for about $15. If you're thinking of getting this, go ahead and spend the nominal extra cost to get the Nomad Muvo TX FM, which includes a display for just a few dollars more.

2-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating, complicated, useless.
My nine year old bought this with her Christmas money. She could not use it...it's just too complicated. So, I bought it from her thinking it would be great on my desk at work...well, I spent HOURS trying to convert files blah blah blah to get my music on this thing, never got it working. On top of that, the radio gets very poor reception, even with the antenna plugged in.I gave up on this and bought an Ipod.It took me 10 minutes to get everything set up on the Ipod.I guess you don't need to spend hours swearing, installing and uninstalling software, and converting files to listen to music, you just need to NOT buy this product, get an Ipod.I hate music match, and I hate this Shoqbox.I gave it two stars for cuteness and good speakers.

5-0 out of 5 stars worth the price
If you want to enjoy this product, which by the way you can get at sams club for only 50 bucks, there are a couple of things I would recomend, so that you don't run into the same problems most of the people here did.
1-0 out of 5 stars Cruddy Unreliable Device
This is an unreliable piece of junk. Went through two before I decided to stop myself. Check out the reviews of the 512MB version, they're applicable here, too: two DOA units was enough for me. I believe the problem is the power charger: on both units, there was no 5V DC output from the charger, so naturally the device couldn't power up.

Get ready to sing in the shower with the water-resistant Aiwa AZ-BS32 MP3 player with integrated speaker. It's also a great choice for listening to your favorite tunes while washing up in the kitchen or laying out by the pool. This round device includes a handle, backlit blue LCD screen, and controls lining the outer edge. The 32 MB memory holds approximately one half-hour of CD-quality music, or more if you encode MP3 files at lower than 128 kbps. In addition to MP3 playback, the AZ-BS32 features a digital FM tuner with 20 station presets, stopwatch and countdown timer (handy in the kitchen), Normal/Repeat 1/Shuttle modes, auto-power off (after 10 seconds), headphone jack, and USB connectivity. 4-0 out of 5 stars Nice gadget for wet environments
The quality of the radio reception is very high, in the closed places there is no interferance on the radio, its quite good. The backlight of lcd screen is blue and difficult to read while moisture on the screen!.The player's memory is just 32 Mbytes and it is sufficient for bath time(approx.half an hour) cd quality music, you can save only 5 or 6 tracks to listen. You can buy 128/256 MB version PAVIT from the manufacturer if you want to spend more money to listen long time music.Overall, radio is good, mp3 player's memory is not enough. If you are using shower it's ok.Battery life is normal (15 days), because that.. while in the shower, you need to pump up the volume.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best MP3 Shower Radio
Even though the Pavit drive only holds about 8 mp3's, as the previous reviewer noted, it's more than enough time. For a longer soak, you can simply start it up again.I bought it entirely for its mp3 capability and water resistance and I find these overpower the weaknesses:
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Shower Radio!
Originally, I had planned on buying a Sony shower radio w/ a CD player for around $100. They were out of stock and w/ the MP3 market these days, I decided on this radio. It does hold about 8 full length songs on it. Uploading songs to the device from your computer is really easy: it just takes a few mouse clicks and about 30 seconds. The radio itself is loud and has good sound quality. AIWA just unveiled their 128MB & 256MB Removable Storage Media devices a few weeks ago so those should be available very soon for those who aren't satisfied with the 32MB. I would highly recommend this to anyone. You can take it anywhere with you. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't be happier !!!!!
If you are thinking about getting an IPOD or other multi-media player, think again. I have had my MVP for almost two months. Other than being somewhat large, I'm more than impressed. I was looking for a player than could hold my entire CD and DVD collection, that could connect to my home stereo and replace my bulky multi-disc player. This unit was the ticket. After looking at the minimal amount of storage that the others offered, as well as the multitude of other accessories for their players, I went with the Wolverine. It sounds amazing and it's very easy to use. Equally important to the player, is the customer service. In all my years in the banking business, I'm always impressed by amazing customer service. This company takes it to a new level. I had a problem with my player due to a virus traveling to the external drive. I sent them the player, they transferred all my files and sent me a new player immmediately, no questions asked. (2) of my co-workers just purchased IPODs and are kicking themselves, due to versatility of the Wolverine MVP. I have it hooked to my Denon receiver and have given my multi-disc player to my daughters.
5-0 out of 5 stars E X C E L L E N T ! ! !
This is an awesome product by Wolverine. Very easy to use. Plug and play in real sense! I could just copy DAT file from my VCD and played it on my TV. No conversions required!

