5-0 out of 5 stars Works great on Win2000
The software included with the Trendnet adapter installed easily and appears to be very capable. It took only seconds to pair my Win2000 PC with my Motorola e815.I can use the software that came with the adapter to pull pictures off the phone. It's easier than using Motorola's own software. The software also allows for dial up networking with this phone.
3-0 out of 5 stars Works fine... sorta...
I bought the TRENDnet adaptor instead of the D-Link adaptor which Apple supports, based on price and the reviews below. I'm using it on my PowerMac Dual 2ghz G5 to connect a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse. Unfortunately, when the computer is put to sleep the mouse goes dead. The only way to reconnect the mouse is to disconnect the adpator and reconnect it. This is a bit of a pain and requires me to only use the adaptor in the USB port at the front of the Mac.
5-0 out of 5 stars Works out of the box with XP SP2
Adapter uses Windows drivers with Windows XP.Connects with no problem to cell phone (Cingular 2125) and GPS reciever (Holux GPSlim 236).

1-0 out of 5 stars Freezes Computers
I tried the DWL-G122 USB adapter in two laptop computers - an IBM Thinkpad and a Sony Vio.In each computer, the adapter worked for about 5 minutes whenever I activated it and then caused the computer to freeze for about 20 seconds, then unfreeze for 5 seconds in a repeating cycle for as long as the adapter remained activated.I tried a Belkin wireless USB adapter in the same two computers and it worked flawlessly.I also noticed that during the 5 minutes the D-link unit worked in each computer, it its link speed was substantially lower than that of the Belkin unit.

3-0 out of 5 stars worked but did not last long
This item actually works OK. WPA-PSK worked OK for me (with DI-624 router). The problem lies in the construction of this adapter. Mine broken after a few month of use. If you use it often on your laptop, the wires within the adapter can snap fairly quickly. I had to have mine soldered back on, but it is now broken again. I recommend that you either get a different one, or make sure using the USB dangle every time...
1-0 out of 5 stars Drops connection
This USB adapter is wasting of money and time. Originally I wanted to upgrade my 11.b adapter to 11.g adapter, so i bought this one.It turned out a bad bad decision, the speed fluctuated so wildly, and drops connection several time an hour. And the distance betwen the adpter to the router is only 6 feet downstairs. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Keyspan High Speed USB Serial Adapter
I got the adapter quickly and at a very good price.

2-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work with Magellan GPS
This adapter cord did not work with my Magellan SporTrak GPS. Magellan's own cord did not work either. This one did work with a glucose meter reader. It was twice as expensive as the two cords found that did work with the GPS unit. This one had its own configuration software and allowed for faster speeds, neither of which I need. I did return this cord for a full refund, including shipping, from Amazon.

3-0 out of 5 stars Speedbooster works ONLY with Speedbooster accesspoint
It works fine as a 802.11G network adapter. The 35% performance gain ONLY if you have a Linksys Wireless Router with Speedboost (makes sense).I was told that the adapter by itself has a 35% performance boost... NOT TRUE... TRUE if-and-only-if used with a Linksys Wireless Router.
3-0 out of 5 stars Good Product but follow the directions to the letter.
I bnought 2 of these products to use with a Linksys wireless router with speedbooster. To install it on the first computer I READ the directions before beginning, and also on the cd and booklets itself there are large stickers directing you to put the cd in first.
1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this junk.Plenty of other good adapters, why risk buying this
Mine actually works and I still hate it.

    6. Griffin Technology iMic USB External Sound Card

    Editorial Review

Manufacturers have made it increasingly easy to connect a host of FireWire and USB devices to your computer, but often at the expense of the microphone port and other jacks. Enter the Griffin iMic audio adapter, an affordable USB device that lets users connect microphones, speakers, cassette decks, and virtually any other audio source to their Macs and PCs for recording or playback. Among its many uses are recording voices or instruments for home movies, turning your laptop into a DJ studio, or converting your LPs and cassettes into MP3s or CDs. The iMic includes two 1/8-inch mini-jack ports (one mic/line-level input and one speaker output), along with an RCA-to-miniplug adapter for connecting audio components such as phonographs. Thanks to a small toggle switch on the unit, the microphone input can handle both mic-level recording and line-level signals. In addition, the iMic works with most recording software, and even comes with a CD-ROM loaded with Final Vinyl for Macintosh (for recording LPs), along with trial versions of several other applications. 5-0 out of 5 stars Works as expected
This is great piece of hardware. It's just what I've been looking at. I can connect my flat-panel iMac and start recording with no fuss at all. The manual is short but comprehensive. After all, do I really need a large discussion on how to hook up a line input device and start my recording software? I think not. The bundled software is simple to use and works just right. Of course, I can use the device with my other sound software without problems.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Pretty Nice External Soundcard
The sound on my PC laptop is actually pretty good, but for recording and play on external speakers, it was less than perfect. 30 seconds after plugging in the iMic, that all changed. I don't know if it's studio quality, but for transferring cassettes to MP3 (cleaning up noise with Audacity) and getting fuller sound out of the music collection on my hard drive, it's perfect. The iMic is great buy for the price if you want better sound options for your laptop.

