Poor to Ok sound quality, connector doesn't stay in
I bought this headset for my Nokia 6102i.It was cheap($10) so I decided to give it a try.I had a hard time fitting the connector into the phone, but I did manage to get it in.The first time I tried it, I couldn't hear anything from the headset.The second time, I made sure to press the headset connector into the phone fairly hard, and then it started working.I found that just touching the connector will disconnect it from the phone

Unreliable - voice unit keeps breaking
My company supplies these cordless headsets to its employees so I have alot of experience using headsets.This is the latest upgrade and it is the worst unit I have ever used.It works great for about 3 or 4 months on average.After that, the voice unit stops working.I can hear others speaking to me but no one can hear me.I have gone through 4 of these units in 13 months and the longest lived unit lasted < 5 months.One broke after < 2 months.Other colleagues have complained about the same thing happening with their units.After the experiences I have had with this piece of junk, I would never buy anything from Plantronics with my own money.Avoid this rubbish.

Wireless head set
Would have been helpful to know that this doesnt work without the handset lifter. You push a button at your ear to access the phone line but unless the handset is off the hook, you dont get access. So your choices are to take it off the hook each time (which makes it not so wireless) or get the handset lifter as well that lifts the handset for you. Other than that i am very happy with the product. It has good reception, I can hear well and it has a nice range so you dont have to be on top of your phone for the handset lifter to lift the handset.

Abysmal
Utterly abysmal. Motorola should be ashamed for releasing this junk. I cannot understand where the positive reviews are coming from on Amazon. Paid reviews? I've seen suggestions that there are counterfeit versions of this, but we bought ours from Amazon so I doubt that's the case. Other review sites seem to echo our terrible experience with this very cool looking, but very useless, headset. I really wanted it to be usable, but it has an electrical hum and no one can hear me or me them, which sort of defeats the entire purpose.
Frustrating sound quality
this earpiece is the cutest thing you've ever seen.it really is.but all it does is sits in my drawer because its the most frustrating thing to use.the sound quality is very staticky, even if i'm holding the phone right in front of my face.and that's right after i have fully charged it.its a cute, overpriced, piece of crap.

Good headset for cellphones too
After trying several Bluetooth wireless headsets for my cellphone that made my voice sound soft and distant to callers, I decided to try a wired one instead. This Panasonic totally rocks with my cellphone!
Good headset
I have tried many different headsets from Plantronics and others. The headband always ends up breaking or the headset stops working well. My plantronics just broke since people said they could barely hear me, but my Panasonic is still working. I don't put the headset through the ringer so I have no idea what the problem is. Nobody has any problem hearing me with the headset on. It is comfortable and folds up. Overall a good buy.

I have family all over the country and find that I am on the phone frequently.These headsets keep my hands free so that I can take care of household chores while talking.Every one has been able to hear me clearly with these and I am able to hear them.I find them to be comfortable.The only down side is that occasionly the wire from the headset to the phone gets caught on drawer pulls or door knobs, etc., but I think that would happen with any wire headset. ... This is a great product allowing me to move through the medical office and still be at the phone.It works so well that other offices come to check it out and purchase their own systems.

Some of the best money I ever spent!
If you are on the phone a lot, you need this headset system.Quality is fantastic, has great range (I can go any place in my house (including my back and front yards) while on a call and see no drop in quality.I have been on calls for up to 7 hours and the battery never died.Adapters available for various types of use, like ear piece, headset or then one I like best, hangs over both ears and wraps around back of neck, which prevents headset hair;-).

Squeaky and dropouts
I normally don't pay much attention to negative reviews, but I wish I had on this one. On my laptop folks I speak to complain of dropouts, and I hear an awful squeeling sound when speaking at times. I can't figure out what is causing it (angle / tension etc) and so am returning this.

decent value for the price
I, like another reviewer, purchased this to use with Skype, though I am not chatting with friends but using it for some training sessions.I would have rated it higher but the person on the other end said it would frequently cut out so they couldn't really understand what I was saying.I had no problems on my end hearing what was being said, so perhaps it was just my connection.It was fairly comfortable without being too tight on my head and would be comfy for glasses wearers like myself.

Good value for money
I got this so I could use Skype and save money on international calls.Furthermore, I specifically wanted to find a headset that, just like a regular phone receiver, leaves one ear uncovered so I can hear when the real phone is ringing or someone's at the door, etc.