1-0 out of 5 stars Sorry to make the first review a bad one
Looking for my first MP3 player, thought something small and inexpensive might be where to start, so got I this one. Big mistake. The screen was just impossible to read (TINY in EVERY WAY) and the included instructions were utterly useless. I'm not sure what purpose the CD serves because I couldn't get anything from it but warnings about possibly screwing up my laptop if I continued and error messeges. I know there are 8 year olds out there who could figure this out easily but I really need something simpler to use and easier to read. I am going to return this and try something that is about twice the price. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not A Reliable Device
60GB = IPaperweight
5-0 out of 5 stars iPod is an excellent and elegant tool
This (60 Gb iPod Photo) is my second iPod (the first, a G4 40Gb was pickpocketed from my napsack in the NYC subway - beware) and I've had it over a year. Looking over the spate of recent negative reviews here prompted me to respond. Most of the shrieking pans and drooling raves are divorced from reality. I think it's important to point out that iPod is a tool and only a tool - a portable music player - a compact digital device with much in common with a laptop computer. It is highly configurable and the user has many choices about how to encode music - which affects the final results a great deal.
5-0 out of 5 stars music to go
I am rating this iPod with 5 stars because I have never had a problem with it. Since day one it has been everything I hoped it would be. I purchased it as a combo with my IMac desktop. Due to a combo special and a student discount I picked up this iPod for $179. For that price, it really can't be beat. I purchased it because I have a huge cd collection (approx 1,600) that I wanted to transport. I was tired of lugging around 5-10 discs in my car or in a case on trips. While the 60 gigs didn't quite fit my collection, I have it filled up with over 16,300 songs. That's enough music to last anyone a long time. The first thing I purchased was a clear, hard plastic case. I did this to prevent scratching and damage with a fall. I've heard that these are two issues associated with the unit. That case is a wise $30 investment. It really is a wonderful invention. I haven't had much luck with digital tuner connectors to my car stereo but plugged directly into any stereo it sounds great. Thankfully my wife's new Camry has an aux input jack. I'm thinking of having one installed in my car as well. I find the 'rock' eq preset to be the best sounding overall. It has been wonderful for long trips, vacations and working out. Downloading songs to it is a snap. Anyone who can turn on a computer can do it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Stylish, easy to use, efficient battery
Super fast shipping from Sony. I got mine for $79, I don't know why they raised the price. Anyway I've had mine for a few days now and I'm completely satisfied, didn't have to read the manual, for me it was as simple as any CD player or walkman. However, like most other people I did have some issues with the SonicStage software not accepting some of your files, but I just figured that all you need to do is convert your files to .wav Instead of .mp3 before you add them.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great buy if you need an MP3 player with FM Tuner
Plan to spend a few hours with the manual when you get this one...but after that its easy to use and reliable. The sellingfeature for me was the built in FM tuner...to listen to TV at the gym. For all its features - both on the player and the computer interface - its a good price for all you get.

4-0 out of 5 stars The First Colorful iPod
The Mini was the first iPod that came in colors. So, it was the first iPod I bought--It was pink. I could not resist.
3-0 out of 5 stars Great except when it sucks
I loved it when it was working right, but 6 months after I first got it, Itunes crashed while updating the ipod and the hard drive got corrupted.
1-0 out of 5 stars P.O.S.
I know that everyone else seems to love this, so perhaps my complaint is more about Apple in general. My Ipod Mini (pink)is a lemon. The battery has never worked properly. It takes longer to charge than to discharge, and my current playing time per charge (no changing settings, not backlighting, nothing but hitting play and waiting till the battery dies) is about 2 hours. Apple will gladly sell me a new ($70) battery, but other than that tough. It is apparently my fault thet they're selling shoddy products. I'm not saying don't buy it. There aren't realistically any better choices out there than the Ipod, but buy it when you have a week to sit around and evaluate it and when they get around to opening a store near you. As for me, I think I'm going to dig out my old discman. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars With Newer Firmware, Much Better
At first, I was telling people to not buy this product because of the hogging system resources and slow response on the player. Now that the new firmware has (finally) been released, the product is much better.
5-0 out of 5 stars Philips HDD6330 Jukebox a Great Buy!
I think many of the negative reviews of this product are exaggerated. Here is what I've experienced with my Philips 30GB player: 1)Customer service is friendly and they go out of their way to help you with your questions. However, some people don't bother reading directions and they end up damaging the player or doing things incorrectly. 2) The battery life will only give you the max if you know how to charge a battery. If you don't do it right then you will not get the max time out of your battery. Again, read the directions! 3) The product has as much, or more "cool appeal" than the IPOD, and why pay $200 for a 6GB Ipod when you can spend $230 and get 30GB? 4)The music transfers a lot faster than I thought and it's so easy to do, however, some people don't read directions and they don't understand how to transfer playlists or individual songs. 5) The headphones are OK to start, and the max volume is good for me although if you like your music very loud then it might be an issue. 6) Occasionally the system freezes, but it's so easy to re-set it. 7) No mp3 player is without its flaws. 8) It's great to have the built-in radio, something the Ipod dosn't offer. 9) It comes with a nice case which saves you from buying one for $30 with the Ipod. 10) You can transfer data from your mp3 player to your computer, unlike the Ipod. 11) Overall, I am so glad I went with this over other players. This one doesn't have video, but all I care about is music, so if you really want video than go for another player.

