Do not buy it.
The screen cracked in a few weeks.You do not need to drop it or scratch it.I left on a desk, with the battery in, for three weeks untouched and it is broken with a big drop of blue ink image coveing 1/3 of the screen.

A good electronic dictionary for its price. It's light-weight and pocket-size, easy to use. The drawback about it is that is doesn't have enough vocabulary I need. So, if you have more budget, consider buying other electronic dictionaries with more vocabulary.

I don't know if the dictionary is any good...
...because it broke before I really had a chance to use it. I bought this dictionary to use at school, but it didn't even last a day in my backpack. The screen cracked beyond repair, and the plastic cover did nothing to protect it. My sister had one of these too, and she had the same problem. If it can't last in any place where it might get banged around a bit, it's not be very durable.

Best pda you can ever own!
Best pda you can have if you want the basics. It only has 1mb of memory if your thinking that 1mb on a handheld makes it worthless...its not! 1mb is overkill for it not only that but it has a built in keyboard,backlight,flip cover,2 games,the batterys last unlike normal battery powerd handhelds,you can drop it from 2 storys onto hard wood and it still works,built in english spell checker,english to spanish tanslater,alarm clock & its only 20 bucks. If your new to pdas or just looking for a cheap little back up this is the one.

This Sharp YO-P20HII organizer is the best of the best. It has everything. If you are my age, 13, than this is the thing for you. It traslates English to spanish, it connects to Outlook, there is a calculator, memos, etc. If you have 20 bucks and you dont know what to buy, buy this. You will definitely not regret it.

After reading the previous reviews on this organizer I purchased one myself. The one thing I would like to comment on that others did'nt is that this model only comes with a serial port hookup, so if you have a newer computer or laptop without a serial port your going to be looking for a cheap serial to usb converter like i did. Good, backlit everyday English and English-Spanish dictionary
I actually got this as an on-the-go backup for my main Sharp PW-E550 English electronic dictionary.I'm not using the Spanish-English part of this gadget so can't comment on that part.There are about 90,000 English entries (and another 60,000 Spanish ones).An entry is a word, a phrase, a person's or geographic name, etc.Let's put this way, it has most of the commonly used (English) words.The vocabulary is "PG-13" if you know what I mean, so don't look for vulgar slangs here.

I think Franklin fixed all my major complaints from their previous models!
The DBE-1490 is a very pleasant surprise for me.I've had the DBE-1440A and DBE-1450, but the DBE-1490 is alot more user friendly.I believe this model is the replacement for DBE-1470.I've never used the DBE-1470 so I can't make a comparison between the two.

Freezes all the time
I bought this HP iPAQ 2795 PDA few weeks ago. Initially, it intermittently started to freeze and also couldn't work with Bluetooth so I called HP's customer service. They asked to upgrade the ROM through some online instructions. That upgrade deleted all the data that I saved on the device and I got a fresh start again. It worked fine again for couple of days and it froze again while I was in the middle of a meeting. This time I tried doing a hard reset and it didn't work. So after the meeting it plugged it again to the cradle with AC power and the PDA rebooted again and started working fine. Again it worked fine for another day and the screen froze again. This time nothing is getting it out of this freezing. I tried hard reset, clean power reset (described in the instructions book), plugged it on the cradle and applied the AC power. It's not coming out of this freezing. It's in this state for the last 4 - 5 days now.

OK for the money, but....
This product is very reasonably priced, however, it certainly does not measure up to the product description. In particular, the Euro converter did not work for me (or it was just to un-user friendly).Also many needed words and phrases were not found.

Next to Useless
A couple of years ago I bought a Franklin Spanish-English dictionary (DBE-1470AM) before going to Mexico and it worked great for deciphering written signs, menus, etc.So I thought I would get something to help me before going to Germany this summer, and this is the Franklin product that appeared to best fit the bill.
Good only for the basics

Give me a break!!
Good grief, guys!This thing is just an organizer, not a PDA.It costs 1/10th as much, and what it is supposed to do, it does great!The words wrap - big deal.Can't read address all on one screen - c'mon.For $30 you can dump all the data in your Outlook database into this light slim organizer, and have it all in your pocket wherever you go.I've been using one of these for a couple of years to carry my Outlook info with me, and it is totally easy to use.And of course if you need to enter any changes, or pop a note to yourself, it syncs back to your PC with a click.And if you drop it and break it, so what!$30 for a new one, instead of $300!!
the touch screen sucks
i bought this organizer cos i saw the previous reviews saying its cheap and good but it really sucks when i first used it. the touchscreen of the organizer isnt sensitive and too hard to key in the alphabets i want. second, the word structure on the screen is arranged in an awful and confusing way and its hard to read what u have just written. i seriously dont recomend this product to anyone.

Very Disappointing
The Sharp OZ-290H is inexpensive, and that is the only good thing about it.The size of the print on the screen is too large to allow me to view an entire name and phone number or an entire address together.The screen is cluttered and not easy to read.The navigation is awkward and clumsy.The cover is a piece of cheap molded plastic.

