Reliable Printing
If you are looking for a reliable network printer with a fair amount of features for a small office this is it.We currently have 8-10 people that use this printer daily yet we never had we had a problem with it. I added the duplex tray for some heavy duty print jobs. It went in flawlessly and worked perfect.If your doing heavy volume printing you might want something a little more zippy but if your doing your average office workload this is perfect.Did I mention it supports internet printing.So print to it from home. ... Wide Multi-Color Page StreaksRender Printer USELESS.
Printer has had very light use and suddenly developed mostly magenta & cyan toner leaks. The excess toner is streaked and transfered to every page resulting in full length page striping. The print outs are absolutely useless for presentation and barely useable for drafts. HP denies there is a problem however I see that I am not the only one with this issue. Won't buy HP again. This is clearly a defective product design. There is no resolve. Your printer is now an expensive and rather large doorstop.

HP has lost me as a customer..
I'm a cartoonist. I need to be able to print color images for clients. I bought this printer two years ago from Staples, for $2500! Worked great for a couple months, after which the toner cartridges started leaking and the print quality rapidly dimished.
HP LJ4600 Quality issues with cartridges and support
Now we have this printer for nearly 2 years in office use, and before purchase we find that this printer has a good price per printout. But noone expected that some of the cartridges make stripy printout (with black, cyan and margenta)when the cartridge is only 50% used.... so the price per page doubles due to some misconstructed cartridges.

Printer disappointing even in first year.
Printer required repair in first year. Very problematic. Bought because it was a recommended bargain printer but sometimes you do get what you don't pay for.

How to fix paper feeder issue
Mine worked fine for 2 years as well, but gradually stopped feeding paper.The issue is that the rubber pickup roller worn out.
Paper feeder problem
I bought this printer about 2 1/2 years ago, and it worked very well...until now.Now the paper feeder will not feed paper at all, making it impossible to print.Also, Amazon's description of 12,000 pages in toner saver mode is A TOTAL LIE, unless you only print 2 words per page.I get more like 2,000 pages in toner save mode until the text becomes too light to read. ... Great Printer For Windows Platform But Not Mac Friendly
Ignore the gripes.This is a great economical printer for a windows desktop or network.It is not equipped for the MAC out of the box and patches must be installed on the MAC to make it work.Even with the patches, it does not print perfectly from a MAC but it works ok.Apart from the Mac frustration (my own fault for failing to understand the limitation up front) this printer has performed flawlessly for over two years.Four stars because MAC drivers were not made available by Konica or Minolta, otherwise five stars.

Good and Bad
Alright, I use this printer at our school. Don't print much, just flyers and envelopes mostly. We have owned it for 2 years. Luckily the printer went bad before the warranty ran out and the company replaced the whole printer. The first one screaked liked a bunch of squirrels in a cage and so did the new one. Everyone always comments of the sound when it prints. The good thing is the quality of the printouts. You can prints vivid photos and great-looking colorful brochures and the footprint for this model is quite small, taking up a corner of a large desktop. Considering that we got the printer for$299 after a huge rebate, so I guess that I can't complain too much since that barely more than some inkjet printers. If you are looking at buying this model look for the newer ones, I hear they improved them greatly.

The Pinto of Printers
What's the difference between a Pinto and a Minolta QMS 2300 DL?The Pinto will last ten times longer than the Minolta.If you buy this printer, you need to hope that it breaks down before the warranty is up or you will be stuck with a pice of junk.Mine was perfect for one year but is on it's last legs after a year and a half.Minolta refuses to fix a known issue with the paper feed because it is out of warranty.Unfortunately the known issue didn't start until the warranty expired.If I print once it has gone into sleep mode, the first page starts 1" or so too far down the page.Then for every page after that, I have to take the paper out of the tray, turn it over and put it back in before the printer recognizes that there is paper in the tray.Print quality has taken a nose dive as well.I am still on my second toner cartridge for cyan and my third for magenta, yellow and black.Judge for yourself.If you want a printer to last longer than this, buy something else. ...
