Very good speakers
I'm gonna have to agree with everyone else. These are very nice speakers for the price! Very controlled lows, and a pleasing sheen these speakers give to any music. Not sure how to described this 'sheen' or coloring if you will. It's subtle, but it's like there's some complicated general purpose EQ scheme going inside the speaker that seems to accentuate all the positives within the music. I really like this sheen. These speakers sound great with any music but excel most when playing at low, medium, or slightly loud levels. At very loud levels they are ok, but I would recommend something bigger and better...like the JBL E100's. I'm using these as my secondary set up speakers in another room. I am very pleased with this purchase. VERY, VERY good speakers just so long as you don't plan on jamming out really, really loudly with them.

Wow!
Hey I gotta say I'm impressed. I bought these as a gift for a brother in law to boost him into the home theater market. I was suprised that Consumer Report listed these at the top of the list considering the price I got them for but was a little sceptical and couldn't wait to plug these into my high powered audio system to test them of course before giving them to him. Wow! I unplugged my Klipsch 500watt tower speakers hooked up the sony's and gently eased up the volume testing the range and punch of these very affordable speakers. Man I'm still scratching my head in disbelief they really are impressive and I'm so glad I got them. I purchased the matching center/surround speaker set to complete the set but havn't tested them out yet. to be continued...

i recently purchased these speakers for my patio setup.the sound quality wont blow your mind, but it does not sound bad.its large and lound enough to hear for an outdoor speaker for the price. it has a switch in the back for outdoor/indoor.not really sure what that does.very easy installation with the brackets included.(no screws provided) overall great unit for thye price

Quality Floor Standing Speaker
I'm a college kid, recreational audiophile and bass fanatic, studying engineering.I started off building a custom sub encloser with dual Kicker CompVR 12" subs driven by a 1200W Sony amp. I haven't stopped searching for great sound since.
A great pair of speakers at a great price.
I just received these speakers two days ago and I must say I like what I'm hearing. I bought these to replace a pair of JBL bookshelf speakers that I bought twenty years ago. These are a big improvement. They're much bigger than my old speakers which makes my wife a bit annoyed, but the fidelity is well worth "that look" that I got from her when I first set them up in the living room. They sound great whatever type of music (rock, classical, ambient) I've played through them so far. Great range of sound. Good highs and lows. They came well packed and seem like they can withstand my kids. My only worry is they have a bit of a high center of gravity and I hope my toddler won't pull them over. Otherwise I'm very happy with these speakers and would recommend them to any music fan who wants great quality at a great price.

Awesome Speakers for the money
I just bought a pair of these, and they ROCK! These are the best speakers I have ever owned. I just replaced my old Acoustic Research 410's which had received water damage recently. Excellect fit and finish, and the sound quality is phenomenal! I did some serious shopping for replacement speakers and almost every store suggested the JBL's over the Polk,Infinity, Sony, Pioneer, etc...I'm not an audiophile, but for the money and for just listening to music, you cannot go wrong with these. ... Clean, Strong Sound

Excellent value for money !
Bought a pair of infinity 360s after searching and comparing several speaker sets. Bottom line for me was these were the best speakers under $500. Plus, Crutchfield, where i bought them from (btw they are an excellent vendor for customer service - no im not paid by them to say this) had a special where I also got the matching center channel C20 for free.
Awesome Sound`
I bought these speakers yesterday and can't get enough! I had narrowed it down between the Infinity and the JBL E-80 and the Infinity's sound much crisper and cleaner,from movies to music they are a perfect match for my surround system.

The jbl E90 is a very good sounding speaker system.At 400 bucks for the pair,this is very good deal.The speakers are a little bright and are best used with neutral sounding seperate amplifers or a high current receiver rated for more than 100 watts at 4 ohms...If the amplifier has a 2 ohm ,high current rating,thats good too.Most amps clip or limit without 4 drive,and contrary to popular belief,A low powered or current limited amp can damage your speakers more easily than a amp. that is loafing along.You will need a good subwoofer with these speakers..I highly recommend these speakers. !Enjoy!.I thank you Stewart L.

Sound great to me
Amazon recently dropped their price for these speakers (to about half of list), and offers free shipping, too.For items that weigh 50 lbs. apiece, that's a really good deal.I've had these for two weeks, and they sound great.I mainly use them as part of my 5.1 surround sound setup, but I tested them with music, too.I checked out the E60 and E80 models at a local store, and liked them.The E90 is better!

not bad but there's better for the money
If these sold for around $400-500 instead of $600-700, I'd say they were pretty good.However at their usual retail prices around $600 you can do better with lesser known brands like Paradigms, Monitor Audio, Ascend Accoustics, and Axioms.

Great speakers!!!
I recently purchased these speakers from a local walmart for about $20.00 and I am impressed with the quality of sound that these produce. Altec lansing has always been my brand of choice and has served me well. I play games, watch movies, and listen to music with these speakers and the sound is excellent. they can be very loud and at the higher of volumes, does start shaking things. I tried.i would absolutely recommend these to anyone who wants quality sound.

Great speaker system!
I really enjoy listening to these speakers.They have a well balanced sound.I can connect them right to my ipod or laptop.They sound great with any kind of music, games, or movies.I love the fact that they have volume, bass and tone controls all on the front of the base box.Can't beat the price either!I would recommend these speakers to anyone that likes high quality sound but can't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on an expensive speaker system that probably won't sound any better.

First off, they have diffrent name then on my box- mine are Bx3. Everything looks the same though. These speakers CRANK! Crystal clear on all notes, ballsy base for audio and games. UT2004 is a blast to play now, Doom3 + reserection becomes more intense with these speakers. All around, beats the hell outas my creative labs set. These speakers are awesome looking, and awesome sounding. I own 4 different pair of polk audio speakers. One set being a satellite system which are ok, one set of older floor models which sound good, one pair of large bookshelf speakers which also sound ok, but these suckers sound down right incredible. I have to say they are the best sounding speakers I have ever owned. These speakers give crisp clear highs, solid and full midrange, and deep bass, everything you want out of a floor model speaker. I hear things in songs I never knew were there before. Before you buy any other speaker do yourself a favor and give the RTi10 a listen, you will surely be blown away. Great bargain, decent sound
Fine speakers to augment an existing system.Probably better when used in conjuction with another set of speakers and a sub-woofer.But an incredible value for someone looking for a pair of servicable, affordable, attractive tower speakers.

For the price-it'll do
I just purchased the whole line of champion series from Jensen.
yes thay are short, but you can't hear size
a good freind of mine is using these for the front L/R on his HTIB set-up, and thay work well for the 2 ohm diffrence between the HTIB's speakers and these (I think these have a higher sensitveity, and that helps).the sound quality won't knock 'yer socks off, thay arn't B&W after all, but, thay sound... well, nice. transparent relly, and transparent is good, as far as tiny floorstanding go these are a good deal, I have auditiend a pare of JBL E60 at Best Buy, and I perfer the jensen's: there is ,say, "more to" the JBL's sound, but thay were just so boomy... I think I went mad listining to them. well... not relly, but, there is to much boom in the JBL's; to much to make for a good listing experince, the jensen's on the other hand, sound pritty clear, if perhaps boring.
