Outdoor speakers
I've had these speakers for about one month now and have them mounted outside over my deck.Thery are located under the eve and after two significant rain storms they still sound great.And even at only 50w they not only fill the deck, but also my smaller sized yard with sound.The mounts work well.I also have an outdoor volume control between the speakers and the receiver inside.The whole set-up is working wonderfully, and these speakers sound great for the price. ... i recently purchased these speakers for my patio setup.the sound quality wont blow your mind, but it does not sound bad.its large and lound enough to hear for an outdoor speaker for the price. it has a switch in the back for outdoor/indoor.not really sure what that does.very easy installation with the brackets included.(no screws provided) overall great unit for thye price

Heavy Duty
I just purchased my second pair of Atrium 45's to add some sound to a patio addition.My first pair is 2.5 years old and still sound great being that they are hanging from a wall that is largely un-protected from the weather (Seattle rain).I can go out in a down-pour, crank the music up and the sound is still excellent.

Surprisingly good speakers for an outdoor space
I bought a pair of these a couple of years ago from Crutchfield for just under $200.We had a back porch with outdoor fireplace built onto the house and wanted to have music without having to use a portable stereo boombox.I had some unused stereo equipment available so I ran some long lengths of speaker cable from the den to the roof beam of the porch.I started out trying to utilize a pair of small bookshelf speakers I had on hand but they sounded dreadful out there.I went shopping for some "made-for-the-outside" speakers and the Polks looked like they would fit the bill.

Don't Waste Your Money!
These speakers, in one word, suck.I made the mistake of buying them because they were so cheap.I guess I forgot the old adage "You Get What You Pay For", didn't I?

Purchased these speakers for my 88-year old mother so she wouldn't disturb her neighbors with the volume up so loud on her TV.They are WONDERFUL!She LOVES THEM!! Semi-pleased
I bought 2 sets of these speakers after looking into several other brands and found these to be the best price value.I'm semi-pleased witht their performance.I bought them to replace my computer speakers because I have a laoptop and an ipod where I store ALL of my music.I like the fact that if I want music in many rooms of my house, I don't have to move the whole laptop as well as a small set of speakers.I leave my laptop hooked to the transmitter in the living room and have music in any room I want, including outside.

excellent product
I went to Best Buy to test all the outdoor speakers in person, and these did better than the BOSE and other high end brands. These are the best speakers for the money. They have great high and mid range sound, but lack much bass, which is to be expected with most outdoor speakers with speakers smaller than 4". If you have the money ($400+) go with the Klipsch speakers. These are the best alternative.

JBL Northridge speakers
Received speakers with no trouble at all.Sound quality is excellent.Installation was quite easy.Would definitely order from WholesaleAV again.

Excellent Speakers.
I had a chance to listen to these little speakers at a friend's house and I liked them very much. They had distinctive high ends that could only be found from JBL speakers. The midrange was pretty smooth and clear but obviously there was not much bass from the small 4" drivers. Because of their flexible on-wall mounting/positioning and since each of them also has a 3/4" Titanium-laminate tweeter as the E-series speakers, I planned to buy a pair of them to use as surround back speakers in my 7.1 speaker system which consists of all E-series speakers. However, when I contacted JBL's technical supports, I was told that the N24AWII's were very close timbre-match but not perfect match for the E-series speakers and that I would better use the E10's instead if I wanted perfect tonal match for my speaker system. I think I will get the E10's but the E10's can't be mounted on the wall as easily and as flexibly as the N24AWII. ... Read more

Not waterproof - "weather resistant"
Just make sure you know the difference. These speakers are NOT meant to get wet.They can handle being outside (ambient moisture, temp, wind, etc...) but aren't meant to be directly in the path of rain or snow.
Very good for the price
If you're looking for speakers to flood your patio with nice background sound without raising the ire of your neighbors, the Audio Source LS400's are a great choice.They are not the most powerful, but they provide excellent bacground music at a GREAT price.

I bought this speaker to help out my surround sound ystem.Every where else online, center speakers of similar ratings sold for twice as much. Needless to say I was happy to find this one. Although a little bigger than I would like, I'm very happy with the sound, design, and over all appearance. My system won't drive it to the limit, so I don't know how well it handles alot of watts, that would be the only reason I don't give it 5 stars.

