Editorial Review is Incorrect
The editorial review incorrectly states that "unlike other headsets, a typical multiline phone will not default to the H51-M12's headset when you press a line button. With this unit, you have to remove the handset from the cradle in order to use the headset. Pressing a line button activates the speakerphone." Actually, the ability to leave the handset on the hook is entirely dependent on the telephone itself and has absolutely nothing to do with the headset.A headset ready telephone will default to the M12 and a non-headset ready telephone will not (the phone may need to be programmed).Check your telephone manual to see if it is headset ready (most manuals are poorly organized and there may not be a section specifically for headsets - check either the speakerphone, handsfree, or "how to answer a call" section of the manual).There are occasional exceptions to this rule - a few phone systems, less than one percent, are built with a certain type of headset in mind (your manual will say if this is true) - but those phones are few and far between.

good product
I have been using it for the past 4 month almost every day, and it is really worth every cent. If you are the type of person who use the phone in front of the pc then this is what you exactly need. the good thing that you can use it with any phone regardless of the brand. it turned my cheap phone into a great phone.

It was great for a year
I am the kind of person who when I spend big bucks for something, I expect it to last. This was not the case for this headset. I had this headset for just under a year. I use it daily. After five months, the mouth peice covering had fallen off. This wasn't too bad, because it was mostly cosmetic. Just last week, I had to stop using the set alltogether, because wiring in the headset had become so bad that the people on the other line were not able to hear me anymore. It would work, and then if I would move my head....it would not work anymore. I paid almost 60 dollars for this about a year ago. I LOVED it at first....but after this time.......I am very disappointed. Iwent to Walmart and bought a Sanyo with all the same features for 14.99. If the average life span is 1 year for this....I can buy one every year for four years for the cost of the Plantronics......Very disappointed.

"Save My Neck"
I spend a lot of time on the phone for business and without a headset my neck goes into painful spasms.Plantronics has the best product available and "saves my neck"!

Worth it!
I needed a Headset for my new job. I chose the Plantronics H141N for the price. It's been more than worth it! No more neck aches. It has great sound quality and is comfortable. The GN Netcom 9120 - the greatest wireless headset yet.
My wife and I have tried many headsets over many years, and this is the best yet!Great sound, and you forget that you're wearing it.The reception is equal to a wired headset.

I have been using headsets for many years and was hesitant to go wireless because of two major factors. 1) I wanted my callers to have the same quality audio. 2) Not be limited by battery time. This headset does both wondefully!
Great idea...but bettery won't make it through work day.
Our small company purchased this for one member of our phone sales team.At first it was excellent, but the time the battery's charge lasted began to get shorter and shorter as the weeks went on.Finally, 3.5 weeks after receiving, the battery won't hold a charge, and renders this headset worthless.We are returning to Amazon.

Utilitarian
This is a terrific item at a great price, much more reasonable than the expensive Cingular store contraptions, and perfect for kids (and grownups) who are always losing things. Lose this, and you can get another one, and still have paid less for both than for just one from the mobile store.

you get what you pay for sometimes
It worked but don't expect magic or anything.The size of the mike would have been fine for a 2nd grader.I found myself having to shout to be heard.It was ok, but i found a better one later for the same price

Not very comfortable
I purchased this with high expectations based on the reviews below, however, I'd have to say I'm disappointed with the product.While the wrap-around band kept the headset in one position (much better than an ear bud), I had to take it off after 15 minutes because it was hurting the outside of my ear.

I purchased this headset for use with ham radio transceivers via an adapter box with a PTT button and mic gain adjustment that I homebrewed.This item works great and is much more rugged than similarly priced phone headsets.Although the mic boom is a tad shorter than I would have liked, it is long enough to work well.It is very similar to headsets sold for 2-way radio communications that cost twice as much.I highly recommend it. ... It's a bad one
1. The volume is low

Brought it brand new. The ear piece really do not fit the ear canal well. The phone seems to work well at the beginning of the call and once you talk too long, it will drop the call for no reason at all. I had it for two weeks before I lost it. I do not regret losing it. I would not recommend this item.
