2-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality. Really poor quality. Overal ok for the price
I have seen the reviews on Amazon and it is the first time I ignore them. I said to myself - how bad can it be considering the fact that is a Logitech product. The first time I have touch the headset, I try to adjust it and I broke one side, the cable from the left speaker went out, the volume control doesn't work at the high setings, the ergonomics are realy bad,the cable is cheap. It is painful to keep them on your head. The good part it is that it looks ok, it sounds ok, the microphone is ok and after some time you no longer feel the pain. For the price they are ok as functionality, but realy realy bad in ergonomics and quality.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this.
I bought this about 1 week ago and coulden't wait to rip it out from the box. I wanted to use this headset for games like World Of Warcraft and Skype, and when I plugged it into my Power Mac G4 Running 10.3.9, it appeared on the system preferences and started working very well. The sound quality was amazing, I thought it was very comfortable, and the headphones were awesome. I thought this product was great, so far.

2-0 out of 5 stars USB Ports stop working
Yep I agree with many other reviewers about how uncomfortable the headset is. It doesn't take long and my ears really start to ache from wearing them.
5-0 out of 5 stars It's all about the microphone
I've tried four different headsets with my VoIP (Skype) service and I've learned that the earphones of most headsets have "good enough" sound quality. The problem really is the microphone. Most noise-canceling microphones turn a "Hello" into a muffled "ello". The Logitech USB 350 had the cleanest, clearest sounding microphone of the headsets that I've tried (2 Logitech/1 Plantronics/1 US Robotics). Also the USB connection gives you a more consistent quality from computer to computer. So my advice, compare microphones and don't worry so much about the earphones. I'd recommend the Logitech USB 350.

4-0 out of 5 stars The best headset for use with Skype
After much research on the web and in retail stores, I decided to buy the Logitech 350 headset. So far so good. It has lived upto my expectations. The sound quality on Skype was so amazing, it feels like you are talking with another person in the room. I have used this headset to listen to music and watch videos on my PC with amazing results. The mic on/off feature is very useful, so is the volume switch. A lot other reviewer seem to have problems with the switch, but mine works perfectly.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good quality for voip, but a bit bulky
Good headset. Folds into a reasonable size, and adjusts well to fit head. Sound quality in the headphones is good and the microphone has good reception. I use this with a laptop for on-line, voip conference calls. It works very well and no one on the calls has mentioned any issues with the quality of the sound.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not for Laptop Users
I got Avaya RoadWarrior up and running on my computer to use when I work remotely. My co-worker told me to get a GN Netcom headset but I figured I'd save some money and get this one. Big mistake.

I actually bought this to use with my Intel Mac Mini because it was the cheapest usb mic I could find. Wasn't 100% sure it would work but it does, and for the price I'd say it performs excellent!

5-0 out of 5 stars Durable
This mic is very durable and is wired good, haven't had any problems and is much better than the headset.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not a GREAT Mic
This mic was great, for the short time it worked. I only had it for about 2 weeks or so before it quit working. I was glad I had only paid about $4 for it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good quality for low price!
I bought this Mic for around $6 including shipping... I have to say after reading other reviews I was kind of hesitant on the quality but the price was right. Testing it out I was PLEASANTLY surprised to hear a returned sound of relatively good quality with little/no background noise (and I have an A/C unit cranked up to high running) and good pickup of tone and quality of voice. Definately worth my time and money!

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad quality pick-up
I bought this mic for six dollars (excl shipping) and found it to be useless. There is too much interference and noise. It is not even fit for voice chat. May be I got a bad piece, but I will not bother to get it replaced.

4-0 out of 5 stars It works
I haven't used this mic to make phone calls yet, but it definitely works. My system picks up the audio very well, thank you, and plays it louder, the higher I amplify my sound. All I need now is a PC calling program, and I'll be phoning my friends over the internet. With the price of land lines and mobile phones, the sooner I figure this out, the better. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Headphones!
After using them for a few weeks, I just wanted to say that they are a good quality set of headphones.Even though our computer sits next to the tv, when we play games we don't get distracted with the television shows.Great product!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Sound but awful comfort
[Strengths] 1. The Best Bass I have ever heard on any headphone, 2. Overall very good sound quality, 3. Decent styling for the price 5-0 out of 5 stars Excelent for the price!
I had mixed expectations about the quality of this headset when I ordered it, but am glad to say that any negative views I might have had have been washed away as soon as I began to use the headset. Music sounds crisp and clear, and computer gaming sound effects and ambient noise are much easier to make out than through my normal PC speakers. I've yet to experience any negative effects in the various computer games I've tested the headset on. The volume control slider on the cord also works effectively in altering volume in small increments - no more choices between blaringly loud and completely muted.