Not road warrior friendly
The GPS unit is extremely sturdy, the magnetic mount is perfect, and the power adapter plug cover thingy is lost already (I've owned for a month).
GPS 10 - Good Unit With Some Shortcomings
The bluetooth GPS device works well. The fact that it is weather resistant and has a strong magnet for holding it on the roof of your car adds to the versatility. However, the plug which weather proofs the connector socket when it is not being charged is not attached and very easy to lose. Also, the software for use with PDAs and phones does not allow you to plan a trip on your desktop or laptop and then download routes and waypoints to the phone. With that caveat, overall operation is excellent.

Great product, needs an update...
This is a very valuable product for anyone who wants to improve their Scrabble(R) game.For checking definitions (not that serious scrabblers always care about that) it is much quicker than leafing through a dictionary.The Jumble Game is particularly valuable when set at the higher level for seven letter words. However, don't buy this product UNTIL Franklin updates it with the new Scrabble word list! Email Franklin at service@franklin.com and tell them you might be interested IF they would do the update!

Franklin Scrabble Companion
The Franklin Scrabble Companion (FSC) was priced fairly, and delivered promptly.A nice touch was the cloth bag with draw-string into which the FSC is stored when not in use.This product has a tendency to go into failure modes - this is the second one I've purchased and both products have this same tendency.However, there is a simple fix when this happens - depressing with a narrow point a button on the back always seems to work.In our Scrabble Club, the allowable words are changing; unfortunately, the FSC does not include these new words (eg., QI, FE, KI, ZA, ...).Not sure what Franklin's plans are to update the current model....

A Great Companion
I had been browsing the web looking at various word games for my nieces aged 6 and 11. I wanted one that would help in building their vocabulary and at the same time offer some fun. Finally I decided to buy Franklin Scrabble Companion. My nieces vocabulary has improved a lot. The electronic dictionary is great and it also prevents my older niece from taking advantage of the younger one who doesn't know to use a dictionary. My sister and brother-in-law also got hooked to the game and enjoy it immensely. Playing scrabble has become sort of a routine in their house that they look forward to eagerly.

The tungsten c is a VERY VERY VERY BAD PEICE OF HARDWARE 1 day after i got it it died the only reason it died was unstable hardware i donwloaded one thing and it just crashed the secend thing is i droped it 3 feet and it had about 400 dead pixils.Please go with a sony clie PEG-NX60 or a NX73v.

Poorly designed product
When I first saw this product, I thought, what a great idea! My daughter could practice SAT questions in the car or while she's waiting for an appointment. However, this product is basically the contents of the book, "Cracking the New SAT," but is a lot less readable and usable than the book that costs about $20. The screen is too small to be able to read the whole question so you have to scroll back and forth several times before you can answer the question. There is no easy way to navigate through the sections--the book would have been easier. The practice drills seem to be almost nonexistent and I still haven't figured out how to access the word flash cards. There are only three practice tests: the book with the CD-rom has 7. Both the book and the pockt prep give you access to more online tests and support. I felt that the designers of this product missed the boat on how a teenage could use this product--it would have been a better product if it randomly gave you practice questions and if it had on the main menu immediate access to different types of questions and reference materials. I thought that this device would randomly give you a question, you answer it, then it would give you an immediate response and explanation. Instead you have to slog through an entire test before you get any results. It seems illogical that anyone would want to do an entire SAT test on a tiny screen that is so difficult to read. This is a portable device but its designers don't seem to realize what portability means in terms of content and design. ... Read more

Horrible
I bought this because it said it had 800,000 translations and was fairly cheap, but I was left frustrated and disappointed. A few missing words: spinach, lettuce, lethargic, and many more. These may not be essential words, but every pocket or electronic dictionary I've checked since included those words. Also, there aren't 800,000 translations. There are that many verb conjugations (which isn't a lot if you consider that 1 verb can have 50 conjugations, maybe more). Also, some grammatical issues. The word "best" is Spanish is "mejor." However, this indicates that no, mejor does not mean best. "lo más bueno" means best. This is the equivalent of saying "the most good" in English. Same thing with the word worst. The word "peor" is not in the dictionary. Someone might be able to understand that "the most bad" means "worst," but for students or anyone else learning the language or trying to improve their Spanish vocabulary, this dictionary is horrible. Spend the extra bucks on the fantastic DBE-1470. That dictionary has it all. It also gives come context, and... well, this isn't a review for that product. The Franklin TES-120 is a horrible dictionary and I'm sure there are many other issues with it that I didn't spend the time finding.If you'd like to improve your Spanish, do not buy this product as you will be let down by its limited capabilities and vocabulary. ... The first hard to get review it seems
I just got it finally and I previosly bought a Franklins BES 1945(Pure rubbish had to give it away) hard to read annoying and very basic. So I decided to try this one and yes there is a big difference in price landed in Australia, but Yes I like it a lot,the screen is much better than the frankin Bes 1945, but still not the greatest to read, but good enough and has a constant back light and looks much cooler as well.
