Nice for the price!
This is a decent GPS device and a fine Pocket PC.I'd give it 3.5 stars if possible.
Adequate -but could have been great
I bought my PiN 570 in London before starting a 6 week trip around the UK.Being a Kiwi, I thought I'd support the Kiwi product.
Great GPS with PDA functions
I recently bought this item. The GPS functions are great but take a little getting used to. Your can plan a trip and the PIN 570 will tell you where to turn and quite cleaverly if you decide to take a different rout it will re compute the rest of the journey after warning that you have deviated from planned rout. It can be set to avoid toll roads and for varous ather settings.

Attention all farmers and ranchers
I have used GPS for years for flying to driving, but a lumber man turned me on to this inexpensive gadget as an invaluable tool for calculating acreage for fertilization or liming of fields. Turn it on, drive around the perimeter of the field you wish to measure, hit the button and it tells you exactly the acreage inside the area. You will pay for it the first time you use it. You will never order more or less than needed again.
Used only a few of its features, but it performed great
I bought the Venture back in the summer of 2003 and I was never let down by it.At that time the speedometer on my car went out and as a cheaper alternative to buying the new, expensive gauge cluster for my car, I bought this GPS with a dashboard mount. So this product was used literally every day, sometimes several times a day, and for several hours a day for over 2 years.
Great GPS receiver for basic hiking and backpacking.
I returned a Cobra GPS 100 and upgraded to the eTrex Venture for the extra money. What a difference only a few dollars more can make! this is my first GPS unit ever, and I had no problems picking everything up within a day.

Editorial Review Enjoy traffic relief while commuting to work or taking a road trip with the Cobra Nav One 4500, the first fully integrated portable navigation system with real-time traffic updates. The plug-and-play GPS navigator features a matchbook-sized traffic receiver that offers up-to-the-minute information on traffic accidents, congested roads, and construction zones in 48 major metropolitan areas across the U.S. As the unit receives the traffic data--which transmits via an FM radio feed from Tele Atlas N.V. and Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network--it processes the information and automatically suggests alternate routes, letting the driver detour around the worst snarls and enjoy a stress-free commute. It's the perfect unit for frustrated commuters and other folks who spend much of their day in the car. Read more

Promising, but flawed
We were in need of a navigation unit to guide us through our July 4th road trip. The route was Houston, to Corpus Christi, to San Antonio, Austin, and back to Houston. The 2000 Acura TL that we have has navigation but it's too small for a family trip.So we took the van and the Cobra Nav One with us.At first, it was love at first sight. The unit is gorgeous!!The bright touchscreen was big, bigger than any other competitors unit. And bright, oh boy, even during midday in Texas sun at the beach, being mounted on the dash, the unit was easily readable and legible.Best I have seen yet.The map data it has was incredible.Even the tiniest nooks and cranes in the backroad is contained here.Even the slightest curves on the road is acknowleged. The bazillions of interest points it has came in real handy when you're in a strange town looking for a particular restaurant.
Like a Porsche... without wheels!
When realtime traffic monitoring came to my city, I immediately started looking at solutions to help my wife's daily business driving (2-500 miles weekly, crisscrossing a 50-mile area through major traffic routes). I quickly settled on an automotive GPS with realtime traffic monitoring. There are not yet many choices in this area, so the options boiled down to this unit and the Garmin 2720. (These use FM radio for the traffic info; the XM-radio units like the TomTom 700 and Garmin 2730 had unacceptably high monthly costs since I don't want XM radio.)
Cobra GPS
I have used GPS units from Cobra, Garmin, and Lowrance.I consider this Cobra unit to be one of the best.I started with the Cobra but it was stolen after a month. Then I bought the Lowrance but it was too heavy and the mount was a sgood as the Cobra. I returned the Lowrance and bought the Garmin 340.

I very much like the M4.The calender is easy to use and so is the gps system. The gps system will recalculate your route if you get off course. You can also save specific addresses and delete them later if you want.
M4 almost perfect
I seem to have a GPS for every kind of activity I do and everyone of them excel, and also have weaknesses in one way or another.

Great Unit!No problems.
I am one of those directionally challenged ladies and I have a hard time navigating on the road in unfamiliar places. I was looking for a inexpensive GPS unit so I tried the Garmin C340 first. The C340 was very annoying, and was overpriced. It was hard to see the C340 screen in the daylight. The C340 was big, heavy and clumsy.
Nice try but no prize
I've had the unit for about a week now and am packing it up to return it for a refund:

very nicely done with the important detalis included

Works good
Having used my MIO 269 for about a month, I am very satisfied with its performance. The user interface is not intuitively obvious but after using the device and referring to the User Manual a few times, I really like its abilities. It has never failed to lead me to my destination and quickly recalculates new routes when I choose a different route than suggested. The maps are a little outdated (2004?) and I am trying to find out how to get updated maps, if possible. Overall, I am very happy with the GPS device but it was a little frustrating at first figuring out how to use it. Having purchased mine for only $199, I'm not complaining. I believe I got a lot for the money. The only major drawback I have is that you can't use the MP3 player at the same time as the GPS.
Nice idea, but...
Pros: Nice hardware / form factor design.

Great gps unit picks up signals very fast. I haved used it for one week and it is full of a lot of feature but could be better on input on the way changes from state to state, once I got it to change to the state that I wanted to find it worked just fine it would have been nice if it had a remote to help scan down the list of states etc,,,,,. I like the unit over all it works very well for the price. Map software seem to be very accurate but need some changes on the input I would have to say. small fits in your pocket, very easy to switch from car to car.

Perfect, Versatile GPS Unit
This is my second Garmin unit.My first was the eMap.I loved that one so I only researched other garmin units. This one had everything I wanted.I use it on the road, hiking the AT and marine navigation. To get more than simple use you have to purchased additional software.City Select for detailed local street level, Blue Charts for bathometric charts and topo for hiking.Battery life is excellent! The unit is larger than my eMap, but very light and water proof.
Bulky and expensive
I didn't realize that it is so bulky. it doesn't fit in a pocket. And, as other GPS-only devices, it is limited in functionality. I returned this item and got myself Dell Axim x51v and GlobalSat Bluetooth GPS receiver, which I'm pretty satisfied with.
Garmin GPSMap 76CS Handheld GPS Navigator
Got my 76cs for planing trips we take with a local motorcycle club. This unit guides you step by step to where you want to go. I have owned 4 Garmin GPS's and they all have beeen great -- this one is the best with add on's like navigation software for your PC. It makes planing you route easy and down loading it to you GPE is simple. One of the best units I have had!!!

Garmin GPS10
The bluetooth GPS device works well. The fact that it is weather resistant and has a strong magnet for holding it on the roof of your car adds to the versatility. However, the plug which weather proofs the connector socket when it is not being charged is not attached and very easy to lose. Also, the software for use with PDAs and phones does not allow you to plan a trip on your desktop or laptop and then download routes and waypoints to the phone. With that caveat, overall operation is excellent.
Great - But some of them die quickly
I've ordered about 20 of them. This is the best bluetooth GPS receiver out there. But I've had 4 or 5 of them just quit after a few uses.Garmin grumbles but honors the warranty by completely replacing the unit.GILware software is the best Windows based GPS navigation and mapping software and I use it in conjunction with these units; it is a great, easy to use setup.
