ipod - be aware of problems and rude tech support
I baught a 30 GB ipod and facing a problem that when I play certain MP3 songs they play well without EQ settings (i.e. when EQ="off') but with EQ settings ON (i.e. EQ=acoustic) ipod reboots itself... so bad.. when I talked customer/tech. represetatives it was told to me that Apple only supports the data from iTunes (apple store) and my data may have problem... (although same data plays fine on other devices including other ipods of same type..Although they still claim on problem with data :(((

It seems to me that more people are much more interested in downloading music off the internet, rather than purachasing it in the tradional record stores. With Apple's success of the Ipod, many companies have all tried to capture the success that they've brought out within the past sevral years. Awesome MP3 player
This is an excellent MP3 player.It is my first, but I still think it is good. It has enough space for people who do not have a million songs.The music playback is very good.I am actually listening to it while I write this.It takes a bit of time to load in the songs, but it is still good. The volume ranges from mute to very loud.I put it up on full volume to test it, and my ears started to hurt.That's how loud it is.I have to keep it in the bottom quarter of the range.I can hear out loud a foot from my head medium when it is on full.That is one good point.It is extremely small, Even smaller than I need.There is barely any time in between the songs.There is actually about 0 seconds.The only con I have found is that that the backlighting on the screen is not very good.I would still buy it even though.All in all there is a reason I gave it 5 stars: this MP3 player rocks!

Impressive Little Device
I bought my daughters the 512mb Sansa SanDisk for Christmas last year. When I received it, prior to Christmas, I checked it out and liked it so much, I bought myself the Sansa M240 1Gb, to take on vacation with me. I've had it for almost a year now and have absolutely no complaints about it. It has worked flawlessly. Only suggestion I have - convert your MP3's to WMA's and then synch them to this device. You'll get twice as much music on it and they sound just as good as MP3's! If this one ever breaks, I'd buy another SanDisk, easily.

Excelent Quality
Five starts to this unit. I bought it from Amazon 3 weeks ago and it is simple perfect. The arm-band is what I need to run, the FM radio is very good, the sound is also good but the best thing to me is the materials used in this player. I have bought some other models, some of them even costed me more but this is the finest. The buttons are solid and resistant.

Good for music, video, and pictures
Most of the reviews have done a better job than I could about the details of the good and bad about the 80GB iPod, so I'll talk to the people like me: Mac owners with loads of pictures, a number of songs, and a few videos.

The latest flagship of the iPod lineup has only marginal differences between it's prior generation. Yet, the changes are exactly the little things that every wanted out of the prior models. iPod now has a much brighter screen with better resolution, it has the kind of space that allows you to tote quite a few movies, TV shows, and still have room for your whole music collection. The unspoken charm of this device is the simplicity of the interface and controls. The iPod is really a marvelous example of market research. Excellent for the money
I received my Sansa not long ago, and I am very happy with the operation and quality of the unit. A great value for the money.

somebody should sue them
Sansa e270 is good untill it syncs good.After awhile it begins to sync bad.And than you will get a problem, real problem.It won't delete what you deleated in WMP, it will reshufle your music, it will make coppies of music which are impossible to delete.In all good player, except SanDisk need to fix their software bags with Sync.

Just got this yesterday
I've only been using it for a few hours and here's some honest negative criticisms of the product.There's no dedicated volume button...if you are in a menu and you want to adjust the volume tough luck...you can still adjust the volume but only on one screen.The battery life indicator sometimes oscillates between half full and 3/4 full...make up your mind...are you half full or 3/4 full?Within an hour of using it, the screen just went black but my music was still playing...I couldn't see what I was doing...I could still adjust the volume but if I started to push random buttons I would have no idea where I am on the screen...the solution? I had to turn it off and turn it back on again...problem solved.I just hope it doesn't do this consistently.Now I wish I could give this 1 star...or better yet none...The first time I charged the product it worked fine...now my computer won't even recognize the player...i'll be returning this for a full refund...Correction: I didn't return it for a refund; Circuit City just replaced it with a new one right away which was nice.Hopefully this one turns out to be better than the last.I really want to rate this product high because the sound quality is excellent/superb and that's all I really care about.The photo/video feature is extra that I don't really use. ... What a great little Apple product!
There are not a lot bad things that you can say about the Apple Ipod Nano 1 Gig model.It is an amazing little piece of equipment that has a nice bright color screen, is so small that you forget you have it, and is very easy to use even for some body that has never used an MP3 player before buying the Nano. In addition, this model stores enough songs for me (about 500, 2 to 4 minute songs) to be happy with until the next time that I get switch song via the very easy to use Itunes software that Apple also produces.Of course, you can use every Ipod as a portable storage unit just as you could a flash drive which is handy.