Audiosource LS300 speakers
I resently installed these speakers on the outside of my house (backyard). I was amazed at the quality of sound that came out of such inexpensive speakers. I recommend these speakers to anyone who wants a good source of background music for their outdoor activities.

Great for poolside listening....
I haven't had my Audio Source speakers that long but so far they have been great! I paid about $40.00 for the pair to put up outside our pool and deck area. They have brackets that you can mount to the side of your house and they hold great. It did come with some screws that I have no idea what they go to but we really didn't need them anyway. If you are looking for some inexpensive speakers to just listen to music while you are lounging around outside these are great for that! I am very happy with my purchase.

Best for background Music
Pros: Lightweight, easy to install with brackets included, and a GOOD price-performance relation. Considering the limitations of the drivers and the housing etc, it is a good deal. The mid-range and high-range definition is pretty good.

Great speakers!!!
I recently purchased these speakers from a local walmart for about $20.00 and I am impressed with the quality of sound that these produce. Altec lansing has always been my brand of choice and has served me well. I play games, watch movies, and listen to music with these speakers and the sound is excellent. they can be very loud and at the higher of volumes, does start shaking things. I tried.i would absolutely recommend these to anyone who wants quality sound.

Great speaker system!
I really enjoy listening to these speakers.They have a well balanced sound.I can connect them right to my ipod or laptop.They sound great with any kind of music, games, or movies.I love the fact that they have volume, bass and tone controls all on the front of the base box.Can't beat the price either!I would recommend these speakers to anyone that likes high quality sound but can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on an expensive speaker system that probably won't sound any better.

Great speakers
First off, they have diffrent name then on my box- mine are Bx3. Everything looks the same though. These speakers CRANK! Crystal clear on all notes, ballsy base for audio and games. UT2004 is a blast to play now, Doom3 + reserection becomes more intense with these speakers. All around, beats the hell outas my creative labs set. They are good for the price
My personal feelings are that any speaker can sound fantastic with a good amplifier/receiver that can be adjusted or "tuned" or when an equalizer is used. Even mono's or single cone speakers can sound as good as 3 ways. Quality sound media (record, tape, CD, Digital ect...) helps too. To me 3 ways and mono's always sound better "out of the box". My tastes are vary tight (but somewhat weak) bass's vary defined mid ranges and noticeable but weak high range (I don't like any hiss). I also don't care much for surround sound.
Huge Value and Unbelievable performance, and durable too
My brother and I bought a set of KLH 970 speakers8 or so years ago for my father to replace some old larger speakers in his house, and they are the best value speakers I have ever seen. We liked them so much we got a second set to replace the other set of speakers on his stereo. These little guys really deliver a great range of sound in a small package.It's not suprising to me that KLH is still making this exact model this many years later.You can't find another 3 way sound speaker at this price.Also, they are durable and are weather resistant. I don't recommend leaving them on a patio in a monsoon or a blizzard, and the black doesn't make good friends in bright sun, but you can mount these to the porch or patio roof/overhang and leave these out in damp weather with no loss of wear or sound, at least not as of yet. The more I looked around at different facilities with PA or sound systems outdoors, the more I have noticed these speakers being utilized.So if you have just a few bucks and want to some aged speakers, this is the perfect little set to get. Everybody thinks bigger and pricer is better, but I have to argue that these speakers have done their job superbly, and thats why my dad still uses them 8 years later. This 970 set of KLH speakers are actually Identical speakers to the 980 models, but run a 5-40 watt range whereast the 980 series runs 10-100 watt range.So don't break the bank if you want a set of small speakers, I think you will be suprised. Note, as with many small speakers, if you are a bass sound fan, then you might want to buy a sub-woofer, but these do a fine job at normal range.

The little speaker that could...
I purchased my pair of KLH 970A's about six years ago to use as rear surround speakers.My primary reason for buying them was their price - who could resist trying a pair of speakers at this price?I have enjoyed these speakers almost every day for the past six years, and they still amaze me with their quality.The build quality is superb, and unlike some fellow reviewers, I have found the speaker brackets to be well made and very useful.Speaker stands and brackets are one of the most overpriced audio accessories available - so it's amazing that KLH provides brackets for the 970A, especially at this price.