5-0 out of 5 stars USB External Sound Card Lived up to expectations.
I purchased the iMic because I needed a stereo-input microphone, and my notebook computer only had a monaural microphone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works well, but no power switch
I use this to cool my PowerBook G4. The laptop is up on a simple stand, but it runs pretty hot; the CPU often runs up to 142+ degrees F, at which point the noisy internal fans turn on. With the little TT fan blowing across the keyboard area, the PowerBook seldom reaches 140 degrees, and the internal fans almost never kick in. The TT fan is nearly silent at its lowest levels, very quiet at the level I use (~halfway up), and not terribly loud even at its highest setting. It's definitely got a DIY-geeky look, but at least it's not geek-bling with pulsing LEDs or anything. My one big knock against it is its lack of an off switch. Seems like it would have been simple enough to have it click off when you turn it all the way down; as it is, I have to unplug it at the end of the day.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for cooling my external HDs
I bought two of these. One to blow over my two external HDs. They were pretty warm to the touch, now you can hardly feel any heat. I also have one blowing on my cable modem and network hub, just to keep things cool there.. I have them running 24/7 at hight speed andthere is almost no noise.

5-0 out of 5 stars Does the job extremely well
Since this is a modified case fan, it's incredibly reliable and quiet. Those cute USB fly fans barely move any air and fail after a few weeks of use. If you can take the semi-industrial / geek look, it performs fine as a personal desk fan. You'll get lot's of comments from your cube visitors.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Only Serial Adapter That Works With Virtual PC
There are two Windows applications that I need to use (Garmin GPS software and Accu-Chek Diabetes software) and I own a non-Intel Mac with Virtual PC.I had originally purchased a USB to Serial Adapter from Garmin, but Virtual PC could never recognize the GPS or Accu-Chek hardware.I was beginning to think that I would have to buy a new Intel Mac so I could run Mac OS X and Windows XP without an emulater.I did some research on the web and found someone who said that this IOGear Adapter was the only one that worked with Virtual PC and he was correct.I can now have Virtual PC connect to my GPS and Accu-Chek hardware and it is wonderful. If you own a non-Intel Mac and you are trying to find a USB to Serial adapter that works with Virtual PC then this is the ONLY choice and when the time comes that you do buy an Intel Mac then this adapter will still work for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works with Mac OS X (Tiger), Virtual PC and Garmin GPS
I bought this for one specific purpose: to attach my Garmin GPS Vista to my Mac (using Tiger) and then be able to use the Garmin software in Virtual PC. So you can imagine the hoops I had to go through. But despite all that, it installed without pain and works flawlessly both within Mac OS X as well as within Virtual PC (running Windows 98). ... 4-0 out of 5 stars For Mac Users, It Really Is Plug & Go!
As a long time Mac user in a PC-product dominated world, I always twitch slightly when installing generic "dual platform" products. No need in this case -- I slapped one into an older G4 (Gigabit Ethernet model with an Powerlogix processor upgrade) running MacOS 10.4.7, fired up the machine, and boom 4 additional ports (5 if you count the internal one, which I'm gonna figure out something to do with), no fuss, no muss, no drivers or tweaking needed. Although I haven't tried any formal timing runs, reading files either directly from a digital camera or via a generic flashcard reader is very notably faster (why I installed the card in the first place) making this product a very good investment of $20.