Great Product!
I use my Ipod Nano daily. This product is wonderful because it allows you to bring your music or audiobook ANYWHERE. For example, I take it to work, I bring it home and put it into my Ipod alarm clock, I take it in my car and have the tunes broadcast to through my radio, etc....
Nice for the size
I have a 30 and 60 gb video ipod along with this nano.. The nano is cool because of its size and the 4gb holds just enough music to keep your playlist fun for about a week in the car, then its time to mix it up a bit. The battery life is just awful on the nanos compared to a regular ipod, maybe apple should work on fixing issues like this instead of trying to plan a release date for the 200gb ipod!!!

I am so sorry I wasted my money on this iPod. It's unreliable and doesn't work most of the time. The battery runs down fast; iTunes frequently won't recognize it and I've had to reset a dozen times. Dumped 4GB nano for this
I was impressed with the 1st generation nano 4gb.However 4gb is too small to hold all my legally purchased songs as I use 320kbps in encoding.Therefore I took the 2G nano 8gb.Here are my 2 cent:
The best MP3 player ever!
This iPod has to be the best MP3 player ever made.The sound quality is superb.Navigation is extreamly easy.The ultra thin profile is a brilliant.I keep it in an armband and can hardly tell that it's there most of the time.It's also nice to have the comfort of not having to worry about breaking a hard drive when working out.I had no problems transferring music over and had fun buying music from the iTunes store.The remodeled headphones that came with these are way more comfortable that the gen ones and don't fall out of your ears as easy.The rounded edges of the body of this Nano are even slightly more comfortable to hold.
Many problems and glitches with 2nd Gen 8 GB iPod nano
This is my second nano. After my first, I built my life around the iPod...I wondered how I lived without one for so long...I purchased all of the goodies...3 sets of headphones, 4 different types of cases from workout to casual, I upgraded my car stereo so it plugged directly into the Alpine head unit, I purchased a 'remote' unit that plugs directly into my Audio Video controller at home...life was good.

Wow this thing is small! I Love it!
Very small, very thin and very powerful. I love it. It put all my songs onto it (180) in less than 4 mins. Song quality is excellent. Easy to use. Very touch sensitive wheel. The best Mp3 Player out there. People have complained that the 2GB only comes in silver, well big whop. LOL. I don't buy an Mp3 player for the color, I but it for its functionality, sound quality and ease of use. This is my first ipod. APPLE YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!!

Very Hard to Setup with I Tunes 7 in Windows XP
I am a Microsoft Certified Professional, it took me 3 days to finally make my iPod to sync.
Nothing is Perfect, Apple keeps trying though!
I have to recommend this product, because of its overall look, feel and ease of use. I have owned 3 Ipod products and have never had to return one, take it in for repair or have it break.

I didn't particularly want one
I wasn't really interested in iPods. My youngest son got one of these for Christmas last year and I conceded it was cool, but didn't see the point. After all, I had XM satellite radio and all the music I could stand.

Arguable the best product Apple has ever made, the iPod Video (5G) does exactly what it's supposed to, in the best looking package, with the best user interface.For all the talk of iPod killers, I don't see it happening anytime soon.There's simply nothing better or easier to use than the iPod + iTunes package out there for 95% of consumers.This is the thin wedge into Microsoft's empire!

Excellent Product
The Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB MP3 and Video Player is an awesome product at a very affordable price. Being at the same price as the 30 GB iPod (here @ Amazon) it's quite challenging for some to choose among the two. After giving it a lot of thought I decided to go for this product since it has more features and its flaws (when compared to the iPod) are negligible.
Better than an iPod.
I love the Creative ZenVision:M 30 GB MP3 and Video Player.I have not owned an iPod, but from using friend's, I think the Creative player is much nicer to operate, and I like the features better.It's much easier to place media (pictures, videos, and music) onto the player exactly where you want it, and how you want it displayed on the player itself.

awesome product/service
i got this ipod for my birthday , and if you like a lot of music, get it, if not get a smaller version ipod,the music videos are 1.99 on itunes, songs are .99c , and games are 4.99 , movies are more up towards 15/20 bucks, its such a good toy for everyone, i listen to it all the time in high school studyhall/homeroom ,also if your apple earbud headphones crap out (where one side plays the other one doesnt-thats what always happens to me) go to apple support site and they'll next-day DHL you a new set , only catch is you have to send the defective ones back(but the mailer is prepaid so its no charge to send it back), i have the nano , and the video and ive gone through 4 sets of headphones , thats how im impressed with the customer service. my ipod crapped out bc i listen to it 3 hrs a day daily and change songs/volume frequently so one day i got a sad ipod icon and the ipod froze up alot, it was on a sunday night(late) i logged on to apples support site,put it in a dhl dropbox on tuesday afternoon and by friday i had a BRAND NEW replacement ipod(they sent me a prepaid next-day box for dhl to ship it back) the only hassles of that is 1. you have to go to a dhl drop box to ship it , 2. a few days without music lmao, i hope this review shows you how good the ipod is / and what support force is behind it

The Suprise Price and Great Build Make This a Fantastic MP3 Player
Although there are no large differences between the last iPod with Video Playback (like there was with the Nano), Apple has done some improvements that should be to your liking. Apple suprised everybody by making the price $249, and greatly impacted Microsoft's future MP3 player's price point.