4-0 out of 5 stars Thin sounding cheapo, works fine.
I bought this mic for $9.95 at Office Depot here in Nashville. I'd initially went in looking for Logitech's USB mic but they didn't have it Since this was their only desktop mic I bought it. It works fine right out of the box. Good for dictation, but thin sounding for recording vocals, guitars, etc. The reason I give it high marks is because it is clean sounding for the price, but the sound is so thin that I'd either have to beef up the sound with EQ and/compressors and move on to a better sounding, more expensive, mic. I am confused, though, as to why Cyber Acoustics' package mentions DC power 1.5v to 10v. This mic is not battery operated, so is the mic emitting 1.5v to 10v of DC power, or is it somehow receiving DC voltage from the 1/8" jack itself. In either case, the mic will do...for now.

5-0 out of 5 stars I had good results, at least
I guess I've been luckier than the other reviewers because I've had great luck with this microphone. I have it on my desk and I sit in my chair, sometimes reclining back, mouth a good 2 feet from the microphone. Using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8 I get near-perfect accuracy with it - as good or better than any headset-mounted one I've ever used.
2-0 out of 5 stars A dismal failure
Although this microphone does work, I have to be right next to it. (~6 inches away, tops) Low sensitivity. Buy another one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed
I've had these headphones for several months now, and they've been working fine for me.The audio is clear and effective, they improve game immersion and they are great for watching DVDs on my computer.I enjoy the benefits of the detachable mic and I've had none of the audio or comfort problems of the other reviewers.
4-0 out of 5 stars excellent
theese are made by turtle beach/voyettra, not a no name trash company the 5.1 surround is excellentand greatly enhanches games such as battlefield2 and cod2 ect, you need to have a 5.1 or higher sound card for theese to work properly. the detachable mic is very good also all in all the best gaming headset Ive ever owned! I gave it a 4 star cause like another reviewer I find theese do grow uncomfortable after long durations but it is kinda a all of a sudden thing! So if you want a great 5.1 headset pick theese up just remember the soundcard they are connected to will dramatically impact how well theese work for you! I recommend a creative soundblaster xfi series card! you will be happy!

1-0 out of 5 stars recommend against it
You get what you pay for. I wanted to get the cheapest one to just experiment with multi-channel audio, and I guess I got what I asked for. In my opinion these headsets are all but junk, as they are uncomfortable to wear (well, may be I am spoiled by a stereo Sennheiser), the front speaker quality is not very good, the other speakers are even worse, and the multi-pin connector in the middle is so flimsy that a pin already completely and irreparably broke off, rendering the whole unit useless. Too bad, it had potential. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars High quality earphone, microphone is anemic
Sounds come through great on this headset, but on both of two phones I tried the microphone's output volume was very weak (people would ALWAYS ask you to speak up, even with the microphone right in front of your lips).Perhaps I got a bad unit, but this ones going back to the store.I wish it had worked out!

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Product from Sony
This headset that I purchased broke within a week, and before it completely stopped working, people on the other line were complaining of an echo in the headset. The tube mic is not that great either. It is very flexible like they say, but it doesnt look right when people wear it. However, on a positive note the earpiece is very comfortable and has a clear sound.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good for games.
I bought this set to use the new voice communication in Counter-strike and other games alike. It works great, for games and just talking over the internet like on AIM. For the Price Amazon.com is selling it at, its a steal. I strongly suggest this set to anyone not sure of what gaming mic they want. Or if you just want to talk to people over the internet or whatever you use a mic for. I have found no flaws.

Editorial Review

NCAT2 (Noise Cancelling and Amplification Technology version 2) has been designed to provide accurate audio input for PC based Speech Recognition and Communication applications. By designing the microphone specifically for the speech band of the audio spectrum, and engineering the rejection of background noise, Labtec NCAT2 enabled microphones provide the optimal signal for Speech Recognition, Internet Communication, and Multimedia Audio Applications. For Speech Recognition, the most demanding audio application, a clear, strong, noise-free signal is required for the software to function effectively. Background noise can interfere with the voice signal, causing errors in the translation from speech to text. NCAT2 significantly reduces the background noise interference, providing a clearer signal to the PC. The result is fewer errors and faster processing time. For all other applications, NCAT2 provides improved intelligibility and speed for applications that compress voice files for transmission over the Internet. NCAT2 microphones are designed to be compatible with virtually all sound cards. In addition, the Labtec PC Voice Access products have been designed with your comfort in mind - each product is ergonomically designed and is lightweight, padded, and adjustable. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good headset-- but there's an earpad problem
This is a comfortable headset with above average sound. The catch is that Labtec/Logitech no longer has replacement earpads available. Once the pad wears out, all you can do is hope that you're going to be able to fit a generic ear pad over its somewhat unusual shape. Good luck.
