Product was fine the shipper was not which is Tiger Direct.com
2 adapters were missing from this shipment....policy of Tiger Direct is that I had to ship back the item instead of having the small parts shipped to me. Repacked it, got a UPS label, went to a UPS store...They, hopefully, will credit my Amazon account and then I can order again. The first customer service agent at Tiger Direct hung up on me so I had to call back and received the instructions necessary to follow thru with their policy and need for the item. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got a voice mail and no return call has been made to me in response to my complaints and/or questions.
great for airplanes
I purchased these as my new job requires me to fly a couple of times a month.
Excellent value...
My Bose noise cancelling headphones recently died on me. They were the original model, but with a daughter at college I really didn't fancy shelling out $250+ for a new pair.

USB Ports stop working
Yep I agree with many other reviewers about how uncomfortable the headset is. It doesn't take long and my ears really start to ache from wearing them.
It's all about the microphone
I've tried four different headsets with my VoIP (Skype) service and I've learned that the earphones of most headsets have "good enough" sound quality. The problem really is the microphone. Most noise-canceling microphones turn a "Hello" into a muffled "ello". The Logitech USB 350 had the cleanest, clearest sounding microphone of the headsets that I've tried (2 Logitech/1 Plantronics/1 US Robotics). Also the USB connection gives you a more consistent quality from computer to computer. So my advice, compare microphones and don't worry so much about the earphones. I'd recommend the Logitech USB 350.
The best headset for use with Skype
After much research on the web and in retail stores, I decided to buy the Logitech 350 headset. So far so good. It has lived upto my expectations. The sound quality on Skype was so amazing, it feels like you are talking with another person in the room. I have used this headset to listen to music and watch videos on my PC with amazing results. The mic on/off feature is very useful, so is the volume switch. A lot other reviewer seem to have problems with the switch, but mine works perfectly.

Good quality for voip, but a bit bulky
Good headset. Folds into a reasonable size, and adjusts well to fit head. Sound quality in the headphones is good and the microphone has good reception. I use this with a laptop for on-line, voip conference calls. It works very well and no one on the calls has mentioned any issues with the quality of the sound.
Not for Laptop Users
I got Avaya RoadWarrior up and running on my computer to use when I work remotely. My co-worker told me to get a GN Netcom headset but I figured I'd save some money and get this one. Big mistake.
Inadequate for Voice Recognition
It failed Dragon Naturally Speaking's sound tests, tests easily passed by the cheapo mike included with the program. And just try to return it.Antonline stonewalls, Plantronics doesn't respond at all.

Editorial Review The Sennheiser PX 200 Headphones keep outside sounds away from your ears and deliver high-quality music without disturbing those around you. Sennheiser's duoful diaphragms with spiral embossing provide high-resolution sound, while the twin damping technology creates crisp, fast bass response, helped by 80ppi polyurethane and special perforated elements. The added element of a bass tube also helps generate powerful, punchy bass. The ear cups can be turned 90 degrees and closed up, then put into a rugged carrying case that can fit into a shirt pocket. The headband padding helps provide the right fit for your head.

The very best of most worlds
I wanted headphones to block out outside sound because I run and take public transit a lot and I want to be able to hear my music while I do these things. I also didn't want to spend very much or buy those huge 'phones that make you look like you came from space. Given my priorities I am sure that I got the best product I could. It's not perfect, but it is really good. Here's how I'd break down my review:
Sounds Great with All Sound Sources, including Music
I have read many reviews from a broad cross section of people regarding the Sennheiser and Koss Models of headphones.I used to be in the camp of "Koss is Boss" but Sennheiser products such as the PX-100 and PX-200 as well as the research I have done on other Senns I hope to purchase soon have led me to believe that Sennheiser is just as Boss as Koss.In regards to the PX-200's, I have to say that there was one review in particular that was so inaccurate that I had to write my own review.Others have commented about a very severe reviewer who said that the PX-200's are great as long as you don't listen to music with them.I must say that this is absolute nonsense and should not be taken seriously by anyone.I first bought the 100's and was blown away by them and then the 200's arrived.(I had also received a pair of the Koss KTXPRO1's before the 200's arrived and they are a wonderful pair of headphones--highly recommended as well.)I tested out the PX-200's and was amazed at how well they played everything I could throw at them, including television, DVDS, video games and yes, Music.I found myself almost in tears as I played Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings.I had never heard my favourite Adagio with such clarity as I did with the PX-200's as well as the 100's and the Koss KTXPRO1's.As the weeks have worn on, I have found that the 100's have remained unused while I use the 200's a lot.I recently acquired a pair of Koss PortaPro headphones and I think these might actually be a tad better (but less comfortable) but for overall clarity, comfort and quality, you can't beat the PX-200's.They do block out some ambient sounds (I'm pleased and surprised because of their size) but they aren't designed to be noise cancellers as compared to some of Sennheiser and Koss' other larger or specific products.Don't believe the reviews that say the PX-200's have poor musical quality or are uncomfortable.I have a very large head and these phones are great and don't bother me in the least; I've fallen asleep with them on.[...] has great information on all their different products and would be helpful to use for research.I think I'll conclude by saying that like all new things, you need to give these headphones just a little time to get used to and you surely will not regret it!
Phone for public and outdoor settings
Dakonium's review I feel is a little unfair.

This headset is built pretty well, and is pretty comfortable to wear for long periods. The fit is tighter than most other headphones, but I found that this did not lead to any discomfort even after a few hours.