4-0 out of 5 stars Satisfied overall
I've had my Philips HDD6330 for about a month.Overall I've been very pleased with it.The Sync feature to automatically transfer new music from your PC to the player took about 20-30 minutes to figure out (a CD that walks you through the process was included with my player).I had one issue where new licensed content from MSN Music wouldn't load onto the player. The customer service rep was courteous and helpful, and their advice solved the problem.Fortunately that problem has not recurred.I have not had any issues with locking up or loss of saved music that I've seen occassionally from other reviewers.

3-0 out of 5 stars a mix of good and bad
Picked this mp3 player up simply because it had a low price, and I wanted a player to use while exercising.I had never heard of Coby so I wasn't sure what I was in for...
3-0 out of 5 stars I guess you get what you pay for -- of course could have paid a lot more
I bought one of these about 6 months ago and I used it a lot, especially when jogging.Today it quit working correctly. When I try to turn it on it powers up and then shuts off automatically.Tried changing the battery; didn't help.I paid about $40 for it so it cost me between $6 and $7 a month during its useful life. Was it worth it.Well, I enjoyed exercising a lot more.In all fairness, and based on other reviews of similar products, I guess I could have paid a lot more for something else and maybe not had much better luck.

3-0 out of 5 stars Item okay, but I'm no techno wiz...
The item is okay for the purpose I intend to use it.I've downloaded about 3 1/2 hours worth of music that I listen to on my pc at work, or when I exercise.I have not used the voice recording function except to make sure it works, which I plan to use in classes.Downside is that it does seem to "lock up" a lot, and I have to remove the battery to shut it down in order to start over. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars More function than iPod
I recently bought the iAudio 6 and am so far very pleased with its superior performance. I owned a 60GB iPod and am convinced that the former is way better than the latter.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good player.
More user friendly than the X5, screen is nice and bright, sound quality is great, but needs to include a charger.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Perfect but Good
I'll start by saying this is our second one as the first one had to be returned due to a deffective screen. The new slider buttons take a bit of getting used to.You have to play with them to get the feel for them.A tap is usually better than an actual push. While the loading is a bit slow from pc to player the rest of the player is excellent. It is small but full featured and sounds great.I got it for my wife and it took her about two days of actual use before she got comfortable with it but now she loves it. ... Editorial Review

A model of amazing portability, Samsung's YP-MT6X digital-audio player is smaller than a pack of chewing gum but still very big on features. The tiny (2.3 x 1 x 1-inch) player offers 512 MB onboard memory for about 8.5 hours of 128 kbps digital music, an FM radio tuner, radio recording, a built-in condenser microphone for voice recording, and a stereo analog line input so you can encode your own MP3s directly from your cassette tapes, LPs, TV, you name it--with no computer interface required. It helps to have a PC, of course, when you're converting your CDs to MP3, WMA, ASF, or Ogg Vorbis (an open-source format that tends to sound a bit better, on average, than an equivalent-sized MP3 file). File transfers from your computer to the YP-MT6X are a breeze with a USB 2.0 connection (cable supplied), and the device is also compatible with USB 1.1 computers. You can use the YP-MT6X for file storage and transport, too--simply drag-and-drop from your Windows OS--irrespective of its abilities as a media player.Tailor your audio using the player's 8 preset equalizer curves, or engage its onboard SRS WOW processing, which simulates vivid 3D sound from any source. A single AA battery (included) is good for an amazing 42 hours of continuous playback, and the player's 4-line backlit LCD provides a clear view of each file's ID3 tag (artist, track) information. The perfect companion for your workouts, commutes, and travel. What's in the Box MP3 player, 1 AA battery, a neck strap, a direct-connect USB adapter, a carrying case, stereo earphones, a USB cable, an installation CD, an in-line encoding cable, a user's manual, and warranty information.Read more