2-0 out of 5 stars The Jury is still out.
I bought this card for my Micron 1.2 GH Athlon based system running WinME. The on-board USB power supply craped-out on my motherboard and adding a card seemed a much simpler solution than replacing the motherboard.Based upon the other two reviews, I figured it was worth a try, especially considering the low price.
5-0 out of 5 stars Couldn't be easier
I bought this because my Dell Dimension 8100 did not have any USB 2.0 ports, and my new iPod required it.It took me longer to get the top off the computer then it did to install the card.Ten minutes later, I had my iPod plugged in and was downloading to it WAY quicker than before with the USB 1.0.Great product. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Stable performance, a little bit expensive
This card works great with my linksys router. Even under heavy network triffic, it still works perfectly, no drop. The only problem is the price, which is more expensive than other wireless PCI cards.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must Have
I bought This item a week ago and it came today, so far it has been great, it is about 40 meters away from my router (wrt54g), it is running in a old computer with windows XP Pro that meets the requirements and the signal strenghts is excellent when i turn my computer sideways and point the antenna to the router otherwise it stays at 3 or 4 bars; I had a little truble installing these card, I couldn't get the damn thing connected to the pci slot, but i think it is my computers fault, it was built from scratch and my uncle sometimes makes mistakes when choosing the right motherboard that will fit inside a small cpu box; I had to unistall my fax moden in order tu make room for this, we don't need it anyways. I think that's all I can say about this card so far,

1-0 out of 5 stars Piece of crap

4-0 out of 5 stars No problems; Can;t complain
This review is a little old. I had already purchased the netgear router and one wireless adapter in January'06. But i needed a second one as I now have three computers in the house feeding off the same DSL internet connection.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not so good
The range of reception on this USB 108 wireless adapter is not strong or reliable. I have always had great reception and speed using my Netgear 108 network card, but using the same computer and just changing to the USB adapter I have found that the reception and speed is not even an tenth as good as my original card. I will be returning the item. Unfortunately my PC's standard internal wireless card is better and faster than the Netgear USB.-- Sorry.

1-0 out of 5 stars Completely unreliable
I bought this since it's economical, compact, didn't need cabling (although it has an extension if you need it), advertised a whopping 108 mbps. Well so much for that:

5-0 out of 5 stars Unlike other USB Hubs
This is very well designed. It give you 4 USB Port but two on opposite sides. This is very clever becase you have plug in devices from both sides. You webcam or cell on your left and your mouse and number pad on your right. The cord that plug in from the Hub to the Computer is very sterdy yet flexible so you can not only adjust the Hub in all kind of angles, it would stay at that angle and not twist all around you wires. It also works great if you jsut want to charge you USB devices on the go. It come with a plug in AC adapter so you don't need to bring your computer along with you to charge youd devices.

5-0 out of 5 stars Product desciption could be more specific
I,ve seen complaints about the ac adapter you "must" plug in. Hey guys, try it without an outside energy source, I just hope I,m not gonna fry something but it seems to work fine just plugged into a powered USB port. I have a VERY high end system though with wattage to sprare, but no more PCI slots, Damn 7900 512 gtx graphics cards, why do 2 of em have to take up so much room. Oh well, trade offs are a bi---, but a reality and 7 extra USB slots are awfully nice.

3-0 out of 5 stars It works okay
It works, although I'm not getting faster preformance from the attachedperipherals. It was easy to install. My Belkin wireless USB notebook adapter doesn't automatically connect to the internet now.It did before when it was plugged into a USB 1.0 hub.The internet connection speed is about the same.
5-0 out of 5 stars i am buying
I am going to get this and have seen some bad reveiws and i want to stranten something out, " IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK UNLESS YOURE SYSTEM IS COMPATIBLY, so check your system compatabilty since most likely if your buying it your system is melliniem or below and it won't work with the minimum either i have a 95 and i used some new hardware on it and my 95 met the minimum combatibility but didn't, so make sure youre above the combatability."

Hi , I am ranjeet here , writing a review for this IOGear USB 2.0 PCMCIA port. I have heard a very bad review abt this product on amazon , but let me tell all those review are totally wrong abt this product, i bought this product with a fear in my mind whether it will work or not on my Toshiba laptop, but hey it worked instanesously without any problem as soon as i plugged it in and i was very happy to see my external dvd burner worked exactly as i tought . I bought this because my laptop was having 1.1 usb port and i needed usb 2.0 port badly and i thought i will try this product as its below $50 price , this product is not only compatible with lots of things, its works with my canon digicam , my web cam , my usb mouse . its perfect and excellent without any doubt . great product and i am statisfied too . ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Not as advertised
The Wiflyer doesn't work with pocket PC as they desribed in the advertise, doesn't work with Net Zero, Juno or any of those Free internet access providers. The signal is so weak that it makes the surfing the net so slow. After the Wiflyer connected to the internet it could take forever to be able to go to the websites. I really regreted that I bought one.

4-0 out of 5 stars The WiFlyer is good
The WiFlyer works very well, I am able to wirelessly use my dialup connection to the internet from anywhere in the house. I think its priced a little high but it's the only one of its kind that I have found. ... Read more