Might want to try before you buy (although with headphones, that's easier said than done)
First, the good: Sound quality. I'm no expert regarding headphones, but I had no issues with the sound on these.
OK sound for tiny heads.
The sound is OK for the price, but you better not wear a hat size bigger than 7 or you'll have to wear these things behind your head which really doesn't work because of the shape of the earphones. They are also prey to the Sennheiser plug problem I have encountered. After a year or so of use, the little individual plugs and sockets in each phone start to wear out. It costs you big bucks to have Sennheiser replace them.
Great phones for the price
I don't know beans about earphone dynamics, range, acoustics, or anything else. All I know is that these phones blew me away when I put them on. I have had dozens of others before, none expensive to be honest, but nowhere near the quality of the HD212. One other important point, I have dropped them, stepped on the cord so hard it rattled my head and yet they keep on trucking. Very well built. If you just want a great set of phones for your everyday tunes - this is it!!!!!

Great Headphones!
After using them for a few weeks, I just wanted to say that they are a good quality set of headphones.Even though our computer sits next to the tv, when we play games we don't get distracted with the television shows.Great product!
Great Sound but awful comfort
[Strengths] 1. The Best Bass I have ever heard on any headphone, 2. Overall very good sound quality, 3. Decent styling for the price
Excelent for the price!
I had mixed expectations about the quality of this headset when I ordered it, but am glad to say that any negative views I might have had have been washed away as soon as I began to use the headset. Music sounds crisp and clear, and computer gaming sound effects and ambient noise are much easier to make out than through my normal PC speakers. I've yet to experience any negative effects in the various computer games I've tested the headset on. The volume control slider on the cord also works effectively in altering volume in small increments - no more choices between blaringly loud and completely muted.

Just what I needed
I've had these headphones for several months now, and they've been working fine for me.The audio is clear and effective, they improve game immersion and they are great for watching DVDs on my computer.I enjoy the benefits of the detachable mic and I've had none of the audio or comfort problems of the other reviewers.
excellent
theese are made by turtle beach/voyettra, not a no name trash company the 5.1 surround is excellentand greatly enhanches games such as battlefield2 and cod2 ect, you need to have a 5.1 or higher sound card for theese to work properly. the detachable mic is very good also all in all the best gaming headset Ive ever owned! I gave it a 4 star cause like another reviewer I find theese do grow uncomfortable after long durations but it is kinda a all of a sudden thing! So if you want a great 5.1 headset pick theese up just remember the soundcard they are connected to will dramatically impact how well theese work for you! I recommend a creative soundblaster xfi series card! you will be happy!
recommend against it
You get what you pay for. I wanted to get the cheapest one to just experiment with multi-channel audio, and I guess I got what I asked for. In my opinion these headsets are all but junk, as they are uncomfortable to wear (well, may be I am spoiled by a stereo Sennheiser), the front speaker quality is not very good, the other speakers are even worse, and the multi-pin connector in the middle is so flimsy that a pin already completely and irreparably broke off, rendering the whole unit useless. Too bad, it had potential.

Good for games.
I bought this set to use the new voice communication in Counter-strike and other games alike. It works great, for games and just talking over the internet like on AIM. For the Price Amazon.com is selling it at, its a steal. I strongly suggest this set to anyone not sure of what gaming mic they want. Or if you just want to talk to people over the internet or whatever you use a mic for. I have found no flaws.
Best headset for the price of 20 bucks!!!!!
This plantronic headset is great for internet telephony and i highly recommend it as i have been using it for over a year. For under 20 dollars its a good deal..
Great for speach recognition and books on tape.
This is a great headset if you are doing any speach recognition.Once youuse it for a little while (or right when you start if your computer isalready trained to your voice), it gets your commands right about 98% ofthe time.Expecially for me, that's a hudge improvement from my internalmic.

Worthless for portable devices
Based on the prior review, I purchased these headphones for use with my ipod. The cord is six feet long. While they may be fine for home use if you want a little distance from your stereo, they are completely impractical for use with a portable device because their excess length makes them too likely to catch.
great headphones for a great price
I got these to use with an ipod, because I don't like using headphones that go inside the ear. I wanted something simple and unobtrusive to use while walking around. They are very comfortable, and the cord only attaches to one side of the headpiece, so you don't have a cord under your chin to get tangled up in. The sound is great. For this price you can't go wrong.

Breaks too easily
Cheap and definitely nasty - they may look nice and robust given the hardened plastic ear-cups, but after a few months light use, I lost sound through one cup then the other. In general - when placed over the ears you do get an echo effect of surrounding noise unless you actually have the noise cancelling unit turned on. The batteries seemed to last pretty long though - actually the battery I had in there lasted longer than the unit itself. Very disappointing, but for the price, this is hardly unexpected.
disappointing - poor design
Shortly after I began using my head phones, I noticed the wiring at the hinges was starting to crack the wire coating.Within 8 months of not-very-heavy use, the left earpiece wouldn't work any more.Guess I can't send them back, since I didn't keep the box!
Probably the best headphones under $100 for airline travel
I bought and tried several higher-priced, name-brand competitors headphones to hear which ones actually cancelled out background noise. If you buy, try and compare you have a better chance of getting what you expect. The others that I tried had NO DISCERNABLE noise cancellation and/or, did not have sufficient volume for use within an airplane cabin. While this one lacks an auto-off switch, which can save batteries, and has no remote volume control, it works great at noise cancellation.I wouldn't argue that it has audiophile fidelity, but if you want to watch a movie onyour computer, this makes it possible.
