4-0 out of 5 stars Nice basic mouse, once you get it on.
I have been using this mouse for over a year now and it runs pretty smoothly. Normally the mouse is within a feet of the sensor and sometimes I enjoy sitting back and using the mouse scroll about 2 feet away, scrolling down webpages.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good mice like Jerry !!!
It performs very well. Best value for your money.
3-0 out of 5 stars Could be better
This mouse is actually about 2/3 normal size, which makes it more portable than a normal mouse but fits my hand reasonably well. Once the battery is fitted in, the mouse is significantly heavier than a normal mouse which takes some taking used to but is not a problem for every day use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for PowerPoint, but not for Corel
I do a great deal of public speaking, but usually use Corel Presentations instead of PowerPoint (for numerous reasons which I won't describe here!).I have an older and cheaper Targus remote device which has a very simple array of functions, and it works well with both programs. The features and range of the Logitech convinced me to give it a try, hoping it would work with Corel--but it doesn't (and converting from a Corel file to PPT tends to botch the bullet animations). The plus is that it works flawlessly with PowerPoint.Bottom line: for those faithful few who use Corel, this is not the device for you--unless another reviewer out there can tell me how to get this to work!

5-0 out of 5 stars It DO have "Resume" function on button "F5/Esc"
Just bought this wonderful "toy" and played around for few minutes. Unlike other reviewers' complains, I found two things need to point out:
5-0 out of 5 stars The best one by far...
I've owned 3 other remote clickers, and this one is the best by far.For starters, it uses AAA batteries which are easy to procure and replace, whereas other models use those little quarter-size batteries that require a special trip to Radio Shack to buy.Plus, AAA's hold more juice to begin with, AND this clicker has an on/off switch, whereas others turn off on their own after time without use, meaning after they drain the battery! The transmitter on this clicker has plenty of power to reach the back of the computer/USB receiver stub from long distances, whereas others require the presenter to be close to the computer because they transmit a weak signal. The form factor of this one is perfect in your hand and the buttons are easily used, even by people unfamilar with it -- it's very intuitive. It has a very useful timer/clock that allows me to watch how much time I have left to finish my presentation -- it will also vibrate in my hand with 5 minutes to go, 2 minutes to go, and when my time is up.It allows me to add more time on the fly. This remote clicker is absolutely perfect in every way, and I can't tell you how many colleagues have purchased one after they tried mine.Don't waste your money on anything else -- they really got it right in all the human factors/UI aspects and all the engineering aspects when they made this. ... Sleek, small, and finished in a sophisticated two-tone black-on-black paint scheme, the Logitech Optical Mouse Black is one of the least expensive name brand optical mice in the marketplace. Featuring optical tracking technology, which monitors movement via a tiny light-emitting diode in lieu of a traditional rolling ball, it is more precise and requires far less cleaning than a conventional ball mouse. Moreover, you can use it on practically any flat surface aside from clear glass, thus negating the need for a mouse pad.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars At this price point i think the many other mice feel more solid than this logitech mouse.
I mainly chose this mouse because I needed one quickly and it was black and matched my set up. I had been using the standard greyish white optical mouse with a scroll wheel and a red light that shined out from under my wrist. This one feels smaller, but still comfortable. However a couple weeks of normal usage made the mouse much less solid feeling. The plastic now mushes as the seems flex slightly in my hand. I decided to have a friend repair the cable of my old mouse. :-/ I am going to donate this mouse to a friend who still has a tracking ball mouse. I like some of Logitechs products and higher end mice. But I would stay away from this mouse. Its not bad, its just not good enough to pick over other mice that cost the same amount.
5-0 out of 5 stars Works Great
Works great. No software to install, just insert into a USB port and it works. Gret price too.