Dont buy this
There are alot of things wrong with this MP3 player.
Perfect Gym Companion
This little player has a home in my gym bag.I searched for MP3 players for a couple of months before deciding on this one.I had several uses in mind for it, but primarily I wanted it for the gym.I figured I would also use it occassionally while bike riding, jogging and once in a while I'd listen to it while I'm flying or at the office.

Probaly the only great thing about this thing is that it fits in the shape of your grip, Otherwise it is bad. Negatives:the screen is hard to read, the ear phones are very uncomfortable, chep carriying case, takes too long to shut off, bad volume, some times when I'm going through the playlist and I stop on a song, and it starts in the middle of the song, bad radio connection. Close to perfection
To hold this iPod is to be amazed. It is almost lighter than air - any thinner and it would slip through your hands. It is truly remarkable that something so lightweight, so small can do so much. My less than perfect rating is for the screen size and lack of firewire support. As I creep into my late 30s, I simply cannot read text that small anymore, and playing solitaire on that screen really hurts my eyes. The definition & brightness in the screen are truly remarkable, however. I truly miss the firewire iPods. On a Mac, synching was just faster w/ the firewire models - and if I'm on an older Mac that has USB 1.0 and FireWire, I would prefer firewire, but am stuck using USB. *sigh*
So glad i didn't buy a first generation nano!
For Christmas, my dad is buying me an ipod nano. I have been doing alot of research on this little gadget. It appears to be as good as they say it is. i cant wait especially to get games on it, and personalize my settings menu. There is practically EVERYTHING on this ipod! From a calander to a stop watch, to a slide show for your photos to a really long battery life. ipod definetly created a winner.

What a great little Apple product!
There are not a lot bad things that you can say about the Apple Ipod Nano 1 Gig model.It is an amazing little piece of equipment that has a nice bright color screen, is so small that you forget you have it, and is very easy to use even for some body that has never used an MP3 player before buying the Nano. In addition, this model stores enough songs for me (about 500, 2 to 4 minute songs) to be happy with until the next time that I get switch song via the very easy to use Itunes software that Apple also produces.Of course, you can use every Ipod as a portable storage unit just as you could a flash drive which is handy.

This ipod is awesome! it hold 240 songs(more songs then i will need)It is sleek and small and it looks great! you should really buy it! The only flaw is when you need to charge the comp needs to be on and Itunes is really complicated.

Good for music, video, and pictures
Most of the reviews have done a better job than I could about the details of the good and bad about the 80GB iPod, so I'll talk to the people like me: Mac owners with loads of pictures, a number of songs, and a few videos.
King of Portable Media Devices for a Reason
The latest flagship of the iPod lineup has only marginal differences between it's prior generation. Yet, the changes are exactly the little things that every wanted out of the prior models. iPod now has a much brighter screen with better resolution, it has the kind of space that allows you to tote quite a few movies, TV shows, and still have room for your whole music collection. The unspoken charm of this device is the simplicity of the interface and controls. The iPod is really a marvelous example of market research. Please answer a question about this item!
It seems I can't find out if you can actually play back the fm recordings on the player, as the 1gb version review states you have to connect it to your PC to get them, which is not good at all, If I record from the radio, I want to be able to play it back on the clix! Also is this really easy to download music? Can you download from itunes?? (I already have music and a video purchased through them, I would like to put on this)
Absolutely incredible player.
The sound quality of the iRiver Clix beat my expectations by quite a large margin. And I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the 2.2 inch (320x240 pixel) display. I wasn't expecting a whole lot in the video department, but even here the Clix delivers smooth, good looking video - all things considered. While I'm not in love with WMP 11, managing multimedia content with it is pretty intuitive and simple. The player's interface is even simpler/more intuitive. With so many features and capabilities, it's easy to be intimidated by this bit of technology. But there's no reason to be. iRiver obviously invested some time (and money) ensuring ease-of-use. The entire package is very well executed. And for the price - it cannot be beat. I'd highly recommend it.

Great Alternative to Apple's Proprietary Garbage
Let me start by saying that this thing is really small.I saw the pictures and even some video reviews on youtube, but I was still pleasantly surprised at how tiny this player actually is.My Motorola Razor cellphone dwarfs it.
This is some headache-causing hardware!
My beloved Zen Micro Photo's hard drive died, but thankfully, I had Big Box Retailer's extended warranty on it. Unfortunately, they no longer stock that unit, so I had to pick out another one. The Sansa looked like the best out of the bunch: Small, high-quality screen, video playback, high capacity, flash-based, and most importantly, it had a built-in voice recorder.
