BAD MIC, UNCOMFORTABLE: I'M RETURNING MINE
After much searching, I thought this headset might be the one. While the mute, volume and mic controls are nice, none of that matters when people can't hear me talk. Forget about trying to use it outside. In addition to having to turn up the volume quite high for the earpiece, the ear-hook piece/attachmet hurts my ear after lengthy use, definitely within an hour. Sigh, back to searching for a better headset...

Broke in just over a month
The sound quality of the headset was fine for both listening and speaking.The earpiece pivots on the "ear hook", which is made of very cheap plastic.The hook broke after just over a month of light to moderate use.Beware.

Sound good / Design bad
This headset has really good sound on the mic and also on the headset. But it's very uncomfortable to use. It's always slipping because the headset is not adjustable. I returned mine for a .90 Plantronics model.

I got this headset for Chrsitmas, and I have not been dissapointed. A good headset for multimedia
I spend several hours a day working on multimedia, listening audio, recording voice, and also chatting.Although this product is cheap, it has resulted very appropriate for my job.The strap is rigid and big, so naturally it slides down behind your neck, but this position resulted very comfortable for me, and I can use it during several hours without any inconvenience.Stereo sound and microphone quality are excelent.Inline controls and clip are very handy.I hate having plastic or metal supports above my head, and this was the solution. ... Surprisingly good quality
I was quite surprised when I tested this out after going by the mostly positive reviews I found here.
The only one I don't get complaints about
I've gone through two of these in the last three years and so far it's the best one I've used.The earpiece is very comfortable and the pipe connecting to the mic is flexible.The great part is anyone I talk to can hear me loud and clear regardless if I'm on a cordless phone or a cell.The same goes for whomever is calling.In fact, sometimes if I hold the headset away from me I can hear what the person is saying.This is also good to use if you need to whisper. The mic can reach right in front of the mouth.Over the years I've tried using the smaller handsfree devices that just slip on the ear, but the sound is often not as good as this one.I've been told that sound between this set and the others is as different as night and day.I'm always heard better on this.The cord is usually what gives out for me because I handle it almost nightly.Though I do wish smaller sets are made that work this well, I'd get this one again if I couldn't find anything else.

Mic quality significantly degraded after a year
I have to admit- I've never had particularly good success with plantronics' products.I'd previously had two other different plantronics headsets. After a year or so, the sound quality in the mic (the way others hear me) seems to degrade to the point of being unusable for anything but short, casual conversations.You'd think I'd have learned by now!

This is a good headset
This is an excellent and comfortable headset at a very good price. I have had mine for a very long time and has never failed me. The sound quality surprised me for such a cheap headset. It has a noice-cancelling mic too. If you are looking for headset to fit a 2.5mm jack, this is the one. Cord length is very good too. The headband is very sturdy and it is highly unlikely that it will break unless you sit on it!

Broken within a month
This headset was uncomfortable to use.The earpiece did not sit flush against my ear.Its all plastic body broke within a month of intermittent use.Although there were no electronic problems (i.e., I could hear people and they could hear me clearly), I would not recommend this headset.

Why would you buy this? Much better alternatives.
I would avoid this 'mission control' headsets for a number of reasons, especially since there are a number of alternatives. First, you will soon be annoyed by the microphone 'ball' which dangles unnecessarily in front ofyour mounth. At this stage in audio technology, the microphone can be nearthe ear piece and still pick up and filter out appropriate sound. Second,there is no reason to have these in glow colors. If there is any thing thatyou don't want to 'show off' it is a headset. If you want to spend just alittle money, check out the AT&T 90800 headset. It works very well andis dirt cheap. If you want more comfort and really plan to use this device,go with the Plantronics M175 -- I think it is worth the price differenceand have used multiple units over the past 3 years. ... Read more