4-0 out of 5 stars A decent mouse...
For a mouse valued at $12 and eligible for free shipping on orders worth over $25 (at least it was for me when I got it from amazon.com) this mouse is decent at best.I will be brief as possible in addressing its characteristics.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good but not great...
which is a disappointment. I had waited anxiously for this mouse as I had waited for the MX1000 Laser mouse that I absolutely loved but found a tad heavy.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best mouse you can buy
This mouse is incredible. This mouse is incredibly adjustable. You can change pointer speed, horizontal scroll speed, vertical scroll speed and acceleration.Being it a laser, it is fast and precise. The side scroll allows you to toggle between all of the applications you have open in a blink, a must for multi taskers. My favorite part of this mouse is the scroll wheel. This just blew me away. This is a "smart" mouse in every sense of the word. You can change to what they call free scrolling with just a click. And that means no clicking in the scrolling.Scroll to the bottom of a ridiculously long document in a few seconds, no joke. The one thing that has always got my goat on mice is the scrolling. Most of them do no scroll smoothly.Half of them end up getting caught somehow while you're scrolling and the page jumps either up or down.Either way, when you're scrolling slowly with other mice, there's no such thing as keeping a rhythm in scrolling. With this mouse, one click on the scroll is one click on the page, period.Maybe this doesn't bother many people, but that drove me up the wall.Sometimes you would scroll a couple times and the page wouldn't even move. This is all related to how the scroll wheel is built. The scroll on this is built very solidly as you know on this one. Finally, the countoured design of this mouse fits perfectly in your hand. The foward and back buttons on the side make for browsing a breeze.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best mouse I've owned
This is hands down a fantastic mouse. It's an investment in ergonomics, which for some people may be overkill. However, if you rely on a precise, comfortable mouse for hours a day, then this is really a sound purchase. If you're looking for a decent basic mouse, then this pricetag is going to be a bit much for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great mouse choice
If you have a laptop with bluetooth, you need this mouse. It works flawlessly; just like a regular wireless mouse. The advantage of a bluetooth mouse over a regular wireless mouse is that one doesn't need to plug anything into the laptop. Not only does that save a USB port, but it's one less thing to carry (or to lose). The batteries last for months, and it comes with a nice little pouch.