  • Supports MP3, WMA, ASF and Ogg files
  • Built-in flash memory holds up to 512 MB
  • FM Tuner and recorder
  • Line in & voice recording

4-0 out of 5 stars Your Gym Buddy!
I received this little gem as a X-mas gift and it sat around my desk for sometime before I finally used it. Right off the bat I was impressed with it's small size while being sturdily constructed. It's taken quite a bit of punishment; dropped multiple times on hard surfaces and it's still going strong. I'm still looking for a an armband case that will best fit this device however. It's easy enough to use, most of the menus are easy enough to navigate. The display is decent and provides a brief backlight when you toggle through your song selections.
3-0 out of 5 stars Get an iPod nano for free instead!
Why settle for less, when you can get a brand new original iPod nano 4GB for Free! I got mine from this web site:nocostnow.info/ipod-nano

3-0 out of 5 stars Looks good but doesn't perform well
Specs are great but after couple of runs it gets stuck at 40% progress bar even with new batteries. Not sure whether it is because I received new or refurbished one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Covenient Player
I'm a mom ... that being said I do not need to hear every instrument during my very hetic day. This provides the music I (& the kids) love to get us moving. The first one I purchased, which was a 250 MB, did not power up at all. One call to Philips to trouble shoot, no luck, so they had me send it back, on my dime. However, they replaced it, about 6 weeks later, with an upgraded 512 MB unit.No trouble whatsoever with the 512.I did reset it once with ease, did not loose anything.Battery life is quite long, and built-in rechargeable.Downloading is so simple, or transfer your CD music, easy enough, I am not one to fiddle with instructions. The volume is loud enough, can also use with headphones. No need to carry CD's for the car now.Have used as portable speakers for the kids DVD player, as an alarm clock, auto shut-down, etc. Play music by artist, type, shuffle, repeat.Holds plenty of music.Built in radio.Very portable, took on vacation for the cabin.Obviously not for the pocket.Wonderful idea, very satisfied.

3-0 out of 5 stars A unique product
I was looking for a memory based sound system for long time and really glad to have found this product. I don't mind paying more for larger storage size (like 1 or 2 G), but 512MB is what Philips' offering.
1-0 out of 5 stars PLEASE DO NO BUY THIS PRODUCT!
I purchased this mp3 player and I couldn't get it to work. The battery would not charge up.I called Phillips and the representative said I should push the reset button. I did and it still didn't work. I called Phillips five times for the same problem over a four week period. Finally the representative said they would give me a refurbished player. Of course, I am upset because I have never used the item and I don't believe I should have to received a refurished one. If you are thinking about purchasing this item, please think twice. If you have a problem, Phillips WILL NOT help you. I read the negative feedback and I didn't believe them. If you have bought one and it is working, you are very lucky. I would hate to see someone go through what I have been through. They do not care about their consumers. I would give this item 0 stars ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY !!!
I bought my X5 in early October of 2005 and after about 6 months its been nothing but problems. In under a year I have sent it back to them twice and I am about to do so for a third time. The problem is with the volume, it goes from low to loud randomly. The volume problem appears to be a defect with the X5 itself. I know this because two of my friends deceided to buy it when they saw mine and they have both had the same problem. The difference is that they got tired of sending it back and to be honest with you if they can't fix it this time I won't either. I think I'll be done with this company. When you read all the things the X5 can do it sounds great on paper and it would be a great MP3 Player but it rarely works.

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't Be Fooled by it's Size or the Brand Name
When I started looking for an mp3 player my main concern was the ability to play songs at a very high quality level. The ipod was a consideration, as was another top rated Sony mp3 player. However, Ididn't want to get what everyone else had and after a bad experience with an unnamed sony game console, I thought I would try something new. If you asked ten people who Cowon was, I would say probably nine of the ten couldn't tell you. It is very sturdy and has the same general shape/dimensions as the ipod. Clearly designed to compete with Apple, the iAudio X5 has some very valuable aspects:
3-0 out of 5 stars user friendly. poor quality
i bought my x5 the same time video ipod came out and i should have waited for the ipod. the x5 is a great mp3 player but the screen is smaller then ipod. if you want to use the software that came with x5 then you need a PC. i have a imac and none of the software is compatible. the only advantage that x5 has is the built in fm tuner and ability to download pictures directly from digital camera to x5 which i never tried. if i had to choose between ipod and x5 i pick ipod because there is more support and more accesories to choose from. ...