Product Sucks
Even though it all install correctly - it does not work. No sound will go through the device.THis is really bad - i bought it to eliminate these probs as it was SKYPE certified. NOT!

Disappointing at best
So I purchased this headset for two reasons. 1) It was Skype Certified 2)It was made my MotorolaLet me also tell you that I professionally repair computers and operating system issues.The first headset I received didn't work out of the box.After tinkering around with the software and driver I was able to get the headset to work once with a humming sound during output heard by others on Skype.I called Motorola, only after attempting to alleviate every other possible reason for the headset not working.I reinstalled drivers, worked on windows and Skype settings, confirmed partnering with bluetooth, attempted to download updated drivers, used multiple computers, reinstalled Skype.After talking with Motorola they told me I should go back to the store and get another one.I did that and the second headset worked.The headset still had the humming sound during output for the receiver.I have tried using the headset with multiple programs including: Skype, sound recorder, and Teamspeak.All programs have the same humming sound.I contacted Skype which does not have a support group for their products via phone.I also contacted Motorola again.The most difficult thing in dealing with Motorola is that they had no idea the H500 (the headset) and the PC850 (bluetooth adapter) which packaged together and both Motorola brands.They first told me there could be an incompatibility issue between the bluetooth and the headset.After I said that Motorola made both and packaged them together they said oh never mind.They also attempted to tell me that the humming wasn't really there.After calling while using the headset their tune was a little different.I attempted to speak with the H500 product development team over errors in manufacturing of their product but was unsuccessful.I would highly recommend going with another brand while using Skype.After reading reviews from multiple websites I'm convinced their product is flawed internally.

Pretty good product
Bought this product thru Amazon and received it yesterday. The installation of the drivers for the laptop is a bit long with Windows poping up messages saying "could not load usb device properly", but however the software installs everything and without a problem. The coupling of the headset to the computer is a breeze and then comes the moment of truth. The bluetooth headset works perfectly with Skype and Yahoo Messenger. It basically is a replacement for you computer speakers and mic. It gives you the freedom to walk around and do other stuff while being in the vicinty of your computer (bluetooth limited by a 30 feet distance). Good for listening, not for talking.
I bought this thinking it will really save my time. But, it proved not of much use to me because the microphone seems to be not that good. The person on the other side can't hear me properly, it's feeble & I have to switch back to hand-full mode instead of hands-free.

Surprisingly good quality
I was quite surprised when I tested this out after going by the mostly positive reviews I found here.
The only one I don't get complaints about
I've gone through two of these in the last three years and so far it's the best one I've used.The earpiece is very comfortable and the pipe connecting to the mic is flexible.The great part is anyone I talk to can hear me loud and clear regardless if I'm on a cordless phone or a cell.The same goes for whomever is calling.In fact, sometimes if I hold the headset away from me I can hear what the person is saying.This is also good to use if you need to whisper. The mic can reach right in front of the mouth.Over the years I've tried using the smaller handsfree devices that just slip on the ear, but the sound is often not as good as this one.I've been told that sound between this set and the others is as different as night and day.I'm always heard better on this.The cord is usually what gives out for me because I handle it almost nightly.Though I do wish smaller sets are made that work this well, I'd get this one again if I couldn't find anything else.

The best headset I've used
I have waited to fully test out this item to do my review.I purchased this over a month ago and I am very pleased with it's performance.The sound is clear incoming and outgoing.I've not had one single customer say that they could not hear me.Minor background noise is not heard by the caller.I love having the choice of using the headband or on the ear style, they are both very comfortable.I also like having the choice of a foam cover or the coushioned ear-piece.This headset has performed perfectly and I would highly recommend it!!!!!!

Works great
I was using a headset that plugged into my cordless phone. People kept asking me "What?" when I was talking to them so I wanted to find a product like the headsets I used at work. Could have been a 5 star if...
This is a great usb headset.I've tried them all out and this is by far the most comfortable and best sound.And there's currently a [...] on it to boot.I use it as a phone for Skype calling, not for music, so I only wanted one earpad. What would have made it a 5 star review is if they had mentioned in the literature or on the website that it's essential to download and install the firmware update. Once I did that it worked without flaw on both my Mac and PC.They also have a bluetooth version which I tried, but returned because It entailed too much fiddling on each call.But looking back, I'll bet that might have been fixed with the firmware update as well. ...