2-0 out of 5 stars NEVER install Logitech's SETPOINT software.
I will keep it simple. :) I am using a dell notebook with WINXP and it has bluetooth s/w (Dell's supplied widcomm) already installed for my pda. The mouse got recognised and works right a way using Winxp's default driver. I kept the existing Widcomm bluetooth stack (or hub - as in logitech literature)without installing any logitech driver/sw from the included CD. Mouse can be turned it off at night, and turned back on in the morning, it has never been failed to reconnect. All is well until 1 day I want to assign the wheel button for keystroke assignment. So I d/l & installed "setpointxxx_v270"from logitech driver section. "setpointxxx_v270" is a bloated s/w contains 2 parts. 1st part is "setpoint" which customizes your mouse behaviour. 2nd part islogitech's own bluetooth stack & services & GUI which are supposed to install only when your pc doesnt contain any Bluetooth stack/hub. However after installing setpoinxxx_v270 & reboot & check update & reboot, bad things started to happen. V270 mouse will fail to reconnect after being turned off & on. It will also fail to reconnect when PC is resuming from standby. No matter what I do, the mouse refuses to reconnect. So I uninstall Setpointxxx_V270. Still it can be detected but failed to reconnect. I end up fixing it by manually remove all logitech residue craps & delete "Bluetooth Virtual HID mouse" under "Human Interface Devices" in "Device manager".(u have to "show hidden devices" to see it)Then reconnect the mouse again. Its clear that Logitech's setpointxxx_V270 will screw up the mouse BT driver. Now It works well without d Logitech's stupid s/w. In terms of hardware, I will rate 4 stars. Logitech loses 2 stars not providing a proper supporting s/w driver.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best tracking for bluetooth
I have used a lot of bluetooth mice, and this one has the best tracking of ony of them. Be aware that bluetooth has some limitations, though. Almost any high quality wired mouse will perform better, and many RF mice will too. If you are a tricking maniac, or a gamer, don't use bluetooth, period. If you want bluetooth, either because you don't want an extra dongle, you need all your USB ports, or you need the long wireless range (for controlling presentations in a big lecture hall), this is one of the best mice you can buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than earlier versions...
I have owned MS Ergonomic keyboards since they were first released and find this one to be better than prior versions in several respects. The keys are much easier to press and the keyboard is tilted up at an angle so the front part is higher than the back part which reduces pronation of the wrists. As some others have noted, it is annoying that they changed the size of certain keys but I am not finding this so difficult to get used to. It is INCREDIBLE that they have a back and forward button integrated into the keyboard right below the space bar, so it is no longer necessary to go through enormous repetitive motions to press the back button in a browser. This may be the greatest feature of this keyboard! But, most importantly, it is more comfortable and easier to type on than any prior version or any other product I have tried.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Keyboard That Makes My Wrists Feel Better
This is a well-constructed keyboard that has a nice feel to it and a good assortment of programmable keys. It isn't advertised as such, but the "zoom slider" is also programmable. Here's how to reprogram it as a scroll slider: Edit C:\Program Files\Microsoft IntelliType Pro5.5\IType\Setup\Files\commands.xml.
2-0 out of 5 stars Ouch!
I wanted this keyboard because I have tendonitis in both hands and arms, and the layout felt very comfortable in the store where I tried it out. However, as some others have mentioned, the spacebar requires a lot of force if you have small hands and cannot press it down in the center. My thumbs and wrists hurt after just a few minutes (I could work for 15-20 minutes on my old keyboard before having that much pain). It's a shame because otherwise I really like the design; maybe they could split the space bar into two keys (one for each thumb) and then you wouldn't have to press it so hard. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Nice addition if you do a lot of photo enhancement
If you do a lot of photo retouching, the Graphire4 will give you a lot more control than a mouse. The pressure sensitivity is very helpful when you are masking. The lighter you press, the less dense the mask is.It allows you to "paint" in the correction/effect.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent beginners tablet
I was considering purchasing a tablet and Wacom was consistantly recommended.I was originally hesitant to buy the graphire line because I didnt think it would be very good for drawing compared to the top line (the intuos line).I was pleasantly surprised to be proven wrong.Installing a driver was a piece of cake and I began drawing away in minutes. It is very responsive and works with all my drawing programs (paintshop pro, painter, photoshop). The mouse is pretty useless however, and I would have preferred if they had included some extra pen tips instead (they seem to wear out, though I do press pretty hard).Other than that, its an amazing product.

1-0 out of 5 stars A surprising disappointment from a usually stellar company.
I'm a seasoned graphics pro who always reads the manuaI, and have owned several previous models of Wacom tablet. For the life of me, I just couldn't get the Graphire4 working on my Mac at all. The installer crashed (Kernal panic!) my otherwise rock solid Tiger installation. Downloading the latest driver from Wacom's web site was only marginally useful; the cursor jittered like crazy no matter how I adjusted the control panel, and even moderately fast motion caused it to "submarine" from one side of the screen to the other. Wacom's sparse FAQ suggested that interference from my monitor might have been the culprit, and could be remedied by moving the tablet further away. It didn't work, and besides, I have no plans use the tablet from across the room.

