POOR FACTORY SUPPORT &DESIGN PROBLEMS
On my first day with this unit the charging system did not work and the blue tooth wirless system failed to work. I tried to get factory support and all I got was failed promises. After five unsucessful calls, I'm in the process of trying to get my money back.I'm very unhappy with Tom Tom and I'd recommend looking elsewhere. This unit has all the great features but for nearly $900 I expect to get good service.
Not worth the price
this is my 3rd gps unit.I've had 2 others - both Garmin.Frankly, for the price of the TomTom I expected better performance.they claim it has a super bright screen that can be seen in bright light.whoever made that determination was not wearning sunglasses in bright light.the only way to see the screen in these conditions is totake your hands off the handlebars and cup them around the screen. Not real safe.I don't wear a helmet, so I rely totally on the screen for directions. You can forget about it in full sunlight - even at maximum brightness.
Great, esp in Europe
I am an owner of a Tom Tom Go 300 and have been nothing short of satisfied with it.I got word that Tom Tom was coming out with a motorcycle specific model and I was foaming at the mouth for it but then I saw the price $1,000+WOW!Well needless to say I skipped on buying one.Well low and behold there is a store here called GB and they had a promotional sale and the units were going for 399.00 Euro.Even with the conversion rate of 1 Euro = $1.20 it was still $200.00 cheaper than anything I saw anywhere online. So I snatched it up.My biggest concern was the ability to transfer it from the bike to a vehicle since my wife who lives in Germany claimed stake on the 300.Also I had to make sure the maps for the 300 were compatible with it, which they are.I did a search online and nowhere was there a vehicle mount.I then went straight to Tom Tom and there it was!So for an additional $45.00 I got the mount which is very similiar to the 300 and volia! The unit itself is very very sturdy.I did run into one problem when starting it for the first time.It completely locked up on me and I had to let its batteries run all the way down.Luckily with this unit it comes with a wall charger and I was able to charge it back up and it started and booted with no problems. The interface is almost identical to the other Go products and the navigation is spot on.Tooling around Europe, esp for us Americans, can be an adventure beyond adventure but the software takes almost all (nothing is 100%) uncertainity from navigating. The mounting system I used worked pretty well. The tape used to circle your handle bars snapped several times and this led to some small frustration but in the end it worked as described.I did crack one of the mounts, it comes with but in the end I didn't need it and it comes with three for different mounts. The wireless system works well with a full face helmet and at 100% volume, which I think you will need regardless, worked well.I do have a European Nolan helmet that is designed to accept an array of different communication systems with bluetooth capability so I will probably upgrade to one of those and utilize it in place of the one which came with it.All in all I highly recommend this unit esp for the price I paid for it.

The good, the bad and the bubbly
I love compasses. I don't go anywhere without one. In my car, in my backpack, on a plane, If I'm going out...a compasses is going with me.
Not Worth the Money
I was dissapointed. Quality was poor overall. The cover was supposed to lock in various positions, but just flopped around helplessly. The indicator would only float freely when the base was held off-level. Lanyard interferes with cover action. I went out and bought a $15 cheapo that works better.

Garmin Geko 201: great for exercise and learning about GPS
I bought a class set of these for a teacher workshop mostly because they were inexpensive. But I stepped up from the basic Geko 101 which does not include PC data exchange. The Geko series is the smallest and lightest GPS receiver I have seen that has a display (i.e. is not a bluetooth GPS). Its smaller than many cell phones. As well as being lightweight, its waterproof and rugged so its great for mtn biking and trail running. I also connect it to my laptop with MS Streets and Trips for car navigation. My favorite thing to do is record a track of my running and bike routes and overlay it on Google Earth. The only thing it lacks which is common in other receivers is the ability to upload maps to the device. But the devices that have this feature (like the eTrex series) are twice the size. One strange thing happened with these... when a group of five of us were walking with them in a lightly forested area, some people would lose sattelites or have different estimated accuracies. I thought they might be the same... but that may be common to all receivers. Using my own Geko 201, I've not had too much difficulty finding sattellites.
cool gadget
compact, accurate and fun. i reccomend to anyone thinking they might want or need a gps unit. i've also dicovered geocaching. this is most likely what i will use it for. it also measures speed and distance that i may use to check customers cars when they question the accuracy of their speedometers.(got a ticket)
What it does, it does very well and it's fun
Here's my recommendation in case you don't want to read the whole review:If you don't want or need extra functions, this is a capable basic GPS unit. And it is small enough there is no excuse to not bring it.Just remember to store you car's location *before* you start your hike...

Sensitive to mounting
I bought my wife a Brunton Rally for her Jeep Wrangler.Originally, I mounted it in the center of the dashboard and she mentioned that it indicated NW intermittently - even times she knew she was driving straight South. When the compass was moved away from that location, it read accurately.Apparently, a magnet in the stereo was throwing it off.
Brunton Nexus Rally Compass Great for a Car
Before buying a product I know nothing of, I do lots of research on the Internet.I first tried a Ritchie compass for my car (made in the USA), but its accuracy was questionable.I then focused on a Silva 58, made in Sweden, but the cost was high.Further research showed that Amazon sells a Brunton Nexus -- which is made by Silva and is exactly the same model as the Model 58, for an incredible price. The shipping was free, it came in three days, and it looks and works great. It has comnpensators that you can adjust, but I didn't need to.Attaches to the center of my dash, very easy to read and always accurate.Overall, a great product at a great price.

A NEW STANDARD
Garmin, with the Edge 305 heart rate/cadence, has set the standard and literally eliminated the competition. The only thing the others can do at this point is to copy in attempt to duplicate. We have (2) with HR and CAD. Both have been used on the flats of Los Angeles County to the hills of Orange/San Diego County. The GPS has never failed to work. Actually nothing on the Edge 305 has failed to work with about 1000 miles on each. You can program the screen to display multiple items and with a glance see all of your desired information. I monitor Speed, Distance, Elapsed ride time, Time of day, HR, CAD and Calories. Heck, The Edge 305 is better than the bike! The training software is also outstanding.
Nice, but pricey!
I've tried all different types of bike computers, and this, to me, was going to be the holy grail. Although the price is very high, it has a lot of functionality that I wanted. One really cool thing is that it gets coverage everywhere. I went to one place where my older eTrex never got coverage, and this worked flawlessly.

Good product for its price
Got an ICN 320 just before the Labor Day weekend and got to use
Not good enough
I was really pleased to get the Navman iCN item, but getting it to work is a real problem. The first problem, if I set off for a new address I could drive to it, about 5 miles, without it establishing a GPS link. In other words no life except it saying "testing". The second problem, it seems to have a problem working out where it is, then when it does these appeares to the brain inside the box, an intersection, which gets no response at all. Still, it does make sense on longer journeys than short ones.

Good in a limited way
I will make it short since there are already some nice, detailed reviews.
Reasonably priced good product
This is a great PDA and GPS receiver in one. I have been using this for 3 weeks and I love it. The only problem is that it requires a soft reset atleast twice a week (pda crashes). It provides routing and voice prompts. It does provide optimal routing 75% of the time. Overall good product.
The iQue 3600 has a high IQ
This is a terrific device.I am a long-time palm user, and this upgrade (adding the GPS and mapping) is awesome.
