I was completely amazed at the quality of the product for the price. I have owned severel different types of equalizers in the past and this one is very nice. Can't go wrong.

This is a great EQ
I had invested in a good home theatre system but the sound output was lacking, I had a friend who recommended this product and I will forever be greatful to the EQ, My sound is just excellent. I highly recommend this product to you if you want good quality sound. It is just great.

Such A Wonderful Confusion
I listen to a lot of music, and I've learned through the years that onboard equalizers for stereos are usually pretty worthless.So, in owning a relatively inexpensive(I paid around $500 for the Component Stereo and CD Player a few years back) sound system, it was worth my money to get an EQ that I could control.Now I'm going to admit right now, I'm a picky person when it comes to asthetics, which is partly why I bought the EQ200 in the first place.The unit is laid out very well, and looks better as a component than any other EQ on the market(outside of the recent Technical Pro brands(but from what I can tell, they're [...])).The sound quality, once you've tuned it into what your preference is, is absolutely top-notch.One of the best things about a good Equalizer is the ability to make an okay stereo sound like a system that costs much more than it actually is.The precise and accurate reproduction of the sound that comes from this EQ would make you expect to pay much more for the quality(as it makes CDs really come to life).I cannot express to you the difference this EQ will make with the right adjustments.

Works great with Logitech Z-2300!
Recently I purchased a Logitech Z-2300 speaker system at a great price from Amazon to use primarily with our TV/DirectTV.I knew it was really designed to use with a computer system, but the reviews were so good that I thought I'd give it a try.Sure enough - as everyone said - the Z-2300 bass and volume were astounding.But the midrange was surprisingly weak.Some reviewers stated that using a software equalizer would improve the Z-2300 a lot so I figured, why not try a hardware equalizer?I seached for info and found that the EQ100 was very highly rated so I bought one from Amazon and it made a tremendous difference. The EQ100 has an equalizer in/out button that you can press to immediately hear the difference it makes. And it makes a BIG difference.Strangely, the sound seems "wider." For $60 I'm happy.

I haven't had an equalizer since 1979 so I had to reaquaint myself with their usage.This one is a terrific deal for the money,for like most electronics , it would have been much more money years ago.It real shines when trying to brighten up the sound of cassette tapes since their high end is lacking compared to CDs.I do not use it for newer remastered CDs because I find nothing amiss with their sound;however some older CDs are definitely improved with equalization.So if your music collection is a mixed bag of old and new recordings,do yourself a favor and pick up one of these! ... Couldn't do my job without it.
First off... note:I don't use this for my MP3 player.I'm a medical transcriptionist who spends her day immersed in technical dictation by doctors with heavy accents, surrounded by background noise, often speaking nearly inaudibly.This thing has saved the day for me.The EQ on the unit helps allay the inconsistency in sound quality from one dictator's environment to the next.The volume control has made even the quietest dictations perfectly audible.

I use this equalizer for transcribing cassette tapes and digital uploads in my home business.It works like a charm at eliminating most background noises, adjusting bass voices for better audibility, and provides up to 75% volume increase for soft voices.Would be great for secretaries whose bosses dictate on airplanes or in the car, too.It also works well for MP3 players and all kinds of stereo systems.Simply plug your headphone into the equalizer, and the equalizer into the headphone outlet of your stereo or dictation equipment. Great little gadget!!!

This is a bad product, waste your money on something else.
Total garbage. No only this thing is huge, bigger than most mp3 players and it doesn't have a belt clip or anything, it sounds awful, absolutely horrible. The hiss others complained about is very loud, it also picks up all sorts of interference resulting in beeping, buzzing and all kinds of high pitched noises. Besides the hiss and the interference the sound is horrible, low dynamics and distorts easily. This is a bad product that should be taken off the market. It's not even worth the price here. Definitely a required item.
Bose 901's have a very odd response curve, and the active equalizer is a specialized preamp of sorts to smooth out the sound and emphasize the low and top end.For some strange reason Bose hasn't gone digital with this preamp.Its 100% analog.A pre-out loop needs to be available on your amp before you can set it up properly.The amp also should be a plain stereo amp, since the equalizer shapes the sound so much that if you connect a 2nd set of speakers (b-channel) they will sound very harsh and could even damage them.
