Asus is the best!
This board is really dependable. Far much better than the Biostar. Really got my money's worth. Its great!

Stable Board with a loud southbridge fan
I was able to overclock this board with a AMD 64 3700+ 90nm CPU to 2.7Ghz, for over 48 hours.Heat is not a problem with a good heatpipe cpu cooler.I am however very disappointed with the cheap southbridge chipset cooler fan.After about 200 hours on time, the cooler started to whine loudly.I had to remove the top metal fan shroud to make it quiet again.If I turn the system off and reboot an hour later the fan makes the noise for another 30 minutes.
Serious Problems
Stay away from this motherboard. The BIOS upgrades are hit and miss. You might get lucky and get a good burn, but if you don't know what I'm talking about, definately stay away. I have tons of friends that hate this motherboard. I would recommend you go look at DFI motherboards if gaming or graphics is your priority. They Totally rock. ... Read more

BEWARE, this ISN'T the DELUXE model
27.Sept.2006 - Although the description says this is an ASUS K8N-E Deluxe, it isn't.It's just a K8N-E.The Amazon invoice also said it was a K8N-E Deluxe, but the shipper from Tiger Direct said they shipped a K8N-E, and that's indeed what was sent.If that's what you're looking for, and it's a decent price for that board, then you're OK.However, it you're expecting to have the Silicon Image SATA RAID 0/1/5 controller on board this MOBO, you'll be disappointed when it arrives.... ... Great Motherboard!!!!!
This is the best motherboard I have had experience using. Since I use mine for heavy gaming and video editing, the dual graphic card support comes in real handy for rendering video and game graphics. Not to mention the support of a raid SATA hard drive set up,which comes in handy with heavy video loads from my video editing. I am also very surprised at the quality of the built in sound card.
Excellent Documentation, easy install
I am not a career computer builder but I have built several of my own machines over the years.The manual with this motherboard, by far, had the most clear documentation and install process of any I've seen.
ASUS motherboards are great
I'm not really sure what happened with the first reviewer of this board but ASUS is top notch quality boards.Honestly, if you are not sure what you're doing with a board like this in the first place, I would recommend sticking with Dell systems.There are countless available non-ASUS resources readily available around the net.There are many forums out there that have hundreds of thousands of members who help each other out with what settings to use, what BIOS versions are the most stable etc.

Save your money, Do not buy this item!
The software Pinnacle Studio 9 which comes with the set is very user friendly, HOWEVER, the quality of the final video in either 3 settings (low,med, high quality, options which u can choose to capture video in) is Awful. The analog to digital conversion box (hardware)is terrible. Video looks fine in a very small screen 360x480, however when u enlarge it to regular size (full computer screen) it is very grainy, choppy, overall very low quality, not suitable to be burnt on DVD or CD for archiving or for later to be watched on TV o r Computer.