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT Good Long Term
I have had my mouse for about 8 months and it is broken. The "L" shaped design for the thing you hook to the computer is the problem. I will call it a receiver. It you stow the receiver too many times into the mouse it starts to break. Over time the receiver doesn't receive.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great response, compact size
Overall, I really like this mouse. I hated having wires tangled at my desk, so I went ahead and purchased this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mighty Mouse - I love you
The BlueTooth Mighty Mouse is a WONDERFUL improvement over the original Mighty Mouse and clearly, the best bluetooth mouse available ---- a direct comparison to other mouse's available -
4-0 out of 5 stars Very nice with some caveats
First, it looks beautiful. Beautiful symmetry not just from left to right but also from top to bottom. It's beautifully curved, almost like a pebble smoothed to perfection by the action of the tides. Just a small protrusion for the 'scroll wheel' and subtle grey areas at the side that act as a fourth mouse button.
5-0 out of 5 stars How DidI Live Without It?
This wireless mouse is awesome!I love the right click feature, scrolling and ability to use expose just by squeezing the edges.I do Windows for work through a Citrix client and some of the commands require right clicks. This mouse does it no problem--and you sacrifice none of the Apple aesthetics. It also works on the surface of my dining room table, which used to trip up other lesser laser mice, including apple's one button wireless mouse.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfection Anywhere
I just bought myself a laptop for college and knew that tiny touchpad would just not do it for me. So I checked out the reviews here and decided on this Logitech wireless mouse; I don't think any product I've ever bought has so exceeded my expectations. It really does work 10 meters away, but by that point, you can't even see the screen!!! During downtime between classes I can even impress my classmates with how perfect I can control Unreal Tournament or CounterStrike wirelessly... pretty cool. Plug and play, a perfect weight with the batteries, wonderful scrolling, and the usb is small, cool and most importantly, unobtrusive. Before I type anymore, I'll use it to press "Submit"!:)

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a mouse without annoyances
I've gone through about 6 different mice, and each one had their pros and cons (mostly cons).I finally found the MX518, and trust me, you don't know what you're missing until you've used it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful.
I ordered this on the 31st and it came earlier today, 2 days before it was due. Very nice shipping by Amazon. I had a mouse with a ball before this, so I'm still getting used to the drastic change. It's much smoother. The only things which had me concerned about this mouse were that it looks somewhat big and it looked like the gray part was a baggy plastic covering which I feared would cause sweating. Both of the fears were just that, I was surprised to see that it was probably around 50% smaller than I expected it and the plastic covering is just a brilliant paint job. The buttons near the mousewheel, more specifically the one furthest back, can be a bit uncomfortable to use but other than that I have no problem with the mouse. Five stars!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool looking mouse...Good for gaming... Not sure how long it will last.
I like this mouse, but I am not sure how long it will last.I play a right-clicking game, and it seems that the right click is going. No problems yet, but I am not sure. This is great for casual gamers, but the jury is still out for hardcore ones. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Truly Stellar Tablet
I have nothing but praise for this amazing little tablet.I bought it mainly for use in conjunction with Photoshop CS2, but quickly discovered that its use extended far beyond the scope of a single program. It was only a matter of days before I packed away my standard optical mouse; and now this tablet is the only pointing device that I use with my computer.Simply put, I absolutely love it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Still worth it
I'm a (very) amateur artist.I have a web comic over at comicgenesis (Hey Fox) and I have been using this tablet to ink.I was surprised how easily I transitioned from traditional materials to the electronic medium, and found the selection of pen nubs to be extremely helpful in getting exactly the right feel from the pen.The buttons and customizable touch pad are really handy (I keep mine with a "step back" function, open apple, shift and space bar).Oh right, and I'm using a Mac.Just in case your curious the initial install was immediate (plug and play) though the software added a whole other layer of function!
5-0 out of 5 stars The best money you'll spend on an art tool!
My wife recently purchased an Intuos 3 6x8 for me as a gift, and I honestly can't imagine how I ever worked without one of these before.

5-0 out of 5 stars So much better than a mouse!
I have 2 cordless TrackMan Wheels & 2 corded versions. I can't stand to use a computer that is not eqiped with one. It makes so much more sense to to simply use my thumb to navigate rather than having to keep picking up the mouse and moving it to get to whereever it is you are trying to go and ran out of mousepad before you could get there. The TrackMan is very sensible and reliable. Why they don't quit making mice and make more of these is beyond me. The people who don't like trackballs have just never really used a trackball. They must be same people that have made American cars cushy and buy iPods.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great fit, awful to clean
It fits my hand well and is very responsive to small movements, however the trackball collects gunk and is extremely difficult to clean. You can't simply pop out the trackball and wipe down the contact points; you need a screwdriver and at least a half hour of patience to put the pieces back together.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fits the bill
There is everything positive about this product and nothing negative....
